Pottery Barn was founded in 1999 by two moms who wanted to provide safe and comfortable furniture for parents looking to design their kids' rooms. They have over 90 brick-and-mortar stores throughout the US and abroad. In addition to Pottery Barn's main site, they have sister sites for kids (Pottery Barn Kids) and teens (Pottery Barn Teen). They are owned by Williams Sonoma, a company with an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau.
High-end strollers
Pottery Barn is known for their upscale styles and high-end products, whether it be bedding, home decor, furniture, rugs, or baby strollers. It's no surprise that all the brands we found here are top-of-the-line including UPPAbaby, Nuna, Baby Jogger, Duna, Bugaboo, Thule, and Mima. There are about 50 choices in total for people looking for full-size strollers or infant travel systems. If you're wanting a double stroller, simple umbrella stroller, or jogging stroller, you'll find one or two options at Pottery Barn, but there are definitely better selections elsewhere.
Name-brand prices and a price match guarantee
With the name-brand strollers carried at Pottery Barn come name-brand prices. The cheapest stroller is simple with no bells and whistles for $199. Most strollers are in the $500+ range and you can easily spend up to $2,000 for a travel system. One perk is that you'll get free shipping no matter what stroller you buy. In addition, Pottery Barn has a price match guarantee that isn't spelled out in detail on their website, but for qualifying items (we're unsure of what does or doesn't qualify) you can contact customer service if you find an identical item through a competitor for a lower price. The idea is that you won't pay more at Pottery Barn than you will through another retailer.
Return shipping through UPS
When you view a stroller on Pottery Barn's website, an estimated ship date is calculated based on your zip code. If you decide you need to send your stroller back for a refund once it arrives, you can visit the Pottery Barn website to initiate it within 30 days. You'll fill out some information about why you're returning the stroller and then print a UPS shipping label for drop-off at one of their locations. Except when an item was damaged upon arrival or defective, you'll be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Negative customer reviews
Pottery Barn has had a lot of negative customer reviews over the last couple of years. Some people complain about their high prices while others have issues with receiving wrong orders, difficulty dealing with customer service, products arriving with missing pieces, and more. We didn't read about any issues with strollers in particular, but that doesn't mean you won't run into hiccups.
Larger inventory would be more helpful
It would be nice if Pottery Barn allowed customers to leave reviews on individual products to get a better idea of how people like their strollers from here and what their buying experience was like. Pottery Barn has a beautiful selection of products, but their stroller inventory isn't very big and you'll only have the option to buy something expensive here. Because of this, they have earned an average rating from us.
Once you bring your newborn home from the hospital, you'll need a good stroller to make it easy to take walks outside, go to the grocery store, and get around anywhere else that requires getting from point A to point B. A reliable stroller will make your life much easier and provide a comfortable, safe place for your baby to be when you're out and about.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different strollers online to choose from. It can be a daunting task to weigh all the pros and cons of different designs. Some strollers are small and simple, allowing for your baby and maybe a cup holder or two while you're on-the-go. Others cater to multiple kids, have lots of storage, are compatible with car seats that click in and out, are meant for jogging, and some even have retractable wheels and can double as a car seat.
There are so many amazing stroller features available to new parents, you just have to decide what fits your lifestyle best. Shopping for strollers online is a great way to save money by comparing prices between retailers. You can also read customer reviews about value and quality, watch tutorials on all the stroller features, and have the biggest possible selection at your fingertips.
You won't have to go from store to store trying to find a retailer that has a stroller you like, and you'll be able to choose from a much wider selection of colors. Buying a stroller online will make this important purchase a whole lot easier!
