As one of the most popular two-player games in arcades worldwide, it's no surprise that air hockey tables are a sought-after item when people are setting up a game room in their home or at the office. There's just something about driving that puck against the rails and lining up that perfect shot into the goal!
But, you're unlikely to see a big selection of air hockey tables at a store near you. Why? Unless you choose a tabletop toy version of the game, these rec room favorites take up a lot of space. Most retailers aren't able to commit such a big portion of their display area to selling air hockey tables (or pool tables, foosball equipment, and so on). That's no cause for concern, because there are many online retailers of game room gear that can help you get the air hockey table of your dreams delivered right to your location - and you can usually have it professionally installed too, for an extra fee.
Saturday, December 2nd
Wayfair is our go-to online store for just about anything we need for our home, for gift-giving, or just for a little bit of retail therapy. No joke: their inventory consists of over 33 million products from more than 23,000 suppliers, with 25.4 million active customers - and counting.
Best selection of entry- to mid-level games
Among those millions of items, you'll find just over 100 air hockey tables - all with free shipping. That's a pretty impressive selection for a store that doesn't specialize in game room equipment. You're not going to see high-end arcade tables here, but rather a selection that starts with tabletop toys and goes up to stylish multipurpose tables that will blend in seamlessly with your decor.
Small but mighty
Starting with the least expensive options at Wayfair, you'll see about a dozen tabletop air hockey options, priced between $30 and $80. Wayfair's recommended choice is the Sport Squad 40" for $53.02, and out of 80+ customers almost all of them gave this tiny table a perfect five stars.
Check out the convertible
At the upper end of Wayfair's air hockey tables, you'll find the Hathaway Games Driftwood 3-in-1 that converts into a dining or craft table, priced at $1,601.92. That's competitive with the other retailers where we found this model on offer but, like in other places, the estimated delivery time was 3-4 weeks. For about $100 less, you could get the American Legend 3-in-1 with the same features - table tennis, air hockey, or dining top - and delivered within two weeks. For these higher-priced air hockey tables, you may want to add a protection plan to your purchase: it'll tack on about 10-15% to the sale price, but you'll be covered for up to five years.
A+ from the BBB
Wayfair has an "A+" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. It doesn't get better than that, folks. No, this retailer isn't complaint-free: over 1400 were filed with the BBB in the last year alone. But, when you have tens of millions of customers, it's not exactly a huge warning sign when things don't go right every once in a while - and that "A+" means the BBB thinks Wayfair is doing a reliable job of responding when shoppers have problems.
Use reviews to your advantage
And, one big perk of shopping with a popular retailer is being able to consider other customers' reviews when making your purchase. For example, the Face Off 60" Two Player Table with Electronic Scoring by Hathaway Games had over 500 ratings at the time of this evaluation, with an average of 4.4 out of 5 stars. Many shopper reviews include photos of the air hockey table in use, giving you a feel for how it looks in a game room once it's been assembled.
Returns could be expensive
The only disadvantage to buying your air hockey table here is returns. You'll have 30 days to make a return, but you'll have to pay for the shipping costs. You can imagine that with a bigger piece of equipment, that could get spendy. That's another good reason to look at shopper feedback on any air hockey table that you're considering: it's less likely that you'll need to return something that everyone else has loved.
First-place choice for air hockey tables
You can't go wrong with buying your air hockey table from Wayfair. The selection is broad enough to include options for almost every taste and budget, shipping is always free, and customer reviews make it even easier to get a table that's going to last a long time. Once again, Wayfair comes in as our first-place winner among retailers of air hockey tables.
Game Room Guys is a family-owned business you'll love. Started by a former AT&T sales manager who thought he was going to retire and rest but then fell in love with video game servicing, this company has grown by leaps and bounds since 2001. With a 26,000 sq. foot warehouse in Michigan, Game Room Guys sells just about every type of game you could dream of having in your home, from pinball to classic arcade video games and beyond. You'll have no problem finding something you like in their selection of about 30 air hockey tables.
Prices start at $2,499
Don't visit the Game Room Guys' store expecting anything cheap or poorly-constructed. Their lowest-priced air hockey table is the Gold Standard Games Pro Elite for $2,499 to $2,599, depending on whether you choose standard charcoal or arcade styling for your color. Designed by air hockey champion Mark Robbins, you'll get electronic side scoring, a centerline and face-off circle for true competition, and professional-style aluminum rails. It comes with a one-year warranty, and all orders here get free curbside delivery.
Arcade-style fun for 4
What if the sky's the limit? Check out the Barron Games Galaxy Collision Quad Air Table with LED Topper. Priced at "just" $11,499 to $11,699, this model lets you play with up to four pucks at a time and even has gates that open and close when a player has lost all their lives or time runs out. It features attraction-mode music, comes with 20 pucks and 8 mallets, and is definitely on par with what you'd find at a modern arcade. Shipping is free on this air hockey table too, but the warranty is limited to 1`20 days.
Flawless BBB rating
We're pleased to report that Game Room Guys has an "A+" from the Better Business Bureau, with zero complaints filed there. That's a big deal for a company that's been in operation for more than two decades.
Customer service is extraordinary
Better yet, we were able to find over 100 five-star reviews from GRG customers. People say that the customer service here is unparalleled from start to finish. You'll get clear communication at every step of the way, whether you need help picking out an air hockey table or you need an update on your delivery timeframe. Time and again, customers rave about how pleasant it is working with the GRG team - and some people have trusted this store on multiple purchases over the years.
Best choice for top-quality air hockey tables
Let's be realistic: not every shopper wants to spend thousands of dollars on an air hockey table, so Game Room Guys might not be the right choice if you're on a limited budget. On the other hand, this is the absolute best place to shop if you're building the game room of your dreams and you want a well-constructed air hockey table and world-class customer service too. We have nothing but great things to say about Game Room Guys.
Is there anything you can't buy at Walmart? This superstore is world-renowned for carrying, well, just about everything from a(automotive parts) to z(zebra-shaped pool floats). And yes indeed, you can buy air hockey tables here too. In fact, Walmart has the best selection of any retailer we evaluated, with around 120 models ranging in price from $14 to $1,590.
Try an air hockey toy for starters
Need something to keep your littles busy for a while? Try the DOBA Kids Toy Mini Tabletop Air Hockey Game. For under $20, it's a fun way to introduce them to the concept of air hockey without making a big investment. It's not the highest-rated air hockey table sold by Walmart, averaging just 3.5 stars out of 5, but hey, it's only $19.84. Many of Walmart's options are the tabletop style, so browse a bit if that's the right idea but you're looking for something a bit more sturdy yet toy-like.
Options for up to 4 players
For bigger kids and adults, the most high-end air hockey table in stock at the time of this Walmart review was the MD Sports Titan 7.5' model with overhead scoring. Priced at $1,240, this table is wide enough to accommodate two players at a time on each side and comes with four pushers and pucks. You can also add a Walmart Protection Plan by Allstate if you'd like coverage beyond the manufacturer's limited 90-day warranty, up to four years for $80 or less.
Is it in stock?
One aspect of shopping for air hockey tables here that we found annoying was the fact that we couldn't see which ones were in stock until we clicked on individual models that caught our attention. For example, we were excited to see the Hathaway Sherwood with Benches at a lower price than one of Walmart's rivals - until we went to the product listing and saw it was unavailable. If there's an easy way to filter out such listings, we couldn't find it.
Not all tables are fulfilled by Walmart
Another thing to keep in mind that may not be readily apparent is that many items sold through the Walmart online store are fulfilled by third-party businesses. You'll see that information when you scroll down to view shipping and pickup options on individual air hockey tables. Why does it matter? Walmart gives you free 90-day returns on products they sell, but many of those partners only give you a 30-day window. The terms and conditions vary by retailer, so be sure you know what you're getting (or, more accurately, who you're getting it from). That can also affect your shipping options, in-store pickup capabilities, and so on.
Solid choice for reasonably-priced air hockey tables
Not looking for arcade-quality models - or prices? No problem here. We like the broad selection of options, the ability to make in-store returns on many items, and the overall convenience of knowing what dozens of other customers have said about a lot of the air hockey tables sold through Walmart. This retailer is a solid choice for relatively low-tech air hockey tables.
Overstock sells everything you could possibly need to set up your dream home, from throw pillows to dog houses and beyond. In business since 1999, this online-only retailer would love to be your one-stop shop for all things home.
Not just air hockey tables
Because Overstock doesn't exactly specialize in game room equipment, you're not going to find a dedicated sales page with hundreds of options to choose from. In fact, when you search for "air hockey tables" , you'll get a list with almost 40 matches - which includes a couple of video games, several foosball tables, and even a few skeeball games. Counting up only the actual air hockey styles, including ones that give you several games in one table, Overstock only comes in with about 17 items.
Lowest-priced option is $70
Your least-expensive option here is the Costway 2-in-1 Table Game. It lets you play foosball and air hockey with one piece of equipment, and at least one customer gave it a perfect five-star rating. Not bad for a toy that costs about $70.
Competition-ready table for $1,799
Looking for a non-toy air hockey table for legit competition? Overstock's top model was the Atomic Avenger 8' in silver, priced at $1,799. With LED scoring and heavy-duty construction, this 200-lb. table should be able to withstand heavy use - but you can always add extended protection for up to three years. It's spendier than the coverage we saw offered by one of Overstock's rivals - $204.49 for three years - but it's a good way to save yourself money on expensive repairs, perhaps.
Free shipping... eventually
All of the air hockey tables sold by Overstock come with free shipping. You can get an estimated delivery date on each product's page, and we recommend you enter your zip code to find out when your selection might arrive. We were surprised to see that in our area, that Atomic Avenger would be delivered anywhere from 9-19 days from the date we placed the order: not as drastic as one air hockey table retailer's 16-week timeframe, but still a little longer than we anticipated (and quite a wide span of dates).
Get rewards through Club "O"
Overstock has a rewards program called Club O. It costs $19.95/year and earns you 5% back on purchases that you can redeem at checkout, plus free returns on select products indicated as such on the site. It might be worth considering if you're buying a more expensive air hockey table and/or you plan on shopping frequently at the Overstock site.
Good reputation
This retailer has a good reputation. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an "A+" rating and accreditation. While Overstock has received 1200+ complaints over the last three years, it's nothing out of the ordinary for such a major online store - and the BBB rating means that they're doing right by their customers, responding appropriately to complaints and getting them resolved.
See what customers have said
Need more reassurance before placing an order here? You can also see ratings on some of the air hockey tables, if you need further information about their quality, and you can check out the Q&A section on every product page to get more details.
Good store but selection has declined
We've had to bring Overstock down in our rankings in accordance with their drop in selection: going from 60+ air hockey tables to under 20 is a huge shift, and it means that some customers aren't going to find what they're looking for here. It's still a retailer we trust overall, and there's no reason not to take a peek and see if Overstock might have an air hockey table that fits your game room space.
The Home Depot got its start in 1970 as a small hardware store in Atlanta, Georgia. Just look at them now: over 2,300 brick-and-mortar stores throughout North America and a robust online store with millions of products.
All free-standing air hockey tables here
Yes, shopping at Home Depot, you'll find thousands and thousands of home improvement items - but just a little over a dozen air hockey tables (one of which is actually a dome hockey game styled more like foosball). You won't find any tabletop/toy styles here, just free-standing versions priced from $133 to $1,600.
$133 for the most affordable table
Your least-expensive option is the Hathaway Hat Trick 4' Air Hockey Table. It comes with free ship-to-store or free home delivery, your choice. It's not a bad option for an entry-level addition to your game room, with an average rating of four out of five stars from four customers.
$1,600 for a three-in-one style
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Hathaway Sherwood 7' Air Hockey Table with Benches. With this model, there's a table insert with a ping-pong surface on one side and a dining table surface on the other, plus seating on both sides. Though we might not recommend actually using it for eating (we're picturing drink spills and food crumbs falling through the cracks to the air hockey table surface below, ew), it would be a nice way to have a flat space for board games and jigsaw puzzles. This table has free in-store pickup, or you can pay $55 to have it delivered to your home. It also has an average rating of four stars from four shoppers.
90-day return period
You've got 90 days to return your air hockey table if you change your mind, as long as it's new and unopened. We recommend making an in-store return if you've got one nearby: it's easier than getting a return shipping label through Home Depot's online returns portal and dropping it off at a UPS Access Point location, in most cases.
Trustworthy retailer
Home Depot has earned the highest accolades offered by the Better Business Bureau: an "A+" rating and accreditation. Sure, there were over 12,000 complaints filed there over the last three years, but that's what we'd expect to see from a store with thousands of stores. We're not worried at all that this store might deliver an unsatisfactory shopping experience if you buy one of their air hockey tables.
Small selection but good enough
For convenience alone, Home Depot isn't a bad place to get an air hockey table. You're not going to be "wow-ed" by their selection, but their prices are comparable with other stores and you've got a good 90-day return policy with in-store drop-off and pick-up if you need it. This isn't our highest-ranked retailer of air hockey tables, but you could do worse.
From humble origins as a small-town hardware store on the East Coast, Lowe's has grown to become one of the biggest home improvement stores worldwide with over 19 million customer transactions every single week.
Very small selection
Lowe's isn't exactly a game equipment superstore, so it should come as no surprise that their selection of air hockey tables is not exactly extensive. There were just 12 models to choose from when we shopped there recently, and two of them were "stick hockey" (or foosball-style) tables. But, you've got a range of options, from tabletop toy versions under $30 to full-size freestanding models.
Not all tables are available for purchase
You'll want to pay close attention to the listings. If it says "Add to Cart" , you're good to go. Choose between free in-store pickup or free delivery. But, if it says "Notify Me" , the table is out of stock. During our visit to the Lowe's store, there were only six air hockey tables that were available for immediate purchase. And, even on the in-stock models, the delivery or pick-up dates weren't always close: on the Atomic Arcade Freestanding air hockey table, for instance, the delivery/in-store date was 12 days away.
90-day returns
You can return your air hockey table within 90 days if it's in unused condition. It's probably easiest to take it back to a store near you, but you can also start a return online through the Lowe's website. They say "parcel returns" are free, but they don't indicate if that applies to larger items like air hockey tables. You may want to pop open a chat on the Lowe's site to ask, if you're looking at a larger model and anticipate a possibility of needing a return.
Great customer service
The one bit of good news is that you can rely on Lowe's to provide good customer service. They've got an "A+" and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, and their reps are well-known for their friendly, knowledgeable help. And, although customer feedback is understandably limited on air hockey tables, Lowe's still lets you see what people have had to say about the products they sell.
Solid retailer, low inventory
In general, we love Lowe's - but maybe not so much for buying air hockey tables. There aren't many in-stock styles to choose from, and there's probably nothing available for quick purchase and pick-up or delivery if you've gotten a sudden inspiration for your next game night. Go ahead and get your air hockey table here if you see one that you like, but we're pretty sure you'll have better luck shopping somewhere with a more extensive inventory.
As a Utah-based, family-owned business, Competitive Edge Products has been providing outdoor gear and home furnishings for almost 20 years.
Always a limited selection
You're not going to be impressed by the selection offered by this retailer. We've evaluated them several times over the years, and they've never had more than a small handful of air hockey tables. During our most recent visit, their entire inventory under "Table Hockey Tables" consisted of just 13 items, three of which were strikers and pucks.
Most tables not even in stock
Of the 10 air hockey tables listed by Competitive Edge, six were out of stock. If the table of your dreams is in that group, you can click on the yellow "Put me on the waiting list" button in the item's description and be notified when it's available for purchase again.
4 options from $549 to $949
The four in-stock tables ranged in price from $549 to $949, and they all came with free shipping. On the low end of the spectrum, we found the Hathaway Midtown II 6-ft. Air Hockey Table: a nice entry-level model with electronic LED scoring, cherry wood-tone cabinet, and pedestal-style legs. The most high-end model in stock was the Atomic 90" Top Shelf Air Hockey Table: light up your game play with two LED pushers and a hexagonal spinner LED puck, plus high-tempo music as your background.
Price-match guarantee
Competitive Edge offers a low-price guarantee. If you find one of their air hockey tables at a better price, click on the link in the product description. You'll be taken to a pop-up form that asks for your email address, the link to the competitor site, and your zip code. You also have to check a box that confirms the table is in stock at the other retailer (because they won't price match out-of-stock items). A representative from Competitive Edge will respond via email within 3-4 business days to make the arrangements to match or beat the price.
Restocking fees + return shipping = costly returns
This store has a strict return policy. You've got 30 days to initiate a return, but you'll pay a 20% restocking fee. Plus, you're not only responsible for the return shipping costs, but you'll also have their initial delivery fees deducted from your refund (since you will have gotten free shipping when your table was sent to you). Add all of that up and you'll probably decide it's not worth it to change your mind on your air hockey table here.
Store reputation is good
We have zero concerns about Competitive Edge's reputation. They've maintained an "A+" and accreditation throughout the years, and their customers have positive things to say about the products and the overall buying experience.
Selection is too limited
However, with such a limited selection of in-stock air hockey tables and a less-than-generous return policy, this retailer comes up short in comparison with its rivals. If you happen to find an air hockey table here that you love and you're pretty sure you won't have any reason to send it back, go for it. Otherwise, you're more likely to find what you're looking for at a store with a bigger selection.
Dick's Sporting Goods has been around for a long time - over 80 years in fact. With retail locations throughout the nation, you've probably got one of their brick-and-mortar stores near you.
Air hockey on the go
During our most recent shopping trip to the Dick's online store, we found 17 air hockey tables in their inventory. On the low end of the price spectrum, they were offering four tabletop models for $105 and under. Super-portable and great for a quick round of fun, these air hockey tables are a good way to introduce someone to the game without taking up a ton of space.
Super-spendy shipping
The most expensive air hockey table sold here was the Fat Cat Pockey Table, priced at $1,329.99. This is a terrific option if you'd like the ability to play pool too: flip the latches and your air hockey table converts to a pool table in seconds. Watch out for shipping costs, though: unless you can pick up your table at a store near you, you could wind up paying quite a bit for delivery. This one, for example, had an estimated shipping cost of $280: over 20% of the price of the air hockey table itself.
Check out customer reviews
We like the fact that customers can leave product reviews on every product sold by Dick's Sporting Goods - even if those reviews aren't always positive, it gives you a clearer idea of what to expect before you buy. For instance, on that two-in-one table we mentioned, the one review said that it wasn't as durable as expected at that price point, but that it still offered decent gameplay.
Price matching
Dick's Sporting Goods has a Best Price Guarantee. If you find one of their air hockey tables in stock and at a lower price from a store on their eligible retailers list (like Walmart, Kohl's, or Target), you can request a price match in store or over the phone.
90-day returns
If you want to return your air hockey table, you've got 90 days to do so. It has to be in "clean and resalable condition" to be eligible for a refund. We recommend returning it in store, if you have a Dick's near you, because you may be responsible for the return shipping fees for larger items.
Low BBB rating for not answering complaints
We have a hard time getting past Dick's reputation with the Better Business Bureau: a rock-bottom "F" and (logically) no accreditation. We'd expect a big brand like this one to have its fair share of complaints, so we weren't overly thrown by the nearly 400 filed against Dick's Sporting Goods over the last three years. What did surprise us is their failure to respond to over 50 of them, and leaving 47 as responded-to but unresolved. That's unacceptable for such a large corporation, with no shortage of customer support reps who could ensure that customer concerns are handled well.
Not a great place to buy air hockey tables
Dick's Sporting Goods earns one of our lowest ratings. Their selection of air hockey tables isn't that robust, their shipping fees are costly, and their track record for customer satisfaction leaves much to be desired. Try one of the higher-ranked air hockey table stores in our review instead.
Game Dribble focuses on bringing customers game tables exclusively made in America, through relationships with all of the major US manufacturers.
Big selection
There's a huge range of air hockey tables here, with just around 50 to choose from. Your most entry-level option is the Triumph 48" 4-in-1 Swivel Table, priced at $289. It combines air hockey with billiards, launch football and table tennis to give you plenty of choices for entertainment. It had five customer reviews, all of which were four- and five-star ratings. This model has a limited 90-day manufacturer warranty.
Arcade-style tables available
The opposite end of the price spectrum brings you to the Dynamo 8' Fire Storm. It's priced at $9,995 if you want coin operated (hey, why not charge the kiddos for playtime?!) or $9,195 if you'd just as soon not have to keep quarters on hand in your basement. As you'd expect with a high-end air hockey table, this model is fully-featured with a commercial-grade cabinet, jam-proof scoring, adjustable game sounds, and LED lighting you can configure as desired. Keep in mind that the assembly lead time on this table was 16 weeks at the time of our review: not something you're going to buy for use any time soon.
Free shipping and post-purchase price matching
Every air hockey table sold by Game Dribble comes with free shipping. This retailer sweetens the deal a little by not charging any sales tax on your order. They also give you a price match guarantee: if you find one of their air hockey tables at a lower price within 30 days of your purchase, they'll refund you the difference. The only downside is that they won't match the price beforehand: you have to place your order first, then request the match.
Standard return policy
Game Dribble's return policy is pretty standard. You've got 30 days to return your air hockey table for a refund, as long as it's in unused condition. That means you can't have assembled or modified it in any way. The return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund.
Is anyone home?
It's not easy finding feedback for Game Dribble. Our search for a listing with the Better Business Bureau came up empty, and Game Dribble's Facebook page only had five "likes" , no reviews. We thought that maybe the company was so new that they hadn't yet had time to gain much traction - but then their blog posts were over two years old at the time of this evaluation. Even the small number of product reviews on some of the air hockey tables sold here were mostly from 2020.
Room to grow
If we had a way to give Game Dribble a "No Rating" , we would. There's just not enough information to go on here. Are they doing a brisk business or none at all? Are customers over-the-moon happy with their air hockey tables or bitterly disappointed? This is a retailer we'd like to like, because we love the idea of getting American-made equipment, but we need some evidence of their reliability before recommending Game Dribble to prospective customers. We'd gladly move this retailer up in our rankings if we find some of that feedback in the future, but until then we have no choice but to give Game Dribble a room-for-improvement rating.
Game Tables 4 Less says that "all [they] sell is fun" . Based in Florida, this retailer specializes in - you guessed it - all types of game tables, from ping pong to air hockey and more.
Prices may be negotiable
This is not the place to shop if you want some rinky-dink little tabletop toy. Everything sold by Game Tables 4 Less is a legitimate air hockey game, from more modestly-priced styles under $1,000 to arcade-quality models for a little over $9,000. Interestingly, some of their most expensive tables have a price but also an invitation saying "on sale - call or email - prices too low to list" , so you may have some ability to wheel-and-deal here and they do advertise that they guarantee the lowest prices nationwide.
Play just like at the arcade
So, what will you get for that $9,000 model? It's the 8' Fire Storm Home Air Hockey Table by Dynamo. With interactive lights that flash when you score, overhead styling, electronic LED scoring, and a commercial-quality cabinet, you'll feel like you're playing at your favorite arcade. Standard curbside delivery is included, and you've got options for doorstep delivery or even in-home assembly (the latter requires that you call for a quote).
All-in-one for more fun
Maybe that's a little out of your price range. Take a look at the 13-in-1 Combination Game Table by Berner Billiards instead. Priced at $925, this model comes in a variety of colors and finishes to match your decor. It includes full electric motor-powered air hockey, ping pong, foosball, pool, bowling, shuffleboard, chess, checkers, backgammon, Yahtzee, dominoes, poker and pinochle. Once again, delivery is free and you can pay extra for set-up if needed.
BBB gives this retailer a failing grade
Because this retailer has such a wide selection of air hockey tables, we were optimistic that they'd earn one of our highest ratings. Unfortunately, their reputation doesn't allow us to be very positive in our evaluation. Starting with an "F" from the Better Business Bureau for failure to respond to customer complaints, Game Tables 4 Less is disappointing.
Customer feedback is dismal
Then, as we considered shopper reviews, it painted a picture of a retailer that doesn't have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Comment after comment, people say that this store doesn't take care of problems. And, the air hockey tables here are frequently described as being very low quality for the money spent. Air hockey tables and other equipment arrive in non-working condition, with missing or damaged parts, and it's like pulling teeth trying to get a resolution. More than one shopper said that Game Tables 4 Less reps were downright rude, blaming the customer for the issues and telling them to shop somewhere else.
Better choices available
Shop elsewhere for your air hockey table. That's advice we recommend you follow: choose any other retailer for your air hockey table, because we think you're only going to have a frustrating experience here. Game Tables 4 Less gets our lowest ranking among air hockey table stores.
Which type of air hockey table are you looking for? Your budget may be the biggest determining factor of the gameplay you ultimately get. Lower-priced tables use a smooth table surface for the puck and striker to slide on, but the more advanced (and costlier) models use air currents to let the puck float freely - and you'll need a nearby electrical outlet to plug those tables in, too.
Maybe you want all the bells and whistles - literally! - just like the arcade. You're in luck: some retailers specialize in high-end game tables, complete with LED lights you can customize, fun music, and electronic scoring to keep track of who's dominating the game. Prices can range anywhere from $20 for a little toy table to more than $11,000 for a fully tricked-out arcade-style air hockey table that's sure to bring the party to your house.
With more than a few retailers offering rec room equipment, how can you tell where to start your shopping? Here are a few guidelines that will help you narrow it down:
