If you are an avid sportsman, you know that the right pair of polarized sunglasses can make your game on any given day. For those more concerned with fashion, sunglasses are a mandatory accessory. Many people collect sunglasses by the dozens in order to carefully coordinate every outfit when they hit the town.

For those not concerned with sports or fashion, sunglasses serve a functional use to protect our eyes and allow you to enjoy a nice sunny day. Whether you're driven by sports, fashion, or function, finding the right pair of sunglasses is important.

Best Buy Eyeglasses

BEST BUY EYEGLASSES Visit Site

Cost:

From $45 to $600

TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award This site is fantastic because it offers designer sunglasses for much less than retail price. In addition to sunglasses from a wide variety of designers, Best Buy Eyeglasses also offers traditional eyeglasses, prescription sunglasses, and more - in fact, they have over 30,000 eyewear products to choose from.

Best Buy Eyeglasses carries the full line of the world's most popular sunglass brands like Gucci, Versace, Ray Ban, and over 300 others. They follow celebrity and fashion trends closely to stay ahead of the curve, and are among the first to sell the hottest new frames.

Finding what you're looking for at Best Buy Eyeglasses is a breeze. The website is very easy to get around. You can browse sunglasses by popularity, brand, or price. With each pair of sunglasses you see the list price, along with the Best Buy Eyeglasses discounted price. It's common to find discounts of 40-60% or more, making even the most expensive sunglasses very affordable.

Another feature we really liked about Best Buy Eyeglasses is their user reviews . That's right - you get to see what other people thought of their sunglasses after they purchased them. We found it very helpful to read about real user experiences - which models receive rave reviews, as opposed to others that are reported to be fragile and break easily. You won't get that kind of information from the manufacturer!

Best Buy Eyeglasses has a very clear-cut and easy return policy. Sunglass and eyeglass frames may be exchanged within 30 days of the shipping date, as a one-time exchange service. If the lenses are prescription they cannot be fully exchanged (since they were custom-made), but a 50% credit can be applied to the original cost.

Overall, Best Buy Eyeglasses is extremely easy to navigate and actually quite enjoyable to shop at. They offer unbeatable prices on a huge selection of sunglasses and provide a customer-friendly return policy. This is a wonderful site to shop for quality sunglasses at a very affordable price, and they earn our highest rating.

Eye Save Sunglasses

EYE SAVE SUNGLASSES Visit Site

Cost:

From $50 to $500

This site makes shopping for sunglasses simple with different categories to shop by including: men's styles, women's styles, general style's, brand, color, and price. In addition to sunglasses, Eye Save Sunglasses also sells prescription eyeglasses in stylish designer frames.

Outside of a huge selection, Eye Save is geared to assist the customer. One feature we were particularly fond of is the Tip Center. After selecting this option, you are provided with helpful tips to picking the best style and fit for you and your lifestyle. It lists common things you hear in reference to sunglasses, like what celebrities are wearing, certain brands, and tells you why they are so popular. This is extremely helpful for those who want to have the hottest look and be well informed about what they are buying and why it would benefit them. We cannot rave enough about this feature and its helpfulness!

The return policy for Eye save Sunglasses is quite simple. This company offers free shipping on domestic returns within 30 days of purchase. All returns are subjected to an inspection to ensure that the items are unused. If they are in fact unused, Eye save will credit your account within 10-14 days. You can either be credited to the store or your credit card. However, with purchases totaling over $500, there will be a 15% restocking fee.

Overall, this site is helpful in choosing both stylish and affordable sunglasses. With valuable tips like which brands are most popular, determining the best fit for your face shape, and suggested options like polarization, Eye save can help match you with a good pair of sunglasses you'll be happy with.

Frames Direct

FRAMES DIRECT Visit Site

Cost:

From $50 to $500

Frames Direct is definitely targeted at people who need prescription lenses in either sunglasses or eyeglasses. The customer service is fantastic and the site makes online sunglass shopping as easy as it can be.

The prices may present sticker shock for some but it's the result of providing quality, designer brands only. Our favorite feature of this site is the Frame Finder. The site has a feature that allows the customer to upload a picture of him or herself and virtually try on any pair of sunglasses or eyeglasses they wish. Once the picture is uploaded, you can choose the size of frame that you think will fit your face best, then try on by brand, style, or shape. This feature is extremely helpful and ingenious for online shopping.

The return policy is fairly straight-forward and a bit strict. They only offer exchanges within 30 days of the date of purchase. Prescription lenses cannot be refunded, but can be returned for 50% of the original price. Also, non-defective products will incur a 20% restocking fee.

Overall, this is a wonderful site for online sunglass shopping. Frames Direct makes it easy to shop with the Frame Finder functionality. This is a fantastic idea and very helpful when searching for the perfect pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses.

United Shades

UNITED SHADES Visit Site

Cost:

From $60 to $350

United Shades offers a huge variety of designer glasses for a portion of the retail price. The site is extremely well organized. We especially like how they categorize not only by gender and style, but also by price, size, and frame shape. The prices are slightly higher but certainly lower than retail prices you will find at many chain stores.

This site is very helpful for those who know what they are looking for in a pair of quality sunglasses that will last a lifetime. Also, it is helpful to those who know one characteristic they are looking for in a pair of glasses, but not necessarily all characteristics they desire.

In addition to a great selection, they return policy is simple and pretty great. All items can be returned within 30 days under three conditions: they must be in perfect condition, which entails no scratches on either the lenses or the frames, they must be returned prior to the 30th day after shipping, and they must be returned via Registered Air Mail or by Federal Express. Also, there is a 7.5% restocking fee for orders that were placed during the free shipping promotion.

This site is very easy and pleasant to shop on because of its excellent organization and huge selection. We highly recommend it, especially to those who are familiar with the world of sunglasses and know what they are looking for.

Sunglass Hut

SUNGLASS HUT Visit Site

Cost:

From $45 to $715

The Sunglass Hut is a huge chain across the nation which offers a great selection of designer glasses but you can also anticipate paying designer prices at this site.

The website makes it easy to navigate the sunglass selection. They have their selection conveniently categorized by men's styles, women's styles, brands, color, etc. One of the features we found most useful is the under $100 deals and the sorting by price. You can sort from least expensive to most expensive or vice versa.

They offer full refunds or exchanges within 90 days of the purchase, only with proof of purchase provided. They prefer that these are done in a store near you, with over 1,600 locations nationwide. However it can also be done via free UPS return services.

All online returns are handled through the Customer Care Center. In addition to returns and exchanges, they offer a sunglass replacement discount which lasts from 91 days to 12 months. Through this program, you can replace your broken pair of sunglasses for 50% of the retail price with the same or equivalent pair. Proof of purchase is also required for this, and this offer does not apply to Oakley products.

This is definitely a good site for those who know what they are looking for. Also, it is very easy to shop casually on if you are willing to spend over $50 for a quality pair of sunglasses. It does not offer much in the way of discount sunglasses. The sunglasses on this site are all designer brands and are meant to last, and the prices certainly reflect that.

Oakley

OAKLEY Visit Site

Cost:

From $70 to $600

This is a very well-organized website that is pleasant to navigate but may only appeal to a small segment of shoppers. Oakley sells very nice, reliable sunglasses for those who love to be active. However, it does not sell many every-day type of products.

The variety offered on the website is somewhat lacking. If you are someone who loves being active and being outdoors, Oakley is a great brand for you. However,if you are simply looking for a pair of sunglasses to wear walking around town or to the beach or pool, this site might not be your number one choice.

They have a good return policy and the products are very durable and nice, but they are just not for everyone. All Oakley eyewear is under warranty for one year from the date of purchase.

This site is perfect for those of you who love the Oakley brand and know that these are what you are looking for. In addition to full sunglasses, with the frames and lenses combined, they sell them separately too. This means that if you are a huge fan of Oakley sunglasses and have a great frame but the lenses are a little too scratched, you can order only the lenses and voila! Problem solved.

This site is very specific and definitely appeals to a limited segment of shoppers. We recommend you shop a higher ranked sunglass store that caters to a wider crowd in selection and price.

Continued from above

Outside of Florida and California, however, you may find it difficult to find and purchase sunglasses during several months of the year. Unless you are willing to pay a premium at a specialty store, finding the right pair of sunglasses can be a challenge.

Thankfully, online sunglass stores can offer an impressive selection and allow you to quickly compare prices between brands and stores. However, before you buy the first pair of sunglasses that you come across, consider these important aspects of online shopping:

  • Selection. Does the company offer a variety of quality sunglasses to meet your needs?
  • Ease of Ordering. Does the company enable you to easily find what you want online? Can you easily and reliably purchase your chosen pair of sunglasses?
  • Return Policy. If you don't like the sunglasses once they arrive, will you be able to return them for a full refund?
  • Prices. How do the prices from each sunglasses store compare with their competition?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best sunglasses stores available today. We hope these reviews help you find your next pair of sunglasses right away!
