Walmart may be one of the most widely recognized retailers in the world. They operate in over 27 countries and employ more than 2.1 million people globally. Walmart is one of those stores you could turn to to furnish your entire home, find all the latest toys and electronics, and put food on your table. They're known for being extremely budget-friendly and having affordable options for every type of household. Walmart is a leading retailer for all types of products, and strollers are no exception.
Inventory winner
Although Walmart isn't known for being very classy or high-end, you have to give them credit for the mind-boggling amount of products they carry. Walmart has the biggest selection of strollers of any company we've considered, with over 800 choices. Since Walmart has a massive selection of nearly every type of item, their website is laid out to help you easily narrow down what you want. You can browse strollers by price, brand, color, features, customer ratings, category, fulfillment speed, and more.
Cheaper, budget-friendly brands
Aside from having the biggest inventory of strollers, Walmart also carries some of the cheapest options as well. After all, Walmart's slogan is "Save money. Live better.” They sell a highly-rated, black umbrella stroller for just $14.98. This is a Parent's Choice brand, which is Walmart's own label. They also have a Cosco umbrella stroller for $14.98 and a few other umbrella strollers for under $30. Of all the strollers sold through Walmart, the most expensive one is just $549.99 for a stroller carseat combo made by Shyft. The other brands you'll find at Walmart are Evenflo, Baby Trend, Graco, Chicco, Safety 1st, and others. You won't find high-end brands like Baby Jogger, UPPAbaby, Mockingbird, or Maxi Cosi here, so the range of prices will stay on the low end.
3 delivery options
As long as you're spending over $35 at Walmart, your order will ship for free. Most orders ship within 2 days, which is great. When you view a stroller, you'll see 3 options for receiving your order. The first is shipping, and Walmart provides a delivery date for you to see. The next is pickup (if it's available at your local store) and you'll see a date for when that's available. They also give a ship-to-store delivery option if that's available. This means that the item will be delivered to your nearest store and you could swing on over and get the stroller from there. However, shipping straight to your house sounds much more convenient in our opinion.
A popular shopping destination
You'll be able to see warranty information, specs, details on the stroller's features, a series of photos, and sometimes even videos of the stroller you're interested in on Walmart's website. A lot of the stroller options come in multiple color choices that you can switch between to choose your favorite one. We also like that there are hundreds of customer reviews on each stroller too. Since Walmart is such a popular place to shop, you'll get a lot of customer feedback on their strollers, which is invaluable.
Varying return windows
Something unique about Walmart is that they often sell products directly from the brand or another seller. This means that the return policies might vary depending on the product. We saw some Evenflo strollers that came with a 30-day return policy, for example, while other strollers from a brand like Graco had a 90-day return window. This is something to check for before making a purchase, rather than assuming everything can be returned within the same timeframe.
Trustworthy and reliable
Walmart is a trustworthy and reliable place to shop. They're one of the most established retailers in the world and they have fairly smooth processes for everything. The Better Business Bureau gives them an "A+” rating. Similar to other large retailers like Target, for example, you'll find plenty of negative reviews on third-party sites from people who are buying all sorts of products, often at their closest Walmart location, who have some sort of frustrating experience. These aren't entirely relatable to buying a stroller online, so when it comes to customer reviews, pay the closest attention to the ones for each stroller straight from Walmart's website.
Functional, inexpensive, and transparent
If you want functional, sturdy, basic strollers that aren't excessively expensive, look to Walmart. If you aren't concerned about brand names or all the fanciest features or accessories, Walmart is a solid place to look. Their prices are well within reason and their selection is hard to beat. Walmart makes the online shopping experience seamless and they provide plenty of transparent product information and details about shipping and customer satisfaction. They aren't the very first place we'd shop for a stroller, but they are still going to be a fantastic option for many customers.
On your list of must-haves a mile long for your new baby, finding the right stroller should be right up at the top. Having a mode of transportation that's comfortable and convenient for you and your little(s) is key to confidently staying on-the-go during the day. Whether you're just taking a walk around the park or you're headed off for some long days at Disneyland, having a stroller you love will make all the difference.
Since strollers are such a staple part of parenthood, you'd think it would be a piece of cake selecting one that will check all your boxes. Not the case! Anyone who has jumped online to pick out a stroller has likely ended up completely overwhelmed at all the choices. There are so many pros and cons for each type of stroller, it'll make your head spin.
Do you want one that works well for jogging? Do you need it to have an adjustable sun shade? Would you prefer a single stroller? Or a double? How about one that can convert to being both? With accessories for water bottles, car seat adaptors, or even standing boards for a toddler, the options for creating your perfect stroller are endless.
Depending on the brand of stroller you're interested in and the bells and whistles it comes with, you should expect to pay anywhere between a couple hundred dollars and over a thousand for your stroller. It's important to find a retailer that will provide plenty of information about all their options, along with customer reviews to help you make the best buying decision.
Some companies will offer major sales on their baby gear every so often, so this would be a great way to save some money. If you're having a hard time committing to a stroller or worried about the price, you might find a retailer that lets you do a trial run with the stroller to make sure it will fit all your needs.
