Pandora deserves credit for bringing charm bracelets back into popularity. Although traditional charm bracelets, usually with dangling charms attached by jump rings, are still around, most women wear the style that Pandora is known for: the solid silver or gold style with beads that slide over the bracelet itself. Their selection has expanded to include braided leather styles in a range of colors and solid metal bangles that also accommodate Pandora charms.

As you shop for bracelets, Pandora makes it foolproof to get the right size: most bracelets have a range of sizes, and right above the available sizes you'll find a link to their helpful size guide. We also love that if you see something you like, you can click on the "send a hint" link to let someone know that it's on your wish list.

Many of the bracelets have numerous customer reviews for you to consider. Pandora's two most popular charm bracelets are the Iconic Silver Charm (169 reviews) and the Silver Charm with Heart Clasp (226 reviews), both of which sell for $65. You can read those reviews towards the bottom of each bracelet's page; next to the reviews tab, click on the Ask a Question tab if you need more detailed information or want to see what other customers asked.

Best Charm Bracelet Stores

Pandora charms are the original that others copy. With almost 600 choices, you'll find everything from whimsical to wow. On our most recent visit, we saw cute options like Bruno the Unicorn and Figaro the Disney cat; on the elegant end of the spectrum, we also spotted the Heraldic Radiance charm featuring rose gold plus pink and purple crystals and the Opulent Flower made of 14k gold and cubic zirconia.

Because Pandora tends to set their prices universally, you'll usually find the same price whether you shop directly from the Pandora store or on a competitor site. Of course, Pandora wants you to buy directly from them - so they offer free 3-day shipping on every order. Plus, shopping on the Pandora site ensures that you're getting genuine merchandise, not a counterfeit. And, you may find a wider selection of Pandora charms on the official site than when you shop through a third-party seller.

But, that also means you won't find any compatible charm brands: you're limited to just what Pandora offers. There are many other brands whose charms fit the traditional Pandora bracelet style, in designs that Pandora doesn't offer. That's worth keeping in mind, especially if you're trying to create a themed bracelet.

If you get your bracelet or charm and it's not what you were expecting, you can return it within 30 days of purchase by mail or to a Pandora retail location. However, it's important to note that if you return an online order to a local store, you will only get a merchandise credit to be used there instead of a refund. For that reason, you might want to take advantage of the free, prepaid shipping label to send it back to Pandora directly.

There's no question that Pandora charm bracelets and charms are well-made and beautiful, setting the standard that most charm bracelets try to imitate. A solid return policy and perks like free shipping make the Pandora online store a great place to shop.

Where Can You Get the Best Charm Bracelets?

There are many online retailers that offer an incredible selection of bracelets and individual charms, making it easy to find the perfect addition to your jewelry collection - or to honor a special someone with a gift tailored exactly to their interests and experiences.

Although charm bracelets were originally designed to either bring good luck or ward off evil spirits - often with symbols like horseshoes and four-leaf clovers - today's trends use charm bracelets for less superstitious reasons. Many parents start a charm bracelet when their daughter is born, adding a new charm each year to commemorate a treasured memory and then giving her the completed bracelet for her 16th birthday or quinceanera.

Charm Bracelet Store FAQ

A charm bracelet is a type of jewelry worn on the wrist that features little trinkets, for lack of a better word, to make it unique. These charms can be dangly and attached by jump links, or they can be shaped like a bead and strung on the bracelet itself. Charm bracelets have been around for thousands of years!
Most charm bracelets are made of gold or sterling silver. You can also find designs made of plastic (not very durable, of course), leather, stainless steel, brass, bronze and pewter. The charms themselves can also be made of those materials, and many of them include gemstones (real or imitation).
As much or as little as you like! You can easily get costume jewelry bracelets for under $15, or you can pay $2,000+ for a 14k gold charm bracelet (and that's just the price of the bracelet itself, without charms yet!). If you're adding to your bracelet over time, that's a great way to make it more affordable instead of buying all of your charms at once.
You've zeroed in on the main reason charm bracelets are still so popular! You can buy a bracelet and charms to represent a meaningful experience: maybe a bangle with charms for each year of someone's life, like a school bus for when they started school and a pair of ballet shoes for the year they began dance lessons. Another popular theme is travel: charms of a mini Eiffel Tower, a passport, and an airplane could show off a past trip (or be a cute way to reveal an upcoming surprise vacation!).
Most retailers have sizing guides to help you determine your wrist size and the recommended bracelet size. Keep in mind that a closed bangle will go on differently than an open bangle, for example, or that you may prefer that a snake chain fit closely or loosely. Also bear in mind that some chain charm bracelets may expand a little over the first year, depending on how often it's worn and how many charms are added.
That depends on the style. Some leather styles may only hold a total of 7 charms, while chain bracelets can usually hold anywhere from 10-20. Read the details on any bracelet you're considering to ensure it can accommodate the number of charms you're imagining.
You won't find a better selection anywhere else! There are a few brick-and-mortar jewelry stores that offer charm bracelets, but your options there will probably be limited at best. Shopping online for a charm bracelet lets you get exactly what you want - you may even buy your bracelet from one retailer and your charms from another. Why not!
Most people prefer to wear their charm bracelets on their non-dominant hand. Especially if you're using bulky and/or dangly charms, they can get in the way or feel irritating when you're writing or doing other things. But, if you wear a watch on your non-dominant wrist, you may not like the feel of the bracelet scraping against it. Go with whatever feels best!

Continued from above...

Another popular theme for charm bracelets is travel. Imagine how quickly those memories come back as you see your Eiffel Tower dangle charm, Mickey Mouse glass bead, or passport charm on your wrist every day.

And, of course, charm bracelets are ideal for accessorizing. With thousands of charms available in silver, gold, and the full spectrum of colors, there's no end to the possibilities. Silver and blue with snowflakes for winter? Pumpkins and leaves for autumn? Sun beads, flip-flop dangles, and palm trees for the summer? You can do all that and much more with a charm bracelet.

As you shop for your bracelet and charms, how can you tell which online stores should get your business? Here are several criteria to keep in mind:

  • Variety. How many bracelets and charms does the retailer offer? The more charms they sell, the less likely it is that you'll have to spend your time shopping on more than one website. Can you get a range of brands and styles, or is the selection limited to just one or two?
  • Price. How does the store compare with other retailers? Is shipping included with your purchase? Are there any discounts or rewards programs?
  • Return Policy. If you receive your bracelet and/or charms and aren't satisfied, can you return them for a full refund?
  • Reputation. What do other customers say about their experience with the store? Are they rated and/or accredited by the Better Business Bureau?
