Over 200 barstools

At Home calls itself "the home of endless possibilities" as a decor superstore. With hundreds of retail locations throughout the US, chances are good that you're already familiar with At Home's no-frills approach to rugs, furniture and more.

The selection of barstools is fairly limited with At Home: around 200 to choose from. The online store doesn't have much in the way of navigation tools, either. You can only filter by height, price range, and new arrivals. So, if you know you want a chair made of wood, you'll have to visually browse all of the options to find the ones that match.

At Home's Insider Perks program can get you extra savings. If you sign up for this free membership, you'll get a 10% discount on your next purchase, plus additional offers throughout the year (including a birthday bonus). Expect to get emails with new products, decorating tips and tricks, and any special sales and markdowns.

At Home's return policy lets you get a refund within 60 days of your purchase if your items are unused and in the original packaging. The retailer doesn't specify if you can return online purchases to one of their brick-and-mortar locations. Their return policy also states that At Home doesn't offer any price matching, exchanges, or price adjustments if your items go on sale after your order is placed.

This store definitely seems more focused on their retail shoppers, not their online customers. If you need to contact At Home, your options are to use the form on their website or reach out to your nearest local store: there's no toll-free number or live chat you can use to get help when placing an order or to ask any questions you may have.

To top that off, out of the several dozen barstools that interested us, we didn't find a single one that was available to order online. It felt like the purpose of At Home's online store was to show you what they carry in-store, instead of offering customers the convenience of buying over the internet. That makes it hard to compare this retailer with the other stores in our review, who have no problem selling their entire array of barstools and counter stools with just a few clicks of the mouse.

For that reason, At Home comes up short when looking at stores offering barstools. If you happen to live near one of their retail stores, you can use the site to get an idea of what to expect. But, if you want the convenience of ordering online, you'll need to go with a different store to buy your barstools.

Continued from above

Fortunately, there's an easy solution to the problem: buying barstools online. There's no easier way to compare all of the possibilities, leading you to the furniture that's exactly the right color, height and price with just a few clicks. Many of the retailers offering barstools have helpful tools on their site that can guide you through the process of taking measurements to ensure the best fit.

Best of all, these online stores usually offer customer-friendly perks like free delivery, generous return policies, and rewards programs that can save you money over their already-competitive prices. Why spend every weekend hoping to find your barstools locally - and then wondering how you'll fit them in your car for the drive home - when you can get exactly what you want shipped right to your front door?

With so many online stores offering barstools, how can you tell which one should get your business? Not all retailers are created equal, so use these criteria as a starting point for your shopping experience:

  • Selection. How many styles does the store carry? Does the retailer have a wide enough range for you to choose from in the height/material/price point you're considering?
  • Price. How competitive are the prices on barstools? Does the store offer a price match guarantee or any other extra savings?
  • Return Policy. If your barstools arrive and they're not a good fit, either in style or height, can you return them? What requirements do you have to follow to be eligible for a refund?
  • Reputation. What do other shoppers say about their experience with the retailer? Is the company rated by the BBB?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Barstool stores available today. We hope this information helps you find the right barstool for your home needs!
