JC Whitney has been around since 1915 making it the oldest and one of the largest catalog and Internet direct-to-consumer auto parts and accessories retailer. They carry a large assortment of brand name, guaranteed-to-fit items for virtually every car, truck and motorcycle from the latest model year back to the 1920's. With over 1.2 million auto parts custom fit for over 25 million different vehicles, and over 100,000 accessories for over 6 million different vehicles, JC Whitney has the part to cover your auto need. These include a full range of performance, restoration and replacement auto parts for all the do-it-yourselfers.

With their lowest-price guarantee, JC Whitney will match any competitor's price and ships your in-stock product within 24-hours. JC Whitney believes so much in the auto parts and accessories they sell, that they offer a one-year guarantee that is unmatched in the business. If for any reason you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, just return it for an exchange or refund. More than 6 million auto parts and accessories are covered under their one-year guarantee, and there are no restocking fees at JC Whitney, which is rare compared to most other competitors. There are a few exceptions to this guarantee, so make sure you check out the details before placing your order.

Free shipping on specific orders is offered at different times. Right now free shipping is offered on all orders over $75 but this offer will fluctuate. Check the website for promotions as the time of your order. Otherwise, shipping is based on the cost of your order.

The website for JC Whitney is well laid out, making it easy to find what you are looking for. If for some reason you are having difficulty finding your item, don't hesitate to call or chat online with a customer service representative who will help you locate the item you are looking for. Unfortunately, we had to talk to a few different individuals before we had our question answered.

STREETSIDE AUTO

Street Side Auto has an expert staff and management team that represent years of experience in the specialty automotive aftermarket. This team has relationships with some manufacturers that go back as far as 30 years. These relationships and experience give the consumer the security of knowing they are dealing with real hands-on all-American automotive enthusiasts, who have the answers the consumer needs to help them select the right product for their needs.

Initially the website has an orderly appearance with sharp colors and layout. But the search capabilities left us frustrated. The page that lists the products does not list the prices. To find the prices the consumer must click through to multiple other pages. A very annoying feature that this website has is that every time the consumer clicks on an item to receive more information, a pop-up screen shows up that has the consumer input information about the make, model, etc. of the vehicle that you are looking for the part for to be verified by the consumer. Just to find out the price on a product you must click through many screens, as the pop-up window appears each time you navigate to a different page. This was time consuming and would prevent many from purchasing from this website, as there are many other great options available through other websites reviewed.

Free ground shipping is offered for orders over $50. If the order is deemed an oversized item, free shipping does not apply and a $99 flat rate is assessed to the order, no matter how large the shipment is. If a tire is ordered, a $25 fee per tire is assessed for shipping with the maximum fee of $99. Auto parts may be returned up to 60-days from date of purchase. All items must in original condition to be returned and will be assessed a $10 restocking fee. There are a few products that are not returnable, please check out the website for the extensive list of products. Most auto parts are warranted by the manufacturer, usually for 90 days from the date of purchase, unless specified otherwise.

Unfortunately, this poorly built website takes away from any positives in return policy or selection. We believe that most would be too frustrated to complete their purchase.

Before you purchase your next auto parts online, it's important to consider several factors:

  • Selection.  Does the company offer the auto parts that you're looking for? Do they supply auto parts from several manufactures, or only one?
  • Return Policy.  If you buy the wrong auto parts, or they don't fit, will you be able to return the auto parts and get your money back?
  • Price.  How do the prices of the auto parts compare between competitors?
