Which Catholic Dating Service is the Best?  Many Catholic singles have turned to online dating sites to find their like-minded spouse. Dating sites are popping up everywhere, changing the way millions of Catholic singles meet. With so many choices, how do you know which Catholic dating site is for you, especially if you're looking for someone with a specific belief system?
CatholicMatch calls itself the "largest and most successful website for single Catholics." Co-founders Jason and Brian take pride in hearing success stories, including marriages, babies, and always appreciate the thank-you notes for fostering a genuine community. Their three promises are: to respect and care for your experience, connect you with great matches and helpful content, and provide excellent service with privacy and security.
Test out the site with a free account
The basic account is the default option on CatholicMatch. You can display your profile, view and "like" other profiles, receive messages, and participate in matching. This option is an excellent way to see how many Catholic singles are available in your area, and to check out the tools they provide for finding you a match.
You'll want a subscription if you're looking for a match
Once you've explored the site and assessed potential matches for free, consider purchasing a subscription. This unlocks full communication features, including sending and reading messages without delay. Subscription fees support free coaching for subscribers, religious education to nourish marriages, safety features, and more. What does it cost? CatholicMatch doesn't put that out there until you create a profile, but our research suggests you should expect it to be $15 to $20 per month.
Take your time to fill out the questionnaire
CatholicMatch has created a detailed Match Portrait, a questionnaire that covers key areas where successful couples typically complement each other, such as values, personality, and outlook on life. Each Portrait is scored and compared with other profiles to suggest potential matches based on compatibility. Don't worry if the questions seem a bit personal - no one will see (or judge) your answers. Just be honest, so the best matches are sent your way.
Are you free to marry in the Catholic Church?
For consistency and in keeping with their mission, CatholicMatch only suggests matches to those who are free and able to marry in the Catholic church.
There's a lot of help on this site
CatholicMatch's CM+ offers thousands of articles, both in print and video, covering Catholic topics as well as dating and marriage advice. These articles are free to access, even if you don't have a subscription or profile with CatholicMatch.
Looking for tips on dating, marriage, holidays, and more?
CatholicMatch has thought of it all. There are more than five courses you can take, for a fee, to learn about all things dating, plus Lent and Advent. If you need to give your dating life a boost, consider signing up for one of these courses.
It's our #1
With over a million registered members, a high success rate, reasonable membership prices, an "A+" Better Business Bureau rating, plus free articles on dating, marriage and more, CatholicMatch is your best bet for finding a spiritually-compatible partner. We give this Catholic dating service five stars and our highest ranking.
Spark Networks launched Christian Mingle in 2001, and it has grown to quite a large community of over 16 million members, all of whom are connected by their shared Christian faith and goal of finding a partner with similar beliefs. Christian Mingle has been honored with recognitions in the Religion & Spirituality category at the Webby Awards and they've been the Editor's Top Pick Christian Award by DatingSiteReviews.
Christian focus with Catholic options
Christian Mingle has a large dating pool of Christians, and in their questionnaire, you can select your denomination from 23 options, including Catholic. It also asks if you have a religious preference for your matches. Choosing Catholic for both yourself and potential matches may narrow the results, but it ensures you'll be connected with like-minded individuals.
Free membership to test out the site
See if Christian Mingle is for you before you become a paid member. Create a profile, use your Catholic preference filters, and see how many singles are in your area. This is about all you can do without paying for the membership, but it should be enough to find out if Christian Mingle is worth signing up for.
Paid membership has more benefits
The paid membership allows you full access to the site, meaning to message other users and begin conversation with those people you find interesting as a potential match. You can also hide your online status and browse anonymously. How much does it cost? Expect to get 1 month for $49.99, 3 months for $104.97 ($34.99 per month), or 6 months for $149.94 ($24.99 per month).
Swipe feature
If you like swiping through profiles, Christian Mingle's LookBook feature lets you look at profiles one at a time, allowing you to "heart" them or skip them. If you "heart" a person, they will know that an anonymous person "hearted" them. If you both "heart" each other, you'll be included in each other's Mutual Like list.
Boost your profile
Christian Mingle's Spotlight feature boosts your profile to the top of the search results so you can get more attention. Choose the Spotlight feature time period from one day ($2.99) to 30 days ($14.99). Spotlight's a nice way to be assured that people are seeing you.
Encourage and enhance your Christian dating experience
When you're looking for a little encouragement or advice, there are more than 275 free articles you can peruse to find motivation or direction. Take a break from your search, or while you're waiting for a reply from your match, and read an article or two to lift your spirits.
Love story successes?
Click on Success Stories, and you'll see more than 100 pages of people who have posted their Christian Mingle success stories, some including photos of their weddings. It's inspirational to get yourself out there on Christian Mingle and see what they can do for you.
An excellent option for all types of Catholics
Although Christian Mingle isn't specifically focused on Catholicism, it's a well-known Christian dating site. Set your profile and search parameters to Catholic, and ask potential matches about their faith. Whether you're a devout Catholic or Catholic by tradition or baptism, you can find matches with similar beliefs. The pricing is fair, and there are many Christian singles to connect with. Christian Mingle isn't our #1 Catholic dating site because it's not exclusively for Catholics, but it's still an excellent option.
Ave Maria Singles has been around since 1998 and is not your typical dating site. If you're looking for casual dating, this isn't the place. Their motto, "Where Devout Catholics Meet," is right on their homepage, reflecting their focus on connecting like-minded Catholics seeking a spouse who shares the depth of their faith.
Christian-inspired match test
You'll fill out a survey to help Ave Maria Singles understand more about you and what you're looking for in a match. If someone shares similar interests and values, they'll discreetly notify you, and you can take it from there.
They value your anonymity
You'll choose a username for the website and decide when, or if, you want to share your personal information with others. Of course, some users find it frustrating that they can only communicate with someone who has an anonymous username.
Serious Catholics only
If you are serious about your Catholic faith, beliefs, and practices and are looking for someone similar, you'll find that at Ave Maria Singles. This site isn't for those who are Catholic in name only. Also, members must prove that they are 18 years of age or older.
No previewing the site
It's always nice to preview a site for a feel of what membership would be like, but Ave Maria Singles doesn't allow it. You'll need to become a member to check out the site, members, and group meet-up offerings.
One-time payment, no monthly subscriptions
We love that Ave Maria Singles offers only two choices for membership: six months for $60 or $97 for a lifetime. For less than $100, the lifetime subscription is perfect and a great investment. And, you might be able to get it at an even lower price: when we reached out to Ave Maria Singles' customer service team, they offered us a membership at $39 for 6 months or just $57 for lifetime access.
Few members
One common complaint about Ave Maria Singles is the limited number of members to choose from. With about half of them likely not being the gender that you're looking for, the pool becomes even smaller. However, users who have found their spouse through the site often say patience is key- the right person will come along when it's meant to happen. Despite the smaller member base, many happy users agree that while there may not be quantity, there is certainly quality here.
Be open to longer distance
Because you may find only a few members in your state, many members have opened themselves up to either cross-country relationships or international relationships and haven't been disappointed. They communicated with video chat, and several of these couples have married.
European choices
If you're overseas or are open to meeting someone overseas, there are about seven sister sites that can help you meet people in Europe. You never know.
Singles have found success
Ave Maria Singles claims over 250 marriages have resulted from their site, a statement made in the early 2000's. On their website, about 40 couples have shared their success stories. As with many dating sites, reviews are mixed. Some users have found the love of their life, while others have noted too few members and a few reported that profiles didn't match the actual person.
A very good, inexpensive option for devout Catholics with patience and trust
The motto of Ave Maria Singles is "Where Devout Catholics Meet," which narrows the membership pool due to its focus on serious commitment to Catholic practices and beliefs. While this results in a smaller dating pool, particularly in your area, it ensures that you won't have to sift through hundreds of profiles looking for casual daters or those with beliefs far from your own. If your priority is your Catholic faith, this site helps you find like-minded individuals. Ave Maria Singles earns a high rating from us.
EliteSingles calls themselves a partnership service rather than a dating service, as they maintain the highest standards to help foster long-term commitment matches with American singles. They're not a Catholic dating service per se, but have filters where you can search for (elite) Catholics.
The personality test
EliteSingles' personality test is based on the Five Factor Model theory of personality traits established by McCrae and Costa (1972). You'll answer questions regarding your attitude towards relationships, your personality traits, and your communication skills. In addition to the personality test, they'll take into consideration your level of education, income, location, ideal age of partner, desire to have children, and more.
Basic membership is just to peruse
Start by taking the personality test, and you're allowed access with the limited, basic membership. You can view your own profile, look through partner suggestions and start a conversation with other EliteSingles members.
Premium membership has its privileges
What will it cost you to sign up here? When searching for pricing on EliteSingles, the site directs you to "click here," but all you'll find is information on how to purchase or cancel a subscription. There's no clear pricing until you go through the payment process. At the time of our review, research indicated that 3 months would be $173.85 ($57.95 per month), 6 months' access was $269.70 ($44.95 per month), and 12 months would cost $383.40 ($31.95 per month). Once you pay for a subscription, you can have unlimited communication with other Premium members and you can view all of everyone's photos.
Online magazine for dating ideas
EliteSingles' online magazine has a selection of great advice from their dating experts, including flirting online, selecting the right profile picture, and even fun date ideas. And, their customer care team is always ready if you need a little help.
Catholic(?) professionals looking for professionals
If you're looking for a dating match who's also a professional, EliteSingles is catered to you. You'll see that their home page, via our link, has the word Catholic sprinkled on it, as our search was for Catholic dating. EliteSingles does assure that they can be your Catholic dating site "with a country-wide reputation for matchmaking couples with shared faith, beliefs, and ambitions," but of course you'll find more elite singles here than just Catholics.
We'd give them a chance
If you're looking to find like-minded professionals with your desired level of education and income, that's what EliteSingles is all about. They assure you that they can help you find elite Catholic matches as well. We like that their parent company is Spark Networks, with a family of reputable dating sites. EliteSingles is a bit pricey, but that encourages those in a higher income bracket to join. When you choose Catholicism for your filters, you can be presented with Catholic matches. If you're looking for a dating site for devout Catholics only, though, try one of our other highly recommended dating sites.
Catholic Chemistry's founder Chuck Gallucci noticed a lack of options for singles who took their Catholic faith seriously after using dating sites to find his spouse. After marrying and having three children, he still felt for others seeking a partner with similar faith. He created Catholic Chemistry, designing both the website and app, to help people deepen their faith and devotion. What sets Catholic Chemistry apart is its mix of thoughtful faith-based questions and fun, quirky prompts that encourage follow-up conversations.
Lengthy but important questionnaire
Catholics come in many forms: some are Catholic by name, others attend Mass regularly, and some may choose how strictly they follow Church teachings on issues like abortion, confession, or sex outside marriage. To help find a match, Catholic Chemistry's questionnaire asks tough, faith-based questions. It also includes compatibility questions about political views, profession, pets, hobbies, and more. You can filter by age, location, Mass attendance, liturgy preference, and more, allowing the algorithm to find your best matches.
Let's add a little fun
To keep things light, there are funny videos about dates gone wrong. You'll also find fun icebreakers in your questionnaire, like "Which is more you: soda or kombucha?" Not only does this give a better idea of who someone is, but you can click on their answer, like kombucha, and ask more - like their favorite flavor or if they make it themselves. If you forget who the kombucha person was later, you can simply search for "kombucha" to jog your memory.
You'll be happier with a paid subscription
Once you sign up for the free version of Catholic Chemistry, you can create a profile and browse others' profiles; but if you want unlimited messaging, seeing who likes or views your profiles, or have access to more features, you'll want to pay for a subscription. 1 month's access to Catholic Chemistry goes for $19.99, 3 months for $14.99/month, or 6 months for $9.99/month. Remember that whichever paid subscription you choose, it will renew automatically, and you'll end up paying until you unsubscribe.
The site is meant to be fun and easy to use, but is it?
Catholic Chemistry's mission was to make the site easy to use and have fun features to make online dating more desirable with a more entertaining website. Some users haven't found this to be the case, complaining that this Catholic dating platform is just plain clunky. Others have said it starts out that way until you get used to it, then it's easy and appealing. Still others have said that the website is doable but the app still needs to be worked out. Sounds like Catholic Chemistry is an acquired taste, and we recommend you try the free version before you subscribe.
Choose from the website or the app
The website seems to be easier to use, and some critics suggest that the apps really need to be worked on to be user-friendly. If you prefer an app, you'll find it in Apple's App Store, and there you can choose between 1, 3, and 6-month subscriptions. Catholic Chemistry is not available in Google's Play Store.
Extra support
There's a page with articles about your favorite saints, dating in a post #MeToo world, Catholic date ideas, and more. And if you do find your dating or relationship match, Catholic Chemistry will send you articles about how to support your couplehood as you continue on the dating or courtship path.
Great concept but lacking in user-friendly technology
We love that all types of Catholics can feel comfortable with the variety of Catholics welcome on this site, along with the filters where you can select people who are similar in practice as you are. We are fascinated with the ice-breaker questions and that you're encouraged to click on an ice-breaker response and easily start a conversation. We're perplexed, though, that the creator is a long-time website designer, yet makes a product that people find clunky, awkward, and challenging to use. Catholic Chemistry comes in at an above-average rating: not the best or the worst out there, with some compelling features (and some frustrating ones).
CatholicPeopleMeet's mission is "Creating Relationships. Connecting Lives." Their home page is filled with the word Catholic, saying it's the best place to meet Catholic singles; yet, there's nothing Catholic or religious at all in their mission statement.
This site is a dinosaur
Navigating CatholicPeopleMeet feels like time travel back to the inception of public use of the internet - listen carefully for the old-school dial up screech. CatholicPeopleMeet is challenging to navigate, and it's quite unattractive.
Dating site co-op?
CatholicPeopleMeet lists partnerships with five dating sites, raising concerns about whether most of their users come from these sites and if your information will be shared. While site partnerships can be useful, none of the five sites are explicitly Catholic or Christian. Are there filters for Catholics, perhaps, on these partnered sites? We just don't know.
Pricing is invisible
Unless you sign up for a paid membership, you won't find pricing. In fact, there's a link at the bottom of their page for billing. Unfortunately, when you click on it, it takes you to a message that the IP address could not be found. We did some research and think we can safely say that paid memberships at CatholicPeopleMeet will be in the neighborhood of 1 month for $16.99, 3 months for $26.97 ($8.99 per month), or 6 months for $38.94 ($6.49 per month).
Dating articles, but they're not Catholic- or even Christian-focused
If you're looking for dating advice, the articles on CatholicPeopleMeet aren't what you'd expect of an authentic, official, Catholic-focused service. For example, there's an intriguing article called "Pre-Marital Intercourse." There is a quite vividly descriptive story of a woman debating on whether she should have premarital intercourse or not. Their conclusion is that one should do whatever you think God would want you to do. Another article, called Coping with Modern Dating, talks about compromise, but in an odd fashion. It tosses around the word "confess", but the use of the word is quite out of the Catholic context. And it says that love "can be difficult and complicated (like technology)." The articles on CatholicPeopleMeet are awkward and, we would say, inconsistent with articles we've seen on our more highly-rated Catholic dating sites.
Not Catholic enough for us
If you're seeking a devout Catholic for sacramental marriage, this isn't the site we'd recommend. CatholicPeopleMeet appears to be a co-op with other major dating sites. The articles lack a deep connection to Catholic faith and practices, and the site's navigation is awkward. For these reasons, we can't give CatholicPeopleMeet a higher rating.
Catholic Dating Club says they are the fastest growing cooperative of online dating sites in the world. Being a cooperative, they help new or existing dating sites to gain access to a larger database of members. They also help these sites with administration, registration, payments, and more. When you join Catholic Dating Club, you'll have access to profiles of not only their members, but also the members in the co-op.
Free access is pretty much a free trial
With basic, free access, you can create an account, upload a photo, create your profile, and send up to 10 different "flirts" to up to 10 different members. You can also do a location search to see how many members are in your geographical area or are interesting to you.
Benefits to paying for membership
Right when you pay for a Catholic Dating Club membership, your profile will show up on the front page, so it's probable you'll get more visits to your profile page and more messages. The other benefits of a paid subscription are being able to send and receive messages from people you're interested in chatting with.
No mention of pricing
Pricing is nowhere to be found on the Catholic Dating Club webpage. There is a FAQ page, and a link to pricing, but all that does is tell you that you'll get pricing once you complete a profile, and that your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it yourself.
Pretty generic
Catholic Dating Club doesn't have much information on their site to attract a potential user. The home page tells you that Catholic Dating Club is for Catholics, but because they're a co-op, they present more like they've filtered "Catholic" from other company members, and that's that. There's no mention of a Catholic questionnaire so you can find someone similar to you: whether or not people attend Mass regularly, receive the sacraments, abstain from sex before marriage, and so much more. Catholic Dating Club seems Catholic only as a browsing filter, nothing deeper than that.
Same-sex browsing features
Contrary to what we've seen in other Catholic dating sites, at the foot of the Catholic Dating Club home page, where you can click to find single Catholic gay men and Catholic lesbians. This may be one Catholic dating site that the LGBTQ+ community can use to find non-cis matches.
Finding fans is frustrating
We'd expect to find success stories of happy Catholic marriages on Catholic Dating Club's site, but there aren't, at least as far as we could find. Delving out into the interwebs, there aren't positive reviews from those thrilled with their experience, and not even those who have had a less-than-pleasant experience with the service. There's no rating on Trustpilot and they're not rated by the Better Business Bureau. Our research into Catholic Dating Club's reputation came up as empty as the feeling of Catholicism from this dating website.
Just not enough
We don't see evidence of Catholic Dating Club providing any real focus on Catholics and their specific desires for a potential Catholic spouse. It's a lovely idea to be a cooperative and join forces with other dating sites, but so much more work and research must be done on their part for us to consider this an authentic, Catholic dating service. Catholic Dating Club gets one of our lowest ratings (and even that feels generous).
Catholic Mates has been around since 2004, but its outdated design makes it feel like it was created a decade earlier. While the site claims to cater to Catholic singles, it doesn't seem to truly embrace Catholic values. Instead of promoting sacramental marriage or Catholic dating principles, it feels more like a generic dating site with the word "Catholic" thrown in to be more appealing. The description Catholic Mates gives of itself leans more toward casual dating than serious, faith-based relationships.
Free access allows quite limited access
With a free account, you can create a profile, upload photos, and look for singles in your area. You can also send up to 30 "flirts" to those who might interest you. Catholic Mates claims to expand and add new features all the time, but they do not mention even one feature that they are planning to add.
Paid access lets you contact users
When you have an active, paid membership, you can send and receive messages. And how much will it cost? That's a great question. In the past, we found Catholic Mates charging $29.99 per month. Our more recent research turned up at least one user who got a 5-day trial membership for $5, then month-to-month access for $34.95 or 3 months' access for $54.98. What will you pay? It's anyone's guess.
Antiquated site features
Just looking at the home page of Catholic Mates might bring you back to your 1990s computer class or a B-rated 1990s movie where the computer geek needs to save the girl from impending cyber doom. That and the typos send a pretty bad vibe here.
Catholic in name only?
There's little Catholic focus at this dating service, beyond the name. The site doesn't promote sacramental marriage, include a questionnaire about religious practices, or offer anything with a true Catholic feel.
Catering to seniors?
The photos and brief profiles we've seen at Catholic Mates are mostly singles over 40. The photos of younger people, and only women at that, look like they might be planted, like stock photos. We're not sure about the photos being stock, but they just don't seem consistent with the real-looking photos of those with profiles. And, we didn't see any photos of men.
Unusual "Catholic" browsing features
You can browse Catholic Chicks, Catholic Babes, Catholic Dudes, Catholic Studs, Catholic Hunks, or "Catholic Gay." You can also browse Catholic BBW (Big, Beautiful Women), or Catholic Chubby (men). Really, we didn't make this up. Most of these filters are more commonly found on specialty sites instead (and questionable ones at that).
No user feedback out there
The feedback for this Catholic dating platform, positive or negative, doesn't exist. Catholic Mates isn't rated by the Better Business Bureau, there are no ratings on Trustpilot, and when you search for reviews of Catholic Mates, you'll be lucky if you find one.
We can't rate this any lower
We rate Catholic Mates as low as the feeling we get when perusing this site. The site's design is antiquated, typos run amok, pricing can't be found unless you become a member, and they promote themselves as offering a "special dating service." We're not sure what they mean by that, but it doesn't scream Catholic-dating-then-sacramental-marriage to us. The more we browse this site, the more slimy we feel, and it clearly doesn't measure up as a "Catholic" dating service. Take a peek for laughs, but otherwise avoid Catholic Mates.
OnlineCatholicDating is a website-only dating site, without an option for an app. The home page has no suggestions about how to date in the Catholic world, how to find a partner with your beliefs or practices, and there's no religious questionnaire to help their algorithm find your best Catholic matches. In fact, we found that OnlineCatholicDating seems to be Catholic in name only.
Get started
There's no information about OnlineCatholicDating on their homepage, and the only way you'll find out anything is to complete your profile. Right away, you're encouraged to pay the membership fee, and immediately start typing your message to send out to anyone who matches your profile.
Too little information
There's basically no information on the OnlineCatholicDating homepage, and you can't find tabs or a menu to get any "about us," pricing, success stories, or membership features - and that's a big turn-off.
Too much pressure
As you create your brief, free profile here, it's "in your face" to quickly pay to join, and if you do, you can receive 25% off of whichever plan you choose. At this point, you still have no information about what free or paid membership entails, or anything about the company, but there's pressure to pay.
Free access doesn't allow much
You can create your profile here and receive some messages when you browse for free, but OnlineCatholicDating keeps sending you "sutble" messages to upgrade.
Quick "sell" to join affiliated partners
Right away, when giving your email and profile statement, you are encouraged to "click here" to also join their affiliated site.
Premium gives you full access
You'll unlock all the premium features when you pay for a membership to OnlineCatholicDating. You can see your matches, see who viewed your profile, browse, change your settings, see who's online, and choose your favorites. You can also get Quick Matches, which is where you see one profile at a time and "like" or "pass" them, one at a time. And how much will that membership cost? You can get a 5-day trial for $4.95, 1 month of access for $32.99, or 3 months for $43.98 ($14.66 per month).
Who are these people? And where are the Catholics?
The site has "Catholic" in its name, but none of the matches that came up for us with our free profile had anything Catholic mentioned, nor did they ask us about our religious affiliation. The profile messages for two of the people offered to us were, "I love sexy," and "Am good in bed." Thanks, but... One said that Jesus is #1 in his life and his wife is his #2. (Glad you're devoted to your wife, but you're on a dating site.) And a few of the profile messages were challenging to understand and had no punctuation or complete thoughts.
It feels slimy
From start to finish, this Catholic dating site just feels off. There's no introduction to what OnlineCatholicDating is, and you're just "lured" into creating a profile and clicking for the affiliated dating site. After that you get people's "interesting" profile messages: a few religious, some sexy, some incomprehensible, and more.
We'd "swipe left" on OnlineCatholicDating
OnlineCatholicDating's website gives you no information, and there's high pressure to pay for a subscription. Immediately you're offered an affiliate-site membership. Plus, you're presented with all age groups, not just the ones you've requested; the profile messages are cringe-worthy; and there's nothing Catholic about this site except its name. We need a long cleansing shower after doing research on OnlineCatholicDating, and give it our lowest rating.
Continued from above...
Many Catholic singles have turned to online dating sites to find their like-minded spouse. Dating sites are popping up everywhere, changing the way millions of Catholic singles meet. With so many choices, how do you know which Catholic dating site is for you, especially if you're looking for someone with a specific belief system?
Online Catholic dating sites are helpful because they bring people together who share the same faith and values. For Catholics who want God to be a big part of their relationship, these websites make it easier to talk about important topics like church, prayer, and marriage. This can lead to stronger and more meaningful connections because both people are starting from the same spiritual foundation.
Another good thing about these sites is that they make it easier to meet more people. It can be hard to find someone special just through your local church or social group, especially if you live in a small town. Online dating lets you meet Catholics from all over the country or even the world, giving you more chances to find someone who's right for you.
Online dating sites have expanded to include platforms just for Catholics. Whether you're a cradle Catholic, a convert, or someone who attends Mass on the Holy Days of Obligation, there are Catholic dating sites that match you with compatible Catholics.
These sites also often offer helpful tools and advice to support healthy, faith-based relationships. Some have quizzes, conversation starters, or articles that talk about love and marriage from a Catholic point of view. These extras can guide people in building strong, lasting relationships that honor their beliefs and help them grow closer to God and each other.
You have choices. You can choose a general public dating site, then put Catholic in your profile, and filter for Catholic potential matches. Some of these sites can be hit or miss when it comes to matching you with like-minded church members. Or, you can choose a site specifically for Catholic singles, which often include features like articles on dating with Catholic ideals or highlighting saints and feast days.
Whichever way you choose to search, here are points to consider when selecting the right Catholic dating site:
To help you find your Catholic partner or spouse, Top Consumer Reviews has carefully reviewed Catholic dating sites to help you find the best one and avoid the worst. Whether you choose a general site and use filters to find people who share your Catholic beliefs, or work directly with a Catholic site, we're confident you'll meet someone special.

Dating Profiles That Work
Most of us know people who have had great success using a dating website while other friends see little or no dating action. Often the reason between the two stories is simply their profile and what impression it gave off to potential suitors. Writing about yourself doesn't come natural and putting relationship needs and wants into a one page summary takes practice so it's easy for people to make mistakes.
Spend time figuring out what you want in a potential mate and then focus on the following attributes of your profile to improve your chances of attracting the right person.
Tone. The tone of your profile is one of the biggest aspects of the impression you give off. Do you sound confident and upbeat or lacking self confidence. Do you spend more time explaining what you don't want or more time talking about your interests in a positive light? A negative Nelly or a selfish Sally are big turn offs. A nice balance of what you can bring to the table as well as what you're looking for will attract attention from others.
Username. The username is often the first thing someone sees about your profile and will create an initial first impression. A user name that uses profane language or sexual content is likely to turn off many quality singles. In turn, a boring or meaningless username can also have the same effect. Spend time coming up with a username that favorably depicts you and will grab someone's attention.
Mistakes. Bad grammar and spelling can be a huge turn-off for most. This can give the impression that you're lacking brain power and wouldn't put much effort into a relationship. If the website doesn't offer spell check, cut and paste your writing into a word document and search for errors.
Pictures. A profile with no pictures typically receives very few inquiries if any. Appearance is an important aspect of finding someone you have a chemical response to and people tend to avoid those profiles lacking photos. Be sure to include at least one picture but adding various shots of you from face to full body is ideal.
Honesty. Be honest in what you write in your profile. If you really don't want to date anyone older than you than make sure you indicate an accurate age range, height, body shape, religion or any other aspect of a potential mate you find critical. Also be honest about yourself. Lying about your age, income, kids or anything else will eventually lead to failure.
Ask for Feedback. While it may seem a little awkward, ask a close friend that knows you to give you honest feedback regarding your profile. How does it sound? Does it send the wrong message. What would they change?
