Where is the best place to find Amish furniture?  Are you looking to spruce up your home décor, but want something more exciting or original than some of the quick-buy furniture you find at many big-name stores? Amish furniture is a well-respected and top-tier style to look for if you want furniture pieces that really pop.
Online Amish Furniture is an American-made retailer that promises that 100% of its inventory is created using old-world techniques (no machines). Online Amish Furniture has been around since 1999, and promises top-tier customer service with its high-quality Amish furniture. Like many of its competitors, Online Amish Furniture offers fully custom-built items if you want to match existing woods, stains, or sizes for your home. Online Amish Furniture also promises that all of its products have been brought up to comply with the Sturdy Act, which was instituted by the government in 2023.
Smaller inventory than many competitors
Online Amish Furniture's inventory includes all the staples: bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, living room necessities, occasional furniture, entertainment centers, home office furniture, bathroom vanities, baby cribs, outdoor furniture, and a specific line of "barnwood" furniture. However, compared to other Amish furniture stores, Online Amish Furniture has fewer items in its inventory. For example, while most sites have over 200 options for beds, Online Amish Furniture only had 35. Other typically popular items, like sofas, only had 40 results, or bookcases had only 26 results.
Prices start a little higher at around $800
To compare Amish furniture prices across different retailers, we checked out the cost of individual pieces like bookshelves and coffee tables. If you're hoping to furnish an entire room in one go, we looked at the pricing for complete bedroom sets. Here's what we found at Online Amish Furniture:
1-year warranty and 1-year returns
Online Amish Furniture did offer some deals with a 5% off (sitewide) sale during the time of our research. Online Amish Furniture offers both curbside and white-glove delivery options, though the prices aren't listed initially until you get to the shipping page. All pieces at Online Amish Furniture come with a 1-year warranty against defects related to materials and workmanship. However, if you don't keep your house at 35%-45% humidity levels, your warranty is voided. If you order a piece over $500, you will be charged a 30% non-refundable deposit. If you want to cancel your order, you have 72 hours to do so. If you want to return your Amish furniture after you've received it, you can contact Online Amish Furniture to return it for up to 1 year. This is the longest return window we've seen during our research. However, you will pay a 25% restocking fee and pay for return shipping.
Top marks from verified reviews
Online Amish Furniture currently holds an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. On the other hand, it didn't have many reviews on trusted third-party sites like Trustpilot or Sitejabber. We did find some reviews for Online Amish Furniture on third-party sites that were from verified buyers who rated the service at 4.9 stars out of 5. Almost all of the reviews were a full five stars and included photos of the furniture in customers' homes. We would point out that many of these reviews were collected via "invite," according to the site data, so they may all be positive for a reason. Generally, the consensus is that the quality and finish of Online Amish Furniture's items are "flawless" and have a "perfect" finish.
Top pick: best customer service policies
Online Amish Furniture is a top-notch choice, both for its impressive reviews and for its 1-year return window. If you're looking for a site that is known for high quality and makes good on its promises for top-notch customer service, this store is the one. While we'd like to see a larger inventory, Online Amish Furniture does offer custom items, so you can play around with the designs and get exactly what you want. For these reasons, it comes in as our top pick with a full 5 stars.
Amish Direct Furniture has been around since 1999, and specializes in hardwood pieces that are 100% unique every time. The company promises that every piece is completely different from the others, so you'll never have a piece that matches someone else's design. Amish Direct Furniture even offers a "build your own" furniture deal with everything built-to-order, so you can customize your pieces to fit your exact vision. All of the pieces at Amish Direct Furniture are made with American lumber, so everything is sourced from within the US.
Over 1,000 items in some furniture categories
Amish Direct Furniture has everything you could want from dining room pieces, living room pieces, bedroom sets, baby cribs, office furniture, outdoor items, and more. The most popular sections at Amish Direct Furniture are Dining (with 973 products to choose from), Living Room (with 855), and Bedroom (with 1,334 items). Amish Direct Furniture even offers a sale/clearance section, but there was only one product in there at the time of our review.
Prices as low as $214.20 per item
To compare prices between different Amish furniture stores, we looked at similar categories across every site. We looked at two individual items: bookshelves and coffee tables. We also looked at the price ranges for bedroom sets to see how much it would cost to furnish an entire room. However, Amish Direct Furniture did not offer any bedroom items in collections; you have to buy all of the pieces separately. So, we priced out the least expensive bed, side table (nightstand), and chest of drawers together against the most expensive of all three to give you a full-room furnishing price. Here's what we found at Amish Direct Furniture:
1-year warranty and 30-day returns
Amish Direct Furniture offered a sale at the time of our review for 15% off everything sitewide. So, depending on when you shop, you might be able to find competitive deals to make the furniture items more affordable. For delivery, shipping is not free with Amish Direct Furniture, but you can choose from curbside delivery or in-house delivery. As for returns, the company offers a workmanship and craftsmanship guarantee for one year from your delivery date. If an issue comes up within that first year, Amish Direct Furniture will repair or replace your items at zero cost. As for regular returns, you have 30 days to send back your furniture; however, you will not get a refund for your original shipping fees, and there will be a 35% restocking fee charged. Ouch.
Top marks for easy delivery
Amish Direct Furniture currently holds an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. While it isn't rated by our usual third-party review sites like Trustpilot and Sitejabber, we did find a few reviews for Amish Direct Furniture on Yelp. With just 18 reviews to go by, we'd like to see more feedback to get a better overall picture of Amish Direct Furniture's quality, but what we did find showed a 4.3-star average rating out of 5. Customers praised the delivery service and noted that the shipments were on time and carefully brought in with no damage. Amish Direct Furniture was praised for its options for free samples of wood types and stains, and some customers cited free shipping on specific orders. Most reviews offered compliments like "exceeded all expectations" and praised the high-quality wood and designs.
Known for its custom designs
Amish Direct Furniture is a great spot if you're looking for truly custom pieces to fit your home. Known for its impressive number of stains, free samples of wood, and creating unique designs to your exact specifications, this shop is a top-notch choice for pieces that are 100% yours. While we'd like to see a few more reviews, Amish Direct Furniture remains a competitive site, earning very high marks in our review.
Pinecraft is a large retailer for Amish furniture and décor that's based in the Pinecraft area of Florida, known for "snowbirds" who come down from the north. This Amish furniture store is known for its wide variety of outdoor furniture, as well as for offering options made in traditional wood or more eco-friendly poly materials. Pinecraft ships to the contiguous 48 states and offers completely custom items if you want some.
2,000+ outdoor designs
Pinecraft has over 2,000 Amish furniture items in stock. Whether you want unique items like fully-built greenhouses or chicken coops, or playgrounds for kids, there's plenty of unique finds to choose from at Pinecraft. However, you might notice a bit of a difference between Pinecraft's inventory and other Amish furniture retailers: there aren't any options for indoor pieces. You can get tons of patio furniture, yard and garden materials, and dog houses, but you won't find any indoor basics or bedroom sets at this retailer.
Prices from $309 per outdoor item
Normally, our price comparison for Amish furniture is based on indoor items: bookshelves, coffee tables, and bedroom sets. There just isn't anything similar at Pinecraft to compare. So, we looked at patio tables instead of coffee tables, patio sets instead of bedroom sets, and porch swings instead of bookshelves, to still give you pricing for two individual items and one set. Here's what we found at Pinecraft:
Free shipping on orders $199+
At the time of our review, Pinecraft offered a competitive discount of 10% on all orders of Amish furniture. When you order from Pinecraft, you'll be able to score free shipping on items that are over $199. There may be freight charges for extremely large structures like kennels, coops, or playhouses. At this time, it doesn't appear that Pinecraft offers white-glove delivery with setup. If you'd like to cancel your order, you have 48 hours to do so for a full refund. If you decide to return it after that cancellation window, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee, and you will have to pay for shipping back to Pinecraft.
Quick resolutions from customer service
Pinecraft currently holds a "B-" rating on the Better Business Bureau, but this is only due to 1 complaint that hasn't received a response from the company. As for customer reviews, Pinecraft has an impressive 4.7-star average rating on ShopperApproved. Most customers are happy with the shopping experience and options for customization. Pinecraft does have some negative comments about coupon codes not working properly, but after contacting customer service, most shoppers said their problem was resolved. Like a few other Amish furniture stores in our review, there was some concern about long delivery times, but overall, most people were impressed with the quality of their outdoor furniture.
Best outdoor Amish furniture store
Pinecraft is the top spot in our review for outdoor Amish furniture. While it doesn't offer any indoor staples, which might make it useful only for certain customers who are looking to furnish a farm, backyard, porch, or pool deck, it still has some of the most competitive styles, and it's got a standout shipping policy as well. As one of the only sites in our review that offers free shipping for Amish furniture, Pinecraft stands out from the pack. Only its lack of indoor furniture keeps it from our top picks.
Amish Outlet Store sells Amish furniture that is known for its solid wood designs and customization options. All of the Amish furniture at Amish Outlet Store is made in the USA by professional artisans and ships nationwide. The company is based in Ohio and specializes in Mission and Shaker-style furniture. All of the pieces are custom-made with solid oak and cherry wood.
Largest section is 443 items
Amish Outlet Store has a competitive selection of bedroom, dining room, living room, office, and outdoor furniture. There are 109 results for Amish bedroom sets, 61 different dining cabinets, 20 options for wine cabinets, and the most popular item is nightstands, which includes 443 different options. While there are fewer Amish furniture items available than we've seen at other retailers that have thousands of pieces in the inventory, if you look through the sections for your favorites, there's still plenty to explore here.
Prices start as low as $249 for individual items
To see how Amish Outlet Store stacks up against other Amish furniture stores for price, we looked at two individual items: bookshelves and coffee tables. We also researched bedroom sets to see how much it would cost to furnish an entire room. Here's what we found at Amish Outlet Store:
Shipping fees start at $249
Amish Outlet Store ships through partnered third-party delivery companies that know how to deliver and assemble your Amish furniture in your home. You should make sure to inspect your furniture at the time of delivery. If you find any defects, the company will have the items either replaced or repaired at zero cost, but these claims are handled on a case-by-case basis. Standard curbside delivery is $249 per order. If you want white-glove delivery where you get assembly included, you will pay an additional $199 on top of the original shipping fee. As for returns, all refunds will not include your shipping costs (to you and return shipping), and you will be charged a 20% restocking fee. However, you only have 10 days to make a return.
Top marks for quick and easy orders
Amish Outlet Store has a top-notch score from the Better Business Bureau, having earned a full "A+" rating and accreditation. On top of that, this retailer also has competitive ratings on third-party review sites like Trustpilot, where it holds a 4.5-star average rating out of 5. Customers loved how easy it was to order items directly or with customizations. Customers loved the delivery process too, with praise for friendly and knowledgeable help during delivery and setup. With 5-star reviews as recently as a few months before our review, it's clear customers are regularly shopping at Amish Outlet Store for their Amish furniture with impressive results.
Simple ordering and friendly delivery
Amish Outlet Store stands out for its impressive customer service and simple orders. If you're looking for a site where you can easily customize your Amish furniture, you'll be able to find what you like at this retailer. However, the high fees for returns and shipping keep it from being one of our top picks (plus it has a slightly smaller inventory than some of the top competitors for Amish furniture).
Cabinfield is an online retailer for Amish furniture that has been around since 2005. The company is family-owned and is partnered with Amish craftsmen in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Cabinfield gets its hand-made furniture directly from the Amish artisans, so you don't have to worry about costly upcharges when they sell to you. Cabinfield doesn't have any costs for maintaining a brick-and-mortar store. Cabinfield's artisans use eco-friendly practices during fabrication. The pieces are made with locally sourced and sustainably harvested wood, and the company uses low-VOC varnish to keep the finish 100% healthy for you. There is also a range of outdoor furniture made with recycled materials for an extra environmentally-friendly bonus.
Tons of inventory to explore
Cabinfield offers a range of furniture items for every part of your space. Whether you want fine furniture to furnish a rustic lodge, or enjoy handmade outdoor experiences (check out the sailing ship and other kids' playground designs), there are plenty of unique finds that can enhance your home. There are over 2,000 beds to choose from (yep, just beds). There are almost 1,000 items to choose from in kitchen items, as well as office furniture, making this one of the larger inventories in our review.
Prices start as low as $302 per item
When we priced out the items at Amish furniture stores, we checked out the price ranges for specific items like bookshelves and coffee tables, and we looked at bedroom sets. This way, you can see how much individual items and a full room of furnishings might cost. Here's what we found at Cabinfield:
Only 7 days to make a return
Cabinfield's shipping is calculated at checkout. For our area, we were quoted $235.77 for standard shipping. When you purchase, you will need to make a 25% deposit. If you have an order with custom changes to the Amish furniture, you'll need to put down a deposit of 50% that is non-refundable after the cancellation period. If you want to cancel your order, you can do so within 1 business day free of charge. If your order is custom, you can only cancel your order if it has not started production yet. Returns at Cabinfield are only offered for products that show visible damage if you want a full refund (without fees or shipping costs). Otherwise, a return for any other reason will incur return shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee (not the same as the deposit amount) and any credit card fees involved in your initial charge. You can't ask to make a return more than 7 days after you've received your delivery.
Not many reviews, but most love the quality
Cabinfield currently holds an "A+" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. However, we struggled to find reviews for this Amish furniture retailer at our normal third-party review sites like Trustpilot. We could only find feedback for Cabinfield on Facebook, where the company had a competitive 4.5 stars, but very few total reviews. There were only 35 customers who left feedback, and these are not as well-vetted and verified as on trusted third-party review sites. In general, customers praised the high quality of the furniture construction, but some customers felt that the long build and shipping times weren't worth the wait. Shipping delays are one of the main complaints (also echoed in feedback on the Better Business Bureau).
Best spot for unique outdoor furniture
Cabinfield has an impressive inventory, with unique outdoor furniture that really stands out from the pack. Seriously, those pirate ship playgrounds are extremely impressive. But, make sure that you know what you're in for in terms of the shipping (long waits) and return costs. If you do get a refund, it will only be partial, since there will be additional restocking fees on top of the taxes and other costs at checkout. With these things in mind, Cabinfield falls below sites that have more customer-friendly refund policies. However, in terms of unique designs, it still stands out from the pack.
DutchCrafters considers itself "the leading retailer" of Amish furniture with both an online presence and furniture showrooms in Sarasota and Alpharetta. The company is known for its solid-wood American-made Amish furniture, and it's been around since 2003. DutchCrafters sources its furniture from Amish country in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, and you can find both ready-made and custom furniture at this retailer. DutchCrafters offers deliveries anywhere within the contiguous 48 US states.
Thousands of items across DutchCrafter's inventory
DutchCrafters currently has a full inventory of Amish furniture with dining room, bedroom, bathroom, living room, office, and outdoor pieces. You can also find handmade décor, items for babies and kids, and entryway items to fill in your entire house with Amish furniture. For popular items like dining tables, you'll find around 94 results, for beds, you'll see around 500 options, and there are almost 500 dressers to look through as well. So, there's a competitive variety depending on the section of the store you browse.
Prices as low as $169 per item
For our Amish furniture price comparison, we checked out the cost of individual items like bookshelves and coffee tables to show you what you can expect across different retailers. For those of you looking for a complete room in one go, we looked at the pricing for complete bedroom sets. Here's what we found at DutchCrafters:
40% off sales, but limited returns
At the time of our review, DutchCrafters had a competitive sale of 40% off sitewide. You can also get free samples (as long as you return them within 30 days) to see wood stains in your home lighting before you buy. When you decide on a stain and product, shipping is $299 as a standard flat rate for any order over $2,000. Some products qualify for free standard shipping, too. However, this price only covers curbside delivery. If you want delivery inside your home, you'll have to pay an extra $200. DutchCrafters does offer a full refund if you cancel your order within 48 hours. This will guarantee all your money back as long as work has not yet begun on your furniture. If it has, there may be a 20% restocking fee subtracted from your refund. Beyond that 48-hour period, DutchCrafters does not accept returns of any kind.
Solid quality, but slow shipping times
DutchCrafters, like many Amish furniture stores, has a full "A+" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. DutchCrafters has more reviews than many of its competitors, too, with a 3.9-star average rating on Yelp. Most of the recent reviews for DutchCrafters were a full 5 stars and praised the customer service representatives at this Amish furniture store. Customers also praised the high-quality finish of the furniture items they ordered. However, there were some complaints about how long it takes to finish and deliver the furniture. Some customers said they waited months for their items to arrive, so you may not want to go with DutchCrafters if you're in a rush.
Look here for competitive sales
DutchCrafters is a solid choice if you want to shop for Amish furniture with competitive sales. However, with no refunds of any kind after you've received your furniture, this site doesn't offer as much help for customers as we've seen at other retailers. While the company has competitive reviews, you might want to keep an eye on shipping times too, as customers who were frustrated with DutchCrafters found the lengthy time before shipping out (even after items were finished) to be a bit of a sticking point. Overall, you can get some good deals on high-quality Amish furniture at DutchCrafters, though, earning it a competitive score in our review.
Amish Furniture Factory is a company that's been around for over 15 years, crafting 100% hand-made Amish furniture. This retailer finds and connects with builders and craftsmen and turns around to share their work with you - there's no showroom. Instead, the items travel directly from the builder to you, so Amish Furniture Factory promises lower prices for the same high-quality Amish furniture you've seen elsewhere. According to our research, their low pricing claims are completely true.
Thousands of items ready to go
Amish Furniture Factory claims to have the "largest Amish furniture collection" available. While it does have a competitive selection of furniture items, we're not sure if it's really the "largest". Whether you want dining, bedroom, office, or living room furniture, there are plenty of items to browse at this retailer. According to our research, there are over 2,000 items available in just the Bedroom category alone. You'll also find 1,600+ items in the Living Room category. Other categories are a little smaller, but still have competitive numbers, like over 760 items in the Kitchen section.
Prices as low as $186 per item
To compare prices at the Amish furniture stores in our research, we looked at similar categories of furniture and their price ranges. For our research, we chose two individual items: bookshelves and coffee tables. We also looked at bedroom sets to see how much it would cost to furnish an entire room. Here's what we found at Amish Furniture Factory:
Costly shipping and limited returns
Amish Furniture Factory offers flat-rate shipping costs for all its Amish furniture. It will cost $199 for curbside delivery and $249 if you want white glove delivery (with indoor drop-off and setup) for your new furniture. As for returns, if you're unhappy with your furniture, you can send it back under certain circumstances, but there are some limitations. You can't make a return based on finish color if you did not request samples beforehand (those are free of charge). Items that have been personalized also aren't eligible for returns. If you're unhappy with your order for other reasons, you can request a return for the furniture within 10 days of receiving it, but you will be required to cover shipping costs back to Amish Furniture Factory, and you won't be refunded for your original shipping fees. You will also have a 30% restocking fee deducted from your final refund amount.
No reviews outside the BBB
Amish Furniture Factory currently holds an "A+" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. However, we struggled to find any reviews on third-party sites. Amish Furniture Factory was not reviewed on Trustpilot or Sitejabber, and we also struggled to find reviews on Yelp or even Google Reviews. We noted a few positive reviews on Facebook, but overall, we'd expect to see more feedback for a 15-year-old furniture store, which raised some questions about how often customers shop at Amish Furniture Factory.
Difficult returns make it less competitive
Amish Furniture Factory has a competitive inventory, and the free option for samples is a great addition to help you preview your new furniture in your home lighting and with other décor. However, the limitations on returns and almost no reviews make this Amish furniture store far less competitive than other sites in our review. You only have 10 days to return your order, and you'll incur costly fees for doing so. For this reason, Amish Furniture Factory earns an average rating rather than a higher score.
Amish Showroom is an Amish furniture store that started out as a lumber provider. The company has been selling lumber to Amish craftsmen for over 16 years from a family tree farm. This turned into new relationships with Amish workshops, and led to Amish Showroom selling their furniture directly to you. You can buy pre-designed items or enjoy custom-built furniture. The best part? Amish Showroom doesn't sell any of its inventory to retail stores. The company only sells "direct to consumer" and offers delivery to the 48 contiguous states.
Almost 2,000 items to choose from in some categories
Amish Showroom offers a collection of dining room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room, office, and "youth" (which includes child bed sets and baby cribs) furniture styles. There's a competitive variety of Amish furniture, including 907 items for the dining room, 1,813 items in bedroom and bedroom sets, and 728 items in living furniture. It has a larger inventory than many of its competitors, so if you're looking for unique pieces, you might like shopping here.
Prices as low as $450 for individual items
To see how different Amish furniture stores stack up in terms of price, we looked at two specific items: bookshelves and coffee tables, to find the price ranges for those. We also researched bedroom sets at each Amish furniture store to see how much it would cost to furnish an entire room. Here's what we found at Amish Showroom:
Interestingly, some of the sets are available only through a call or through the on-site chat where you can get quotes. This can make browsing somewhat frustrating if you're looking for items you can buy right away. Many of the items require more digging or waiting times to price them out (without any ballpark prices listed on the website for those that are "call-for-a-quote").
Extremely limited returns
Amish Showroom lets you choose your level of shipping, including curbside delivery and full service (which includes setup in your home). The curbside option costs $199, and if you want your delivery in-home with setup, the cost is $349. As for returns to Amish Showroom, you'll want to keep a few things in mind: There is a 50% non-refundable deposit required to place an order with this retailer. You also will not be able to make returns based on the color or stain. The company considers furniture to be "artwork", so you should expect natural variation in the design (meaning, this isn't grounds for returns). Returns are only accepted for damaged items, and you need to notify Amish Showroom within 24 hours of the truck leaving your residence, or the company will make you pay for return shipping. You have to report issues immediately upon receiving your Amish furniture, and there wasn't a listed timeline for a return window beyond "report immediately," which was somewhat concerning.
Not enough reviews to gauge its quality
Amish Showroom currently holds an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, we couldn't find reviews for this retailer on our regular third-party review sites like Trustpilot. We did find some reviews on Yelp for this Amish furniture store, but the news wasn't as good. Amish Showroom had a 3-star average out of 5, and with only 2 reviews total, it's hard to say how well this reflects their other customers. One review was just 1 star, where the customer was frustrated that the sales associates were rude and didn't feel she was adequately helped. The other review was 5 stars from someone who bought 28 furniture pieces and loved the level of customization allowed. On the other hand, without further verified third-party reviews, a lot of the possible customer experience at Amish Showroom is a question mark.
If you order, you might be stuck with your furniture
If you're looking for an Amish furniture retailer with easy shopping and helpful customer service policies, Amish Showroom may not be the one for you. On top of offering a more difficult browsing experience due to many of the items only being offered through a call-for-quote process, you may also find the return policy limiting and frustrating. With no clear timelines for returns and lots of reasons to reject your return for a refund, you can pretty much guarantee you'll be keeping your Amish furniture from Amish Showroom (whether you like it or not). For these reasons, Amish Showroom earns a lower overall score in our review.
Countryside Amish Furniture is a family-owned business that sources furniture directly from Amish artisans in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio. Offering a mix of top-notch hardwoods, like North American oak, cherry, maple, and walnut, Countryside Amish Furniture offers a mix of traditional furniture styles along with more contemporary or "shaker-style" designs. Unlike several Amish furniture stores in our review, this retailer doesn't offer fully custom pieces. Instead, you pick from made-to-order options with some customization (like stain or finish), but most of the features are what you see in the original listing image.
Over 300 items in most categories
Countryside Amish Furniture offers furniture pieces for dining rooms, offices, bedrooms, living rooms, outdoor areas, as well as baby furniture and kids furniture. There's a decent number of designs in stock, including over 300 different dining tables, over 150 desks, and over 300+ beds to choose from. However, this is a smaller inventory than we've seen at its competitors.
Prices start at $398 per item
To make sure we compared the prices at Amish furniture stores accurately, we checked out the pricing across specific items like bookshelves and coffee tables to show you what you can expect from single items that are popular purchases. For those of you looking for a complete makeover, we looked at the pricing for complete bedroom sets, too. Here's what we found at Countryside Amish Furniture:
Competitive cost for white-glove shipping, but no returns
Countryside Amish Furniture's shipping is all considered "white glove." So, you don't have to worry about choosing between curbside or getting your furniture delivered to your home, placed properly, and fully assembled. This costs $150 per order, so if you buy multiple furniture items together, the shipping cost remains the same. This is less costly than many Amish furniture stores in our review that offer white-glove shipping. As for returns, it was difficult to find the policy, so we used the customer service chat to find the details: Countryside Amish Furniture does not offer returns of any kind. If you find defects in your furniture, it is protected for replacement or repair by the Countryside Guarantee; however, this guarantee does not cover shipping costs for your replacement if you need one. Further, the warranty will not apply if you don't maintain exactly 35%-45% humidity in your home.
Recent reviews show some quality concerns
Countryside Amish Furniture has an impressive "A+" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. However, like many Amish furniture stores in our review, finding third-party reviews for this retailer is a little difficult. Countryside Amish Furniture is not reviewed on trusted sites like Trustpilot or Sitejabber. While there are a few reviews (just 3) on Yelp, and a few more (4) on Houzz, this doesn't give us a totally clear idea of how many people actually shop with Countryside Amish Furniture. Between the two sites, the overall rating for this retailer is 4.5 stars, but there are some complaints that drawers did not line up, and screws for shelves missing the supports in the wood, causing pieces to be loose or warped. While only a few reviews mentioned serious issues with construction, these were also the most recent reviews for this store.
Too many drawbacks for what it costs
Countryside Amish Furniture can be worth a look, but there are a few drawbacks. First, the costs are notably higher for most furniture pieces here when compared with rivals' pricing. Second, with so few reviews, and the recent ones showing issues with quality and construction, it's not 100% clear if this is a site you want to spend that kind of money on. Finally, with absolutely no recourse for returns outside of the warranty, Countryside Amish Furniture has one of the least customer-friendly policies in our review.
Simply Amish is a company that got its start in the 1970s, when it was almost impossible to find high-quality Amish furniture anywhere but rural areas. The company was founded by Kevin Kauffman and John Mast, who linked a network of traditional Amish workshops with a modern website and distribution system. Now, you can have Amish furniture shipped directly to you. Whether you want bedroom furniture or a unique dining table, you can buy directly with pre-designed items or use the "Style your own" page to create an entirely new design.
Browse, but you might struggle to buy
Simply Amish has all the staples of Amish furniture, including dining room pieces, bedroom pieces, complete living room sets, office furniture, and a collection of outdoor must-haves. This store also has a collection of "express" or quick-ship items, if you want something that doesn't require a lot of custom work, and you need your furniture pronto; however, as we'll explain later, it's more difficult to actually buy the items at Simply Amish. There are over 1,000 items in the dining section and bedroom sections, overall, but it is a smaller inventory than some competitors.
No pricing transparency on the website
For our Amish furniture price comparison across different retailers, we usually looked at the cost of individual pieces like bookshelves and coffee tables as well as pricing on furnishing a full room. However, for all items at Simply Amish, you can't see any pricing. Instead, you have to apply to receive a quote. We tried to do this for several items in our price comparison and did not hear back from Simply Amish within 1 business day.
Lifetime Guarantee for normal wear and tear
Simply Amish leaves you with a similar problem regarding shipping fees. The fees aren't listed and will depend on which local shipping service Simply Amish uses to send your Amish furniture over to you. Shipping costs will be provided at the time you receive your quote. While Simply Amish generally doesn't accept returns of any kind due to everything being made-to-order, the company does offer a Lifetime Guarantee. If your furniture fails during normal household use in the lifetime of the original owner, Simply Amish will replace or repair the item for free. There are a few exceptions, though, which limit the use case of the lifetime warranty. For example, finish color, fabric, and leather are only warrantied for one year. Moving parts in wall beds, desk chairs, and recliners are warrantied for three years.
Mixed reviews about quality
Simply Amish currently has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, like many Amish furniture stores in our review, this retailer does not have any reviews on our normal third-party review sites like Trustpilot and Sitejabber. Instead, we had to rely on feedback from Yelp (though this focused primarily on specific branch locations for Simply Amish). The reviews we found were mostly for the Castleton location. It showed a 3.7-star average rating, which was somewhat lower than we've seen at other Amish furniture stores. Recent reviews were a mix of 5- and 1-star reviews. The 5-star reviews praised the quality and the fact that the prices (for those who received quotes) didn't break the bank when compared to most Amish furniture stores. On the other hand, the 1-star reviews tell a different story. Simply Amish received criticism for extremely long fabrication and shipping times, and when items were delivered many had signs of wear and stains. Others say that the finish wasn't even, and the wood wasn't sanded down properly on several items.
Too hard to get pricing, and unreliable quality
Simply Amish, sadly, just doesn't stack up against more transparent and more reliable Amish furniture stores. With mixed reviews about the furniture quality, it doesn't offer the same peace of mind as our top competitors. On top of that, you can't see any prices until you request a quote (which could take over a day before you finally see the numbers). For these reasons, Simply Amish is our least favorite Amish furniture retailer.

Are you looking to spruce up your home décor, but want something more exciting or original than some of the quick-buy furniture you find at many big-name stores? Amish furniture is a well-respected and top-tier style to look for if you want furniture pieces that really pop.
Amish furniture has a long and respected history rooted in tradition and craftsmanship. For generations, Amish communities have built furniture by hand using woodworking methods passed down through families. Each piece is made from solid wood (often oak, cherry, or maple) and crafted with care rather than mass-produced by machines. The result is furniture that lasts for decades and carries a sense of personality that livens up your home.
You might prefer Amish furniture over more "fast-made" styles because of its quality and unique designs. While many modern pieces are made from composite materials or built for short-term use, Amish furniture is made to stand the test of time. The sturdy construction with real wood, attention to detail (with handmade designs), and natural finishes create pieces that look beautiful and give your space some personality that many flat modern pieces do not.
If you're not sure where to find genuine Amish furniture, don't worry - shopping for Amish furniture has become easier than ever, thanks to online stores where you can browse as many styles and options as you like. You don't need to travel to rural communities (like you might have needed to in the past) or specialty shops to find Amish furniture. You can explore everything from handcrafted dining tables to bedroom sets without leaving your home.
And, while you're paying a bit more for handcrafted quality, you can also find excellent deals at the top Amish furniture retailers. You can expect your new pieces to be more expensive upfront, but online stores often offer discounts, seasonal promotions, or free shipping that help make it more affordable. Because of its lasting quality, Amish furniture is something that will remain reliable and sturdy over the years, and when you shop smart, you can bring home heirloom-quality pieces that fit your style and your budget.

Why is Amish Furniture So Popular?
As you prepare to buy new furnishings for your home, you undoubtedly will come across many Amish-style pieces for the bedroom, living room and other areas of the house. These include hardwood options like dining tables, chairs, end tables, bookshelves, desks, dressers and more. With so many types of Amish furniture available in local stores and online, you can see that Amish furnishings are a popular option. By taking a closer look at why Amish furniture continues to be highly coveted in homes across the country and beyond, you may decide that these are pieces that are perfect for your home.
Premium Materials
Many wood furnishings available in local stores and online today are not actually made out of hardwood. Instead, they are made out of manufactured materials that could include a combination of veneer, fiberboard, particleboard and even plywood. Wood is generally a durable material that can last a lifetime, but this is not the case for the many types of manufactured wood materials. In fact, furnishings made out of these manufactured wood materials may only last a decade or less before they begin to fall apart. Unlike hardwood, the manufactured wood cannot be refinished. As a result, it generally is tossed in the trash when it falls apart.
Amish furnishings are exclusively made out of true hardwoods. Solid red oak and cherry wood are commonly used. Other types of solid wood used in Amish furnishings are hickory, walnut, maple, and white oak. The wood is produced in a sustainable fashion. Because the trees usually grow in a northern climate where the rate of growth is slow, the wood is dense and durable. As a result, Amish furnishings are durable. In fact, they can easily last a lifetime or much longer.
More than that, these are American-made items that are often not created until an order has been placed. Many other furnishings may be assembled on the other side of an ocean. The manufacturing processes can generate unnecessary waste, and shipping may lead to the unnecessary consumption of fossil fuels and the generation of pollutants. Because Amish furniture may not be produced until it is ordered, there is no need for the Amish to maintain a large warehouse. The Amish are able to optimize valuable space strategically.
Handcrafted Quality
The Amish people are known for living simple lives without modern luxuries like electricity. Most of the furnishings that you will find for sale online and in local stores are mass-produced pieces that are quickly made. The manufacturing processes may yield defects, and they can result in weaker and less durable furnishings. The Amish, however, make all of their pieces by hand using many of the same carpentry tools and joinery methods that have been used for generations. While some Amish craftsmen use select power tools for specific tasks, they never mass-produce their work.
One of the unique qualities of Amish furnishings is their lack of nails. Instead, the Amish use various traditional joinery methods that require exceptional craftsmanship. They also utilize non-toxic wood adhesives to ensure the longevity of their artisan furniture.
Low-Maintenance Furnishings
One of the many endearing qualities of Amish furniture is that they require minimal maintenance. Because of the intensive manufacturing processes and the lower-grade materials used in many other types of furnishings, special care may be required to optimize their longevity. However, even with detailed care and frequent attention, the mass-produced furnishings may have a much shorter life.
Because Amish furniture is exclusively made using high-quality hardwood material with handcrafted assembly, it does not have special care requirements. While all furniture needs to be dusted frequently, Amish furniture requires infrequent additional steps to keep it looking great. In fact, polishing it every six months is the only specialized care that may be needed. Because solid hardwood is used, you can expect the material to resist nicks and scratches that may plague soft wood and manufactured wood furnishings. When Amish furniture finally shows signs of age and wear, it can be sanded and refinished to give it a like-new appearance. However, when Amish furniture is well-maintained, refinishing may only be needed once every few decades or less.
Timeless Style
The processes used by Amish people to create their artisan furniture pieces have changed very little. With this in mind, you may assume that the style of current Amish furniture is equivalent to that of modern furnishings. In reality, the style has evolved slowly over time. Today's Amish furniture usually has a Mission or Shaker style. These styles have been prevalent for the last few decades, and this is a sign that they have timeless appeal.
All Amish furniture is made out of solid wood, so the pieces bring a natural element into your space. This natural element may be well-suited for a cottage-style home or a cabin. Likewise, it looks beautiful in homes with traditional décor and even contemporary décor.
While the style of Amish furniture has evolved slowly over time, that does not mean that all Amish furniture looks the same. Because Amish craftsmen use different materials, stains and techniques, each handmade piece is unique. When you invest in Amish furniture, you are buying a one-of-a-kind item. However, do not look for the craftsman's mark. The Amish are humble people who do not seek individual recognition. Instead, they want the focus to be on the fine work that they did to craft the furniture.
Furniture is expensive to purchase, so you understandably want to optimize the life of any furnishings that you decide to invest in. Buying high-quality furniture that can last for decades or longer is only beneficial if these are pieces that will still be aesthetically appealing many years down the road. Because Amish furniture has a timeless, classic look that corresponds well with many interior design schemes, the furniture likely will be a treasured part of your home décor for a lifetime.
Family Heirlooms
In many families, certain heirlooms have been handed down for generations, and this includes furniture. While many of the current furnishings that you find in local stores today will not still be in use a decade or two from now, older pieces that have been handcrafted from quality materials may be a century old or even older. The Amish continue to use the same artisan techniques that they have used for generations. These are techniques that have been taught by elders and that have evolved very little over the decades. Because of this, when you buy Amish furniture, you are buying furniture that has the same quality as yesteryear's pieces.
Of course, many older items get tossed out because they lose their appeal. Even if a dresser, table or another piece of furniture is still in good shape, it may have an outdated look that makes it undesirable. Amish furniture has a charm that is sustained over the years. These are pieces that may look just as wonderful in a home today as they will look decades from now. Because Amish furniture continues to be desired over the years, you can realistically plan on the furniture to become family heirlooms.
True Value
Are Amish furnishings right for your home? You will undoubtedly notice that Amish furniture is priced slightly higher than some of the other lower-quality furniture that has been mass-produced. However, you can see that each Amish furnishing is instilled with true value and is an investment well worth making. With variations in style and materials, now is the perfect time to begin exploring the beautiful possibilities that are available for your home. An easy way to compare a wide variety of Amish pieces is by shopping online.
