Auto Warranty in Arizona

Arizona MapBefore purchasing a used car in Arizona, a buyer should consider an auto warranty. The car dealer may pressure the buyer to purchase an auto warranty through the dealership, so if the buyer is prepared with information the decision will be easier.

Buyers should never respond to high-pressure sales. Auto dealers sometimes misrepresent the value of the auto warranty, claiming it covers repairs that it doesn't really pay for. In addition, some auto dealers fail to file the proper paperwork to validate the coverage. If purchasing an auto warranty through a dealership, an individual should read the fine print on the warranty and confirm that the paperwork is submitted to the auto warranty company in a timely manner.

Many disreputable auto warranty companies try to obtain money through telemarketer calls. These calls often give the individual the impression that the telemarketing company is associated with the maker of the vehicle and offers a legitimate warranty. Additionally, callers often target people whose factory warranty on the vehicle is about to expire. Callers actually have no connection to the maker of the vehicle and are usually not legitimate companies. These calls should be reported, and individuals should never give out personal information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, or VIN numbers. Not responding to these types of sales pitches will help to keep the pocketbook and the personal information of the individual safe.

There are some reputable auto warranty companies, and they legitimately cover the costs and labor associated with repairs. Instead of paying $7,000 to replace the engine on an SUV, a customer could be covered with their monthly fee of approximately $100 per month for auto coverage. Auto warranties are similar to insurance; a person pays on them in the hope that it will never be necessary to use them.

Many used car dealerships in Arizona offer reliable vehicles and legitimate auto warranty coverage; a buyer needs to do their homework beforehand so there is a basic understanding of the types of auto warranties available.
