Today, a number of online auto parts stores make a concerted effort of getting the best, most cost effective auto parts in your hands, in as short a time as possible.

Street Side Auto has an expert staff and management team that represent years of experience in the specialty automotive aftermarket. This team has relationships with some manufacturers that go back as far as 30 years. These relationships and experience give the consumer the security of knowing they are dealing with real hands-on all-American automotive enthusiasts, who have the answers the consumer needs to help them select the right product for their needs.

Initially the website has an orderly appearance with sharp colors and layout. But the search capabilities left us frustrated. The page that lists the products does not list the prices. To find the prices the consumer must click through to multiple other pages. A very annoying feature that this website has is that every time the consumer clicks on an item to receive more information, a pop-up screen shows up that has the consumer input information about the make, model, etc. of the vehicle that you are looking for the part for to be verified by the consumer. Just to find out the price on a product you must click through many screens, as the pop-up window appears each time you navigate to a different page. This was time consuming and would prevent many from purchasing from this website, as there are many other great options available through other websites reviewed.

Free ground shipping is offered for orders over $50. If the order is deemed an oversized item, free shipping does not apply and a $99 flat rate is assessed to the order, no matter how large the shipment is. If a tire is ordered, a $25 fee per tire is assessed for shipping with the maximum fee of $99. Auto parts may be returned up to 60-days from date of purchase. All items must in original condition to be returned and will be assessed a $10 restocking fee. There are a few products that are not returnable, please check out the website for the extensive list of products. Most auto parts are warranted by the manufacturer, usually for 90 days from the date of purchase, unless specified otherwise.

Unfortunately, this poorly built website takes away from any positives in return policy or selection. We believe that most would be too frustrated to complete their purchase.

GET ALL PARTS

Get All Parts was established in 2010 and carries more than 150,000 parts in their inventory. Before shopping for auto parts with this retailer, shoppers should be aware that Get All Parts only carries aftermarket items, not OEM parts.

Prices at Get All Parts are very competitive. Across a variety of categories - Electrical, Interior, and Exterior - we found them to be less expensive than other retailers online. Shipping costs were more challenging to determine, as they are calculated on a per-item basis rather than a flat-rate based on the cost of the order.

Get All Parts really wants to earn your business. To do so, they offer two guarantees:

  • Price Match Guarantee. If you find a lower price on a competitor website, send the URL to Get All Parts. Once the match has been verified - the exact same product, in stock, and not on an auction website, for example - Get All Parts will apply the discount to your order.
  • 5-year Limited Warranty. Applies to all parts. You will need to show evidence of regular vehicle maintenance and digital photo proof of any damage. Once you've returned the product (at no cost to you), you'll have the option of a 100% refund or a replacement part shipped to you.

Unfortunately, Get All Parts doesn't have a great reputation despite those guarantees. At the time of our review, they had a C- rating at the Better Business Bureau. Also, even though the "Verified Reviews" button on the Get All Parts site showed a fantastic rating of 4.5/5 stars, when we clicked on the link it showed a much lower score of 3.8/5. Customer reviews described difficulties in getting updates from the business as to parts availability and delivery, hundreds of spam emails received (allegedly from the email address being sold by Get All Parts to other businesses), and disappointment with the quality of the parts received.

Because of the overwhelming number of negative reviews, we strongly suggest you shop for your auto parts at a retailer with a better reputation than Get All Parts.

Before you purchase your next auto parts online, it's important to consider several factors:

  • Selection.  Does the company offer the auto parts that you're looking for? Do they supply auto parts from several manufactures, or only one?
  • Return Policy.  If you buy the wrong auto parts, or they don't fit, will you be able to return the auto parts and get your money back?
  • Price.  How do the prices of the auto parts compare between competitors?
