Macy's Review 4.5 Star Rating

Macy's

4.5 Star Rating
  • Starting at $79.99
  • 179 results for strollers
  • Free shipping over $49
  • Free in-store returns
  • "A+” Better Business Bureau rating

When you think of Macy's, you might imagine the vast amount of styles and designs of clothing they sell or maybe the parade they put on in New York each year. Macy's never ceases to amaze us when it comes to other unlikely products they carry. They began clear back in 1858 as a dry goods store in New York and now nets around 23 billion dollars in sales each year from selling products ranging from beauty products to home furnishings.

Good range of choices

There are 179 results for baby strollers from Macy's. Mixed into these results are some accessories like a stroller fan, gate check bag for strollers, kids' tricycles, and even doll strollers, but still there is a great selection here. Whether you need a simple single stroller or a complex wagon for multiple kids, there are options. Macy's carries stroller brands like BOB, Baby Jogger, Britax, Disney, Graco, Joybi, Maxi-Cosi, and WonderFold. We liked the range of single and double strollers and the variety of wagons that had a lot of unique features. They also have travel systems for those who like the 2-in-1 perk of getting a coordinating car seat and stroller together.

Options under $100

On Macy's site, you can sort their selection by things like offers, brand, price, color, and customers' top rated (because they have unfiltered reviews on everything), and more. When we sorted by price, we found that the cheapest stroller is a Dream On Me lightweight, foldable single stroller for just $79.99. There were quite a few options for under $100, especially since some of them were accompanied by a 10% discount code you could use at checkout. If money's not an object when you're considering strollers, Macy's has a highly-rated Baby Jogger travel system for $899.99. This is actually quite a reasonable price and it's always a steal when you can get a carseat and stroller in one purchase.

Free shipping over $49

When you select a stroller you're interested in, you can input your zip code to get an estimated ship date. Any orders over $49 qualify for free shipping, so that includes all strollers on Macy's site. If there are multiple color options, you'll be able to view these on the product listing along with other photos, product dimensions, and product details.

Free in-store returns

The return policy for each item is also listed on the product page. We found that strollers had a 30-day return window either in-store or by mail. Return shipping is only $9.99, which isn't bad. However, if you live near one of Macy's 521 locations throughout the United States, it might be easier to just take it back there for free.

Good store with their share of criticism

Macy's has an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau, which is what we always hope to see. They have their fair share of frustrated customers and complaints, but unfortunately we expect this with a retailer as big as Macy's that has such a wide variety of products they sell around the world. There are also quite a few instances where in-store events lead people to leave reviews, and these don't really relate much to those people shopping online. The reviews on their strollers are mostly really high and we would refer to those when making a purchase.

Great option

We really like that Macy's has a good selection of strollers. The pricing on all of them seems really reasonable and we know that Macy's frequently lists items on sale, so if you watch for it, you might be able to get a deal on the stroller you're eying. Macy's has good reviews and quality products, so they've earned a great rating from us.

Baby Stroller Store FAQ

It may be overwhelming to find a baby stroller online since there are so many brands and styles. The six main types of baby strollers are full-sized, umbrella, jogging, double, car seat carriers, and travel systems. Depending on what you'll be using your stroller for, this will help you narrow down your options.
It's nearly impossible to get away with not having a baby stroller. Whether you want to go on a leisurely walk, go on a run, visit a museum, or just go to the grocery store, you will need a way to safely bring your baby along. It's unrealistic to carry your baby everywhere and holding them in a car seat is heavy and uncomfortable. Having a stroller allows you to easily get around on foot with your baby.
The cost of baby strollers varies widely. This is largely based on what you're using the stroller for. There are also some brands that can be multi-functional with the option of different accessories that can cost upwards of $1,000 or more. On the other hand, you can easily find an umbrella stroller for $50 or less. If you want a functional, high-quality stroller that doesn't carry a fancy brand name, you can find everything you need in a stroller for just a couple hundred dollars.
Baby strollers can be returned to stores if they are in new condition and haven't been heavily used. The return may incur a restocking fee, so be sure to read up on the return policy of a company before purchasing from them. Since strollers are a large purchase, some retailers have a stroller guarantee that allows parents to try out their stroller for a few weeks and return it if they want something different. If your stroller comes damaged or broken, you can always get a new one without paying shipping or restocking fees.
Most baby strollers come with everything you need like the basket, a small tray table, the sun shade, buckles, and more. Some high-end stroller companies have a variety of add-ons you could purchase if you want all the bells and whistles. If you want to hook your baby car seat onto the stroller, you might have to purchase an attachment part for that. There are buddy boards that allow toddler children to stand on the back of the stroller while pushing it. And you can buy additional storage packs and click onto the stroller as well. Of course, these are all optional and you can get everything you really need from the stroller purchase alone.
When looking for a baby stroller, decide how you'll be using it most. Do you have more than one kid that needs to fit? Do you often go running with your baby? Are the walkways around you paved or dirt? Do you travel often? The different stroller types cater to different lifestyles, so once you decide what you need your stroller to do, you can narrow down all your options. You'll be able to choose from a variety of colors too, so pick your favorite one! It's also helpful if customers have left reviews on the different baby strollers. This way you can see how high-quality the frame is, if pieces come loose, and how it handles on different terrain.
There is no guarantee on exactly how long a stroller will last since the frequency of use varies from person to person and some people are gentler with their belongings than others. However, strollers are meant to carry children extremely long distances, fold up for convenient packing, and be used over and over again. It's not unlikely that a stroller will last through all of your children and still be in good condition.
When your baby stroller arrives, it will be packaged in a box and need minimal assembling. All baby stroller packages come with step-by-step instructions on how to put them together. If it's easier, most strollers have assembly tutorials online if you visit the retailer's website or search the internet. Most stroller assembly is fairly intuitive and will require just a few minutes.

Do you want one that works well for jogging? Do you need it to have an adjustable sun shade? Would you prefer a single stroller? Or a double? How about one that can convert to being both? With accessories for water bottles, car seat adaptors, or even standing boards for a toddler, the options for creating your perfect stroller are endless.

Depending on the brand of stroller you're interested in and the bells and whistles it comes with, you should expect to pay anywhere between a couple hundred dollars and over a thousand for your stroller. It's important to find a retailer that will provide plenty of information about all their options, along with customer reviews to help you make the best buying decision.

Some companies will offer major sales on their baby gear every so often, so this would be a great way to save some money. If you're having a hard time committing to a stroller or worried about the price, you might find a retailer that lets you do a trial run with the stroller to make sure it will fit all your needs. There are quite a few stores to choose from that have a great selection of strollers, so keep the following things in mind when choosing who to go with:

  • Selection. Does the company give you plenty of color options, accessories to choose from, and a range of high quality brands? Since there are so many types of strollers, it will help to shop at a company that offers a big selection and allows you to easily compare all their products.
  • Return policy. What if you try out your stroller and decide that it isn't going to work for your lifestyle like you hoped? Are you able to return it for a full refund or easily exchange it for a new one? How long do you have to give your stroller a try before making a final decision on it?
  • Customer satisfaction. What do other customers have to say about the stroller store? Is the company reputable and reliable? What are they rated by the Better Business Bureau? Do they honor their policies and put the customer first?
