Hitye is a jewelry brand that offers a wide range of unique and quirky charm bracelets. With its selection of charms featuring everything from "A Chicken Bathing in Ramen" to "Vintage Hot Air Balloon" (complete with a tiny teapot on the bottom), Hitye is a great place to find one-of-a-kind jewelry. As an emerging fashion jewelry brand from China, Hitye focuses on personalized charms and bracelets, making it a great destination for those seeking customized pieces.

Site could use more helpful filters

The easiest way to navigate Hitye's website is by using the categories at the top of the page. Sadly, once you get to browsing, your options for filters are pretty slim. For the charms page, the only way you can filter different charms and beads is through price. There weren't filters for colors, style, or material, which made for a lot of scrolling. When shopping on Hitye's website, you'll also want to pay special attention to the dimensions of each charm. Some charms may be smaller than they appear in photos, and many customers have mentioned being surprised when they received their charms despite clear dimension disclosures in the photos.

Around 52 bracelet styles

Hitye's charm selection includes some off-brand themes that appear to imitate well-known brands or protected intellectual property. You'll find a variety of themes for charms, including holidays, religion, travel, family, and friends. Many of the charms are painted enamel, which adds a touch of whimsy and playfulness to the jewelry. However, if you're looking for more elegant or sophisticated charm bracelets, you may want to explore other retailers. In total, there are 52 different bracelet types. It's unclear if all of them can hold charms or only some of them. You'll see snake style, chains, and bangles all available at Hitye. As far as our research showed, there were only silver bracelets at Hitye and the styles were all their own design. As for beads and charms, we found 335+ different options on Hitye with charms and beads combined.

Prices start at $18.99 per charm

One of the most notable aspects of Hitye is its affordable pricing. You won't find any charm bracelets priced over $80 on their website. To give you an idea of how Hitye stacks up against other retailers, we checked out the prices for charms, beads, gold charm bracelets, and silver charm bracelets. Since charms and beads weren't separated out on Hitye, we combined the price range into a total that includes both. There were also no gold bracelets with Hitye.

  • Charms and Beads: $18.99 to $39.99
  • Gold Bracelets: Not available
  • Silver Bracelets: $19.99 to $75.99

60-day returns + warranty

In terms of customer service, Hitye offers a relatively generous return policy. You have 60 days to make a return, and they will cover the return shipping costs. Hitye also offers a one-year warranty on every charm and bracelet, which provides peace of mind if you're worried about wear and tear on your jewelry.

Not enough buzz to gauge their rep

However, there is limited customer feedback available for Hitye. Their social media channels are sparse, with no customer reviews and little activity. Furthermore, Hitye doesn't have a listing with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) that we could find and we also struggled to find any information on a parent company that might shed light on Hitye. The only shopper reviews we saw were located at the bottom of charm listings, with only a handful of those to speak of. Since these are on Hitye's website we're not sure how curated they are, but most are 4 or 5 stars.

Needs a reputation update

Overall, we give Hitye a lower-than-average rating. While the prices are good for customers looking for low-cost charm bracelets, the lack of information about the company and the limited amount of third-party reviews leaves us a little suspicious. Hitye's unique charm selection and affordable pricing make it an attractive option for those looking for popular styles at a discount, but you may not get exactly what you want according to some feedback with size differences. As the company grows, we hope to see more customer feedback and reviews available in the future.

Charm Bracelet Store FAQ

A charm bracelet is a type of jewelry worn on the wrist that features little trinkets, for lack of a better word, to make it unique. These charms can be dangly and attached by jump links, or they can be shaped like a bead and strung on the bracelet itself. Charm bracelets have been around for thousands of years!
Most charm bracelets are made of gold or sterling silver. You can also find designs made of plastic (not very durable, of course), leather, stainless steel, brass, bronze and pewter. The charms themselves can also be made of those materials, and many of them include gemstones (real or imitation).
As much or as little as you like! You can easily get costume jewelry bracelets for under $15, or you can pay $2,000+ for a 14k gold charm bracelet (and that's just the price of the bracelet itself, without charms yet!). If you're adding to your bracelet over time, that's a great way to make it more affordable instead of buying all of your charms at once.
You've zeroed in on the main reason charm bracelets are still so popular! You can buy a bracelet and charms to represent a meaningful experience: maybe a bangle with charms for each year of someone's life, like a school bus for when they started school and a pair of ballet shoes for the year they began dance lessons. Another popular theme is travel: charms of a mini Eiffel Tower, a passport, and an airplane could show off a past trip (or be a cute way to reveal an upcoming surprise vacation!).
Most retailers have sizing guides to help you determine your wrist size and the recommended bracelet size. Keep in mind that a closed bangle will go on differently than an open bangle, for example, or that you may prefer that a snake chain fit closely or loosely. Also bear in mind that some chain charm bracelets may expand a little over the first year, depending on how often it's worn and how many charms are added.
That depends on the style. Some leather styles may only hold a total of 7 charms, while chain bracelets can usually hold anywhere from 10-20. Read the details on any bracelet you're considering to ensure it can accommodate the number of charms you're imagining.
You won't find a better selection anywhere else! There are a few brick-and-mortar jewelry stores that offer charm bracelets, but your options there will probably be limited at best. Shopping online for a charm bracelet lets you get exactly what you want - you may even buy your bracelet from one retailer and your charms from another. Why not!
Most people prefer to wear their charm bracelets on their non-dominant hand. Especially if you're using bulky and/or dangly charms, they can get in the way or feel irritating when you're writing or doing other things. But, if you wear a watch on your non-dominant wrist, you may not like the feel of the bracelet scraping against it. Go with whatever feels best!

Continued from above...

It's interesting to explore the origins of charm bracelets, which date back to ancient civilizations where they served as a form of identification and protection. The earliest people to wear charm bracelets were the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, and Hittites. Charm bracelets gained immense popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, often given as gifts on special occasions like 16th or 18th birthdays, weddings, or engagements.

Many types of bracelets qualify as charm bracelets. All you need is to put a single charm on them. Some of the popular types of charm bracelets include bangles, characterized by a solid design with an opening on one side. Snake chains, on the other hand, offer a more flexible option, with beads that slide on and off the chain easily. Another popular type of bracelet is the chain bracelet, which typically features charms that attach with a jump ring or clasp. This design is perfect for those who prefer a more traditional look and want to be able to easily add or remove charms as desired.

And don't even get us started on charms. Clip-on charms, slide-on charms, glass beads, or gold-stamped dangles: there's so much to choose from. Basically, if you can imagine it, someone is probably selling a charm for it. And the best part? Depending on where you buy, you have the opportunity to mix and match your charms. You can get them anywhere. You can find classic graduation years, travel mementos like miniature Eiffel Towers and palm trees, and even charms that fit your favorite hobbies or films. Whatever your style, there's a charm bracelet waiting for you. So why not start designing your own unique piece today?

With so many places to get your next charm bracelet, where should you buy it? There are lots of online stores to begin browsing. If you're not sure where to begin narrowing the field, we put together some factors that can help:

  • Selection. Choosing a retailer with a wide selection can help you find more unique and personalized options. Some places offer multiple brands while others only sell their own charm bracelets. Finding a site with a selection that fits your ideal charms and bracelet styles is essential.
  • Easy browsing. Having a solid inventory doesn't do you much good if the browsing experience is terrible. So, as you look through sites to buy charm bracelets, make sure that you're not getting frustrated by the site design or user interface. You should be able to jump right into shopping for what you want with no hassle.
  • Return policy. When shopping for a charm bracelet, it's important to know what your options are if you're not satisfied with your purchase. Most return policies allow you to send the item back within a certain timeframe, typically 30 or 60 days. Some retailers may even cover the cost of return shipping, giving you a hassle-free way to exchange or refund your purchase.
  • Reputation. If you're still not sure where to shop, check out the reviews and ratings for different retailers. This will help you decide if you can trust where you shop. Especially since you're shopping for precious metals in some cases, you want to find a charm bracelet retailer with a top-notch reputation.
