In today's busy society, sometimes we need - or want - to lose weight fast. With so many diet options available, many people don't want to spend weeks or months trying different diets, searching for subtle changes in their weight. They want a program that delivers weight loss quickly, healthily, and on a schedule that's convenient for them.
TopConsumerReviews.com has scoured the internet and found several rapid weight loss diets. Some of these plans you may have heard of before; and some are sold strictly over the internet. While all dieters should consult their doctor for advice on specific health needs, we offer this information to help you find a plan the brings you speedy success.
When evaluating the different rapid weight loss options, there are certain factors you need to consider. Some of these include:
• Rate of Weight Loss. How fast can you expect to lose weight with the plan?
• Complexity. How difficult or time-consuming is the plan? Will the diet require you to do something that you won't succeed at?
• Cost. Does the diet involve a one-time charge, food costs, or monthly fees? Can you actually save money by going on the diet?
TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best rapid weight loss diets available today. We hope you find these reviews helpful in losing your unwanted weight - fast!

Medifast received the highest ranking of all the rapid weight loss diet plans. We were impressed with the speedy rate of weight loss, convenience of the prepackaged meals, and the diet support provided by the company. This diet is prescribed by physicians and provides all of the essential daily nutrients.
The company boasts average losses of up to 20 pounds in one month, without the hunger. What you may not know is that Medifast has been around for over 25 years, has been used by over a million dieters, and is often recommended by doctors. Medifast works by allowing the dieter to choose five prepackaged, convenient products per day, and one meal of their own consisting of lean meat or poultry,
and vegetables.
The five prepackaged choices
include shakes, soup, pudding, bars, drinks, oatmeal, chili, and so on. Medifast meal replacement foods are clinically proven and designed for safe rapid weight loss with all the daily nutrients required to remain healthy and energetic.
We'll also point out the usefulness of the Medifast interactive website, which provides tips for holiday success, daily food charts, and information for diabetics. This online support group allows dieters to ask questions of the experts and their peers, and to share success stories. The plan specifically takes you through the maintenance phase to ensure that the body is prepared for increased calories,
and
to allow for long-term success.
At first, the cost of the program may seem high. But since the plan includes prepackaged meals that are delivered to your door, we found that you actually save money when compared with the cost of other weight loss plans. Plus, you save time in not needing to prepare as many meals throughout the day.
If you are looking for an easy program, find frequent smaller meals acceptable, and don't have the patience or time for a slower weight loss regimen, then Medifast is an excellent choice. This program earns our highest ranking.

Wonderslim, from the owners of Diet Direct.com, receives a high score from us for convenience and effectiveness. Similar to Medifast, this rapid weight loss diet involves a meal replacement strategy. Dieters may choose from 5 meal replacement food choices per day. These include a selection of shakes, puddings, soups, hot or cold drinks, and sloppy joes all ordered through the website or via phone and directly
shipped to you. Similar
to Medifast, dieters may also dine on one healthy meal a day; which includes a serving of lean meat, starch and a salad/vegetables. Dieters are supplied a grocery shopping list to help teach proper food choices and portion size. However, unlike Medifast, dieters may also select a serving of fruit each day.
Statistics say that customers may count on a 2-5 pound weight loss average per week. They claim that by eating small meals every 2-3 hours the dieter is never left feeling hungry. Diet Direct also offers a customized option to speed up results. What does that mean? Customers may elect a "liquid only" diet, which involves consuming 6 shakes a day and forfeiting any meal options.
Our research shows that Wonderslim offers fewer meal replacement selections compared to some competitors (such as Medifast). We also had a tough time confirming the length of time in which this diet plan had effectively been utilized. We were encouraged that the company offers a 100% money back guarantee and that the food is manufactured in facilities following FDA guidelines, within the United States.
If
you find small and frequent
meals acceptable, and are satisfied with the food selection choices offered by Wonderslim, this plan might be right for you.

While Fat Loss for Idiots has a fun website, we were less impressed with the actual plan. As the name implies, Fat Loss for Idiots is simple, yes - but too simple.
Let's point out the positive characteristics of this plan first. The on-line diet plan is touted as simplistic in nature - hence the name, "Fat Loss for Idiots". You can literally learn the diet plan in a startling 15 minutes. Another positive to the plan is that the diet information is found on-line and meal plans may be generated for ease in grocery shopping and meal selection. However, while
the on-line plan clearly defines the diet
and assists in food choice no support is available if you have questions about the plan.
How does it work? Essentially, the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet involves eating 4 meals each day made up of lean proteins, vegetables and fruits. Oats and pasta are some of the carb options, but meals should be eaten at a minimum of 2 1/2 hours apart. There is no counting of any sort including carbs, weight, or calories. The tricky part is to stop eating prior to being full. Do you know how to do that? We don't.
Interestingly, after the 11-day meal plan there is a 3-day period of eating whatever you want. With no limitations on portions, calories, and origin - literally whatever you want. After the potential 3 day binge you're back on the 11 day diet plan again. We ask, is that realistic? Does a dieter really learn portion control and healthy eating when they are allowed to gorge with no discretion?
How much will you lose? Fat Loss for Idiots dieters may anticipate an average 9-pound loss within the first 11-day diet cycle. Generally speaking, the food options seem well balanced and, as already stated, very simple to follow. However, long term success and maintenance does not seem to be the focus of this plan. The aim of this diet is to lose weight, fast and simple.
While Fat Loss 4 Idiots may be effective if you have a high school reunion in 2 weeks, are you really getting your money's worth in the end? We think the top-rated selections in our review do a better job addressing your rapid weight loss needs now and in the future.

Weight Loss by the Numbers is the used car salesman of diet plans (no offense to you fine people that make living selling gently used vehicles). The facts are, Weight Loss by the Numbers promises the world such as better health, greater self esteem, less medication requirements, an astounding potential for a 28 pounds loss in 3 short weeks, and never having to worry about a serious weight problem again. Overall
the tone is similar to that of
a really bad infomercial at 3:00 in the morning. We had a tough time getting past promises of spiritual "freedom" within this ebook to get to the facts.
The writer, an individual personally knowledgeable with years of weight loss struggles, created this pill-free rapid weight loss diet plan. The diet was formed based on his research and own testament of what worked for him. Although he is convinced that this plan will work for 95% of the population, there is no clinical evidence to support that claim. The writer is neither a doctor nor a dietician.
The plan is easy, almost common sense-like and offers a money back guarantee.
If you're looking for a gigantic sales pitch of promise after promise, this might be the right plan for you. We prefer a plan derived by experts and supported by independent verification. Leaving the high-pressure sales pitch at the door, this plan unfortunately earns its low marks.

The Negative Calorie diet is appealing if only science could back-up the concept. While this diet is not widely known, the name identifies the general target of the plan. By eating certain foods you'll lose weight to the tune of up to 2 pounds per day. But, in doing so, you must be a dedicated vegetarian, maintain the integrity of the foods within their natural state, and avoid all meats and fats. As a result
of the lack of
clinical supportive data and incredible restrictiveness, we're forced to give this diet our lowest ranking.
If the information above wasn't enough to convince you, we found that this diet works on the premise that certain foods require our bodies to burn more energy than their calorie value. In a nutshell, the diet ultimately suggests you could eat, via multiple meals a day, your way to weight loss. While that sounds very appealing, our research shows that nothing out there scientifically proves this idea. In addition,
the rate at which
one burns calories is dependant on a person's metabolism, which varies dramatically from one individual to another.
One of the goals of the Negative Calorie diet is to increase your metabolism by eating vitamin and mineral rich foods. These foods increase enzyme production that eventually breaks down the food eaten. But we ask, who can (or wants to) eat large quantities of papaya, watermelon, pineapple, asparagus, chili peppers, broccoli, cucumber, among others, in their natural state - void of cooking or seasoning - on
a day-to-day basis until eventually
reaching one's weight loss goal?
Overall, in our opinion this diet is neither healthy nor reasonable. You would be better off looking elsewhere for realistic rapid weight loss needs.
