CARD STORE Visit Site

Cost:

Starting from $1.69

The Card Store is an American Greetings company, one of the greeting card giants, that provides a nice selection of cards and photo card templates online. For those wanting to personalize their cards with pictures, the Card Store has implemented an easy to use website with numerous attractive templates to choose from.

The Card Store really has no niche as they attempt to cater to all seasons and special occasions. You may choose from their photo card selection by clicking on photo cards on the top and then choosing from:

  • Photo Greeting Cards
  • Photo Postcards
  • Photo Thank You Cards
  • Photo Holiday Cards
  • Photo Birth Announcements
  • Photo Birthday Invites, Graduation and Save the Date Cards

To create a personalized photo card you simply click on the category of photo cards you need. Choose from several flat or folded options. The website guides you through the process of adding photos, personalizing the card with your own thoughts and modifying the colors as you like best. As we were making our own Christmas cards we were momentarily confused with some of the steps but feel that was mainly the result of font size and figured out what to do next. Flat and folded cards typically run between $1.69 and $2.99 and the larger quantity purchases will allow you to save money.

Card Store likes to provide customer friendly services. You may contact them via email and phone support for any questions. They also offer free shipping on certain items which is a great way to save on costs. Card Store will address your envelops and mail to the recipient if you so choose. We found this a great option for those that are on the go!

Card Store offers a large selection of photo cards for various occasions. We really liked the option to have Card Store post and mail our photo cards for us. The creation process was not as flawless as the higher ranked provider but we eventually figured out how to finish making our cards. If you are looking to send out photo cards Card Store is definitely worth your consideration.

Minted began in 2007 and takes a different approach to their creative effort. Independent graphic designers from around the world supply the designs for cards and photo cards at Minted.

To search the photo card offerings at Minted you may review the offerings under holiday, wedding, baby & kids, and party. This was the only aspect of Minted that we didn't absolutely love. When you go into each category you're not sure if photo cards are available or not. You have to look through and see the templates to identify the options.

The creation process at Minted is very user friendly. Simply click on your photo card design, adjust colors if you like, choose flat or folded, upload a picture, add text and choose from some additional high quality options to personalize your card. Minted will ask you to confirm the proof the order before it goes to print. You will find that Minted provides some of the highest quality paper products and design options but you'll pay for them. Minted is not a place to shop if you are on a tight budget.

Should you have any questions or concerns Minted offers email and phone support. Photo card orders typically leave the shop in 2 to 3 business days. We loved the customer friendly option to upload a photo and see how it looks in a hand full of holiday photo cards all at once.

Minted offers new designs and high quality photo cards that you won't see over and over again each year. Be prepared to pay more at Minted but many find it's definitely worth it.

AMERICAN GREETINGS Visit Site

Cost:

Starting from $1.69

American Greetings, well known for their success with greeting cards, offers an interactive website designed to offer online cards, photo cards, print at home cards and more. Our initial challenge was finding their various selection of photo cards to look through.

You will eventually find photo cards for various occasions by looking for what they call a personalized paper card. Under products you will look for personalized paper card and then see sub categories for photo Christmas cards and photo graduation cards. We found on our own that additional photo cards were available throughout other categories but were sparse.

To make a photo card at American Greetings you click on the template you like, and hit personalize. The website guides you through the process of adding photos, personalizing the card with your own thoughts and modifying the colors as you like best.

As we were making our own graduation announcement we were confused for a moment or two on what to do next but found that if we scrolled down the page a bit it made more sense of what we were supposed to be doing. Flat and folded cards typically run between $1.69 and $2.99 for one card and drop significantly the more your order. Free shipping is available on many of the photo card options.

American Greetings offers email and phone support for any questions. They also offer free shipping on certain items which is a great way to save on costs. Card Store will address your envelops and mail to the recipient if you so choose.

While getting to the photo cards section at American Greetings was more of a challenge than we wanted to experience we liked the options and appreciated the affordable prices. We thought American Greetings would appeal to many customers.

Simply To Impress

SIMPLY TO IMPRESS Visit Site

Cost:

Starting from $1.46

Simply to Impress started in 2003 with a mission to provide personalized invitations and announcements using modern designs. The president of the company utilized her own designs to begin the business but has sense expanded to include the work of several others. Simply to Impress has the highest minimum order of 25 of all the websites we reviewed.

Not all but most of the Simply to Impress selection are photo cards. There's really no way to decipher what will pull up based on their current website but you'll find almost all photo cards in most sections. Otherwise, all cards may be personalized with your own text. The different categories include birth announcements, invitations, thank you, and holiday cards. The holiday card section was expansive across multiple celebrations. We loved their pet section and thought that was a really nice touch.

To make a photo card at Simply to Impress you simply choose your design choice, the quality and finish of paper you prefer, the card size, and the quantity. Once you hit the personalize button you're directed to upload a photo, drag it in place and situate it as preferred. the edit text option was less obvious then we would have liked. We clicked on the text and figured out how to modify the words.

Your personalized cards are produced in 2 days and may be shipped out various methods. Shipping is a bit more than some of the companies higher ranked with a starting fee of $8.00 for 2-4 Questions may be directed to Simply to Impress via email, live chat or phone call.

Simply to Impress has a nice offering of photo cards and a generally easy to use website. The card selection covers a diverse number of events and announcements. Our only concern was the 25 minimum purchase requirement. This not only ups your expenditure but might leave many with unwanted cards they didn't need to pay for.

TINY PRINTS Visit Site

Cost:

Starting from $2.59

Tiny Prints is a child focused website that provides photo cards, invitations, mommy cards and more. The company started in 2004 and has slowly added to their line of product offerings. The photo card creations are attractive but very child and parent friendly.

When navigating the Tiny Prints website you simply click on occasions, baby & kids, holidays, invitations, or announcements. You will find additional subcategories and nice search functionality that allows you to narrow down how many pictures you'd like to use, theme, color, prices and more. Our favorite item was a tri-fold card that allowed for multiple pictures and was unique to what we generally see around the holidays. Tiny prints offers various holiday cards for various religions.

To make a photo card you simple choose your favorite design, select the quantity, matte or semi-glossy, rounded or square corners, and the personalization button. The website does a good job of simplifying the process to update your personalization text and add a photo. we also licked that you can upload photos from Shutterfly, Facebook, Flickr, Picassa and your home computer. After you've moved the picture into the right spot your asked to look at the back of the card. We couldn't tell why and didn't see that changes were an option. Next you review your work and hit submit. Tiny Prints will address and mail out the photo cards. The cost is for envelope printing and postage.

If you have a problem or question you may call, email or live chat with Tiny Prints. However, we waited in a long line for live chat and missed our chance to speak with someone. Standard shipping is the cheapest method and is a flat $7.50 for 7-9 days.

Tiny Prints had some cute offerings of photo cards but may not meet everyone's needs as they seem to cater to children and young families. Their personalization process was pretty straightforward. Tiny Prints does require you purchase at least 10 cards.

YORK PHOTO Visit Site

Cost:

Starting from $.63

York Photo Labs is best known for their days of physical pictures from developing 32 mm film. York has diversified their business and now offers a selection of photo books, photo cards and more.

York provides a large number of photo card templates that you might expect to see at the drug store photo area during Christmas time. We found some were really cute for kids but didn't see anything new and exiting that wowed our socks off.

The York Labs website is user friendly and allows you to search by Cards and then by holiday, occasion and purpose. We liked that you can search further by design, number of photos, price, card type and more. Some cards require at least a minimum purchase of 20 while others allow for single card purchases.

To create a personalized photo card you click on the template you like, sign in to York Photo, upload photos from your computer only, apply the photos, and then add text.

The return policy is more ambiguous at York. They state that a customer should contact them if they are unhappy. However, the only method of communication is through email. This may be frustrating for some that don't have the time or patience to wait for a response.

If you are looking for photo cards that are truly unique and are backed with strong customer support shop a higher ranked photo card provider.
