Auto Warranty in Texas

Texas MapWhen driving on Texas highways or interstates, running out of gas could be a problem. However, if a vehicle owner has an extended auto warranty plan, there may be provisions for gas delivery right to the roadside location. All that would be required of the driver would be to pay for the cost of the fuel.

Auto warranties offer many benefits to the policyholder. Some aspects of coverage include protection against the cost of an engine replacement, transmission repair, or electrical system failure. Extended auto warranties may include provisions in the event of breakdown on a trip, even paying for the cost of the motel room and meals while the policyholder waits for the repairs to be completed on the vehicle. All auto warranty plans are different, so before agreeing to a purchase the car owner should read it through in its entirety. The fine print is also important to consider. Some auto warranties contain exclusions that are detailed in small font. With the large variety of policies available, the buyer needs to be informed about the specific provisions of each plan.

Before agreeing to purchase a plan from any provider, the reputation of the company should be checked with the BBB. An A rating with the BBB indicates high customer satisfaction. In addition, the number of years the company has been in business should be taken into consideration. A new company may not have the experience necessary to process claims quickly and effectively, and there is a greater chance of new companies going out of business and leaving the policyholder to pay the repair bills that may have been covered under the policy. A prospective buyer should only consider businesses that have at least 10 years experience in providing auto warranties.

Texas drivers can obtain peace of mind by purchasing an auto warranty.
