While this company promises "peak performance and service," it comes across as one of the less user-friendly battery stores in our review.
Only specialized batteries
The browsing at Battery Ship is a little more complicated than with other sites in our review. If you're looking to search by battery name (like Duracell, or Energizer), you might get lost pretty fast. If you want to see Battery Ship's full inventory, you can view a long (long) alphabetical list. Otherwise, the best way to shop is by product type with items like chargers, controllers, cameras, exit lights, printers, projectors, medical equipment, and more. You can also search by manufacturer, but this is for the name of the company that made the item you're trying to put batteries in (Dell for a laptop battery). If you use the search bar, you can find specific items like AA or AAA batteries, but our searches showed packs of batteries that have wires that attach to specific tools. We saw zero standard loose batteries of any standard size at this battery store. In other words, this is a place for replacing unique battery packs rather than picking up your usual household batteries.
Prices from $23.01 to $98.15 for AA packs
Normally, for our price comparison between battery stores, we research the cost of all Alkaline batteries, AAs, and 9Vs. We usually also look at the price of car batteries where available. However, since Battery Ship has none of these in a standard format, we had to complete the price check by only looking at the AA battery packs available at Battery Ship. These are packs that are wrapped together with a kind of plastic and generally have a cord or plug to attach them to a specialized tool. For these AAs, the voltage was higher than standard, so a 3-battery pack started at $23.01. Prices for these went up to $98.15 for 8 batteries bound together.

There is no minimum purchase requirement, so you can buy as much or as little as you want and still get the deal, which helps it stand out from competing battery stores.
