Baseball Express vs Online Sports

Best Baseball Equipment

To help you find the Best Baseball Gear, TopConsumerReviews.com provides you with an in-depth comparison of Baseball Express and Online Sports.

In most areas of the U.S., big sporting good stores stock only a limited quantity of baseball equipment at the start of the season each year. If you need a new pair of baseball pants, a new baseball bat, or baseball gloves, you may have a tough time finding exactly what you need - especially if the baseball season is already in progress.

Shopping for baseball equipment online is the best way to find the exact size, color and brand you're looking for - at the right price - any time of the year. Several online baseball equipment stores exist today and provide easy and convenient shopping experience, at prices better than you could find at a local store.

Return Policy:

30 days with potential restocking fee

Baseball Express is part of the Team Express companies but with a less friendly shopping experience. They specialize in baseball equipment and baseball and softball equipment for adults and youth.

To shop at Baseball Express it takes a bit of time to understand how to search and how the results will appear. You may choose from a list of baseball equipment. Next you must select the next level of sub category. In the meantime, you'll see products appear that are identified as top picks, new products, top reviewed, and some text from the company.

We didn't understand at first if that was the extent of the selection or not and eventually decided to ignore it. Once the product list appears you may narrow down by price, rating, size, color and brand if you so choose.

Baseball Express has a decent selection of apparel and equipment but we found fewer choices in the apparel and some of the other categories. We found prices a little higher than some of the other companies but identified that Baseball Express will match any other advertised price if you want to go through the hassle of talking to them and proving your finding.

Baseball Express allows for 30 days for returns on new, unused products but may charge a 25% restocking fee on certain items. You can anticipate a $6.95 flat rate shipping fee.

Despite the solid selection at Baseball Express we were less excited about the navigation at this website. We also had a tough time getting excited about the return policy but know that Baseball Express has a good reputation.

90 days

Online Sports has been in business since 1995 and currently offers around 150,000 different sporting good products. Their baseball selection was more extensive than some of the other sporting good stores but lacked the focus and solid organization we appreciate.

The categories available at Online Sports include field equipment, batting cages, memorabilia, caps, gloves, helmets, trading cards and more. When the results appear at Online Sports we couldn't find any easy way to navigate the mix mash inventory and sometimes we'd find other products mixed in with the baseball equipment. When we clicked on jerseys were overwhelmed with memorabilia, basketball jerseys and much more. It was not a pleasant or easy shopping experience.

If you have any problem or decide against your purchase you have a nice 90 day return period. We found it hard to compare product prices and some products were sold in larger quantities. However, based on our comparison we found Online Sports to be expensive compared to our higher ranked companies. One of the few positives at Online Sports was the free shipping offer on a portion of their product offering.

Online Sports was an overwhelming shopping experience that left us wanting so much more. The selection was huge but not well organized or abundant across the brands we know and trust. We couldn't get excited about Online Sports.

However, not all baseball stores are alike. Policies and selection can vary greatly and it's important to know which baseball equipment stores you can count on when you need something in a pinch.

Before shopping for your next baseball helmet, baseball bat, or baseball glove, you should consider the following:

  • Selection. Does the baseball equipment store provide a large selection of different types of baseball equipment across several brands?
  • Prices. How do the baseball equipment prices compare? Where will you most likely find your best deal?
  • Return policy. If the baseball equipment isn't what you expected, or you change your mind, how long do you have to return it? Will you get a full refund?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best baseball equipment stores available today. We hope these reviews help you find the baseball equipment you're looking for!
