WHOLESALE DROPSHIPPERS

Have you decided to enter the fast-paced world of e-commerce? Are you looking to buy and sell goods on the Internet? If so, there are a number of dropshipping services that can help you reach your goals and achieve financial freedom.

Dropshipping is a supply chain management technique in which retailers (you) do not keep merchandise in stock. Instead, the retailers (you) forward customer orders to wholesalers who then ship the goods directly to the customer. Profits are made on the difference between the wholesale and retail prices.

The benefits of dropshipping are numerous. A retailer that uses dropshipping does not have to purchase up-front inventory. In this way, retailers do not have to pay for storage space, nor are they left holding items that they are unable to sell. Additionally, dropshipping reduces the number of employees needed to run a business. Retailers do not have to hire individuals to package and ship items, nor do they have to hire individuals to maintain their inventory.

Because you rely on wholesalers to provide your products, it is important to find a dropshipping service that uses reputable manufacturers. Additionally, the products offered by the dropshipping service need to be compatible with your business goals.

When looking at different dropshipping services, there are certain factors you need to consider. Some of these include:

•  Products. Does the company offer a wide selection of merchandise from reputable manufacturers? Can you browse their products before agreeing to use their service?

•  Value. Does the company charge a reasonable fee for the services they offer?

•  Ease of Use. Is the website clear and easy to navigate?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Wholesale Dropshippers available today. We hope you find these reviews helpful in determining which dropshipping service is right for you!

World Wide Brands is a top-notch website for the individual that is interested in buying and selling goods on the Internet. •  Become a Member

•  Free Preview

•  Free Stuff (including articles, alerts, free e-books, and more)

•  About Us

The Product Sourcing Membership (priced at a one-time fee of $299) provides a product search for its members, scouring over 6 million products that you can sell online. Their database includes over 7,000 reputable wholesale suppliers, each of which has been researched by World Wide Brands and found to be a credible resource. Their instant market research tells you how well a product is selling, how many hits have been received for the product, and how many competitors are selling the item. This information is extremely valuable in determining whether you also want to sell the product.

World Wide Brands also offers an "eBiz Education" option as well. Bundled with the Product Sourcing Membership, it's cost is only $99 initially and 3 monthly installments of $133. This gives you access to 19 excellent video courses covering eBusiness and product sourcing, plus 19 online workbooks to go along with each video course, as well as additional resources. This is very good information to have if you're just starting out in the wholesale dropshipping area.

The following video describes how Andy Jenkins successfully used World Wide Brands to build 17 online companies on his way to financial freedom.

In a sign of their superior customer service, World Wide Brands offers a money-back satisfaction guarantee with no strings attached. The website is a member of the Better Business Bureau and knowledgeable customer service representatives can be contacted by e-mail, phone, or mail.

World Wide Brands is a fantastic website that leads the marketplace with a competitive product and price. For all of these reasons, they have earned our highest rating.

DOBA

DOBA

4.5 Stars

Cost:

$49.95 - $149.95 Monthly Membership Fee

Ranked as the 23rd fastest growing privately held business in the nation, DOBA has a clean and hip website that can help you find products to sell with little to no hassle. DOBA has access to over 75 manufacturers and over 1,200,000 products.

DOBA offers two types of memberships. They have a Start-Up Membership, for those new to selling online, which runs $49.95 a month. They also have an Advanced Membership for the active online retailer, which is $59.95 a month. Both memberships include access to over 1,000,000 products, push to marketplace tools, and eBay and e-commerce training. The Advanced Membership goes one step further with a custom product export option and advanced training.

There is also a "secret" Pro Monthly membership that is offered for $149.95 a month. The Pro Monthly membership offers batch order uploading, supplier access, and custom data exporting. However, you can only find this membership after some digging around on the website. Regardless of the membership type you choose, the website offers a free, seven day, trial membership.

If you require additional information, customer service can be reached by phone and live chat. Additionally, free articles and news links are easy to find and access from the home page. Possibly the best feature on the website is the extensive and highly organized "Browse Product" link.

Although priced higher than other websites reviewed, DOBA is a tremendous resource that earns strong ratings in our review.

Shopster

SHOPSTER

4 Stars

Cost:

$329.99 Annual Fee

Shopster is a dropshipping website that offers a complete range of products for use in Internet store fronts. This website is simple to navigate and takes the time to answer the most basic questions related to the phenomenon of dropshipping.

Shopster provides over 900,000 products for use in dropshipping and is available from numerous retailers. One great feature of this website is the ability to browse the inventory. Plus, Internet retailers can rest assured knowing that Shopster's software is eBay compatible and offers a fraud protection program that evaluates the reliability of customer orders. Shopster also offers training resources such as guides, online chats, webinars, and templates to enable you to create an online store with a personalized domain.

Membership costs $29.95 a month with a $99 setup fee. Annual Memberships are also available at the discounted rate of $329.99 (vs. $359),and the $99 set up fee is waived. A free trial membership is offered for one week. The trial membership has to be secured with a credit card, which is charged if the membership is not canceled within the one week time frame.

A member of the Better Business Bureau's Online Reliability program, Shopster provides a wealth of information and services at a competitive price (if the annual membership is purchased). Therefore, it might be your dropshipping choice. However, if you are looking for additional products and support, you might choose one of the highest-rated selections.

Dropshipped Direct

DROPSHIPPED DIRECT

3 Stars

Cost:

$29.95 Annual Fee

Dropshipped direct is a clean, appealing website. Simple in nature, this website does not have a lot of bells and whistles. The home page is divided into three columns:

•  Product Categories

•  Features and Product Samples

•  Educational Forums and Support Functions

That's it. Dropshipped Direct carries over 150,000 products, and Dropshipped Direct's members are able to buy these products without having to go through a middleman. Products are shipped to customers as if they came directly from your place of business. However, the product offerings are not as plentiful as the other websites we reviewed, and they seem to fall in a bit more of a niche market. For example "Sculptural Museum Reproductions" and "Medieval Novelties" are a few of the products listed.

The membership process is just as simple as the home page, with a minimal startup fee of only $29.95 per year. There are currently no specials or bonuses being offered. Neither a money back guarantee nor a trial offer were mentioned. Customer support is available Monday - Friday by phone. Support tickets, the "fastest way to get an answer quickly," are available 24/7.

This website is clearly not as impressive as the other websites we reviewed.

National Dropship

NATIONAL DROPSHIP

2.5 Stars

Cost:

$95 Lifetime Membership

With informative tabs across the top of the home page, National Dropship's website is very easy to navigate. National Dropship has all the tools necessary for putting together a dropship website; and, depending on the package you choose, they will set up your website for you.

National Dropship has a "mall" approach and layout format. They allow you access to all the products they offer (with descriptions and prices) before you purchase a membership. In this way, you know exactly what you're getting. There is a 30% commission on products sold from your mall, versus the 5-25% other sites offer.

Membership to the website is sold in three mall packages, which all include a 10-day, money back guarantee:

•  Silver Mall - $95 for a lifetime membership. This fee is for a turnkey business with a pre-designed mall. Commissions are paid monthly.

•  Gold Mall - $289 for a two year plan. The Gold Mall website can be customized with personal logos, names, and title pages.

•  Platinum Mall- $489 for two years. The fee includes 1,500 web pages, and the website is updated with current products and features.

Support is offered through an online form, phone, or mail. However, National Dropship fails to offer online tutorials, videos, articles and e-books like their competitors. Adding these features, along with a few more bells and whistles, would allow them to be as competitive in this market as the higher-rated services.

Operation Dropship

OPERATION DROPSHIP

2 Stars

Cost:

$39.95 Per Monthly Membership Fee

Operation Dropship is an immaculate website that is extremely user friendly. The home page cuts right to the point with a "What to Expect" information guide. Operation Dropship boasts over 150,000 unique products with full product descriptions, images, and pricing. However, a browsing function was not given at the non-member level. Being able to view the products should be mandatory for these types of websites. Therefore, we recommend using one of the higher-rated services.

The best feature of this website is the "Quick Tour." It is very informative and builds excitement for their service. The downside is you have no idea of the cost associated with the service without signing up for the 30-day, free trial. After looking through the FAQ's section, we were still unable to find a price for their service. However, many common questions are answered on this page. A quick phone call to customer service answered the fee question: "I think it is $39.95 a month." When asked about any other fees, the representative responded with "There shouldn't be." They are certainly not banging out a whole lot of confidence with answers like that! Operation Dropship does offer a "cancel at any time" option if not completely satisfied, but there is no mention of a money-back guarantee.

Operation Dropship's lack of price commitment and poor customer service knowledge forced us to give it a lower rating. For a website with so much promise, this is quite a shame.

Simplx

SIMPLX

1.5 Stars

Cost:

$20 for an application fee

$100 up-front plus $35/month for "Club Dropship"

$3,500 for full membership into Simplx

Simplx claims to be a serious website for "the next generation in dropshipping." The website is well laid out with a lot of useful information, and the company is affiliated with over 1,800 suppliers. However, our research has uncovered some very deceptive business practices by Simplx.

First, Simplx is not a wholesale dropshipper. Instead, Simplx is a "middleman" company that connects you with real wholesalers. They take a percentage of every sale that you make, thereby increasing your costs. This means that other individuals or companies, that have direct relationships with the wholesalers, can undercut your price.

Next, products are not shipped to the customer with your business name. Instead, the invoice and advertising in the package they receive references the retailer you purchased the product from, and has nothing to do with your business. This directly impacts repeat customers and your business reputation.

Third, Simplx is not up-front about their pricing. After they accept your $20 application fee, they offer you membership in "Club Dropship" for approximately $100 up-front and $35/month thereafter (pricing varies somewhat). However they will strongly try to get you to purchase full membership into Simplx which involves a non-refundable up-front payment of $3,500. They have resorted to various strong-arm tactics to convince individuals to pay this hefty fee. Some of these include questioning your commitment to the endeavor, accusing you of wasting their time, and other rude behavior.

Finally, Simplx has no refund policy or customer satisfaction guarantee whatsoever. In fact, there are many complaints lodged with the Better Business Bureau about this company and their steadfast refusal to address many complaints.

Having said this, if you work extremely hard, you can be successful with Simplx. They do show you how to identify products with large commissions from the suppliers in their network. Their website is inviting and has a video describing the service. The website offers a turnkey business for eBay or any e-commerce website, and advertises the world's largest product access with over 60 million items.

While some individuals can manage to be successful with Simplx, we feel their business practices are deceptive at best and can actually make it more difficult for you to be successful. We strongly suggest you look to another resource to find a reputable wholesale dropshipper.

Getestore

GETESTORE

1 Star

Cost:

$49 Annual Fee

Getestore is a website that provides everything that is needed to start an online retail store. However, the website is very primitive in appearance, and the pages contain significant vacant space.

The downside of Getestore's website is that it does not clearly define the services they offer nor the retailers and types of product offered. This is a significant disadvantage for Getestore since their competitors' websites disclose this information in full. The website does offer a sample store, but it is also very vague and elementary in design. A few benefits of membership outlined on the website include over 3,500 great items (vs. millions on other sites), an eBay "helper," daily product updates, and a price markup tool.

The website is inexpensive to join. The membership fee is a mere $49 a year plus a $20 setup fee. The site currently has a $100 special toward online promotions and a free domain name for your store. However, this promotion ends "6/15/07"!!

Additionally, there is no mention of the Better Business Bureau or any type of fraud protection. Customer support is only offered through e-mail and a mailing address. There is no phone number listed or live chat provided.

Given that the website probably has not been updated since early 2007, the limited amount of products offered, and the elementary nature of the website, we recommend that you use one of the higher-rated selections.
