If you've stood in line at the college bookstore at the start of any college semester, you know the hassle of buying college textbooks. A semester's worth of college textbooks can cost hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars, hitting that bank account really hard.

Get Your College Textbooks at Book Renter Today! However, a whole world of cost saving opportunity awaits on the internet today. Many college students are taking advantage of online college textbook stores. College textbooks can easily be purchased online for much less cost than you can find in a bookstore. College students can enjoy even bigger savings by renting college textbooks, buying used college textbooks, or even purchasing downloaded versions of college textbooks.

If you're interested in saving money, online college textbook stores are the way to go. However, not all college textbook stores offer the same options, and some have a lot of fine print in their rental contracts that you may not notice.

Before making your next college textbook purchase, you should consider the following factors:

  • Selection. Will you find the college textbook you're looking for quickly?
  • Return Policy. Can you end your college textbook rental agreement or return the textbook if the class is cancelled or dropped?
  • Options. Will you be able to rent, purchase, or sell your college textbooks as needed?
  • Prices. How do the college textbook rental and purchase prices compare to the competition?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best College Textbook stores available today. We hope these reviews help you save time and money finding the right college textbooks!

Campus Book Rentals

CAMPUS BOOK RENTALS

If you have decided to rent your college textbooks, Campus Book Rentals is an online book store to consider. They have competitive rental prices and make the rental process as easy as possible for you. They do not offer the option to buy and sell, which provides a little less flexibility than some companies but the return policy is good. Read More... Visit

Textbookx

TEXTBOOKX

Textbookx has a long history of selling books online but lacks many of the student friendly policies of companies ranked higher. The website functionality is decent but the variation on seller means policy and shipping changes. If youre only looking for used books, Textbookx is worth a shot but prices should be compared to other companies ranked higher. Read More... Visit

Book Byte

BOOK BYTE

Maintaining it's family-style approach to business, Book Byte strives to provide fast, honest and reliable service to it's customers. Book Byte offers the options of buying and selling textbooks through their website. We found the delivery time was a little longer than those higher ranked and could create some issues for those starting school without their necessary resources. We also didn't like that Book Byte doesn't rent books which, is generally, the best way to save money. Read More... Visit

Skyo

SKYO

Skyo is a online college textbook company and partners with Follett the largest college textbook store in the U.S. The online shopping experience was unpredictable at Skyo. We found a few good deals but otherwise found better in-stock quantities and rental prices elsewhere. The website was easy to use but policies were vague. Read More... Visit
