Maxtrix boasts that they're the world's largest furniture system. They focus on creating beds that bring fun and functionality into their customers' homes with unique, modular designs. The company started in 2004 with the idea of creating furniture that could be reconfigured as kids grow. This means that slides, tents, and storage drawers can be switched out as needs and style changes and beds can be changed to fit different rooms. In addition to beds, you'll also find dressers, nightstands, toy storage, book cases, and desks for sale at Maxtrix.
High-end bunk beds
We could tell right away that Maxtrix is a high-end place to buy bunk beds. The styles here are classy and timeless. None of the designs are wildly different from what we've seen elsewhere, but they are pretty and appear to be sturdy and durable. There are 148 results for bunk beds that can be narrowed down by product type, bed size, number of beds, bunk height, finish, and entry type.
Commitment to safety
Maxtrix uses Rock Lock leg bolts, a trademarked way of building their bunk and loft beds for an extra strong and solid connection. They say they are industry leaders in making extra tall guardrails for added safety. All their furniture finishes are low VOC (volatile organic compounds) as a way of making their furniture an all-around smart choice.
Expect steeper prices
When we saw that Maxtrix was offering free shipping on orders over $1,000 with email signup, we were frightened at just how much they might charge for bunk beds here. We had reason to be since the least expensive set here is $1,339 (and that's with nearly a $400 markdown). This price is likely a reflection of the quality since all bunk beds are made with hardwood construction of either maple, birch, or aspen. At most you'll spend $4,999 on a beautiful quadruple bunk bed. At the time of this review, there was a 15% off code to celebrate an upcoming holiday, so if you're shopping when something like this is going on, definitely take advantage.
2- to 6-week delivery
Most bunk beds come with at least 3 finish options (white, natural, or chestnut). Sometimes you can choose between minor aesthetic features like bed end panel styles and the height between beds. They don't have as many details about the bunk beds as some other retailers provide, like estimated shipping dates and extensive specs, but Maxtrix lists a short description and the dimensions of the bunk beds. Maxtrix says that most of their bunk beds take 2-6 weeks to arrive once an order is placed and an email with tracking will be sent for you to stay up-to-date on where your order is at.
30-day return policy
Once you place an order with Maxtrix, you have 24 hours to make changes to it or cancel. After that, you'd need to make a return within 30 days if you change your mind about the bunk beds. You'll need to pay for return shipping (which is likely really expensive), plus you're subject to a 20% restocking fee as well.
5-year warranty
All Maxtrix merchandise is warranted by Maxwood Furniture, Inc. and only applies to defects in workmanship and materials under standard household use for five years.
High (hopefully honest) customer reviews
Even though Maxtrix is a more expensive retailer for bunk beds, they have quite a few reviews on each of their products. Most of them are 5 out of 5 stars, which is great. However, we did read on some third-party sites that people who were disappointed with their purchases left poor reviews with Maxtrix and they weren't ever published. We hope that all the customer reviews here are honest, but it's possible they aren't a full representation of the quality and customer service. Maxtrix's Better Business Bureau page was down when we were shopping, so hopefully we find a high rating once it is back up and operational.
If you want the best
It goes without saying that the bunk beds at Maxtrix are expensive. Many people would be satisfied with an MDF or metal version of these bunk beds that would hold up just fine for the years that they're used. However, if you want the best of the best for your kids or you're worried about a lot of weight and wear, then Maxtrix is a fantastic option. All of their styles are timeless and will be beautiful in any bedroom. We're impressed with their warranty and positive customer reviews (assuming we can rely on them), so if you're willing to spend the money, this is actually a really fabulous place to shop for bunk beds.
If you have a couple of kids and are looking to consolidate space, bunk beds are a fantastic way to go. They take up less floor space while still allowing kids to have their own separate beds. Plus, what kid doesn't want to sleep in a bunk bed instead of a regular bed anyway?
Bunk beds are one of the most exciting setups for a kid's bedroom. They're totally fun and unique, so it's a win-win for parents and children. You're totally on the right track. However, shopping for a bunk bed can be a frustrating experience. The selection in traditional stores is very limited. That's one reason why buying bunk beds online has become so popular.
Bunk beds are usually thought of as stacked twin beds, one atop the other. However, there are so many different configurations to accommodate different ages, room sizes, or even the number of sleepers. For older kids, you may consider getting bunk beds with either one or two queen size beds instead of twins.
This way the bed grows with your child by providing extra space and comfort. You could mix and match bed sizes depending on the bed frame, or even get a triple bunk bed for three kids. This is a great option for triplets or just siblings close in age who are excited about sharing a room together.
Regardless of your style and taste, you can find bunk beds that will be a lovely addition to a bedroom. Some are simple and take up a minimal amount of space while providing the basic comforts of a bed for your child. Others come in fun paint colors, have attached desks or bookshelves, or even a slide going down from the top.
Some bunk beds have ladders while others have stairs. You might get bunk beds that also have a trundle in case you have a guest sleeping over and need the extra space. There are a lot of cool features you'll find, so start thinking through all the aspects of bunk beds that will best serve your family.
