PishPosh Baby Review 3 Star Rating

PishPosh Baby

3 Star Rating
  • "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau
  • Free shipping on orders $75+
  • Thousands of happy customers

PishPosh Baby's website doesn't give much information about themselves. They say their promise is to "give you the clarity, confidence, and comfort that you need when making such an important and significant purchase." That's pretty vague and we were interested in learning more about the company history and how much they've grown over the years. With a quick search online, we found that PishPosh Baby was founded in 2014, so they are one of the newest baby stores in our review.

Customer service chat available

Right when you reach PishPosh Baby's site, a chat box will appear with the option to chat with a customer service representative. This will either be annoying or helpful if you have a question right off-the-bat. Their website could use a major overhaul, but it's easy enough to navigate if you know what you're looking for. The categories of product sold by PishPosh BABY are:

  • Strollers
  • Car seats
  • On-the-go (baby wraps, slings, etc.)
  • Feeding
  • Nursery
  • Bedding

Weak selection of styles

Some of the obvious items missing from PishPosh Baby's site are clothing and diapering. Of course, there are many other baby stores you can buy these items from, but it's worth noting that you won't be able to get everything here. PishPosh BABY is a store where you'll find most of your big items like a crib, changing station, booster seat, stroller, and more. However, even for these categories of items, their selection is a lot weaker than competitors'. They have a smaller variety of brands, colors, and styles than you might find elsewhere.

Caters to all budgets

If you care about buying the popular baby brands (whether high-end or middle-grade and affordable), you'll be happy to know that PishPosh Baby carries Britax, Chicco, Baby Bjorn, UPPAbaby, DockATot, 4moms, Maxi Cosi, and other reputable brands. We like that PishPosh Baby caters to people who have a big budget as well as those who want something practical, but don't care if it's the best of the best. As a perk, if you enter your email to be on PishPosh Baby's marketing list, you'll receive $10 off your first order.

Best Baby Stores

Price match (not) guaranteed

PishPosh Baby doesn't guarantee a price match on their items, but they do say that if you find a product sold at a lower price outside of their website, you can contact them to see if they will give you the lower price. They don't price match local boutiques or third party marketplaces, so getting the discount isn't always a possibility.

Orders of $75+ ship free

Deliveries from PishPosh Baby can be made to all 48 contiguous United States and if you spend $75 or more through their website, you'll receive free shipping. Anything under $75 will be charged a flat fee of $6.95 for delivery. For oversized items like big pieces of furniture, an additional shipping charge may apply.

30-day returns

If you need to return an item to PishPosh Baby, you can do so within 30 days without worrying about restocking fees. Products must be in brand-new condition, unused, and in original packaging to apply for a full refund.

Average baby store

We were initially turned off by PishPosh Baby's website (and still are) because it doesn't seem to appeal to modern parents looking to buy quality products. They also don't have as big of a selection as many people might like. However, if we put this aside, we are pleased that the Better Business Bureau gives PishPosh Baby an "A+" rating and that thousands of customers have nothing but great things to say about shopping here. People say their customer service is excellent to work with and that they exceeded expectations. Because of this, PishPosh BABY has still earned a decent rating from us.

Baby Store FAQ

Every baby store has slightly different categories of products they offer. Most stores sell clothing, baby gear (e.g. strollers, cars seats, baby carriers), feeding accessories, furniture, toys, and more. Some baby stores focus mostly on selling clothing, while others are known for having a big selection of large items like gliders, changing tables, wagons, strollers, and car seats. Essentially, a baby store is meant to provide everything you would need to care for an infant.
It depends on the store! However, most baby stores have a good selection of products for newborn babies through toddlerhood. In addition, many baby stores sell things like breast pumps, robes, and maternity clothes that mothers would need throughout and after pregnancy. Ideally you'll be able to find a store you can shop at until your baby is a few years old and get all the things you need for yourself along the way.
Most baby stores are quite affordable and have competitive pricing, although some stores sell local, handmade items that are more expensive. When it comes to shopping for your baby, you'll need a lot of things, but aside from a stroller, car seat, and furniture, most baby items are quite inexpensive. Many retailers have price-match guarantees to ensure that you aren't paying more than is necessary for any of their products.
Yes! Almost all baby stores have a return policy of at least 30 days. Retailers know you might get repeat items from baby showers or find that you purchased the wrong size or style of something for your child. As long as you keep everything in brand-new condition, you'll be able to send things back for a full refund as long as it's within the return window specified by the company.
Not all baby stores allow you to register with them, but many do! This is a great way to specify to friends and family the things you want for your baby before he/she arrives. Oftentimes, baby stores will give you a discount on all remaining items from your registry after your baby showers are over. This helps you get all the necessary items that weren't gifted to you - for a good price.
Parents appreciate any and all kinds of gifts for their little one! It's always safe to get them a cute outfit, book, or baby toy. It also helps to check if the parents have registered for specific things. A good rule of thumb is to request a gift receipt when you shop online so that the parents can exchange anything they need to.
When babies are first born, sizes go by months. This isn't always accurate since some babies are born smaller or bigger than others and they all grow at different rates. However, it's usually pretty safe to buy something according to the number of months your child is. Once they pass 18 months, clothing sizes change to "2T" , "3T" , and so on based on how many years old they are. Luckily, if you buy the wrong size you could always exchange or return the clothing.
It can be overwhelming to shop for your baby if you've never had one before. The number of things you need to care for and play with your child may seem endless. It helps to do a quick online search for a "must-have" baby products list. You could also start by visiting an online baby store and going through all their products to get an idea of what's out there and what you imagine might be helpful. Think of these main categories to get your started: sleeping, eating, bathing, diapering, playing, and transportation.

Continued from above...

There are many baby stores online to choose from. Some are more high-end and charge an arm and a leg for even the smallest and simplest baby items. It helps to be able to compare prices between different stores, especially for big ticket items like car seats and strollers. You'll be spending a lot of money on a baby no matter where you shop, but it helps to find online stores that offer discount codes or big sales to keep you within a budget!

When deciding what baby store to shop at, here are a few important things to consider:

  • Cost. Parents are often willing to buy and do whatever their child needs, but it's important to find somewhere that isn't taking advantage by charging astronomical prices. Does the store offer discounts? How often do they run sitewide sales?
  • Selection. From toys to clothes to books, every person has a different taste, so find a store that offers a big selection to choose from. It's boring to shop somewhere that always sells the same things or doesn't give you many options.
  • Return policy. Whether you're buying a baby item as a gift or for your own child, sometimes you get sizes wrong or change your mind about the product. Does the store offer a generous return policy and give full refunds?
