Started in 2003 under the name Baby-Wise, BabyEarth has grown into a thriving company with over half a million baby items in their inventory. Their name was changed in 2008 to reflect that they have one of the biggest selections of eco-friendly baby products on the market. In addition, they've implemented a great deal of eco-friendly business initiatives to show commitment to social responsibility.
Organic products
If you're only interested in buying organic baby products, BabyEarth makes it easy. You can shop their category dedicated to organic items that includes clothes, a baby carrier, car seat toys, diapering, nursery, nursing, toys, and other essentials. You won't have much of a selection to choose from since, put simply, there are just fewer options for organic baby supplies than not. But, if you're committed to eco-friendly, safe products, it's worth looking at what BabyEarth has to offer.
Unimpressive selection
Other categories of products (not necessarily organic) include clothing, strollers, diapering, nursing, toys, car seats, nursery, and items for mom. We found BabyEarth's inventory (especially clothing) to be quite limited compared to other baby gear retailers and lots of the listed products are sold out. Their website is also a bit unappealing with graphics representing multiple categories that don't seem to fit and long lists of products that don't seem to have any rhyme or reason as to their organization. It takes a little bit of work to find what you're looking for at BabyEarth, which is disappointing.
Competitive pricing, weak sale inventory
Prices at BabyEarth are fairly competitive and will be affordable for most people. They have a sale section where you can shop closeout items, $10 or less products, and extreme deals marked down as much as 40% off. However, all you'll find is a random assortment of less than 100 items, so we wouldn't put too much hope into finding your essentials at a screaming deal.
30-day return policy
If you spend $49 or more at BabyEarth, you'll qualify for free shipping. If you spend less, the cost is $7.95 for super saver shipping or $9.95 for standard ground shipping. As far as a return policy, BabyEarth says they allow most purchases to be returned within 30 days for a 100% refund as long as it is in unused condition with all tags intact. Items returned that don't meet the criteria are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Not our favorite
The Better Business Bureau gives BabyEarth an "A+" rating, which is great to see. Unfortunately there aren't very many individual customer reviews online, which tells us that this is generally not people's go-to baby store. Many reviews are from up to 10 years ago and refer to in-person activities and classes that BabyEarth puts on, which is irrelevant when shopping online. Overall, BabyEarth isn't our first choice for baby stores, so we recommend shopping from a higher-rated retailer before coming here.
Preparing for a new baby requires a surprising amount of purchases like a crib, changing station, car seat, stroller, clothing, rocking chair, bathing items, diapers, teethers, blankets, and so much more. Even as your child grows, the items needed don't seem to slow down! They grow so quickly and you'll need new toys, clothes, and books to keep up with their developmental stages.
Parents want the newest, cutest, and best things for their babies. With each new season comes a need for fun new outfits and activities. But, as any parent knows, shopping in-store becomes exponentially harder with little ones, so online shopping is a saving grace. You can shop to your heart's content from the comfort of your home to style your baby to be the cutest on the block!
There are many baby stores online to choose from. Some are more high-end and charge an arm and a leg for even the smallest and simplest baby items. It helps to be able to compare prices between different stores, especially for big ticket items like car seats and strollers. You'll be spending a lot of money on a baby no matter where you shop, but it helps to find online stores that offer discount codes or big sales to keep you within a budget!
