Arthritis is a medical condition that causes inflammation and stiffness in the joints. It is a common problem affecting millions of people worldwide. Arthritis is not a single disease but a group of diseases that affect the joints and cause pain, swelling, and stiffness. The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and gout.
Osteoarthritis is the most frequent arthritis diagnosis, occurring when the cartilage between the bones in a joint breaks down. This causes the bones to rub against each other, leading to pain and stiffness. Rheumatoid arthritis, on the other hand, is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks the joints, causing inflammation and pain. Gout is a type of arthritis that occurs when there is a buildup of uric acid in the body, leading to the formation of crystals in the joints, causing severe pain.

Voltaren is a brand name for a medication called diclofenac, which belongs to a class of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It's used to deal with the pain, inflammation, and stiffness caused by various conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. A product of GlaxoSmithKline, Voltaren is available in different forms, including tablets, capsules, topical gels and patches, and injections.
Prostaglandin-blocker
The active ingredient in Voltaren, diclofenac, works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. By reducing the production of prostaglandins, Voltaren can help to relieve pain and inflammation associated with arthritis and other conditions.
Prescription-based option now available OTC
Voltaren is available by prescription and over-the-counter, depending on the form and strength of the medication. The topical gels and patches are available over-the-counter, while the tablets, capsules, and injections are available only with a prescription from a healthcare provider. When you buy it OTC, expect Voltaren cream to be affordably-priced, usually around $26 for two 3.5oz tubes.
Use for up to 21 days
So, how do you use Voltaren? The product recommendation is four times a day, every day, for up to 21 days. The maker says you could start to feel relief within a day or two, with the most significant benefits showing up around the 7-day mark. The product comes with a dosing card so that you can measure out the appropriate amount, and you should only use it on 1-2 body areas at a time. You may also want to wear gloves when you apply Voltaren, because it's definitely not something you want to get in your eyes.
Some side effects are possible
It is important to use Voltaren as directed by a healthcare provider or as instructed on the product label. Like many health products, Voltaren can come with side effects, including stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It can also increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other serious cardiovascular events, especially in people with a history of heart disease or risk factors for heart disease. However, the ingredients of Voltaren have been studied extensively and used safely for a long time, and very few people ever have an issue worth noting, let alone one that causes any significant problems.
Extremely effective
The big question on your mind is probably "Does Voltaren work?” For most people, the answer is an enthusiastic "Yes!” Over 30,000 users have given this arthritis relief product a perfect five-star rating. Many reviews say that this is the only product that has ever worked to take away the pain in their joints, when even prescription medications have failed.
Fast acting
Several patients said that they got relief in just a few hours, not having to wait the 7-day period the makers of Voltaren tell you to expect. For a large number of Voltaren users, this product is nothing short of miraculous. The only caveat is that you have to be diligent about applying it four times a day; some comments said that if they missed even one application, the pain came back quickly.
Risk-free to try
As a GlaxoSmithKline product, Voltaren comes with a 45-day satisfaction guarantee. Notify the company within that timeframe to get a full refund. Just be aware that you have to buy the product from an authorized seller in order to qualify.
Top product for arthritis relief
From what we found, Voltaren is safe, effective, and affordable. It can help you get past the pain of arthritis and back to feeling like yourself again. For anyone with arthritis, there's no product we recommend more highly than Voltaren.
Since 2012, Bodymune has been implementing ancient knowledge and wisdom about natural ingredients to deliver high-quality, all-organic supplements for a variety of health concerns and conditions. Everything they sell is manufactured in Seattle at their USDA Certified Organic facility.
So many ingredients
Bodymune puts a lot of those all-natural, organic ingredients to work in its JointRelief capsules. These include:
The product info doesn't go into detail about how they work together to improve joint health, but you'll recognize those ingredients as being fairly common in all-natural arthritis relief supplements. For maximum benefit, take JointRelief with a glass of water (not smoothies, coffee, or any other beverage) and try to allow for a gap of at least 10 minutes before (or after) you eat. That lets you get the most "beneficial synergistic effect” from JointRelief's ingredients.
Two months of relief for under $35
One good reason to try JointRelief is the price. Since you only have to take one capsule per day, a 60-bottle supply lasts two months (though Bodymune recommends that you try taking it twice a day if you have "severe and persistent inflammation”). So, for $32.36, you get up to two months of arthritis relief with this supplement.
No questions asked with 30-day refund policy
On top of that, Bodymune's return policy is more generous than some of its rivals'. You'll get 30 days to give it a try and see if JointRelief helps your symptoms. If not, simply contact the company's customer service to get your money back, no questions asked. You might not even have to send the unused capsules back - but if you do, Bodymune will give you a no-cost return shipping label. We love that.
Works well for lots of people
So far so good, but does JointRelief work? According to the hundreds of people who've given it a 4- or 5-star rating, yes. From arthritic knees to hands and shoulders, many users of this supplement describe it as a product that returned their mobility to them. Better yet, some customers noticed results in just a few days. Naturally, there's no arthritis product that works for every patient, and JointRelief has its share of people who didn't see any significant improvements in their arthritis when using it.
Strong choice
We can't think of a single reason not to try JointRelief. It's affordable, effective, and unlikely to interact with any other over-the-counter or prescription medications you may already be taking. There's no promise that it will relieve your arthritis pain, but you're protected by a solid refund policy on a supplement that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to begin with. JointRelief is one of the first products we'd try when looking for a new approach to arthritis pain.
Healing Natural Oils offers a reliable solution for arthritis sufferers who prefer not to take supplements orally. The company's H-Arthritis formula is a topical product that can be applied directly to affected areas up to three times per day. If you're looking for a natural, non-pill-based solution to your arthritis pain, H-Arthritis might be just the product you're looking for.
All-natural ingredients
One of the benefits of H-Arthritis is that it contains only natural ingredients. The formula includes well-known botanicals such as Arnica, Apium graveolens, Boswellia, Juniper, Lavender, Black Pepper, Thyme, and Corylus avellana nut oil. These ingredients have been selected for their pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. For example, Arnica is a well-known muscular tonic that is commonly used to soothe muscle pain and soreness. Boswellia has anti-inflammatory properties that may help to reduce swelling and inflammation in the joints. Black Pepper has analgesic properties, while Juniper and Thyme are natural pain relievers.
Easy to apply, not overly expensive
The H-Arthritis formula is designed to be easy to use. Simply apply a small amount of the oil directly to the affected area up to three times per day. Healing Natural Oils recommends using the product in conjunction with their H-Joint and Muscle Formula for even greater relief. The H-Arthritis formula comes in two sizes: 11 mL ($34.95) and 33 mL ($69.95). Depending on your needs, you can choose the size that's right for you. If your order is over $49, you'll get free shipping. You might also spot a pop-up as you browse the site, offering you a $5 discount on your first order if you sign up for HNO's Healthy Living community newsletter.
Excellent satisfaction guarantee
One of the standout features of Healing Natural Oils is its 90-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can return any used-or-unused bottles within 90 days for a full refund. This guarantee is a testament to the company's commitment to its customers. Healing Natural Oils has also earned accreditation and an "A+" rating with the Better Business Bureau, further proof of the company's dedication to customer satisfaction.
Reviews are limited but very positive
On the Healing Natural Oils website, H-Arthritis has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from users. Of the 68 reviews on the site, no one gave the product anything less than three stars, and almost all ratings were a perfect five stars. A handful of customers said that the formula did not drastically alleviate their arthritis pain, but acknowledged that everyone's body will respond differently.
A good product backed by a reliable company
It's worth noting that H-Arthritis is not a cure for arthritis, nor does it address every aspect of the condition. However, it may help to relieve pain and inflammation associated with arthritis. If you're someone who prefers a non-pill-based solution to your arthritis pain, H-Arthritis could be a good option for you. With its natural ingredients and customer-friendly money-back guarantee, Healing Natural Oils is a trusted supplier of all-natural products for arthritis and other conditions.
JointEase Plus by Native Remedies is an all-natural supplement that comes in capsule form, aimed at promoting healthy cartilage and connective tissues, enhancing flexibility in muscles and joints, and providing relief for arthritis symptoms. The product contains three primary ingredients, namely Glucosamine Sulfate, Devil's Claw Root, and Boswellia Gum, each with a long history of traditional use for joint health and inflammation reduction.
3 main ingredients
How do the ingredients of JointEase Plus work? Glucosamine Sulfate is a vital component of joint cartilage and has been shown to be an effective choice for maintaining healthy joints. It is derived from shellfish, crabs, and oysters and has been used for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Devil's Claw Root is native to the Kalahari Desert and is well-known for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It's a popular herbal remedy in Europe for joint pain, arthritis, and other inflammatory conditions. Boswellia Gum, also known as Indian Frankincense, has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries to promote joint health and reduce inflammation.
Higher recommended dosage in the first few weeks
JointEase Plus is designed to provide optimal relief for arthritis symptoms, especially during the first 3-5 weeks of use. During this period, the manufacturer recommends taking two capsules three times per day after meals. Once this period is over, the dosage is reduced to one capsule twice a day, making a bottle last for a full month. However, the high recommended dosage during the initial period makes JointEase Plus more expensive than other supplements in the market when you're paying $39.95 for a bottle of 60 (and you'll need three bottles to cover that first month).
Don't miss out on discounts
Fortunately, if you're considering buying JointEase Plus, Native Remedies offers several ways to save money. First, you can sign up for their email newsletter and receive 15% off and free shipping on your first order. Additionally, many of their products, including JointEase Plus, are frequently offered as a Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal, and that applies to any combination of Native Remedies' products you'd like to try. Finally, the Auto Delivery Service offers automatic restocking of your JointEase, free shipping, and a 15% discount.
Where did the comments go?
JointEase Plus has had more customer ratings since our last evaluation, but there are still only a little over two dozen on the Native Remedies site. Oddy enough, the associated reviews are no longer visible there - you can only see the total number and the average of approximately 4.2 stars out of 5. Okay then.
Unparalleled 1-year return window
There's no need to worry, though: Native Remedies offers a 1-year guarantee on all of its products, including JointEase Plus. If you try the product for at least 30 days and it doesn't provide the desired results, you can return it for a full refund. Silver Star Brands, the parent company of Native Remedies, has an "A+" rating with the Better Business Bureau and has been in business for over 80 years, giving customers even more peace of mind.
Not a bad option for arthritis pain
JointEase Plus is a suitable option if you want an all-natural supplement for arthritis relief. Since it only uses three active ingredients, it poses a lower risk of interaction with other medications. If you can handle paying over $100 to give it a try at the initial recommended dosage (knowing that you can get your money back if needed), JointEase Plus is a decent option among all-natural arthritis relief products.
Native Remedies is a company that provides natural products for various health conditions. They have been in business for almost 90 years and are a part of the Silver Star Brands family. InflammaGo is one of two products in our review that are offered by Native Remedies for fighting arthritis symptoms. Although it is not specifically designed for arthritis, this homeopathic medicine can relieve inflammation, joint pain, and stiffness that you might be feeling.
5 anti-inflammatory ingredients
What's in InflammaGo? Its key ingredients include Arnica, Berberis, Bryonia, Dulcamara, and Rhus tox. Arnica is known for its ability to speed up recovery and healing, effective for sprains, strains, and bruises. Berberis is a pain reliever, and Bryonia is used to deal with injuries that hurt when you move. Dulcamara targets joint stiffness, especially when it is cold outside, and Rhus tox helps with the kind of pain that is more intense in cold weather too.
Mix with water/juice or drop directly in your mouth
InflammaGo is taken by mixing 0.5 mL in water or juice, then sipping it slowly. If you prefer, the drops can be taken directly in the mouth without mixing. You can safely use this arthritis relief liquid 3-5 times daily as needed. One bottle of InflammaGo can last for around 30 days, depending on how often you use it.
It's easy to save money here
Customers who sign up for Native Remedies' email newsletter can save 15% on their order and receive free shipping. The company also offers a Buy 2 Get 1 Free program that applies to most of their products, including InflammaGo. You can use this promotion to build up your supply of this arthritis remedy or mix-and-match with supplements that target other health conditions. Customers can also take advantage of the Auto Delivery Service option, which gives a 15% discount and free shipping on products that are delivered automatically.
Occasional promotions
Additionally, Native Remedies frequently offers promotions such as a 10% discount and free economy shipping on orders over $49 or a 20% discount and free expedited shipping on orders over $99. If you see it, take a peek at the green scrolling banner at the top of the site to see if there are any promotions available when you're shopping the Native Remedies site.
Not many customer ratings, but refund policy is fantastic
Although there are only a few customer comments on InflammaGo, they are all positive. Patients have reported getting relief from aches and pains within a few weeks of using the product. We'd love to see more reviews, of course, to be able to boost this product in our rankings - largely because the company is so easy to like. The Better Business Bureau continues to give Native Remedies its highest rating and accreditation, and customers are crazy about the 365-day satisfaction policy on all products. Yes, that means you can use up an entire bottle of InflammaGo, as quickly or slowly as you like, and request a refund within a year if it doesn't improve your arthritis symptoms.
Try it in addition to other products
Native Remedies is a trusted supplier of natural products for various health conditions, and InflammaGo can relieve arthritis symptoms that are related to swelling in the joints. However, because it does not address other aspects of arthritis such as joint and cartilage health, you may need to pair this product with others (either within the Native Remedies line or from another manufacturer) to get true relief. It's risk-free to give InflammaGo a try with the one-year refund policy, so put it on your list of options.
Not Just Joints is an arthritis relief product offered by Xtend-Life, a New Zealand-based company that specializes in producing a range of health supplements and skincare products. They have been in business since 2000 and have gained a reputation for using high-quality ingredients, as well as for their commitment to ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Well-researched ingredients
So, what's in Not Just Joints? We'll give you the ingredients list, but we encourage you to click over to the product page, where Xtend-Life has links for each component that show you how it works to relieve your arthritis symptoms (including clinical studies and research, where available). Here's what makes up this supplement:
You should be aware that Not Just Joints is gluten-, soy-, dairy-, and peanut-free, but it does have some ingredients derived from eggs, beef, and shellfish.
Almost $90/month
When you subscribe to the Xtend-Life newsletter, you can save 10% on your order. Just watch for the pop-up as you browse the site. You're going to want all the savings you can get, because Not Just Joints is priced at $44.95 - for just a 15-day supply. Even though the bottle comes with 90 tablets, you're taking 6 a day (either all at once in the morning or split up into 3/3 in the AM and PM). Wow. You may want to place an order that crosses the $125 threshold to get free DHL shipping too, whether that's with three bottles of Not Just Joints or adding in another Xtend-Life supplement to try.
One-year guarantee... sort of
Not Just Joints - and all Xtend-Life products - are backed by a 365-day satisfaction guarantee. That sounds pretty amazing but there are some stipulations that make it a little less so. First off, you'll be responsible for the return shipping costs to New Zealand on any opened or used bottles. Also, you can only get a refund for one opened bottle of Not Just Joints: so really, your return period only covers however long it takes you to use up a single container, though you have a full year to ask for your money back.
Some very loyal users
Is it worth a try? It could be. There were a little over 50 reviews on Not Just Joints' product page, and 44 of them give this arthritis relief product a flawless five-star score. Most compelling are the reviews from long-term customers who say that NJJ absolutely delivers what it promises. If you're at the end of your rope and nothing else has helped your arthritis, Not Just Joints might be worth the investment.
Good - but spendy
Overall, Xtend-Life has a strong reputation for quality supplements, and Not Just Joints gets good feedback from its users. However, at a price at nearly $90 per month (not factoring in shipping costs) and all of the challenges that come with a satisfaction guarantee offered by an overseas business, this arthritis option might be best held in reserve as a backup if you don't get the relief you need from one of our closer-to-home products.
Owell Naturals Pain Relief Ointment has been used for decades to relieve pain, soothe inflammation, and help wounds heal. Made in the USA, this product is supposedly "doctor recommended” and comes from "Amish origins”, but that could just be part of the marketing plan (*wink wink*). It's a decent option if you prefer topical arthritis relief products over those that you have to swallow.
Almost a dozen ingredients
There are 11 "natural and powerful” pain-relieving ingredients in Owell Naturals' Pain Relief Ointment. These include menthol, hybrid safflower, sunflower, aloe vera, beeswax, castor oil, methyl salicylate, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, cinnamomum, camphora bark oil, and abies sibirica needle oil. (That list from the product image is also a little different from the ingredients on the product page itself, so we advise that you check both lists to make sure there's nothing you're allergic to.) The company doesn't go into any details about how this combination works to deliver arthritis relief, so you'll have to take their word for it.
Lots of five-star reviews
Or, take a look at what customers have said about this Pain Relief Ointment: over 1,000 people have given it a five-star rating. For those who are loyal fans of Owell Naturals' product, they say it takes the edge off their pain. You can search for "arthritis” as a keyword within those reviews and see that lots of people have gotten relief when using this multi-purpose ointment.
Under $20 for many, many uses
"A little goes a long way” is another frequent sentiment, so you can expect to get your money's worth here when a 7 fl.oz jar is less than $20. You apply it topically as needed, and we don't imagine that most people are going through a whole jar in a month. Your mileage may vary.
Not the neatest product to apply
On the other hand, some users would warn you that this stuff is greasy, has a strong smell, and might stain your clothes. How far are you willing to go to get pain relief? That's up to you, so be aware of the downsides to this Owell Naturals remedy. (Some people even compared this product to VapoRub, if that helps you get a clearer mental image.)
Not very risky to give it a try
We'd love to see a little more information from Owell Naturals (or Amish Origins, whoever is actually behind this product), including some kind of satisfaction guarantee and details about how the ingredients work. At $19.98, you're not exactly risking your life's savings if you give this Pain Relief Ointment a shot. Just don't expect it to be an option that really targets your arthritis symptoms - after all, this is a multi-purpose remedy that might or might not work for you too.
Green Organic Supplements is the maker of Joint Builder, an arthritis relief product that comes in capsule form and that tries to minimize your body's inflammatory response, boost the formation of cartilage, and promote joint lubrication. Everything offered by Green Organic is, well, organic -hand-made in their own facility in the US, manufactured in small batches for optimal quality, with no fillers or preservatives.
Check out the long list of ingredients
So, what's in Joint Builder? The ingredients list is extensive, but unfortunately since our last review Green Organic has dropped the explanations for how each one works to deliver arthritis relief. Here's what you'll get in each capsule:
How much should you take?
Let's talk about Joint Builder's dosage instructions. They're a little... shall we say, vague. The label simply says "take 4 to 8 capsules a day," without any guidance on how long you should be taking that increased dosage. This is in contrast to other products in our review that provide clear directions on dosage introduction periods.
A bottle only lasts 11 days?!
To make matters worse, let's do some quick math. If you're following the "8 capsules per day" recommendation, one bottle will only last you a measly 11 days. Ouch. At a per-bottle price of $29.98, you'd be shelling out almost $90 a month just to keep up with the suggested dosage. You can get a discount ranging from 10-15% if you buy 2 or more bottles at a time, but that's still a pretty hefty cost for arthritis relief.
Lots of praise for the company, not much for the arthritis product
It might be worth it if Joint Builder was some kind of miracle product. However, there's only one customer review on the Green Organic product page. We're happy that the company gets positive feedback overall, with an "A” rating from the Better Business Bureau and an average of 4.8 out of 5 stars across 600+ shopper reviews. Green Organic seems to have many loyal customers who have used their other supplements faithfully for years.
No returns if you try it and don't like it
But, that's not quite enough to move the needle on an expensive arthritis product that doesn't come with a satisfaction guarantee: Green Organic only allows returns of unopened products for a refund. Granted, $29.98 isn't so far out there that you couldn't give it a try, but the company doesn't tell you how long you'd have to take the supplement to see results. Is it at the 4-capsules-daily dosage? Or 8? Will you see results after just one bottle? It's anyone's best guess.
Try something else first
If you don't mind risking a bit of money on an all-organic product, Joint Builder might be worth a try if you haven't experienced relief from your arthritis symptoms with any other remedy. Otherwise, you may want to take a pass on Green Organic Supplements and check out the higher-ranked arthritis products first.
Do you suffer from creaky joints and achy bones? Joint Advance is the magical mystery tablet that promises to relieve your arthritis pain. It contains Glucosamine Complex, MSM, Chondroitin Sulfate, Ginger, Vitamin C, and White Willow Bar in undisclosed amounts. It seems that no one knows how much of each component is really in there or how much you should take, but who cares? Just pop a few and hope for the best!
So much for getting a free bottle
Are you getting the impression that Joint Advance isn't exactly the most reputable product on the market? No matter how many times we've evaluated this arthritis relief product, the result is the same. It starts out sketchy, right from the offer of a free bottle that isn't actually free. When you try to claim your "free bottle", you'll be redirected to a payment page with prices for a 1-month, 3-month, or 6-month supply - and zero option for a single free bottle. Evidently the makers of Buy Health hope you will just throw caution to the wind and empty your wallet, because you'll pay $47.95 plus $6.95 shipping just to try one bottle - and, PS, that enrolls you in a monthly subscription too. Yes, you could decide to Buy 2 Get 1 Free at $79.90 or Buy 3 Get 3 Free for $179.95, but we wouldn't recommend it.
Failing grade
Buy Health is the company behind this arthritis relief product (and several other supplements we've evaluated for other conditions). Unfortunately, they've been given an "F" grade by the Better Business Bureau. Unanswered complaints, shady advertising, and impossible-to-reach customer service are just the tip of the iceberg.
Don't expect to speak to anyone
As for offering a 90-day money back guarantee - you'll only get a refund on unopened items. Assuming you can actually reach anyone at Buy Health, that is. The toll-free number at the bottom of the page took us to a company that came up as "Breast Actives” (!) and told us "goodbye” before ever connecting us.
Avoid this product - and company
So, take a gamble and cross your fingers that Joint Advance works for you, because once you've made your purchase, you're stuck with it. Not only will you not get your money back, you may be trapped in a recurring subscription that you can only get out of by disputing the charge with your credit card company. As if dealing with arthritis pain wasn't enough already. Fortunately, there are plenty of reputable companies in our review with products that actually work.
There are several over-the-counter options available for arthritis relief. These products are easily accessible and can be purchased without a prescription. However, it is important to note that these formulas are not a cure for arthritis and should not be used as a substitute for medical diagnosis.
One of the most common over-the-counter products for arthritis relief is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs work by reducing inflammation and relieving pain. Common NSAIDs include ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin. These drugs can be purchased over-the-counter and are available in different forms such as tablets, capsules, and creams. However, long-term use of NSAIDs can cause stomach problems such as ulcers and bleeding. Therefore, it is important to take NSAIDs as directed and only for short periods.
Another over-the-counter option for arthritis relief is acetaminophen. Acetaminophen is a pain reliever that is available without a prescription. It is often used to deal with mild to moderate pain associated with arthritis. Unlike NSAIDs, acetaminophen does not reduce inflammation. Therefore, it is not effective in fighting the underlying cause of arthritis. Acetaminophen should be taken as directed, as overdose can cause liver damage.
Topical creams and ointments can also be used to relieve arthritis pain. These products contain ingredients such as capsaicin, menthol, and salicylates. They work by numbing the nerves in the affected area, providing temporary pain relief. Topical creams and ointments can be applied directly to the affected area and are generally considered safe. However, they should not be used on broken skin or on skin that is irritated.
Supplements such as glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are also commonly used for arthritis relief. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are natural substances found in the body that are involved in the formation of cartilage. It is believed that these supplements may help to reduce inflammation and protect the joints. However, the effectiveness of these supplements and other natural remedies is still a subject of debate, and more research is needed to determine their efficacy.
Confused yet? That's understandable. Keep these factors in mind as you decide which products you want to try for arthritis relief:
