Before they got into the stroller business, Evenflo originally launched as a manufacturer of baby feeding products in Ravenna, Ohio during the 1920's. Now, with over 100 years in the baby industry, Evenflo has established themselves as innovative, convenient, and leading-edge safety experts. Aside from car seats, strollers, and travel systems, Evenflo has a collection of activity centers and stationary jumpers under the brand name "Exersaucer” and high-quality ride-on toys for older kids called "Rollplay.”
Itty-bitty selection
Even though Evenflo has massively expanded the product categories they carry since their inception in the 1900s, their stroller selection is dismal. We were really surprised to find that they only had 7 products total, 2 of which were sold out, leaving a tiny selection of 5 strollers. There's nothing here for people looking for a double stroller and 3 of the options were wagons, rather than traditional strollers.
Starting at $99
The least expensive Evenflo stroller is one of the ones that's out-of-stock, but it was just $99 for a black, lightweight, reversible stroller. The most you'll pay is for their all-terrain wagon at $499, which could qualify for free shipping since it's over the $150 mark. Wagons are becoming a popular option for young kids, so it wouldn't hurt to at least look at the ones Evenflo has. We like that they have reviews from other people who have purchased the wagon or stroller and most of them are actually quite high (though this may be because many of them say they were incentivized). You can see a rating out of 5 stars, photos of people using the stroller, and read a synopsis of people's opinions and advice for other potential buyers.
Unreliable 30-day returns
Like most companies, Evenflo offers a 30-day return policy. It's nothing special: just simply that if you're unhappy, you can send your stroller back for a full refund if it's in new, unused condition. A phone number is provided for you to obtain return instructions. However, from what we've heard from other buyers, it's a nearly impossible task to reach someone and actually make the return happen.
Concerning customer reviews
Evenflo is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but they do have a rating. Because of 55 complaints filed against the company (yikes!) they have a "B” rating. Outside of the BBB, we found equally concerning reviews from customers saying that it's difficult to reach customer service and work with them on returns. We read tons of reviews all echoing this same frustration, so it seems you'd be in quite a pickle if you ended up buying a stroller here and wanted your money back for it.
Hard pass
It's kind of a no-brainer to shop at almost any other retailer besides Evenflo, since their inventory is slim and their reviews are concerning. There are some other fantastic options for baby strollers out there, so we recommend referring to one of our higher-rated options instead.
On your list of must-haves a mile long for your new baby, finding the right stroller should be right up at the top. Having a mode of transportation that's comfortable and convenient for you and your little(s) is key to confidently staying on-the-go during the day. Whether you're just taking a walk around the park or you're headed off for some long days at Disneyland, having a stroller you love will make all the difference.
Since strollers are such a staple part of parenthood, you'd think it would be a piece of cake selecting one that will check all your boxes. Not the case! Anyone who has jumped online to pick out a stroller has likely ended up completely overwhelmed at all the choices. With accessories for water bottles, car seat adaptors, or even standing boards for a toddler, the options for creating your perfect stroller are endless.
Depending on the brand of stroller you're interested in and the bells and whistles it comes with, you should expect to pay anywhere between a couple hundred dollars and over a thousand for your stroller. It's important to find a retailer that will provide plenty of information about all their options, along with customer reviews to help you make the best buying decision.
Some companies will offer major sales on their baby gear every so often, so this would be a great way to save some money. If you're having a hard time committing to a stroller or worried about the price, you might find a retailer that lets you do a trial run with the stroller to make sure it will fit all your needs.
