Where can you find the best Air Hockey Tables? If you're looking for the entertainment of an arcade with the convenience of home in your recroom, an air hockey table is a great choice for fun times with family and friends. However, many stores don't carry a large supply of air hockey tables for you to choose from.

One big reason for this is that air hockey tables take up a lot of floor space when they're displayed. Traditional stores would rather fill their aisles with racks of merchandise that you could buy off the shelf. That's one reason why many people have turned to the internet when buying their air hockey table. Of course, another reason is that you can save a lot of money by shopping online!

If you're shopping for anything for your home, chances are good that Overstock carries it. Since 1999, this online-only retailer has been recognized as one of the most trusted stores on the internet, especially when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Overstock carries around 5 dozen air hockey tables in their inventory of Table Games; be aware that on their Air Hockey Tables page, you'll also find Stick Hockey (sometimes referred to as "Foosball") models as well. At the bottom of the price range, you'll find the Airzone Play 40" Tabletop model for $50; on the upper end of the spectrum, Overstock carries a 2-in-1 Billiards/Air Hockey table for just over $1800.

You'll have no problem navigating the Overstock site to find the air hockey table that's right for you. Sort through all of the models they carry using the dropdown box in the upper right corner, or use the filter options - Price, Sales & Promotions, Brand, Materials, or Customer Ratings - on the left side of the page to further narrow down your results.

Once you've chosen a table that interests you, you'll see detailed information on the individual product page: an in-depth description, exact dimensions, even specifics on the manufacturer warranty.

Overstock gives you lots of chances to save money. When you first visit the site, you'll probably see a Spin to Win pop-up offering free shipping and discounts of 5 to 10 percent on your purchase. Plus, after we entered our email address for that promotion, we regularly got discount codes in our inbox, ranging from 10 to 40%. And, most of the times we've visited Overstock, we've spotted deals at the top of the page; at our most recent visit, there were discounts up to 70% off and free shipping on eligible items. Of course, Overstock's regular policy of free shipping on orders of $49+ covers all of their air hockey tables, even the oversized models.

Also, you should consider Overstock's Club O membership, especially on a big-ticket item like an air hockey table. The club costs $19.95/year after a free 30-day trial, and earns you 5% back in Overstock Rewards to be used on future purchases. This membership quickly pays for itself: for example, if you buy an air hockey table for $1400, your rewards are $70.

Overstock's return policy gives you 30 days to initiate a return, and items must be received by their processing facility within 45 days of delivery. Your air hockey table has to be in new, unused condition to be eligible for a refund. Overstock doesn't charge any restocking fees on returns, but you're responsible for the return shipping costs. If you're buying an air hockey table during the holiday shopping season (November 1 through December 31), your return period is extended through January 31.

Overstock has a great reputation for customer service, and their air hockey table selection is good. Plus, all of their money-saving perks mean that you can probably equip your rec room at a price you'll love. Overstock is one of our top picks when shopping for an air hockey table.

DAZADI

With a name like Dazadi, this company might make you curious about their backstory. Pronounced like "DAZZ-uh-dee", the word comes from a mixture of "audacity" and "Tzadik" - a Hebrew word that means a person who always chooses to do right - because this family-owned business aims to help friends and families spend quality time together that makes memories and brings them joy.

You'll definitely sense that in what they sell: hand-picked products for playing together outdoors, exercising together, playing games, or even swimming. Everything Dazadi has in stock ships for free, regardless of size, too.

While Dazadi has a wide selection of games and other activities for your rec room, the number of air hockey tables is limited: just 11 to choose from at the time of our most recent review. These ranged from a $54.99 tabletop model by Harvil to a Fat Cat 3-in-1 Air Hockey/Billiards/Table Tennis style selling for just under $1000. In fact, four out of the 11 options are just color variations on that Fat Cat style - so really, you only have 8 air hockey tables to consider at Dazadi.

Pricing is competitive: although Dazadi doesn't offer a price match or low price guarantee, the tables they carry are usually the same as or a little cheaper than other retailers.

The return policy is good: return your air hockey table or other purchase in the same condition it arrived (new, resaleable) for a refund within 30 days of delivery. Dazadi will send you a prepaid return label and deduct the cost of shipping from your refund - but they give you their volume discounted shipping rate, which is a nice gesture that many retailers don't offer.

We like the idea behind the Dazadi brand and appreciate their commitment to their customers, including perks like free shipping on all purchases. But, with a limited selection of air hockey tables, this retailer is still a little behind the stores that carry hundreds of models to choose from.

Continued from above

For those who don't know, air hockey is played by trying to hit a puck into the goal on the opposite side of a table using a handheld paddle (also known as a striker, mallet, or goalie). The table is typically smooth so that the puck slides freely; higher-end models use ventilation on the table's surface, so that the puck actually floats just above the table itself.

Players use the paddles to knock the puck across the table and into the goal slots on the other side; rails on the sides of the air hockey table keep the puck from sliding onto the floor. As a recreational sport, air hockey has been around since the late 1960s when a team of engineers at Brunswick - Bob Kenrick, Phil Crossman, and Brad Baldwin - tried to invent a new game on a frictionless surface.

Although it wasn't an instant hit, the project was taken up again by Bob Lemieux a few years later, leading to air hockey's popularity as a tournament sport from the mid-1970s onward. Today, you'll find serious competition with air hockey players based in Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Maryland, Houston, Denver, Sacramento, and New York - and even across the globe in Russia, the Czech Republic, and Spain.

When deciding where to buy an air hockey table, there are a number of factors to keep in mind as you consider the numerous online retailers that sell them. Some of those criteria are:

  • Selection/Availability. How many types of air hockey tables does the store carry? Is their inventory typically in stock, or do they sell out at high-volume shopping times like the holidays?
  • Price. Are the air hockey tables competitively priced? Are there any budget-friendly perks like free shipping or discounts when signing up for an email newsletter?
  • Return Policy. If the air hockey table doesn't meet your expectations, can you return it? If so, how many days do you have to send it back? Will you be charged a restocking fee?
  • Reputation. Does the retailer have a good track record of customer satisfaction? Are they rated by the Better Business Bureau? Does the company specialize in air hockey tables and other rec room equipment like ping-pong or foosball tables?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best air hockey table stores available today. We hope this information helps you find the perfect air hockey table for your game room today!
