Dann Sherrill, professional percussionist and drumset player from Nashville, is the trainer on each DVD and goes into detail on the session's material, offers tips, and provides a fun and upbeat attitude. The drum lesson training package includes a well organized set of 12 DVD's,
5 play-along CDs and a 100 page
lesson book.
This product is very fairly priced and makes a great gift for the want-to-be drummer in your life. Learn and Master also offers a payment plan to reduce your cost from one lump payment to either 3 or 4 as you prefer. The cost is a $4 surcharge but we thought this was well worth it.
In the event that you aren't satisfied with the drum lesson training, Learn and Master offers a 60-day return policy for a full refund of the purchase price. Course materials must be in like-new condition with no scratches or markings.
Another nice feature of the Learn and Master drum lesson package is the on-line community offered through their website. Dan Sherrill is available to answer questions and provide support. Students may also discuss their progress with peers and interact with other students.
For a very competitive price, Learn and Master provides well organized, high quality, leading edge drum lessons geared to meet the specific needs of each individual student. With training provided in DVD format

Mike Michalkow has been a professional drummer and educator for over 20 years. He's performed and trained with other famous drummers such as Dom Famularo, Chad Smith, John "JR" Robinson, Virgil Donati, and more. His training package is geared for beginners and includes a well organized yet expensive effort to teach drums.
The 20 DVD package focuses on some of the following topics:
• How to Play Drums by ear
• How to Practice Efficiently
• Drum Theory and Notation
• Hand Technique
• Drum Rudiments
• Foot Techniques
The package also includes 15 CD's and 5 workbooks to assist in your education.
If you aren't satisfied with your order, you have 90 days to return for a full refund minus shipping charges. This product does offer Monday through Friday customer service assistance should you have any questions.
Overall this is a nice, well organized, drum lesson package but is very expensive in comparison to the competition. For better value we recommend you select a higher ranked product that's easier on the check book.

The Rock Drumming System is a DVD based training tool geared toward the beginner-to-advanced player that wants to learn to play the drums. This busy website has some fast talk and heavy sales pitch but in the end it's a fair priced DVD-based video training system. Jared Falk is the creator of The Rock Drumming System - admittedly unknown to most we couldn't identify many of his credentials.
The system includes 4 Printed Workbooks, 4 DVD's, and a Play-Along CD with some additional bonuses. The training focuses on the following topics and more; fundamental drumming, how to hold the drumsticks, bass drum technique, hi-hat technique, understanding drum theory, quarter note beats, how to play with groove, half bar fills, eighth note fills, two bar fills, and solo-building
patterns.
In the event you are not satisfied you have 90 days to return. This company does have an email address and 1-800 number for questions regarding your order.
In the end, we felt that the quality of the training was less than our higher ranked products and we had concerns with the professionalism of the site. We would have also preferred to better understand the history of the trainer, Jared Falk.

Begin Drumming provides a lot of distracting sales pitch and not a lot of product. While priced at only $49.95 you get what you pay for here. Jim McCarthy is the instructor and founder of Begin Drumming and has 20 years teaching experience and an advanced degree in percussion performance but we're not sure from where.
The training includes a 12 month membership to his website where
you receive your training on-line. You'll also receive 198 separate audio files which you download on your time. These audio files are to be downloaded to your ipod or MP3 at the speed you select to assist with your learning. Given that you receive your training on-line we weren't sure how you'd set that up next to your drum set.
In the event that you are not happy with your membership you may return within 8 weeks for a full refund.
All in all we weren't that impressed with Begin Drumming. From the unprofessional website, to the heavy sales pitch, along with the "membership" and no physical training tools. Perhaps if you are without a DVD player this might be the only option for those wanting to learn how to play the drums.

Our first impressions of Drumming Made Easy were "unprofessional" and "expensive". This site looks homemade and despite their efforts to sell, sell, sell we weren't impressed. The training is geared towards beginners and includes 3 very expensive DVD's, with 6 hours of lessons and 150 page workbook.
The trainer is Mike Ray from Australia. No other information related to his training or credentials was made available.
Unique to this training is that your credit card will be charged again automatically in 12 months if you don't cancel. You're being charged for membership to this site. Another scary aspect of this product is that the purchase agreement clearly states that you will be contacted from telemarketers if you buy this product.
If you aren't satisfied with your purchase you may return within 60 days for a full refund minus $20.00 for shipping and handling.
While we liked the prospect of receiving physical training materials we had serious concerns with regard to the price of this product and the uneasy feeling we received from reading the purchase agreement and what it entailed. We recommend you choose a more professional, straightforward product for your drum lesson needs.

The price might grab your eye but you need to better understand what Instrument Master provides to make a well informed decision. At $29.95 you'll receive an MP3 formatted lesson or, downloaded lessons in PDF file formats and some video training drums, piano, violin and more. The website is littered with adds and promotions which takes away from the professionalism of the site as
well as the validity of their intentions. Additionally, this site is also full of big promises of grand proportions.
The "bonuses" alone seem to be lip service only and lack authenticity and the quality of the higher ranked products. The video quality was poor and unimpressive and made it hard to watch.
In the event that you're unhappy you may return the product within 60 days of purchase. We're not confident this seeming fly-by-night operation will be around to return your purchase but that is the stated return policy. We were unable to get a response from the makers of Instrument Master despite their claims to have a customer team.
With poor quality training, lack of tangible materials , and heavy sales efforts we were not impressed with Instrument master. We recommend you purchase from a higher ranked provider that provides legitimate drum lessons.
