The new and modern approach to displaying treasured photos around your house or office space is with simple, canvas prints of all shapes and sizes. Whether it's showing off an extraordinary vacation you went on, photos of loved ones, nature scenes, or your furry best friend, canvas prints make a bold statement in any room and add life to your decor. You don't even need a professional camera to snap breathtaking shots that can be turned into canvas prints.
With the quality of phones these days, you surely have hundreds of print-worthy photos ready for use. Flat, two-dimensional images are easily turned into canvas prints that look like a 3-D work of art. Some people opt for a frame around their canvas, but the great part about these types of prints is that they look beautiful on their own as well.

Canvas HQ is a family-owned and operated company that started over 10 years ago. They set the standard for quality canvas artwork, caring customer service, and quick turnaround times. This is a business that pays close attention to detail and treats every canvas order with care to ensure the happiness of their clients. You'll find only the highest-quality inks, canvases, frames, and hanging tools offered by this company.
If you're looking for a cheap, quick-print company where you can slap a photo onto canvas material and call it good, Canvas HQ will be above and beyond what you're looking for. This service includes free photo touch-ups done by their in-house Photoshop experts - on every order. They'll remove blemishes, red eyes, image noise, and more. You can go back and forth with them to see proofs of their work before accepting the final picture. They use state-of-the-art printers with ink that's designed to be suitable for indoors or out and won't smudge or fade.
Crafted with precision
After your canvas print is finished, Canvas HQ cuts and stretches it using precision guides. They hand-craft all their frames and attach them to your canvas with painstaking detail to make sure it is straight, sturdy, and will last a lifetime. The frames are sanded by hand and double- and triple-checked to make sure there are no imperfections. They'll carefully stretch your canvas print over the frame and if there are any bubbles or issues, they'll start all over. At the end, Canvas HQ adds all the hardware to your canvas print so it's ready to hang when it arrives at your doorstep without the need for you to use any special tools. This company is obviously top-of-the-line and cares deeply about making their customers happy.
Daily updated production times
Because there is so much attention and detail that goes into creating canvas prints at Canvas HQ, customers should expect it to take a bit of time. Every day, Canvas HQ updates the production time on their website so you know what to expect. When we checked, it was 14 days, which seems reasonable. Nearly all of their packages arrive in perfect condition, but in the rare instance that your canvas print has damage upon delivery, Canvas HQ will replace it right away.
Pricing for canvas prints from Canvas HQ is very transparent. On their pricing page, you can view a list of 11 different sizes (or type in a custom size) and see how much it costs based on using a .75" , 1.5" , or 2" frame. There are also options for black, white, gold, silver, and walnut floating frames. Prices reflect the high quality you'll receive from this company, but they are not outrageous by any means. There was a promo code for 10% of your entire order at the time of this review and shipping is free on all orders.
Satisfaction or your money back
If you aren't 100% satisfied with your order when it arrives, Canvas HQ will either remake it or refund you. You'll need to reach out to them within 30 days of receiving your order to work through any issues that need resolving.
By far the best
On top of all the quality control and care Canvas HQ puts into creating your canvas masterpiece, their platform is easy to use and takes only a matter of minutes to submit an order. There is no reason not to jump on board with shopping online at Canvas HQ after everything we've seen. We are very impressed with their professionalism, authenticity, and dedication to customer satisfaction. Canvas HQ is not rated by the Better Business Bureau. However, what we've seen from customers reflects exactly what we hoped - an experience that proved there is a lot going on behind the scenes to make sure all canvas prints here turn out beautifully. This is by far the best place to purchase a canvas print.
Canvas On Demand has over 18 years of experience specializing in canvas prints, customizable art, and specialty prints (acrylic, metal, framed, and posters). The company was started in 2003 with the vision of helping families commemorate favorite memories on canvas to display in their home. Everything is assembled in the USA on premium canvas to allow for the fastest possible production times.
4 styles of canvas prints
There are 4 types of canvas prints you can choose from when you get started on your creative journey here. There are basic canvas prints, desktop canvases, gallery wall displays, and photo collage prints. Canvas prints come in over 24 different sizes that can be made into squares or rectangles. Desktop canvases come in 5" x7" or 8" x10" dimensions and include a stand as well as hooks for hanging on walls. Gallery wall displays come in 3, 5, 6, 9, or 10 pieces in a variety of sizes to make the perfect canvas wall for your home or office. Last but not least, the collage option allows you to select a design you like and drag and drop the photos you want into the existing spaces. Some have little phrases or words on them, while others are just photos.
Straightforward creation process
Putting your canvas print together on Canvas On Demand's platform is as easy as can be. After selecting the style you want, you'll select a size and frame style. You can choose from a thick, frameless wrap or a black, walnut, or white frame. Then you begin customizing by uploading your photos from your phone or computer and typing in text (if applicable). They don't have a photo editing or touch-up service, so you'll need to make sure you use a photo you're completely happy with or edit it through another software beforehand.
A pop-up appeared when we reached Canvas On Demand's website saying customers could receive up to 93% off if they sign up for the company's email list. We aren't sure if this means you get a one-time discount code or you're just on the list to receive exclusive deals, but this is a potential way to save money. Either way, you won't spend too much here. All their products are majorly discounted, making this a competitively-priced place to get canvas prints. Customers can expect to pay about $14.95 for economy shipping for the first item and $4.95 for each additional.
Work through the company to fix issues
There isn't a typical return policy at Canvas On Demand. If you aren't completely satisfied with the end result of your purchase, the company asks that you let them know so they can work with you to fix the issue. You'll need to include your order number, description of the problem, and attach a photo of the issue. This means you could possibly get a refund or the company will send you an exchange. There is no specified window as to when you'll need to reach out to the company, but sooner is always better.
Excellent service and quality
Thousands of customers have used Canvas On Demand for years and have received excellent quality each time. It's not uncommon to hear that orders arrived much faster than people expected and that the finished product is beautiful and ready to hang right away. We are impressed with the quality, speed, and pricing from Canvas On Demand, so even though they don't have a Better Business Bureau rating, we don't hesitate to give them one of our highest ratings.
Simple Canvas Prints offers quite a few customizable products. In addition to canvas prints, you can create custom star maps, custom city maps, overlays, wall displays, canvases, multi canvas prints, and home decor. If you're a big fan of this company and want to give someone the chance to create their own wall art, you can also purchase gift cards from Simple Canvas Prints. They've been featured by prominent media outlets like The New York Times, Inc., HGTV, FamilyCircle, and InStyle.
Best for medium to small size prints
The canvas print sizes here range from 8" x8" to 30" x36" in landscape, portrait, or square orientations. They don't offer custom sizes and the available dimensions might be restricting for some people who want really big prints. When you upload your photo from your desktop, Facebook, or Instagram, the platform will make sure that the picture you're using will work well with the canvas size you choose to help you avoid pixelation or distortion.
Basic canvas creation
The wrap thickness options for your canvas print include 0.75" deep at no extra charge, 1.5" deep for an extra $37, or rolled with no frame at no extra charge. You can have your photo wrap around the edges of the canvas or opt for a white or black border. Before you add your final product to the cart, you'll be able to drag your image around and center it how you'd like as well as add optional filters. Unfiltered photos, sepia, and black and white are free, or for an extra $4.99 you could add a comic book or pop art filter.
Design services available
If you're looking for more intensive work on the photo you're using on your canvas print, you can take advantage of Simple Canvas Prints' designer services prior to creating your canvas. For $5.99 they'll do a simple touch-up to take care of minor adjustments to color and contrast and remove red-eye. A Simple Enhancement package takes 2-3 business days and gets rid of blemishes, scratches, eye color change, date stamp removal, background removal and more for $12.99. Lastly, for $19.95 and a 3-5 business day wait time, you can have major retouches with the Simple Makeover package to remove wrinkles, scars, objects, and people from the photo.
Love it or your money back
Simple Canvas Prints boasts that their products are up to 90% off. Their website features a "prices" page where you can quickly and easily see what your costs will be if you buy here. They offer highly competitive prices, so no matter what, you're getting an awesome deal. They guarantee their products with their 100% "Love It" policy that says whether you make a mistake on your canvas or they do, you'll be able to get a full refund. They ask that you cut a big section out of the middle of the canvas or draw a big, permanent "x" across it, upload a photo, and then send it to customer service before initiating your refund. The company also offers free shipping, which is a nice perk.
Excellent reviews from customers
The Better Business Bureau gives Simple Canvas Prints an "A+" rating. In addition, they have hundreds of customer reviews that are almost all positive. People happily report that their canvases turn out exactly as they hoped, delivery is timely, and customer service is personal and attentive. This company has many repeat customers that say they are never disappointed with their purchase. If you want a quality, inexpensive, easy-to-make canvas print, Simple Canvas Prints lives up to its name and promises.
Canvas Discount is a photo printing store that sells more than just canvas prints. You can make custom photo blankets, mugs, towels, pillows, rugs, and puzzles. You can create canvas prints with the photos you have directly from your phone or computer. The company says all their items are ready to ship within 24 hours, so you can create and receive your products within days.
Simple platform to use
After you've uploaded the photo you want for your canvas print, you can choose from 19 size options. You'll also select whether or not you want the canvas to come with a hanger set, how thick you want the frame to be, and how you want your edges to look. You can even add text to your canvas print if you want to. The whole process is easy to understand and takes a matter of minutes at most. What's lacking here is the ability to touch up your photos, adjust lighting, get rid of red eyes, remove date stamps, and other features that we've seen through competitors.
If you sign up to receive marketing emails from Canvas Discount, you'll get a free canvas print. The company doesn't say how big the print is, but you can't complain about free things, right? When we were writing this review, there was a big seasonal sale going on where the inventory from Canvas Discount was 89% off. From what we can tell, this isn't really just seasonal and they offer prices like this year-round. Like many of their competitors, Canvas Discount guarantees that they offer the lowest prices by beating any identical product from another retailer by 10%. If you spend over $70 here, you'll also get free shipping.
Satisfaction or your money back
Canvas Discount says they are so committed to quality and customer satisfaction that you can return your order within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. All you have to do is email the company with your order number, email address, reason for return, digital photo of the delivered print, and whether you would prefer a replacement or refund.
No company phone number
We did notice that there are no hours listed for customer service and no phone number either. Everything suggests that the only option to contact this company is by email. Although this is not necessarily a bad thing, it could take a while to hear back through email and it's harder to "nag" or continually follow up this way rather than getting someone on the phone directly.
Canvas Discount is run by a company called Picanova. They, like Canvas Discount, have hundreds of positive reviews, but they've also had over 280 complaints filed against the business, resulting in a "B" rating from the Better Business Bureau. Despite this, there are tens of thousands of customers who are thrilled with Canvas Discount and say that no matter how many times they've ordered here, they always get exactly what they hoped for. The good definitely seems to outweigh the bad and with prices as low as you'll find here, it's definitely worth pursuing Canvas Discount.
Canvas People has a professional-looking website that's easy to navigate. In addition to canvas prints, Canvas People lets customers personalize pillows, face masks, metal prints, mugs, plaques, magnets, blankets, yard signs, and ornaments. All their products are made in the USA and to date they've sold over 2 million products. If you need to reach their customer service, you can do so by phone or send a request through the website.
Make a canvas in 5 easy steps
When you reach Canvas People's site, you'll immediately be prompted to either start creating a canvas or collage. Either can be done in five easy steps:
Put the artists to work
There are three types of photo enhancement options that Canvas People's artists will personally perform to optimize your print. A basic enhancement (an additional $9.99) balances color and lighting. A standard photo enhancement (an additional $12.99) removes any red eyes, gets rid of timestamps, and centers the photo. Advanced photo remastering (an additional $22.99) is the third option that includes sharpening and enhancing the definition of edges to get rid of blurring, skin smoothing, blemish removal, and teeth whitening.
All of the canvas prints from Canvas People are advertised as being about 70% off. This isn't a temporary sale, but rather a way of drawing attention to their competitive prices. You'll pay extra if you want any photo enhancement done or if you choose to add a frame to your canvas. A black, white, or espresso frame runs anywhere from $12.95 to $29.95 depending on the size and thickness of the canvas you're having printed. For an additional $3.99, their photo edits will crop and center your photo for you as well.
Shipping cost discrepancies
There are some discrepancies on Canvas People's website about the cost of shipping canvases. Some places say the cost for shipping is only $2.99 per canvas up to an 18" x24" size and other places on the website advertise shipping as just $1.99. On their shipping page it says standard shipping costs range from $9.95 to $24.95, so unfortunately it will take checking out online to see what your actual shipping cost will be based on what you're buying. It takes 7-10 business days for canvases to be delivered anywhere within the continental United States. For those in Hawaii, it takes closer to 10-12 business days.
Canvas People proudly acknowledges that they rarely encounter situations where people have issues with their order or are unsatisfied with their canvas. If that happens to be the case for you, they recommend you contact their customer service team to work through it. They guarantee 100% satisfaction on all their products, and they will happily replace a damaged canvas within 30 days of delivery. Customers won't be refunded for orders unless there are defects in the workmanship or materials.
A good, well-liked option
We have no doubt that Canvas People does quality work for their customers. We did feel like their processes are slightly less straightforward than what we've seen from other companies since there are more optional add-on services than many of their rivals. We also wish their shipping prices were more clear. However, this isn't reason enough not to shop here - especially once you hear that they have sky high customer ratings. Thousands of buyers stand by this company for its beautiful work, fast delivery, and fantastic customer service. To top it off, they also have an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. Canvas People is definitely a good option for customers.
Canvaspop began in 2009 to help customers turn their favorite memories into canvas art. They boast that they only use the highest quality materials in the industry and never cut corners. They are heavily customer-focused and offer a 100% "love it" guarantee on all their products. Canvaspop has been featured by Forbes, Buzzfeed, Huffpost, Los Angeles Times, and Mashable.
Goes beyond canvas prints
Something unique about Canvaspop is that aside from selling canvas prints, framed prints, photo collages, word art prints, and pet portraits, they have a gallery of designer-inspired wall art that can be purchased for your home if you don't want to use a photo of your own. There are hundreds of choices within categories like abstract art, modern art, fine art, landscapes, botanical, animals, kid art, and more.
Easy canvas print creation
Canvas prints are the most popular product offered by Canvaspop. Customers can upload a photo of their choice from their computer, phone, Facebook, or Instagram to get started. Next, you'll choose from a list of sizes or provide custom dimensions of your own. You can choose the type of edge you want for your canvas (black border, photo wrap, white border, deep canvas wrap, or a frame). Frames are an additional cost that ranges based on the size of print you've selected. You can also pay extra to add a filter to your photo, which costs anywhere from $9.95 to $25. Lastly, Canvaspop offers a touch-up service for $9.95, enhancement for $29.95, or a makeover for $49.95 that you can add instructions for if you'd like.
On the expensive side
The cost to create a canvas print here is definitely more than what we've seen from some other companies. Just a simple 8" x10" starts at $76 and that doesn't include any add-on costs that you might choose. Surely you'll get high quality work from Canvaspop, but we also know this is the case with some of our higher-rated sites.
Orders take 6-14 days for delivery
With standard shipping, your order from Canvaspop will arrive within 10-14 business days for $14. If you need it in a hurry, you can select rush shipping for $39 and get it in 6 business days after you've approved your digital proof.
Guaranteed for life
The Love it for Life Guarantee covers any issues related to your canvas upon receipt like shipping damage, scratches, or flaws in the piece. It also guarantees that the print won't sag or fade over time. If you run into any issues, you can contact their customer service team via email and they'll make it right. They also recommend reaching out to their customer service team if you aren't 100% happy with your print. We aren't sure if it's possible to get a refund for it, but we imagine they'll likely work with you to reprint the canvas.
Good option, but not the best
We like that Canvaspop has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, but we wish they had customer feedback for us to consider. They don't have unfiltered product reviews on their website, but they do have over 18,000 handpicked 5 out of 5 star ratings from customers. These aren't super reliable since they are filtered, but it shows they've had a lot of verified buyers. Canvaspop is likely a great place to get a canvas print, but they are more expensive than what you can find elsewhere. Because of this, they've earned an average rating from us.
CanvasWorld boasts affordable, museum-quality canvas prints. Their products range from photo collages to multi canvas prints and Instagram canvases. You can upload your favorite photos from your computer or any photo-sharing service to create a hand-built canvas at CanvasWorld, or buy one of their pre-designed images. The company uses environmentally-friendly technologies with the latest color profiling systems to produce all their photo canvas creations.
Step by step process
To get started on your canvas print from CanvasWorld, you'll choose the canvas depth you prefer (3/4" or 1 1/4" ). Next, you'll specify whether you want your print to be in landscape, portrait, or square orientation. From there you'll see a list of size options and pricing. Photo uploading is the next step where CanvasWorld lets you choose a picture from your desktop, phone, Instagram, Facebook, Dropbox, Google Drive, or Google Photos.
Several retouching options
Some of the editing features on CanvasWorld's platform include putting a filter over your photo, doing a mirror image flip, rotating, dragging the image around, zooming in and out, and viewing it as a 3D image on canvas. Complimentary retouching is free if all you need is a little color correction, brightness/contrast adjustment, sharpening, or red eye removal. This is probably sufficient for most images. However, if you need more than this - like removing a timestamp, whitening teeth, removing background objects, or other specific retouches - there are packages you can pay for. A basic retouch package is $25, moderate retouching is $50, and deluxe retouching is $75.
Optional dust cover and frame
Included on all canvas prints are just classic backs that make it easy to hang on a wall. CanvasWorld doesn't specify whether or not it comes with all the equipment needed, so we aren't sure if you'll need to do any additional work once your item arrives. For an additional $10 you could get a dust cover on the back or pay $69 for a floating frame in either walnut, black, or white.
Look for a sale
The least expensive canvas print from CanvasWorld is a square 8" x 8" size on sale for $39. An 8" x10" is $45 and everything else is more expensive from there. The biggest possible size available is a 48" x36" for $249. These aren't extremely high prices, but you can get canvas prints for less elsewhere. At the time of this review, CanvasWorld was also running a promotion where you could get an extra 25% off your purchase, plus free shipping. If you buy here when they are running a sale like that, you can feel confident you're getting your canvas prints at a good cost. If you don't buy here during a free shipping promo, the standard cost is $14.95 for the first item and $7.99 for each additional.
CanvasWorld has a satisfaction guarantee that states you can get a replacement or complete refund within 30 days of delivery if you aren't happy with your canvas print. The company doesn't specify the necessary steps to get this taken care of, but they list a phone number on their website and have a live chat feature you could use to reach them. CanvasWorld also offers a lifetime guarantee on their products that ensures it to be free of warping, cracking, or defective workmanship. If at some point you run into a problem with your canvas print, CanvasWorld will replace it for free.
There aren't a ton of customer reviews for CanvasWorld. And from what there is, they aren't great. Some common issues people have run into are slow delivery times, sometimes taking months to receive canvases while others never receive them at all. Some customers have been told that CanvasWorld doesn't guarantee the arrival of your items since they use third-party vendors. What?! Customer service seems to be hard to work with and can't do a lot about late shipments even when people have paid extra to rush them. The Better Business Bureau gives CanvasWorld an "A+" rating, but there are no reviews or complaints on the profile page to explain that grade. CanvasWorld appears to be a professional and solid place to buy canvas prints, but their mixed reviews have earned them a slightly lower score from us.
VistaPrint was created to help business owners design and create custom, up-to-date marketing materials through an assortment of products like business cards, labels and stickers, promotional products, signs, and banners. They are best known for their business cards, but they also offer hundreds of different types of customizable materials, including custom canvas prints.
Canvas prints aren't their specialty
VistaPrint definitely doesn't specialize in canvas prints or wall art. They don't pretend to, either. They don't have a category for canvas prints, so to get started, you'll need to search for them on their website. You'll see a list of different images with dimensions attached to them ranging from 8" x12" to 24" x36" . There are only five size options, so right away we acknowledge that this isn't going to work for everyone.
Make unique designs
You can sort the canvas prints by events, styles and themes, if you want a logo area, color, orientation, and frame. A lot of the products have designs around the photos, text boxes, clipart, and other features that make them unique. You can do a lot more with your canvas print here than just slapping on a single photo. The images you upload will need to come from the device you're using and then you can start dragging and dropping photo and text boxes, adding shapes and graphics, and even creating a QR code for the canvas. Once you have everything the way you like it, you can preview the creation, double check the accuracy of it, and add it to your cart.
Not meant for photo editing
VistaPrint is not meant to be a photo editing service and doesn't have a team of professionals waiting to smooth over wrinkles or edit out background noise from the pictures you're wanting to use. Rather, they have a platform where you can use the photos you have to make unique art.
Less expensive than expected
You can't sort the canvas prints by price, but they are clearly labeled so you know what to expect. We were impressed with the inexpensive pricing from VistaPrint, especially considering how big and well-known of a retailer this is. At the time of this review, they also had a sale going on for 20% off of photo products. The cost for shipping is based on your order total, so the more you order, the more shipping is. However, the cost is nothing outrageous. You'll at least pay $5.99 for standard shipping and pay just $11.99 at most.
VistaPrint doesn't make it easy to see what the final product will look like, the materials the canvas is made of, or the hanging tools it comes with. We wish there was a bit more detail in this regard. In fact, the product listings look more like greeting cards than actual canvas prints, so you'll have to use your imagination to trust that you're going to get what you hope for. Thankfully VistaPrint guarantees everything they sell 100%. This means if you aren't satisfied with your canvas print they'll work to make it right. They will reprint your order if needed, issue an account credit, or refund you in full if that's the best solution. They ask that you contact their customer service team with any issues you have and work through it together.
There are better options
VistaPrint has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, but reading through their customer reviews is somewhat of a rollercoaster ride. Quite a few people are thrilled with VistaPrint and have used them for years without running into issues. Others felt like the website was less user-friendly than they would have liked and said their orders took a long time to arrive. Overall, there don't seem to be any major quality issues with the products produced by VistaPrint, which is reassuring. They are great at responding to all their customer reviews with specific explanations to help resolve issues people have. We trust that this is a reliable company with a good customer service team, but there are better, canvas print-specific companies that may provide a better experience than VistaPrint.
Snapfish is all about helping people capture and treasure special moments through photos. Whether it be through small standard prints, canvas prints, cards, photo books, home decor, photo tiles, or a big range of photo gifts for a loved one, you'll be able to transform some of your favorite photos into something special here. The company was founded in 1999 and is based out of San Francisco, California.
Customers wanting canvas prints from Snapfish can either get non-framed, framed, square, panoramic, collage prints, split canvas sets, or 4" x6" canvas prints that are great for tabletop display. Right away we recognized that the size options for any of these products are more limited than what you can find elsewhere. For example, a simple canvas print only has a range of 10 sizes between 8" x10" and 16" x40" . Although these are probably some of the most popular sizes people will be looking for anyway, it still is limiting for people wanting an oversized option or wanting to do custom dimensions.
Not the cheapest option
Snapfish doesn't advertise massive savings like some other canvas print sites do. You aren't going to get 90% off of your order here. Although we don't expect that, it's hard to want to spend the extra money when other retailers with high customer satisfaction offer similar products for a lot less. A simple, non-framed 8" x10" canvas print at Snapfish is $46.49, which is at least double the price we've found elsewhere. Adding a frame is an additional cost and you should expect to pay at least $15.99 for shipping and up to $36.99 if you want your order rushed. At the time of this review, there was a discount code for 55% off, which is a huge savings here, so there are definitely opportunities for big savings if you're shopping at the right time.
Robust canvas creation platform
Where Snapfish does outshine some of their competition is their robust platform. You can upload a photo from your computer, Google Photos, Facebook, or Instagram. Multiple photos can be added and arranged to your liking on a single canvas. There are tons of layouts you can use, different design variation ideas, a long list of backgrounds, embellishments, and even options for adding text. Customers can get extremely creative here since Snapfish lets you do a lot more than simply drag and drop one photo to be printed on your canvas. We do wish there were more options for fine-tuning the photo you're using rather than just adjusting the layout of the canvas. There are no editing tools or features to help you get rid of red eye, time stamps, or other imperfections on your pictures.
Work with customer service to ensure happiness
If you're unhappy with your Snapfish order, you can return it. The company doesn't outline the steps needed to take care of that, but rather they say to contact customer service with the order number and description of the problem to get it fixed. For most issues, the company will try to remake the canvas print at no extra charge. If this isn't a good resolution, they'll offer you a refund. There is no specified amount of days you have to contact customer service after your order arrives, so they might not be too picky about it.
Low standards of quality
Snapfish only has a "D-" rating from the Better Business Bureau due to their failure to resolve over 30 formal complaints. The vast majority of customers have bad things to say about doing business with this company because of low quality photos, canvas prints not being delivered on time, receiving orders for the wrong customer, and a long list of other major problems. A lot of these people claim Snapfish has gone downhill over the years and no longer upholds a high standard for product quality. This is disappointing and it's the primary reason we've given them a low rating.
In addition to canvas prints, Easy Canvas Prints has metal and acrylic photo printing options for customers. You can also create custom mouse pads, pillows, puzzles, coasters, face masks, blankets, mugs, and calendars. According to the Better Business Bureau, Easy Canvas Prints started in 2010, but the company doesn't provide information about themselves on their website.
Visualize your print size and photo
You can create basic canvas prints, large canvas prints, and collages through Easy Canvas Prints. Your first step will be selecting the size you want. Easy Canvas Prints will generate a graphic based on the size you choose to help you get a visual of how big the print you're wanting is going to look on a wall. You can upload a photo from your desktop, Facebook, or Instagram and visualize it in the space, which is helpful.
The only features to work with on Easy Canvas Prints are cropping and rotating your photo. This means you'll need your photo to look exactly as you want it before uploading it here since they don't offer retouching services.
When we were shopping at Easy Canvas Prints, they had markdowns up to 86%. This means you can get an 11" x 14" canvas print for as little as $15 here. To find the cost of a custom size, simply input the dimensions you want (up to 44" x 60" ) and look at the price. The cost to ship your canvas print will be $9.99 for standard shipping (2 business days), $19.99 for rush shipping (next business day), or $212.33 for expedited shipping (1-2 days).
Lots of add-ons
Every canvas print includes a standard canvas wrap with a .75" depth. For $20.31 more, you can upgrade to a gallery wrap with a 1.5" depth instead. Frames range from $59.99 to $69.98 depending on the material and come in brown, black, white, barnwood, and silver colors. The print will have an open back, but customers have the option to add a dust cover for $11.72. A basic wall mount is $1.99 or you can pay $4.99 for a wall hanging system that holds up to 75 lbs and includes a balance level for precise placement. Before adding your canvas print to your cart, you'll have one last add-on option for $6.99 that makes your canvas UV- and fade-resistant to protect it from scratches, smudges, and fingerprints. All these little upgrades are ways the company is making up for their extraordinarily low base canvas print prices.
Overall, Easy Canvas Prints has mixed customer satisfaction ratings. Their website features over 1,000,000 customer reviews, which is more than we've seen from any other retailer. We aren't sure that these are unfiltered, so we instead are relying on their "A-" rating from the Better Business Bureau and hundreds of reviews found other places online. In recent months the company has received a lot of criticism for blurred canvas quality, orders that were never received, discounts that changed during checkout, and other issues. We are also concerned by the fact that there is no return policy here. Because of this, Easy Canvas Prints isn't a place we highly recommend shopping.
CanvasChamp started in 2012 with only 8 employees. By 2018 they'd delivered over 2 million products and worked with over 180 designers and artisans. CanvasChamp has a big selection of product options that you can custom print including home decor of all kinds and photo gifts like pillows, cutting boards, magnets, coasters, tote bags, luggage tags, and much more. They promise to be one of the best online printing solutions for photo gifts to make "your home feel homier with your creativity."
Sleek platform and features
Unsurprisingly, canvas prints are one of the most popular products at CanvasChamp. You can choose standard sizes like 5" x7" or 16" x20" but you also have the option to put in custom dimensions up to 54" x54" . Once you select the size you want, you upload your PNG, JPG, or BMP file and can adjust your photo slightly to fit perfectly on the canvas preview screen. Red eye removal, color enhancement, date stamp removal, and image lightening/darkening are features you can play around with. There are choices for different wraps as well as borders and frames to finish off your canvas print to look the way you want. You can choose to add hooks for hanging, an easel stand, or a dust cover back to your order if you need one.
Cheap canvas prints
When you reach CanvasChamp's website, a popup is displayed advertising a free 8" x8" canvas print with email signup. They also had a "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" deal on canvas prints running at the time of this review, which is a great deal as long as it's legit. The prices on their canvases are unrivaled, with most of them being 87%-93% off. Standard shipping is $9.99, which isn't bad either. We question the quality of the photos from CanvasChamp since they offer such massive discounts. As much as we love to save money, this can sometimes indicate that corners are cut and quality isn't going to be very good.
110% price match guarantee
If the extremely low prices from CanvasChamp aren't enough, they also throw in a 110% price match guarantee. This means that if you find an identical product through a competitor, they'll not only match the price, but also take an additional 10% off of it. To qualify, you'll need to either call or email their customer service team with details about the item.
Something reassuring is that CanvasChamp guarantees their prints 100%. This means that if you aren't completely happy with your purchase, they'll either refund you the entire amount or reproduce it for free within 90 days of receipt. Refunds are processed within 7 days of receiving your return or receiving a complaint.
"F" Better Business Bureau rating
A concern we have about CanvasChamp is an alert about the company put out by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They've questioned whether or not the advertising claims made by the company like "Up to 93% off canvas prints" or "Lowest price guaranteed" are truthful and sincere. In addition, CanvasChamp is a subsidiary of Prints & Signs International, LLC, and the Better Business Bureau warns that this company has a pattern of complaints about the merchandise they sell. These two issues, along with a lot of negative customer complaints about the company not honoring their guarantees, play into CanvasChamp's "F" rating from the BBB. Although you aren't spending a lot of money here, it may not be worth taking the risk to order a canvas print when the company appears somewhat unreliable. Check out a higher-ranked retailer for a shopping experience that's less likely to disappoint.
Photo Canvas Land is based out of Atlanta, Georgia and was founded in 2000. They specialize in designing and developing canvas and other photo products. The company's goal is to bring high-quality photo canvas to mainstream customers through the use of creative and emerging technologies. This is all wonderful and dandy, but if the quality of the canvas prints here is anything like the quality of Photo Canvas Land's website, there is reason for concern.
Behind the times
The appeal of a company's website doesn't always determine the quality of their work, but it does seem to reflect the effort that they're putting into their business. Photo Canvas Land is badly in need of a makeover. This is obvious based on this line running across the top of their home page: "Photo Canvas Land is now mobile-friendly! If you are experiencing issues, press Ctrl+F5 to refresh the page, or contact us." It seems like they are a little behind the times.
4 canvas options
The four types of canvas you can purchase from Photo Canvas Land include gallery wrap, standard wrap, rolled, and mini. They also mount canvases on gatorboard, sintra PVC, and bamboo. Other product categories include fine art prints, prints and mounting, and photo gifts (like wall clings, magnets, ornaments, and desktop blocks).
Basic canvas print creation process
When you're ready to start designing your canvas print, you'll start by uploading a photo from the files on your device. You won't be able to use pictures from Instagram, Facebook, or any other social platform. Next, you'll choose from a long list of sizes ranging from 8" x8" to 60" x30" . We'll give Photo Canvas Land kudos for having ample size options, since we have rarely seen so many. When you click on a size, you'll see three prices: rolled canvas, standard wrap, and gallery wrap. The last steps are to choose the bleed (the way the sides appear) and decide whether or not you want to pay $4.99 extra for a dust cover on the back and/or upgrade to a matte coating for $1.
The pricing for all canvas prints is really transparent here, laying out the cost of each size based on the type of wrap you choose. All prints are fairly cheap and Photo Canvas Land says they offer everything at wholesale prices. On one page of the website it says that all items ship for a flat fee of $8.95 and in another place it says the cost is $9.95. If you opt for expedited shipping (canvas ships within 3 business days) the cost is $24.95.
Photo Canvas Land advertises that they do free photo enhancements, but nowhere along the process of creating our canvas was this an option. They also say they do free gallery wrapping, but from what we saw, there is an extra charge for it. These are pretty glaring discrepancies that we aren't impressed with.
Customers have to create an account
To add your photo canvas to your cart, you have to create an account with Photo Canvas Land. This means providing your email, first and last name, and creating a password. We aren't big fans of this unnecessary extra step and wish there was a guest checkout option.
If you are less than thrilled with your canvas print from Photo Canvas Land once it arrives, you can return it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or free replacement. There isn't a process written out for how to go about returning your print, so we recommend contacting the company by phone or email (listed on the website) to make sure you take the proper steps.
Few to no customer ratings
There aren't many customer reviews about Photo Canvas Land. We aren't very surprised since it doesn't seem like this is a popular place to buy canvases online and we can't imagine business is booming based on their lack of effort on their own website. They also don't have a Better Business Bureau rating which is disappointing. Overall, this company needs to put more effort into correcting discrepancies on their website and making it more appealing. This isn't a company we recommend buying canvas prints from.

Before choosing a canvas print retailer, we suggest you keep the following criteria in mind:
To help you identify the best place to order canvas prints, TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked a variety of options. We hope this information helps you create a beautiful work of art that you'll enjoy looking at day after day.
We've all had a "Kodak" moment. Maybe it was the first time you saw a baby fawn taking its first steps in a field. Maybe it was that fantastic waterfall you encountered at the end of a hike in the wilderness. Or maybe it was just your grandma, sitting on her rocking chair on the front porch of her hundred-year-old home. Whatever the moment, we've all had one where we just knew it would make a memorable photo.
Photos that can only be classified as "Kodak" moments definitely are the kinds that make excellent canvas art.
But what, exactly, is canvas art?
Canvas art is created through a specialized printer which requires special eight to 12 color inkjet printers containing UV-resistant ink. You want to use UV-resistant ink because if the canvas will be hung on a wall, it most likely will at some point be exposed to sunlight, which can cause it to fade. UV-resistant ink helps to slow the fading process. The printer is designed to accommodate canvas, which is heavier than most of the kinds of paper we use in our home and office printers.
A high-resolution photo or digital image is then taken, scanned into a computer, and printed onto the canvas with the special printer.
Once you understand the process, it is much easier to choose photos or digital images which would lend themselves to the creation of a good canvas piece.
The first step in choosing a picture that would make a good canvas print is to make sure the image being used is of a high resolution. Most new cameras are capable of 8 to 12 megapixel images, with more expensive digital SLR cameras able to produce even higher resolutions. The general rule of thumb is if the image isn't at least 350 dpi (dots per inch), it will not reproduce well onto canvas. If you are unsure whether your photo or digital image is of good enough quality for printing onto canvas, consider consulting a professional photographer or canvas art business before placing an order. They should be able to review the image or print photo and tell you if it will reproduce well.
If the quality of the photo is acceptable, you also may want to ask the printing company if they are able to edit or "brush up" the photo for you. Issues like red eye, smears and even dust on the lens of the camera can transfer to your canvas art. These are all things that with the right photo-editing equipment - such as Photoshop - can be altered to create a better-looking image.
Among some of the images which have found their way onto canvas include:
The list of what can be transferred to canvas is endless and truly depends on the taste of the individual who is ordering the piece.
