You can also just do a quick search for exactly what you want or use their product categories to narrow down their inventory. The website is extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate.
Local store pickup
Advance Auto Parts can certainly deliver your order to wherever you may be. However, if you want your auto parts even faster, you can pick up your parts in one of their local stores. Simply view the locations of their 5,200 brick-and-mortar stores and find the Advance Auto Parts nearest you to get your parts in 30 minutes or less. If this still isn't enough to prove the ease of buying through Advance Auto Parts, they also have same-day delivery in some areas, allowing you to get your auto parts dropped off to your house by 8 pm. Shipping prices are determined based on the dollar amount spent, weight, and length of auto parts. The only way to qualify for free shipping through Pep Boys is if customers spend over $75, have their product weigh less than 75 lbs., and measure smaller than 130". Some customers will remember them for their legendary catalogs they used to print and distribute through homes across the U.S. They used to be a more widely recognized brand until it was sold by the original owner's family in 2002 and the company started going downhill. In 2010, it was purchased by U.S. Auto Parts, and has not lived up to the hype and reputation it did in its earlier years.
Huge inventory of auto parts
JC Whitney has a warehouse of over 1.2 million products that is enough to supply parts for over 25 million vehicles. Over 100,000 accessories are available for purchase through JC Whitney, making them not only one of the oldest, but one of the most inventory-heavy companies we have found.
You'll likely find that the prices at JC Whitney are quite affordable. Even so, they have a price match policy in case a customer finds one of their products for a lower price with a competitor. All it takes is a correspondence with customer service about the competing product and JC Whitney will lower their price to match it. JC Whitney boasts that many of their items are already marked over 50% lower than what you'll find at any other store.
Varying return policies
Certain products listed on the JC Whitney site carry a 90-day return policy. For most products, customers have 30 days to make returns and receive a full refund. Any used products or non-returnable products, as specified on the JC Whitney website refund page, are not eligible for refunds regardless of their condition. For questions on return policies or any other topic, customers can either chat with customer service over the phone, fill out a contact form, or do a live chat online.
Customer feedback concerns
The Better Business Bureau gives JC Whitney an A+ rating for their services. This was somewhat surprising considering a slew of negative feedback on purchases over the last few years reported by customers. Most reports are of slow shipping times, part mix-ups, and poor attitudes received from customer service reps. We want to give JC Whitney a higher rating based on their wide selection of inventory, years in business, and inexpensive pricing, but the customer feedback has us concerned. They have earned an average ranking among other online auto part retailers.
Get All Parts is a newer company, established in 2010 and that only sells aftermarket parts rather than OEM parts. Like many of their competitors, Get All Parts sells both interior and exterior auto parts as well as fluids and accessories for maintenance. By submitting your vehicle year, make, and model in a form on the home page, Get All Parts can narrow down a list of products that will work for your specific vehicle.
Prices for the aftermarket inventory sold through Get All Parts are competitive. With their price match guarantee, customers can do a little extra work to ensure they are getting the best deal for whatever they may be looking to purchase. By notifying customer service with evidence of a web address featuring the competitor's cheaper product, customer service will apply a price discount to the order.
Customers have 60 days to return any new, unused items to Get All Parts should they decide they don't need or want them. All products come with a five-year limited warranty and a four step process for submitting claims:

Auto Barn started out in Brooklyn, NY as an auto parts store and has since expanded with their online presence. We like to see businesses who reward their customers for making bigger orders since sometimes these types of purchases can be costly. Free shipping is given for orders of $69 or more. If a purchase is made for less than $69, shipping is a flat-rate cost of $8.00. Something to note is that some customers report really slow shipping times from Auto Barn due to slow order processing.
Once orders have been placed, the amount of time it takes to get them processed depends on product availability. If products are in stock, they usually take 1-2 days to prepare for shipment and an additional 1-5 days for shipping. If you have questions about the status of your order, we suggest reaching out to customer service. To do this, an online contact form is provided and an Auto Barn representative will reply within 1 business day. Other options are to call Auto Barn directly with the toll free number provided on the website.
30 days for returns
Inventory can be returned to Auto Barn within 30 days of receipt of order. Before sending anything back, customers will need to complete an online form called a "return authorization" for customer service to review. If they don't, it will delay processing and the return is subject to a 20% restocking fee. This same restocking fee might also be charged if the return is received by Auto Barn in less than new condition and is un-resellable. Some customers have reported having to jump through hoops to get refunds and/or exchanges for incorrect parts they received.
Hit and miss
Auto Barn receives an A- rating by the Better Business Bureau, which is overall better than some individual customer feedback they receive. Customers report receiving parts that don't fit their vehicles, as well as having issues with Auto Barn's customer service being unhelpful. This is not to say that people haven't had good experiences here, because there are reports of customers who were happy with the fair pricing, smooth delivery, and vast selection of auto parts. Basically, it seems that Auto Barn is hit and miss as far as parts fitting and shipping and return processes. Frustrating user experinece
Auto Parts Warehouse likely has just about every auto part you might be looking for listed on their website. However, navigating the website and the way information is displayed isn't the most appealing experience. Big blocks of wordy text appear at the bottom of the home page, likely as an SEO attempt that most website visitors would not want to read. Luckily there is a search function for finding specific parts, because the categories and subcategories listed could get overwhelming.
Free shipping on orders over $50
Auto Parts Warehouse offers free shipping when customers spend over $50, which we like to see. However, at the time of this review, they were not running any sales or sitewide discounts on their inventory. They also did not have any clearance or coupon pages like some of their competitors do. At the bottom of the Auto Parts Warehouse home page they have a "Lowest Prices Guaranteed" statement followed by an asterisk. Nowhere does it go into detail about what this means, whether it be a price matching policy or wholesale pricing.
20% restocking fee on returns
If customers find that they ordered the wrong parts or felt unsatisfied for any reason, they have 30 calendar days after receiving the product(s) to send it back for a return. All items for return must be unused and in their original condition. Return credits are usually applied within 2-7 days. Keep in mind that customers are charged a 20% restocking fee for any returns that are not a result of an error made by Auto Parts Warehouse. In addition, shoppers are responsible for shipping charges.
Negative cusomter experiences
The Better Business Bureau gives Auto Parts Warehouse a C rating, which is lower than we would like. Since it appears that Auto Parts Warehouse drop ships their products, customers have often reported receiving only part of an order or incorrect items. Other complaints have included issues with customer service and problems with payments and refunds. The slew of negativity from recent customer purchases makes us uncomfortable recommending Auto Parts Warehouse as a reliable place to buy auto parts.
Car Parts supplies over a million auto parts for vehicles ranging from 1980 to the present year. From the interior to the exterior, they have just about every fitted car part imaginable. Customers can use the search bar function to find what they are looking for, or provide their vehicle year, make, and model information for a narrower product list. However, some customers report being shown car parts for their specific vehicle that don't actually fit and having to go through the hassle of returning the part after it was purchased.
Low price guarantee
Car Parts has a low price guarantee that allows customers to get the lowest price on a product that is also sold by competitors. A phone number is provided for customers to call in and alert Car Parts of a new product they have found made by the same manufacturer advertised at a lower price. On the spot, Car Parts claims they will beat or match the price of competing products.
90 day return policy
A 90-day return policy is in place that allows products to be sent back in their original condition with all their components. Customers must either file online or call the returns department to initiate a return. Refunds are typically processed within 24-48 hours on the payment method customers used to buy the product. Customers are responsible for paying return shipping unless there was an error made by Car Parts that caused the need for the return.
At the time of this review, a "Write-A-Review Sweepstakes" was going on where customers were entered to win a $500 shopping spree if they left a product review. We like the idea of this because it tells us that Car Parts stands behind their product quality and aren't afraid of their customer feedback. It is helpful to see honest customer reviews on the products listed on the Car Parts website to get a better idea of whether or not a part will be a smart purchase or not.
Complaints, complaints, complaints
We were disappointed to find that Car Parts has a D+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Common complaints include receiving the wrong car parts, difficulties receiving refunds for returned parts, and misleading product descriptions. The amount of feedback regarding these issues makes us unwilling to suggest Car Parts as a good option for purchasing vehicle parts. For a more reliable, smooth experience, we recommend shopping at one of our higher-rated auto parts sites.
Parts Geek was founded in 2008 and offers both OEM and after-market auto parts. If the online browsing experience is important to you, shopping at Parts Geek might be painful. Their website looks as if it has not been updated since the 90's with text-heavy pages, lack of helpful search categories, and a distracting layout. Their website needs a major overhaul to compete with other auto parts retailers that make it easy to find the auto parts customers are looking for.
Disappointing inventory, questionable pricing
We noticed while browsing their inventory that they don't seem to have a wide selection of items for vehicles made within the last few years. Their inventory definitely doesn't seem to be as complete as some of their competing auto part suppliers.
Parts Geek boasts that they "scour the web" to make sure they always have low prices. This may be true, but if they were really dedicated to low prices, they would have a low price guarantee like their competitors do. If they have the parts someone is looking for, they can get them price matched at one of our higher-rated sites and buy from a company that presents themselves more professionally.
Frustrating return process
The Better Business Bureau gives Parts Geek an A- rating. Many customers report fast shipping and satisfaction with the order they receive. However, the negative feedback given by customers usually revolves around issues with returns and the complicated process it turns out to be. This includes not having return shipping paid for when Parts Geek sends the wrong part, stubborn customer service representatives, and difficulties getting accepted for a refund.
The return policy at Parts Geek requires an RMA number for all items being sent back. Customers have 30 days to request an RMA number through the website and get their products shipped back. This is a pretty standard procedure, but the part that really gets us is the return shipping. Regardless of the party at fault for the return, the customer is responsible for paying shipping costs. This means if Parts Geek sends you a part entirely different from what you ordered, you will be the one footing the bill to send it back to them. In addition, if you receive an order with missing pieces, Parts Geek says you'll need to either return your entire order or purchase the missing pieces elsewhere. Are you kidding?
Buy at your own risk
Parts Geek may offer the parts you need at an affordable price, but this is also the case with our higher-rated auto part suppliers. We suggest using one of them for a better online shopping experience and return policy should you need to use it. Parts Geek has earned our lowest rating among auto part suppliers.
