Parts Train

PARTS TRAIN Visit Site

Parts Train has over 1 million products in stock to meet your car needs. Whether you need a new oil filter, an alternator, new brake pads, fuel injector, or engine parts, Parts Train has what you need. Most every basic and performance car product that a consumer would need can be found here. The auto parts offered are not limited to certain makes; they have wide range including Jaguar, Lexus, BMW, Ford, Chevy, Porsche, Volvo and many more.

Free shipping is offered for orders over $50. Most orders ship within 24 to 48 hours and are delivered ground, so the consumer will receive them within 2 to 7 business days, which is pretty standard for most websites reviewed. Parts Train stands behind their prices in that they have a Lowest Price Guarantee. If you find a competitor advertising the exact product cheaper there is an online form for you to fill out and they will match or beat the competitors pricing.

There is a 30-day return policy from date of purchase but you will be charged a 20% restocking fee for the product returned. There are a few items that are non-returnable, including service manuals, CD ROMs, special-order products, custom-made products, and auto body parts.

The website is well organized and easy to find what you are looking for. There are a few different ways to search for the product you need, either choosing a keyword or part number search, or searching by your specific vehicle's make, model and year.

We liked the search capabilities and return policy but were less excited about the restocking fee.

OE Parts HQ

OE PARTS HQ Visit Site

OE Parts specializes in OEM (Original Equipment) auto parts for GM and Ford vehicles that are the same quality that a car dealership or a factory trained independent service center would use nationwide. These auto parts used to only be available through high priced source, but OE Parts has made the auto parts more affordable at wholesale prices and quickly available being shipped right to your door. They specialize in GM models such as Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Saturn and Ford vehicles from Ford, Mercury and Lincoln. They carry The Genuine AC Delco / AC Delco, and Genuine Motorcraft Parts.

Any order over $75 qualifies for free shipping and a flat shipping fee of $6.99 for orders under $75. With 32 OEM warehouses coast to coast, delivery time is usually 2 business days or less for in stock products. There is a 30-day return policy for any unused, unmarked, unopened products. You must contact the company for an RMA approval. The website appearance is decent at best. An average look that doesn't catch your eye but isn't too busy either.

In our original search for brake pads for a 1997 3.2 TL Acura the search results said they did not carry brake pads for products other than GM vehicles. As we navigated through the site, we stumbled upon another area that did carry a Brake Disc Hardware kit that would meet our needs. This left us less confident in OE Parts HQ's website.

Due to the poor searching abilities, the website appearance and the significantly higher prices part (almost $50 more expensive than the same exact product at another store) this site received the lowest rating overall.

Before you purchase your next auto parts online, it's important to consider several factors:

  • Selection.  Does the company offer the auto parts that you're looking for? Do they supply auto parts from several manufactures, or only one?
  • Return Policy.  If you buy the wrong auto parts, or they don't fit, will you be able to return the auto parts and get your money back?
  • Price.  How do the prices of the auto parts compare between competitors?
