BHLDN is an Anthropolgie company that sells bridal gowns, bridal party apparel (flower girls and bridesmaids), wedding jewelry, mother of the bride dresses, formal dresses, and shoes. All the women in your wedding party can be taken care of here! However, you might not want to depend on this company for all of your dresses since the company has such a poor reputation with many unsatisfied customers.

Wide range of colors, styles, and sizes

There are 311 bridesmaid dresses to choose from at BHLDN. You can shop by color, fabric, plus sizes, dresses with sleeves, and trending dresses. Most dresses come in multiple colors and fashionable, timeless styles. Fabrics include velvet, silk, satin, chiffon, lace, beaded, and crepe. Most dresses range from sizes 0-16 and the plus sizes range from 16W to 26W.

High-end prices

When you shop at BHLDN, be prepared to throw your budget to the wind. You'll easily drop a few hundred dollars on each dress here. The least expensive dress you'll find is $148, while the most you'll spend is $398 per dress. If you're a bride supplying all the dresses for your bridesmaids, this will be quite an expense. If you're a bridesmaid buying your own dress, you'll probably be nauseated if you're asked to spend this much.

Order in advance

BHLDN recommends ordering your bridesmaid dresses at least 6 months in advance. What?! Maybe for some this is possible, but that is an extremely long lead time for something as simple as a dress. For many brides, this timetable may not be possible. However, standard shipping on most dresses says it will arrive in 5-8 business days and usually ship out within 24 hours of ordering. This isn't bad, but there have been customer complaints saying that shipping can be unpredictably slow through BHLDN.

Long return process

The return policy for dresses ordered from BHLDN is typical of clothing retailers. You have 30 days to return your items for a full refund. After the 30-day window you'll qualify for store credit. Most items need to be shipped back and can't be returned to a store. It may take up to 2-3 weeks to process returns, which is quite long. Some customers report that they never receive refunds or are charged up to $75 in restocking fees with no explanation from customer service as to why.

Deeply concerning issues

Unfortunately, despite their professional website, beautiful gowns, and high-end vibes, this company is not as it seems. BHLDN has a "D" rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and their parent company Anthropologie has an "F" rating. Deeply concerning customer reports, including an alert from the BBB say that Anthropologie often sends damaged products and rarely issues refunds or exchanges when customers return their items. Customer service will claim that new products or a refund is on its way, but they never arrive. Hundreds of formal complaints have been filed. Some say that items they receive are the wrong size or they come badly damaged if they arrive at all.

Online nightmare

Online shopping from Anthropolgoie or BHLDN sounds like quite a nightmare, and we are disappointed by the way this company operates. BHLDN has earned our lowest ranking.
