Site could use more helpful filters

The easiest way to navigate Hitye's website is by using the categories at the top of the page. Sadly, once you get to browsing, your options for filters are pretty slim. For the charms page, the only way you can filter different charms and beads is through price. There weren't filters for colors, style, or material, which made for a lot of scrolling. When shopping on Hitye's website, you'll also want to pay special attention to the dimensions of each charm. Some charms may be smaller than they appear in photos, and many customers have mentioned being surprised when they received their charms despite clear dimension disclosures in the photos.

Around 52 bracelet styles

Hitye's charm selection includes some off-brand themes that appear to imitate well-known brands or protected intellectual property. You'll find a variety of themes for charms, including holidays, religion, travel, family, and friends. Many of the charms are painted enamel, which adds a touch of whimsy and playfulness to the jewelry. However, if you're looking for more elegant or sophisticated charm bracelets, you may want to explore other retailers. In total, there are 52 different bracelet types. It's unclear if all of them can hold charms or only some of them. You'll see snake style, chains, and bangles all available at Hitye. As far as our research showed, there were only silver bracelets at Hitye and the styles were all their own design. As for beads and charms, we found 335+ different options on Hitye with charms and beads combined.

Overall, we give Hitye a lower-than-average rating. While the prices are good for customers looking for low-cost charm bracelets, the lack of information about the company and the limited amount of third-party reviews leaves us a little suspicious. Search parameters don't narrow the options

Unfortunately, shopping by theme can be a bit confusing at times. For example, in the Vacation and Travel category, you might find an astronaut charm, or a backpack charm called "School Bag” that doesn't seem to fit the theme. With odd options like a Toothbrushing Trio pendant mixed in with actual "Travel” charms, it feels like a struggle to find specific styles that match the theme. Be sure to carefully read product descriptions before making a purchase to avoid any surprises regarding the charm's dimensions. Some charms may be smaller than expected, so it's essential to double-check before making a decision. On top of these smaller struggles, there were pretty limited filters to help you browse, with only price, material, and color for most categories.

Only 5 bracelets to choose from

The selection of bracelets at Gnoce is extremely limited. While there are 172 different bracelets on the site, only 5 of them show up when you limit the category to "charm bracelets”. Many of the styles are "snake” style which is a flexible metal band to slide your charms onto. You can also find one bangle style. All of the bracelets come in silver, with no options for other metals. Gnoce's charm selection is another story altogether. There are 1,364 different charms to choose from, and this doesn't include clasps and beads. The themes at Gnoce are certainly unique, with categories ranging from "Skulls” and "I Love Babies" to "Movies and Anime”, but this might not appeal to everyone.

However, Gnoce's reputation is not entirely spotless. While there are thousands of five-star reviews praising their speed of shipping and jewelry quality, there are also reports of poor customer service and delayed or lost packages. The Better Business Bureau listing for Gnoce gives it an "F" rating due to concerns about transparency regarding ownership, location, and products or services offered. Further investigation reveals that Gnoce presents itself as a US-based company but is actually a Chinese retailer. Many customers have reported difficulty in getting responses from Gnoce's customer service team and have experienced long delays or no response at all when trying to resolve issues with their orders. While customers love the prices and deals offered here, there are concerns about the quality of the items.

Based on our research, we cannot recommend Gnoce as a reliable choice for charm bracelets. The company's mixed reputation, lack of transparency, and poor customer service make it difficult for us to trust their products or services. Given the fact that it's unclear where they source their items and if it's all "Gnoce” brand or a retailer selling other jewelry, we're more than a little leery of Gnoce. Since its inception in 1999, the company has been known for its impressive inventory, offering a wide range of products, including home decor, improvement items, jewelry, and gifts. However, if you're looking for a competitive selection of charm bracelets in different styles and a broad range of individual charms, Overstock is going to disappoint: since our last review, the retailer has almost completely done away with charm bracelets and charms, making it nearly impossible to buy a complete charm bracelet from this retailer.

No specific charm bracelet section

While navigating Overstock's website can take some time and patience, the end result is worth the effort. The charm bracelet section is easiest to find by searching "charm bracelet” in Overstock's search bar. If you try to get there through the jewelry section of the site, you might get stumped as there's no "charm bracelet” filter available in the list of styles. While the search bar method is more direct, it makes it feel like charm bracelets aren't a main seller at Overstock. On the bright side, the website often offers special promotions and discounts, such as spin-to-win deals or 15% off for email subscribers. At the time of our review, Overstock was offering up to 60% off its charm bracelet selection.

Almost no charms for sale

For a site that seems to have everything, Overstock's selection of charm bracelets is somewhat slim. There are 25 different charm bracelets out of the thousands of bracelets on the site. For charms, we found only a handful of results for beads that are used for jewelry-making. It seems that since our last review, Overstock has limited its sale of charm bracelets as a whole. We found exactly one listing on Overstock for "charms” that were zodiac pendants for making jewelry.

While we normally compare prices by looking at specific items, it was pretty difficult to do this at Overstock as so many of the items we usually review pricing for were missing. Generally, we look at charms, beads, gold bracelets, and silver bracelets. However, we could only really give prices on bracelets as there was only one item in stock that even mentioned the word "charm.”

If you manage to find a charm bracelet, but you're not satisfied with your purchase, Overstock allows returns within 30 days of delivery. You'll be responsible for shipping costs and you'll need to make sure the returned item arrives within 45 days of receipt. So, you may feel like the shipping costs aren't worth it for returns, depending on how much your charm bracelet initially cost.

Reputation has tanked since merger

Overstock's rating has fallen in recent years. Currently, Overstock holds an "NR” rating from the Better Business Bureau, which is particularly disappointing since it used to hold an "A+” rating. Further, the third-party review sites are pretty upset about Overstock. Between Trustpilot and ConsumerAffairs, the average rating for Overstock is 1.3 stars out of 5. Customers are leaving tons of complaints saying that Overstock has changed since merging with Bed Bath & Beyond. Reviews focus on poor customer service, issues with faulty products, and difficulties in making returns. While none of the recent reviews were about jewelry, it still bears keeping in mind.

Straight to last place

The bottom line? Overstock just isn't what it used to be. In fact, Overstock used to be our favorite retailer for charm bracelets, and now it's fallen to the bottom of the pack. Since you can't really get charms from Overstock, it just isn't competitive with even the worst companies in our review. And while you can get bracelets, they're not any cheaper or more unique than those offered by higher-rated retailers.
