The company is American-owned and operated, and it has tons of individual parts, even for complex jobs like working on exhaust manifolds. Buy Auto Parts is a wholesale auto parts store and includes OEM car parts in its inventory. You can get performance gear as well if you're looking to upgrade your car like your favorite YouTuber. However, if you're looking for basic maintenance like motor oil, you might be disappointed, and you may feel similarly if you're looking for tools too.
Somewhat limited selection for our test car
Buy Auto Parts lets you browse by brand and make, or if you just want the guaranteed items for your vehicle, you can put in the details for year, make, and model to find matches. When you enter your car's info, you will be asked if you want to shop for a specific part or category. You will need to make a selection to move forward. However, for our test vehicle (a 2025 Toyota Camry), there were only four categories to consider: AC, air and fuel delivery, brake, and exhaust. As for parts, Buy Auto Parts only let us select from AC expansion devices, brake pad sets, brake rotors, fuel injectors, and performance exhaust systems. Other items needed to be searched without the limitation of our test vehicle at this auto parts store.
Pricing around $38.41 for brake pads
For our price comparison, we used a test vehicle to standardize and properly compare results. Our test car is a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. At every auto parts store, we looked at four items: a regular maintenance item (motor oil), a maintenance item that requires more work (brake pads), a more complex repair (shocks), and a tool set (socket wrench set 20-40 pcs). However, due to the limitations of items at Buy Auto Parts, we weren't able to find three of the four items at all. Here's what we found at Buy Auto Parts:
60-day return window
Buy Auto Parts did not offer free shipping at the time of our review. As for returns, you'll need to fill out their return form to get started. The standard policy is that Buy Auto Parts will accept returns within 60 days of the date you purchased your parts. There are no restocking fees, but you will be responsible for the return shipping. This auto parts store does offer a return window longer than many of its competitors.
Mixed reviews for part quality
Buy Auto Parts holds an impressive "A+" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. It also has a more positive rating on third-party review sites than many of the other auto parts stores in our review, with a solid rating overall. However, there are some recent concerns from customers that they received the wrong parts. These customers also had issues with getting the wrong item changed out, and they felt stonewalled by the customer service team with complaints about the "system" not working (this was a recurring comment from frustrated customers and not a one-off). While there are some positive reviews about quick and easy installs and perfect fits, the recent feedback has all been more negative, showing a possible increase in problems at Buy Auto Parts.
