Nest Learning

NEST LEARNING Visit Site

TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award Nest Learning offers a plethora of home school supplies for preschool to grade 12. Nest Learning has been providing school supplies and Christian education for over 20 years. There's a lot to offer at Nest.

We found the tabs at the top were the best method of navigating the Nest Learning website. You can choose from home school animated DVD's, supplies, bibles, teaching resources, and more. Under the Home School tab, Nest offers Grade Level education.

Grade level curriculum costs range from an affordable $250.00 and up. Most grade level kits, as they call them, include all five core subjects. Nest also sells supplemental learning resources to further emphasize and aid in grammar, math, language, bible studies, social studies and more.

A big selling point at Nest are the animated DVD's for Christian education and Character building. Leadership, trust, relationship, and compassion are some of the topics addressed. You'll also find a nice selection of parent resources covering home school information, parenting, teaching, and more.

Nest Learning offers a tremendous amount of Home School Supplies at affordable prices. If you're looking for anything home school related, Nest Learning should be your first place to look.

K12 School Supplies

K12 SCHOOL SUPPLIES Visit Site

K12 School Supplies has been in business since 2001 and provides a host of educational material designed for teachers, parents and home schooling. They pride themselves on their affordable pricing and discounts offered over the competition.

The shopping experience at K12 is less efficient than we typically like but the selection and pricing are impressive. If you are looking for something education related you'll definitely find it at K12. Arts & Crafts, audio visual equipment, bulletin boards, homeschool curriculum, lesson plans, decorations, special needs materials, puzzles and so much more. K12 offers resources and products from over 300 suppliers including big names like Eureka, Horizon, Carson Dellosa, Frank-Shaffer, and Teachers Friend.

The home school product list includes curriculum for grades preschool through grade 12 and typically start at $180. K12 School Supplies also offers foreign language, bible study, computer, home economics, health and other additional curriculum programs not included in the core programs.

K12 School Supplies also offers an abundance of educational material for teachers in the classroom or at home. The prices are some of the lowest among those reviewed but the shopping experience is less informative and organized. If you are looking for school supplies for your home classroom, K12 School supplies is worth a second look.

Knowledge Box Central

KNOWLEDGE BOX CENTRAL Visit Site

Knowledge Box Central is a company that specializes in lapbooks - a tool utilized to encourage information retention. Lapbooks are separated by age group and subject. These products are used in conjunction with a separate curriculum.

We liked the Knowledge Box Central concept. The eBooks provide on-line education for a fair price and the purchased physical lapbooks help reinforce the effort. The color psychology in these lapbooks are also said to encourage further information retention. Lapbook subjects include a wide range of subjects including math, science, music, history, and grammar. Additional subjects include geography, music, personal finance and more.

In some subject categories the product layout was a bit cumbersome. Shoppers are asked to look through hundreds of options without options to narrow the search. Each subjects eBooks start at $5 and the printed materials for the physical lapbook range from $20 and more. Purchasing an eBook and lapbook materials for each subject could add up over the year. Other products available at Knowledge Box Central include flash cards and G.A. Henty audio books.

Knowledge Box Central offers a different approach to learning than other companies reviewed. The online learning combined with building a lapbook creates an interactive learning experience that would add value for many students. We felt the website had some opportunities for improvement but were excited about many of the products available for home school students.

ABC Home Preschool

ABC HOME PRESCHOOL Visit Site

ABC Home Preschool provides a handful of educational materials for ages 2-6 designed by a stay-at-home mom that wanted to educate her child from the safety of home. The overall product list is limited but affordable for a young learner.

Choose from a 9 month curriculum designed for 2, 3 or 4 to 6 year olds. For around $140 you'll receive a binder filled with wipe off workbook pages covering subjects such as writing, arithmetic, science, social studies and reading. These workbooks appear to be hand made yet useful for those teaching their children at home.

ABC Home Preschool website unfortunately had many adds and links that got in the way of showcasing their products. At times we noticed more advertisement links than products on several pages.

ABC Home Preschool offers a straightforward and short product list. We couldn't get a sense for the expertise behind the author of these products. However we liked the laminated pages and option to reuse the education for the additional children. Priced lower than more professional choices, ABC Home Preschool might meet the needs of some parents.

Home Schooling Supply

HOME SCHOOLING SUPPLY Visit Site

Home Schooling Supply is said to offer 30,000 products for your educational needs. But, unfortunately we found their website to be one of the most frustrating shopping experiences out there.

Microscopic font and eligible pictures make it hard to see what they offer at Home Schooling Supply. To navigate the website you have the option to search a long list of product categories on the left, type in the product in a free format field or choose the grade, publisher or subject. The font is literally so small that 20/20 vision and a microscopic would still leave you squinting Home Schooling Supply.

We determined that the variety of educational products at Home Schooling Supply was very diverse. Choose from microscopes, puzzles, Christian videos, resources, crafts and more. The home schooling curriculum was harder to find. We finally located it under Alpha Omega. The curriculum is from Switched on Schoolhouse and includes a 5 subject curriculum for grades 3 through 12. We were unable to find curriculum for preschool through grade 3 at Home Schooling Supply. Each grade runs about $400.00. Additional materials available include a reading program and diagnostic testing. We were unable to find any products for electives or foreign language.

Despite a wide variety of products Home Schooling Supply didn't meet our needs for even the basics like curriculum and electives. The website appearance and functionality was seriously lacking. We recommend you choose a higher ranked company for your home school supply needs
