Art sells exactly what you would expect: wall decor, prints, and other decorations to beautify your home or office. Although their canvas prints are not the main focus of their site, they do form a logical part of what this business has to offer.
Same but different
The Art brand also owns the All Posters company. Although you'll find the same interface for uploading photos (called Photos To Art on this site and My Photo on All Posters'), same shipping fees starting at $7.99, same delivery speeds - and the same overall lack of options for customization - we did find a few differences.
Slow to upload image
First, our photos took much longer to upload on the Art site. The first time, we got stuck on the "loading" page and had to refresh the browser. We also found one extra canvas size with Art than what was offered on the All Posters' site, which could be important if you have a very specific set of dimensions you're looking to get with your canvas print.
Higher base prices, but larger discount
Also, the base prices on Art were considerably higher: an $8 difference on a basic 8x10 canvas print. But, interestingly, the final price was the same when we looked - because All Posters was offering a 50% discount, while Art was offering an 80% discount! This confirmed that, for all intents and purposes, your order at Art is no different from ordering through All Posters, unless you happen to need that one extra canvas size (Art) or you really need a fast upload for your photos (All Posters).
That does give Art two of the same positives: an A+ with the Better Business Bureau, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee where you can return your canvas print for any reason within 30 days of delivery. Art will either replace your purchase or give you a refund.
But, compared with other companies offering canvas prints - and even with its own sister brand - Art just doesn't keep up.
Gone are the days where the best way to display a treasured photograph was in a traditional frame. Most home decoration TV shows, magazines, and websites feature canvas prints as the most modern-yet-elegant format for showing off your children, favorite scenic shots from a vacation, or even spotlighting your four-legged family members.
Using a canvas print takes your images from a flat, two-dimensional aspect and pops them out as a 3-D work of art. Whether you're buying a canvas print for yourself or as a gift to commemorate a special occasion, ordering it online can save you time and money while still resulting in the pixel-perfect quality you'd expect if you entrusted the project to a local photographer and print shop.
When working with an online supplier of canvas prints, you'll find that the best websites will walk you through everything you need to know - from how to select an ideal image, the best canvas size for your selected photograph, which framing to use, and which touch-up services like fixing color balance or adding text elements might give it a special touch.
How can you tell which canvas print company you should use for your next project? Services vary widely, so as you decide which one would meet your needs, keep these factors in mind:
