2026 Auto Parts Store Reviews

Where is the best place to buy auto parts?  If you're a motorhead like we are, you know the struggle that comes with working on cars. Whether you're a professional mechanic hunting for a new supplier or a weekend enthusiast who prefers turning your own wrenches, buying auto parts isn't cheap. Picking up the parts yourself can definitely help you avoid those painful mechanic markups (we're looking at you, dealership service departments), but tracking down quality components at a fair price is where things get tricky.

On the Get All Parts website

Get All Parts is an online-only auto parts store that's known for its aftermarket car and truck replacement parts. The site is more difficult to browse than some of the others, as you need to narrow the field by department and item before you can see the inventory, but there are plenty of products to choose from. As a bonus, Get All Parts offers a 5-year warranty on all aftermarket parts, with its 100% satisfaction guarantee, so you don't need to worry about the quality of parts that aren't OEM at this auto parts store (in theory, anyway...).

Many items missing for popular vehicles

Get All Parts lets you browse through a couple of departments, including door mirrors, engine and powertrain, exterior parts, fuel system, interior parts, lights, radiator and cooling, wheels, and a "see all" option. You can search by keyword, but the listings are small, and there's a lot of back and forth with no helpful search filters beyond the initial keyword. When we put in our test vehicle, oddly, we noted some discrepancies in spelling on Get All Parts. This auto parts store had two misspellings of the Toyota brand in the dropdown list. However, after adding our vehicle to the site, we weren't able to find many of the standard repair parts, which was surprising given that our test vehicle (a Toyota Camry) is a pretty standard and popular car.

No standard items to price out

To compare prices at each auto parts store, we used a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. We looked at a regular maintenance item (motor oil), a maintenance item that requires more work (brake pads), a more complex repair (shocks), and a tool set (socket wrench set 20-40 pcs). However, with the limitations at Get All Parts, we weren't able to find any of our normal price comparison options. We tried general searches as well, but there were no results for brake pads or shocks like we normally see them. In the generalized brakes section, we found pieces rather than full assemblies - like just the brake backing plates or just the parking brake switch by itself. The lack of standard items was pretty shocking. If you don't need very basic parts, Get All Parts may not be ideal for you.

30-day return policy

Shipping costs are not standardized at Get All Parts. Instead, different parts may have higher costs depending on the weight and bulk of the items. If you have to have something shipped through freight (like an engine assembly), you can expect much higher prices. All shipments will be sent through UPS within the US. As for returns, Get All Parts offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for all parts purchased. However, this cost does not include shipping. You will need to send back your parts in "like new" condition for them to qualify for returns at this auto parts store, and you have to have your original invoice in the package.

Mixed feedback and poor quality parts

Get All Parts has a middle-tier rating overall, including a "B+" from the Better Business Bureau, and a slightly below average score of 2.4 stars out of 5 on third-party review sites like Trustpilot. Recent reviews show mixed feedback, with some customers suggesting that the company seems to have "gone out of business". We tried to contact the customer service team at this auto parts store, but we didn't hear back within 2 business days. However, from our research online, we were able to confirm Get All Parts is still in business, and we can make purchases from the website. On the other hand, outside of still being in business, there are a lot of complaints about receiving "junk" items in the mail rather than useful parts. While some customers felt the customer service was solid, the majority of recent reviewers weren't satisfied with their purchases.

Too many red flags

Get All Parts just doesn't stand up to the rest of the auto parts stores out there. If customers even have to question if a place is still in business, that's a red flag. Plus, with reviews pointing to faulty parts or claims that items that were shipped were just "junk" (and given the lack of serious parts and assemblies we saw during our research), it might be better to go with a more reliable auto parts store that's easier to shop with.

Finding the best deals on parts you can actually trust? That's the real challenge. No one wants spark plugs that fizzle out early or brake pads that wear down faster than expected just because you tried to save a few bucks. And sure, sometimes you just need to grab another 10mm socket (yes, we know-it vanished again). Either way, choosing the right auto parts store makes it easy to get what you need without the headache.

Whether you're doing an engine swap for your next YouTube video or just trying to do a little at-home tune-up, finding the right auto parts for your car and for your project is going to make or break your project. Different makes and models can have completely different needs for the same project. For example, if you've replaced the wheel bearings on a Nissan, a Mitsubishi is so different that it can take hours of extra work (and different specialty tools). But the trade-off is saving over $1,000 in labor costs, so if you can do it with the help of a solid auto parts store, you should.

These days, you don't have to rely on your local auto parts store (sometimes with a pretty limited inventory) to have everything you need. Online shopping has made it faster than ever to search for your make and model and grab parts that are designed specifically for your vehicle. And, you can easily find parts that are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), so you know that a Mercedes part was made by Mercedes for your Mercedes model. Then, there's no confusion about fit, and you can generally count on OEM to be high quality, or at least the same quality as the parts that originally came with your car when you bought it. Plus, for auto parts that are made overseas, shopping online can be the only way to get what you need.

If you're ready to get going on your next car project, but aren't sure which retailer to trust as your top auto parts store, we've done the hard work for you - so hopefully the process of getting your auto parts will be simple. There's enough stress when you're working on cars, and auto parts should be the easy-breezy step. Here are some factors you can consider to make sure you're getting the best auto parts from the best retailer on the market:

So, if you're ready to dive into your next project for maintenance or upgrading your ride, you've got the tools at your disposal (literally): Top Consumer Reviews has researched and ranked the best options for auto parts stores available. Now, you can grab your parts, tools, paint, and more. Whether you're restoring an old Camaro (good luck) or just trying to fix your favorite ride, there's an auto parts store out there to help you get the job done. And try not to lose your 10mm this time!

Auto Parts Store FAQ

What types of auto parts can I purchase online?
You can buy just about every part and product related to the functioning of your vehicle or other machinery from an auto parts store. From alternators to belts, and hoses to gaskets and shocks, you can replace pretty much anything you need in your car from the inside out. Take advantage of the knowledgeable customer service teams, "How To" guides, and other services made available by auto parts retailers to make your online shopping experience successful.
What if I am not sure which auto part I am looking for?
If you're experiencing trouble with your vehicle, but aren't sure what you need to fix it, you have a few options. First, you could take it into your local auto shop and have them check it out. The mechanic will be able to give you the exact part and specifications of what you need to purchase online. Your other option would be to chat with an auto parts representative through an online retailer. They are knowledgeable and helpful in guiding customers in the right direction to get their vehicles fixed.
How do I ensure that I purchase the right auto part?
If you chat online or call the auto parts retailer to describe the part you're planning to buy, they can help make sure it's the one you need. There are also detailed descriptions of each product listed online that should give enough information for customers to make educated purchases. If you realize that you need a different part after you've already submitted an online order, you can usually return or exchange your part for the right one!
Can I order auto parts online but pick up in-store?
Yes! Many online auto parts retailers have an in-store pickup option that is fast and convenient. You'll simply order online and head straight to the store to pick it up. Some auto parts stores will even bring your purchase outside to your car, so you don't have to go into the store! This ensures you get the products you need same-day and as an added perk, you save on shipping costs.
What is a refurbished auto part?
Used auto parts are often referred to as remanufactured or refurbished. This means that it was professionally remanufactured to meet industry standards and work like new. They may be less expensive than a new auto part and often come with warranties.
What is the difference between OEM and aftermarket auto parts?
OEM stands for "original equipment manufacturer". This label means that a part was manufactured by the maker of your vehicle. It was made specifically for your make and model. An aftermarket auto part is equally as effective, may cost less, but was made by a third-party for the purpose of replacing damaged parts.
Should I buy new or used auto parts?
If you have a brand-new vehicle or need a critical part replaced, it is usually recommended to buy a new part. For simple parts with shorter shelf lives, buying a used or refurbished part is a good alternative. It is best practice to consult your mechanic when making this decision and checking the part's price, warranty, and return policy before purchase. As long as you're shopping online from a reputable auto parts retailer, you will be able to get your needs met with confidence.
What do I do with old or defective auto parts?
You can either take old auto parts to a metal recycling center, donate them, or sell them to a used auto parts store. Some used parts retailers will pay cash on the spot for scrap metal. This is a great way to earn a little extra cash to put toward the new auto parts you need to purchase online.
