The Best Charm Bracelet Stores

The 8 Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Where Can You Get the Best Charm Bracelets?

There's no better way to commemorate an important achievement like a college graduation, celebrate a special occasion, or keep reminders of treasured memories close at hand. From cute costume jewelry with dangly trinkets to elegant adornments in 14k gold, there's a charm bracelet to suit every style and budget.

When designing this one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry, your first consideration should probably be the bracelet style. Bangles are solid, sometimes with an opening on the side, and the corresponding charms have a hole in the middle that you slide on and off by unscrewing the fixed charm in the middle or on one of the ends.

Top Consumer Reviews Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award Overstock Review 5 Star Rating

Overstock

5 Star Rating
  • Over 600 charm bracelets and 20,000 charms to choose from
  • Free shipping

  • "A+" rated and accredited by the BBB
Top Consumer Reviews Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award

Overstock is a billion-dollar online-only retailer headquartered near Salt Lake City. Since 1999, the company has been offering everything from home decor and improvement items to jewelry and other gifts.

Best selection of charms and bracelets

Although Overstock isn't the easiest website to use when shopping for charm bracelets, it's well worth it to apply a little patience here. Why? You won't find a bigger selection of charm bracelets and individual charms anywhere else: over 600 bracelets and 20,000 charms. And, if you watch out for pop-ups, you could get a spin-to-win discount or a savings of 15% if you enter your email address.

Something for every style and budget

You'll find both ends of the price spectrum here, from fun costume pieces to elegant gold link bracelets you can use as a base for high-end charms. See for yourself: on the highest end at the time of this review, Overstock had several 14k yellow gold double-link charm bracelets priced between $3,400-$4,980, all the way down to several dozen styles under $20 - and numerous options in between. Whatever you've got in mind, chances are excellent that Overstock has something for you.

Not quick to find charms

The bracelets themselves are fairly simple to find by applying the "Charm" filter within the Bracelets main category page. Charms themselves, however, are a little more time-consuming to find. You could search for a particular style of charm you're thinking of (like "four-leaf clover" or "angel" ) and see what comes up. Otherwise, try searching just for "charms" and then using the filters and related searches to narrow down the possibilities. But, since that often comes up with necklace pendant-type charms too, you may want to try using "Pandora Charms" for your search string: Overstock carries Pandora-compatible charms, which are high-quality and fun to browse (how about a 3-D birthday cake or a red stiletto?)

Easy to get info from results list

Overstock makes it super-simple to get important information at a glance, like pricing, shipping, and average customer ratings. Most of the charms we saw were marked as having free 2-day delivery, priced between $20 and $70, and had at least a handful of shopper reviews.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Thorough information in each product's listing

style to weight and dimensions. That's particularly important with charms, letting you know exactly how big (or tiny) they are. We liked that Overstock's product images often included a comparison with a ruler for reference: telling us dimensions in mm is hard to imagine, but it gets a lot clearer when we can see it in inches too. Finally, on the product page, you can enter your zip code for an estimated delivery date.

"Just average" return policy

You've got 30 days from the date your charm bracelet was delivered to initiate a return, if there's something not to your liking. It has to be in new, unused condition and have all of the original product inserts (if any). You're responsible for the shipping costs, and it has to arrive within 45 days of when you received it.

Fantastic reputation

How about reputation? No worries here. Overstock gets the Better Business Bureau's highest rating as well as accreditation. And with lots of charm bracelets and charms that have customer feedback, you don't have to worry that you're getting something low-quality (or, at least, that you're not getting what you paid for). Some charms and bracelets are even designated as "high satisfaction" or "best seller" , offering even further reassurance that you or your bracelet's recipient will be thrilled.

Top choice for charm bracelets

Free and fast shipping, thousands of charm bracelets and charms to choose from, and a great reputation: what more could you want from a store? For all of these reasons and then some, Overstock remains in our first-place slot among retailers offering charm bracelets. You're sure to find something you love here.

Brighton Review 4.5 Star Rating

Brighton

4.5 Star Rating
  • About 350 charms and 20 charm bracelets to choose from
  • Free shipping on orders of $75+
  • In business since 1991
  • Smart Gift tool eliminates gift-giving guesswork
  • Complimentary gift wrap on many items
  • Free UPS or in-store returns within 60 days of purchase

Brighton got its start in 1991 as a specialty retailer of belts. Over time, their inventory expanded to include all sorts of stylish accessories for women, ranging from handbags to footwear and more. There are almost 200 Brighton Collectible stores and over 4,000 fine specialty boutiques located in all 50 states.

Nice selection of bracelets and charms

The charm bracelet selection here is decent: about 20 bracelets and 350 charms (not counting spacers and beads) to choose from. Most items come in silver, but in the bracelet section we found some colorful printed leather options as well. Charm themes range from Celebrations and Love to Pastimes and Travel, and the site makes it easy to find lots of cute ideas.

What's YOUR why?

Our favorite way to build a charm bracelet from scratch here is using the "What's your why?" quiz. You'll find that in the Charms dropdown menu at the top of the page. Answer some fun questions about your perfect date, style, favorite flower, even your preferred dessert, and Brighton will create a profile with charms to spark your imagination and help you design the perfect jewelry combination.

Smarter gift-giving

What if you're creating a charm bracelet as a gift, but you're not completely sure your ideas match what your recipient would choose? No worries. Use the Smart Gift tool to "send" the jewelry via text, email, or Facebook. They can customize the bracelet to their preference, indicating the right size and even making exchanges for items of the same or lower price. Once they've finalized their choices, Brighton will send you a payment link for the total.

No surprises with sizes

Another tool we really appreciate is Brighton's "See It On!" feature. It's the best way to not be unpleasantly surprised by a charm being much smaller than you expected after seeing it in the pictures. The tool will show you the charm, bracelet, or any other jewelry item in comparison with a quarter, an iPhone, a ruler, and even other items you've looked at recently.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Glowing shopper reviews despite BBB grade

Brighton is listed as having a "C" rating from the Better Business Bureau, but the lower-than-average grade stems from a failure to respond to a single complaint filed there: not exactly a warning sign in our opinion. When you consider that this retailer has earned over 2700 five-star reviews from over 85% of their shoppers, it gives a much more favorable impression. Time and again people say that the jewelry and other items are of good quality and that Brighton offers terrific customer support. Many products in Brighton's online store have shopper reviews you can check out too.

Brighton loves its customers

There are a lot of customer-friendly perks and policies that contribute to Brighton's success. When you buy charm bracelets from Brighton, you can expect to get free shipping if your order is $75+; otherwise, you'll pay a flat-rate fee of $5 for standard delivery within 5-7 business days. Most items can be gift-wrapped at no extra charge, though we noticed that Brighton specifically excludes charm holders and charms (but not bracelets). And finally, your charm bracelet can be returned in-store or with a free UPS label within 60 days of placing your order, as long as it is unworn and unused, with all packaging materials included.

No high-end charm bracelets

The only downside to shopping for charm bracelets at Brighton is the lack of anything upscale. If you want 14k gold, real gemstones, or any other kind of luxury upgrade, you're just not going to find it here.

Definitely a retailer to consider

On the whole, Brighton is an excellent place to shop for charm bracelets. Not only is there a lot to choose from, but you'll also get easy returns if needed, an impressive 60-day return policy, and maybe even free gift wrap (depending on what you purchase). Give this retailer a look and see if you find exactly what you had in mind.

Zales Review 4 Star Rating

Zales

4 Star Rating
  • About 70 bracelets and 500+ charms to choose from
  • Bracelets and charms in silver, yellow gold, and white gold
  • Free shipping, no minimum purchase
  • 60-day return policy, by mail or at a Zales store
  • "A+" rated and accredited by the BBB

Zales first opened as a one-location jewelry store in Texas back in 1924. Nearly 100 years later, the jeweler has retail locations throughout North America and Puerto Rico. And, as part of the Signet Jewelers family, Zales has a "sister" relationship with Jared and Kay.

A little like a treasure hunt

It's not very easy to find what you're looking for at Zales, at least when it comes to charm bracelets. While you can see all 70 charm bracelets on a single page, the charms themselves are harder to find. Search for "charms" and you'll get jewelry that's obviously meant to be worn on a necklace, plus a bunch of smart watch add-ons that won't work with charm bracelets either. Zales carries over 500 charms suitable for bracelets or necklaces in the Rembrandt brand; the easiest way to see what's available is to type "charms" in the search box and wait for the Rembrandt option to come up.

Mostly silver, some enamel

Once you get to that page, there are categories you can select: Family, Heart, Travel, Animal, Hobby and Religious. But, as we browsed all available charms, we wondered which categories some of them would fall under. A corkscrew? A gavel? A skull? Still, there's a decent selection of sterling silver charms here: maybe not many of the more whimsical, colorful enamel styles we've spotted with some jewelers, but plenty of options if silver is your thing. There are a few other charm brands on offer here; the quickest way to see them is to look in the "Also Viewed" section of the page of any charm that catches your attention.

More info, please?

We wish Zales would go a little bit further to provide shoppers with information about each charm: most noticeably missing is any kind of size or dimensions. With limited images of the charms and no measurements, that dangly martini glass or sweet little pineapple could be much more diminutive than you pictured. And, while customers are welcome to leave reviews, it was hard to find many charms that had any.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Generous policies, good reputation

On a more positive note, Zales was offering free shipping with no minimum purchase on all charms and bracelets at the time of this review. Also, Zales gives you 60 days to return your purchase by mail or to a retail location near you; unlike many stores, Zales doesn't insist that your bracelet be unused/unworn to qualify, just that it's still in "good" condition. Finally, the Better Business Bureau gives Zales its highest recommendation: an "A+" rating and accreditation too.

Upscale options here

Another advantage that Zales has over many of its rivals is higher-end jewelry. Not every store offers options in 14k yellow or white gold, but this one does. If you're looking for a charm bracelet that's more elegant than eclectic, Zales has some beautiful choices. Our favorites were the locket charm bracelets that would be ideal to honor or remember loved ones in a classic, upscale way.

Solid option for charm bracelets

If you've got the patience to sift through the Zales online store until you find the bracelet and charms you want, it could be well worth it. We love this store's customer-friendly return policy and free shipping, and it's nice to see higher-end choices that go beyond the cute and kitschy. You can trust Zales as a good jeweler when deciding where to buy a charm bracelet.

Pandora Review 4 Star Rating

Pandora

4 Star Rating
  • Over 160 bracelets and 700 charms to choose from
  • Free shipping on orders of $75+
  • Free and easy returns within 30 days
  • Handy SmartGift feature
  • Gift packaging for just $1

Pandora is likely the brand you imagine when you think of charm bracelets. Sold in 100+ countries and headquartered in Denmark, this company is ubiquitous in the jewelry market and adds numerous charms and bracelets to its inventory every year. Whether you buy directly through the Pandora store, at one of its brick-and-mortar locations, or through a third-party retailer, you'll get top-quality jewelry that lasts.

Be ready to pay more

You're going to spend a little more (or a LOT more) to get an authentic Pandora bracelet. If you're looking for 14k gold, you'll pay anywhere from $2050 to $2895 just for the bracelet itself, depending on the length you select (from 6.3 to 9.0). Fortunately, that same bracelet comes in sterling silver for a much more affordable price of $65. Charms here are similarly priced: the most expensive option is the Sparkling Leveled Hearts charm in 14k gold and CZ for $495. The lowest-priced charms are $25-$35 and run the gamut from letters of the alphabet to paw prints and more. Build a bracelet with 10 charms and you can expect to pay at least $465. Pandora offers several financing options, like interest-free payments through PayPal, Klarna and Afterpay, if you're interested.

See exactly how the jewelry looks

You'll find some really helpful options on the Pandora site. First, look for the "Try It On" tool to see how any bracelet or charm looks on a model, or choose the "on me" to scan a QR code and preview the look on your own arm. You can also select "compare" to get a feel for the item's size relative to a familiar object like an earbud or a credit card, plus the dimensions are clearly displayed in inches. No unpleasant surprises here.

Preview an entire charm bracelet

Another awesome feature Pandora offers is the "Customize" button. You can build an entire bracelet with charms and see a real-time preview of how it looks. We absolutely love not having any guesswork to do.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

SmartGift tool + inexpensive gift wrapping

Finally, if you're gifting a Pandora charm bracelet, you may want to take advantage of the SmartGift tool. It lets you choose a gift to send electronically, but your recipient can change the size or color as desired - or go a completely different direction by choosing something that is equal to or lower than the price of the bracelet you selected. Once they finalize their selection, Pandora will send you a payment link and that's it. You can also add gift packaging to any order, SmartGift or not, for just $1.

BBB says no but thousands of shoppers say yes

We're a little puzzled by Pandora's listing with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB gives the jewelry store an "F" rating, for receiving over 400 complaints in the last three years, three of which got no response from Pandora and four that remained unresolved. That sounds terrible, and yet our highest-ranked charm bracelet store received three times as many complaints over the same timeframe. Plus, Pandora has plenty of shopper reviews on most of the charms and bracelets sold through its online store, not to mention those you'll find when Pandora jewelry is sold through third-party retailers. For example, one of their most popular charms is the "Love You Mom Heart" : it's got nearly 1200 customer ratings averaging 4.5/5 stars. See why we're not overly concerned about those seven unresolved complaints?

Free returns for 30 days

Pandora also offers a solid customer service experience. Should you need to return your charms or bracelet, you've got 30 days to send it back with a prepaid label (Pandora picks up the cost) or at a retail location near you. You can also reach a Pandora support rep by online chat or toll-free number if you have questions about placing an order or making a return.

Highly recommended

True, Pandora charm bracelets are more expensive than most. But, with so many charms to choose from, a variety of bracelet styles, and lots of tools to help make your shopping experience fast and fun, this store can't help but earn one of our highest recommendations.

Reeds Jewelers Review 3.5 Star Rating

Reeds Jewelers

3.5 Star Rating
  • About 1,100 charms and bracelets to choose from
  • 10 days for returns, 30 days for exchanges
  • Free shipping on some items
  • "A+" rated and accredited by the BBB

For over 100 years, Reeds has been a jeweler to trust. Family-owned for four generations, the retailer has brick-and-mortar locations in NY and MA, plus an online store with a wide array of watches, wedding and engagement rings, and jewelry of all types.

Will take some time to find charms and bracelets

Reeds doesn't make it all that easy to shop for charm bracelets. There's no category page specifically for that kind of jewelry, leaving you to run a search for "charms" or "charm bracelets" . Sort those results by price from high to low and you'll soon see that there are quite a few unrelated pieces in the 1,100+ matches returned by the search (like an 18k white gold 40-carat diamond cuff bracelet for "just" $107,695). It'll probably help if you've got at least a general idea of what you want, like a theme for the charms or the style of the bracelet, and start your search from there. Another option is to sort all of your results by "Relevance" and you'll see mostly charms at the top of the list.

Tell us more

Most of the charms and bracelets you'll find at Reeds are from the Rembrandt and Pandora brands. We spotted a lot of traditional choices, like hearts or friends/family charms, and a few more unusual ones (like a map of Norway). There's not a lot of details on the thumbnail listings, just an image and a price; you'll need to click on a charm or bracelet that catches your eye to see specifics like a description or shopper reviews. Unfortunately, Reeds doesn't give you dimensions on charms - which strikes us as odd, because when you buy charms directly from Pandora (for example), those details are readily available. Also, only some of the bracelets' lengths were displayed, which could make it challenging to choose jewelry in the right size.

Shipping is free... sometimes

Another detail that's hard to come by is Reeds' shipping fees. We couldn't find anywhere on the site that spelled it out, but through trial and error we saw that a $50 Pandora charm had a $10 delivery cost, while a $350 gold charm bracelet had free delivery. Depending on what you buy, your shipping fees could be spendy.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Less-than-generous returns

We're not all that impressed by Reeds' return policy, either. You have just 10 days from the date of delivery to request a refund on merchandise that is still in like-new condition with no signs of damage or wear and with the original receipt. That timeframe extends to 30 days if you're interested in exchanging your bracelet or charms for something else.

Reliable jewelry store

The one area where Reeds excels is in reputation. Not only do they have an "A+" and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, but there are also loyal customers who have trusted this jeweler for many years.

Not the best or the worst for charm bracelets

Long story short: if you find a bracelet or charms that you love on the Reeds store, there's no reason not to get them. This business has a good reputation and you shouldn't have any problems with quality or service. But, the selection and shopping experience here keep Reeds from competing with some of the higher-rated retailers in our evaluation.

Hitye Review 3 Star Rating

Hitye

3 Star Rating
  • Buy 2 charms, get 2 free
  • Nothing priced over $80
  • Free shipping on orders of $59+
  • 60-day returns
  • 1-year warranty on all items

If you're looking for truly unusual charm bracelets, Hitye is going to be a site you love browsing. Who knew you could get charms for everything from "A Chicken Bathing in Ramen" to "Vintage Hot Air Balloon" (with a little teapot on the bottom)? Hitye calls itself an "emerging fashion jewelry brand from China" , focusing on personalized charms and bracelets.

Fun, novel charm bracelets

The easiest way to shop the Hitye site for anything specific is by using the categories at the top of the page. You'll find lots of themes for charms, like holidays, religion, travel, family and friends. Many of the charms are painted enamel: great if you're going for a whimsical look, but maybe not if you're building a charm bracelet suitable for a dressy occasion or for everyday wear at the office.

Off-brand themes

We got a chuckle out of some of the themes on Hitye, obviously trying to imitate a brand or something protected by copyright. One of our favorites was the "Magic Journey" set: "follow the wonderful teapot and the talking clock housekeeper to embark on a magical journey full of love and adventure" . Other charms in that set include the "Princess Magic Mirror" and the "Magic Candlestick" . We'll give you three guesses to name that Disney movie, and the first two don't count.

Nothing expensive here

You won't find anything priced over $80 here, and Hitye seems to offer a "buy two charms, get two free" promo all the time. The most expensive bracelet we saw was a $79.99 snake chain bracelet with a heart-shaped key and lock design, and the highest-end charms were priced at $48.99 (in novel designs like Tomb Keeper, Girl on Sofa, and a bunch of "Royal Band" guards who looked like something out of the Nutcracker ballet). Shipping is free on orders of $59+, or $4.99 for orders under that threshold.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Pay attention to dimensions

We strongly recommend that you look through all of the photos for any charm you're considering, because you'll usually find the measurements there. Some charms are much smaller than they appear, and many reviews said customers were surprised when the charm came (even though the dimensions were clearly disclosed in the photos).

US-returns for 60 days, plus 1-year warranty

In our experience, most online retailers with a presence primarily in China (no US-based warehouses or customer support) aren't super reliable - not to mention the fact that returns are difficult and costly. With Hitye, you've got 60 days to make a return, and they'll cover the return shipping costs - which, fortunately, would only be to a Pittsburgh address and not overseas. This retailer also offers a one-year warranty on every charm and bracelet.

Customer feedback is limited

However, Hitye doesn't give us much to go on, to let us know if we can trust that they deliver on their promises. Their social media channels are sparse, with no customer reviews and little activity, plus the company doesn't have a listing with the BBB as far as we could find. The only shopper reviews we spotted were at the bottom of the charm listings: at the time of this review, there were only 23 ratings posted for Hitye as a store, all four and five stars. People were happy with the charms and said the shipping was fast, but we need more than a couple dozen reviews before trusting Hitye with our business.

So far, so good

We give Hitye a respectable three-star rating: after all, there's nothing wrong with being a newer business based in China, and we didn't see any obvious red flags yet. We'd remind you that your order may take longer to arrive than anything you'd buy from a US retailer, and that you should be aware of the charm's dimensions when you order here. Hopefully Hitye will have more customer feedback available in the future as the company grows.

Claire's Review 2.5 Star Rating

Claire's

2.5 Star Rating
  • Just five charm bracelets to choose from
  • No individual charms
  • Free shipping on orders of $30+
  • 60-day returns

Claire's has been the "fun fashion destination" for tweens, teens and young adults since 1974. With over 2,300 stores worldwide, you've certainly come across one of their retail locations in a mall near you.

Only five charm bracelets

If you're hoping to buy a charm bracelet from Claire's, we've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that you'll have no problem sorting through their selection. But that brings us to the bad news: there are literally only five options: a huge decrease from our last review, when Claire's carried over 50 choices. These five styles are Romantic Eiffel Tower, Romantic Garden, Cosmic Nature, Royal, and Rose Heart.

Kid-sized costume jewelry

As you'd expect, the charm bracelets here are sized for younger people, mostly in 6" lengths. And, despite being made of metal and described as "gold" , this jewelry is 100% on the "costume" end of the spectrum.

Under $5

Look on the bright side: you'll only be spending under $10 here, and in fact, at the time of this review all of Claire's charm bracelets were marked down to just $3.99 or $4.99. That's a pretty good bargain.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Might not be in stock

You'll be able to see at a glance if the bracelet is available at the retail location near you (automatically detected by your browser) and/or is able to be shipped. Of the five bracelets for sale, only one was in stock at our local Claire's, and three were available for delivery. Shipping at Claire's is free if your order is at least $30; otherwise, you'll pay $7.99 for standard delivery (more than the charm bracelet costs).

60-day returns

If one of these charm bracelets is somehow exactly what you were looking for, but you decide to return it for any reason, you've got 60 days from the date of purchase. In-store returns are free, and you'll have to cover the return shipping costs if you opt to send your items back by mail. Make sure to include the original receipt, original packaging, and that all tags are attached.

Selection is too sparse

Claire's is a perfectly decent place to shop for inexpensive jewelry for people ages 3-18. After all, do you really want to take the risk of putting together a spendy gold charm bracelet that could get lost at school or on the playground? Probably not. Unfortunately, though, Claire's doesn't have much of a selection when it comes to charm bracelets, and you'll likely wind up shopping elsewhere.

Gnoce Review 1 Star Rating

Gnoce

1 Star Rating
  • Almost 900 charms to choose from
  • Free shipping on orders over $79
  • 60-day returns
  • 1-year warranty

Gnoce (pronounced "gee-KNOWS" ) offers a wide range of jewelry, from watches and earrings to charm bracelets and more. You'll always find a sale underway, including a regular promotion of "buy 2 get 2 free" on charms.

About two dozen bracelets to choose from

The selection of bracelets at Gnoce is small: just two dozen options ranging from $65 to $145. Our favorite was the Essential Oil Diffuser style, available in multiple lengths and with a pretty family tree design on the clasp covering the diffuser portion.

Nearly 1,000 charms in stock

Charms, on the other hand, are numerous: you'll find almost 900 different choices, priced from $79.95 on the high end (for a rose quartz bead) to many charms under $30. You can either browse everything available, search for a design name you like, or shop by theme. The themes at Gnoce are interesting, to say the least: a whole category for Skulls or "I Love Babies" ? Okay, then. Everything is .925 silver and there are a lot of enamel novelty charms, so don't expect high-end platinum, gold, or gemstone options here.

Not terribly helpful

We didn't find it terribly helpful to shop by theme: for example, in the Vacation and Travel category, there was a nutcracker/soldier charm called Christmas Gift, a pumpkin coach a la Cinderella, and a charm that vaguely resembled a hot air balloon called "To Me You Are Perfect" . Be sure to read the product descriptions carefully for the charm's dimensions, so that you're not surprised by how tiny some of them are.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

60-day returns and 1-year warranty

Gnoce offers free shipping on orders over $79. Other customer-friendly policies include a 60-day return timeframe and a one-year warranty on all jewelry items. That sounds pretty good, right?

Reputation isn't good

Unfortunately, Gnoce's reputation is quite mixed. Look around and you'll see thousands of five-star reviews praising everything from the speed of shipping to the jewelry quality. On the other hand, the Better Business Bureau listing for the company gives it an "F" rating because of 29 complaints that have gone unanswered, and "failure to be transparent about ownership, location, or products/services offered" .

Chinese retailer under the hood

Reading through reviews and complaints at the BBB, we found ample evidence that Gnoce presents itself as a US-based company but in reality it's absolutely a Chinese retailer. People describe having a very hard time getting any kind of response from Gnoce customer service, orders take months to arrive (if they arrive at all), and the most common descriptor used for this retailer is "fake" . We're definitely left suspecting that the positive reviews are either paid for or just made up entirely.

Choose another store for charm bracelets

We wish that Gnoce could be trusted to deliver high-quality charms and bracelets, but there's too much evidence that this company isn't on the up-and-up. Starting with its claims to be based in New York (despite having a Hong Kong address in the "contact us" section of their site) and ending with the "F" from the BBB, Gnoce paints a less-than-trustworthy picture. We recommend buying your charm bracelet somewhere else.

Compare the Best Reviews

Continued from above...

Snake chains are similar in the way the beads slide on, but the bracelet itself is more flexible. Or, if you prefer the kinds of charms that attach with a jump ring or a clasp, you'd choose a more traditional chain bracelet.

Once you've chosen the bracelet style, it's time to have some fun and create something new! What are you commemorating and who will be wearing this unique creation? It's hard to imagine a charm that isn't available somewhere: you won't just see classic graduation years, travel mementoes like miniature Eiffel Towers and palm trees, but also choices that might be considered somewhat... odd. How about a gold bandage or a beaver on skis? You do you!

Now that you have an idea of how your charm bracelet will look, where should you buy it? There are lots of online stores to choose from, so how can you tell where to start? Here are some factors that can help you narrow it down:

  • Selection. Obviously, you'll have an easier time finding what you want if you start with an online retailer that has a large range of options. Some stores have a lot of novelty items in their inventory but nothing on the classic, elegant side.
  • Easy-to-Use Website. An ample inventory isn't much use if you can't easily see what's in stock. How many hoops (*pun intended*) do you have to jump through to browse the charms and bracelets in the store? Is there enough information about each bracelet and charm? We prefer retailers who give actual dimensions, so that shoppers aren't disappointed when they see the charm's size in real life.
  • Gift-giving Options. If the charm bracelet will be a gift, look for a store with perks like free gift wrapping or the "Smart Gift" feature.
  • Return Policy. The best charm bracelet retailers let you send it back if it's not what you had in mind, usually within a 30- or 60-day timeframe. Some stores will even cover the return shipping fees.
  • Reputation. Does the store have good feedback from shoppers? Can it be trusted with your purchase?

To help you find the perfect bracelets and charms, TopConsumerReviews.com has evaluated and ranked today's most popular stores. We're sure this information will enable you to create an amazing themed charm bracelet - or add cute new charms to one you already have!

Charm Bracelet Store FAQ

A charm bracelet is a type of jewelry worn on the wrist that features little trinkets, for lack of a better word, to make it unique. These charms can be dangly and attached by jump links, or they can be shaped like a bead and strung on the bracelet itself. Charm bracelets have been around for thousands of years!
Most charm bracelets are made of gold or sterling silver. You can also find designs made of plastic (not very durable, of course), leather, stainless steel, brass, bronze and pewter. The charms themselves can also be made of those materials, and many of them include gemstones (real or imitation).
As much or as little as you like! You can easily get costume jewelry bracelets for under $15, or you can pay $2,000+ for a 14k gold charm bracelet (and that's just the price of the bracelet itself, without charms yet!). If you're adding to your bracelet over time, that's a great way to make it more affordable instead of buying all of your charms at once.
You've zeroed in on the main reason charm bracelets are still so popular! You can buy a bracelet and charms to represent a meaningful experience: maybe a bangle with charms for each year of someone's life, like a school bus for when they started school and a pair of ballet shoes for the year they began dance lessons. Another popular theme is travel: charms of a mini Eiffel Tower, a passport, and an airplane could show off a past trip (or be a cute way to reveal an upcoming surprise vacation!).
Most retailers have sizing guides to help you determine your wrist size and the recommended bracelet size. Keep in mind that a closed bangle will go on differently than an open bangle, for example, or that you may prefer that a snake chain fit closely or loosely. Also bear in mind that some chain charm bracelets may expand a little over the first year, depending on how often it's worn and how many charms are added.
That depends on the style. Some leather styles may only hold a total of 7 charms, while chain bracelets can usually hold anywhere from 10-20. Read the details on any bracelet you're considering to ensure it can accommodate the number of charms you're imagining.
You won't find a better selection anywhere else! There are a few brick-and-mortar jewelry stores that offer charm bracelets, but your options there will probably be limited at best. Shopping online for a charm bracelet lets you get exactly what you want - you may even buy your bracelet from one retailer and your charms from another. Why not!
Most people prefer to wear their charm bracelets on their non-dominant hand. Especially if you're using bulky and/or dangly charms, they can get in the way or feel irritating when you're writing or doing other things. But, if you wear a watch on your non-dominant wrist, you may not like the feel of the bracelet scraping against it. Go with whatever feels best!
