DRUM LESSONS

If you've ever dreamt of playing drums in a band, why not make that dream happen? In the past, drum lessons have been provided by an instructor at a local music shop or their home. Scheduling drum lessons and traveling to the studio can make the training effort challenging and frustrating. Learning how to play drums by an instructor is not only inconvenient, but can also be very expensive over time. Instructor-led lessons can easily cost thousands of dollars just to learn the basics.

However, other methods of learning the drums have recently become available that are both flexible and cost effective. You can now find good quality drum lesson instruction on the internet. The formats include DVD's, CD's, downloaded instructions, and online training videos. You can learn the drums at your own pace and on your own schedule.

However, not all drum training is the same or effective. Many companies make lofty promises to train you quickly and with little work. Before you buy one of these packages for drum lessons, consider these important factors:

•  Who's selling the product and what will you receive? If you're expected to watch a video from your PC and then turn to play the drums is that going to work for you?

•  Cost. How much will you have to pay for your drum lessons? How does that cost compare to other top providers?

•  Return policy. If you aren't satisfied with your drum lessons, can you get your money back?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked several drum lesson providers. We hope you find these reviews helpful in finding the right drum lessons for you!

Mike Michalkow's Drumming system

3.5 Stars

MIKE MICHALKOW'S DRUMMING SYSTEM

Mike Michalkow's drumming system is well organized, extensive and very expensive. This training program is geared for beginners that are willing to spend an arm and a leg to learn the drums. While this is a quality program it does not have any forum for connecting with peers or teachers and again is very expensive.

Rock Drumming System

3 Stars

ROCK DRUMMING SYSTEM

With lower cost comes lower quality. Rock Drumming System does provide the DVD's and work books but the training is less professional and the credentials of the company and instructor are unknown.

Begin Drumming

2.5 Stars

BEGIN DRUMMING

Begin Drumming includes very basic - low cost training. You can anticipate a 12 month membership to online video training. You will also receive several mp3 files to practice. Learning drums off the computer seemed awkward to us.

Drumming Made Easy

DRUMMING MADE EASY

Like any instrument, learning takes time and that's just common sense. We had a tough time getting past the hokey sales pitch, the outrageous price, and unprofessional website at Drumming Made Easy.

Music Master Pro

1 Star

MUSIC MASTER PRO

This site is geared toward the sales pitch and not quality drum lessons. Also, the video quality at Music Master Pro made it hard to pay attention and stay focused. We recommend you select a higher ranked product.
