Clubs Galore

CLUBS GALORE Visit Site

Cost:

From $71.85 to $269.40

Clubs Galore provides several options for your gifting needs. The coffee club is straightforward and includes two 12 oz bags of different premium coffees. But the website took a little longer to maneuver.

Coffee shipments vary from Columbian Supreme to Brazil Santos with selections either full-bodied or smooth and gentle. Coffees are also grown in other superior regions such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, Indonesia and Hawaii, by skilled roasters.

The Clubs Galore website clearly lists their customer guarantee and that was comforting. Once we looked around we learned that the membership is more flexible than we originally assumed as far as frequency. You may purchase a 3 to 12 month membership with monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly deliveries. Payments plans are available but for only certain members, which was a little misleading from what was posted. Payment plan options are only available for 9 and 12 month memberships, otherwise you'll pay the entire fee upfront.

Membership Overview:

  • Coffee Selection:  Ground or whole bean selected at check out
  • Duration:  3, 6, 9, 12 month
  • Frequency:  Monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly
  • Shipping:  Included in the cost

Unlike other higher ranked clubs, you don't receive a monthly newsletter that describes the delivered coffees. However, your recipient will receive a gift message each time to remind them of your generosity.

Overall, Clubs Galore provides a good coffee club membership with some website clarity issues. While the pricing was fair we would like to see improvements in their stated information.

iGourmet

iGOURMET Visit Site

Cost:

From $59.99 to $215.99

iGourmet offers a lower priced coffee of the month club along with several other food and beverage gifts. The website lacks some professionalism though and we struggled at first to find the monthly club section among the other food and gifts available. We liked that iGourmet provides an information sheet to guide you through the coffee selection of the month but had concerns about the flexibility of the membership.

iGourmet provides one unique coffee selection per month in a 12-16 oz bag. The coffee arrives in whole bean form only, which may not meet the needs of everyone. We could not find specific information on the packaging attesting to its freshness.

Membership Overview:

  • Coffee Selection:  Whole bean only
  • Duration:  3, 6, 12 month
  • Frequency:  Monthly only
  • Shipping:  Included

iGourmet primarily focuses on providing gourmet food. This is evident in the lack of plan flexibility with regards to frequency, duration and payment options. The iGourmet coffee club provides approximately half of the coffee of other higher ranked coffee clubs. The website is not geared for a serious club membership seeker and we couldn't find any good reason to choose them over those higher ranked.

There is also a variety of options regarding coffee selections. They are either predetermined by the company, selected by the gift recipient, or come as a surprise.

However, not all coffee clubs are the same. It's important to understand the differences between coffee club memberships before you sign up. Some of the features you should be aware of include:

  • Flexibility.  Will you be able to select the length of the coffee club membership and the frequency of delivery that meets your needs and budget? Do you have to select the coffee choices, or can they be selected for you by the company?
  • Cost.  What can you expect to pay for the coffee club membership? How does that cost compare to the competition?
  • Refund Policy.  If you aren't happy with the coffee club membership for any reason, are you able to receive any portion of your membership cost back?
