If you're looking for a chocolate experience that is also edible art, Compartes is going to be the site for you. This chocolatier has been around since 1950, and it promises you an avant-garde treat with every bite. The company's recent direction has been led by Jonathan Grahm , and every chocolate is handcrafted and designed by a team of chocolatiers and artists. Known worldwide, Compartes has earned acclaim from Oprah and the Smithsonian Museum. If you want creative and colorful chocolates, you'll want to check out the chocolate gift boxes at Compartes.

Feels like you're looking through an art gallery

If you're not immediately dazzled by the colorful, gemstone-like chocolates on Compartes's main page, you can find the chocolate gift boxes by following the "Gift” tab to "Chocolate Boxes”. From here you'll see a scrolling list of the different chocolate boxes. Complete with colorful photos (yep, those are chocolates, not makeup palettes), a title (including the number of chocolates in the box), and the price. Everything, from the packaging to the unique designs on the chocolates themselves, is artistically done. Once you pick a box and click through, you'll see further options for sizes (10, 20, 40, or 80pc on most orders), a full description, a list of ingredients, and storage instructions for your chocolates when they arrive.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

167 boxes and over 8 flavors to choose from

There are 167 different chocolate gift boxes available at Compartes. The boxes include an array of chocolate treats including truffles, bars, chocolate-covered fruits, holiday-themed treats, caramels, and more. Using the filters can help you narrow down your preferences from a range of boozy flavors (like whiskey-infused chocolate) to fruits, nuts, and salty options. Some of the flavors that stood out were:

  • Macallan Scotch Whiskey
  • Moet Champagne
  • Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate
  • Apple Pie
  • Gingerbread
  • Pecan Pie
  • Sticky Toffee
  • Blackberry Sage

You can also find selections of fully vegan chocolate at Compartes, and some of these treats are decorated in 24-karat edible gold (Fellas, you might want to be taking notes for Valentine's Day).

Pricing from $19.95 to $499.95

Given that these are pieces of edible art, the prices vary widely depending on which chocolate gift box you choose. The lowest-cost box offered by Compartes is the 5 Piece Small Box of Chocolate Truffles for $19.95. On the other end of the spectrum, you can grab the Compartes Epic Chocolate Gift Bundle which includes an 80 Piece truffle box, 24 full-size chocolate bars, and all of the Luxury Hot Cocoa options. This massive gift box costs $499.95.

Shipping from $18.95 to $63.06

Compartes offers a "No Melt Shipping Guarantee” that promises that you'll never get melted chocolates. Any shipments sent to warmer climates (we're looking at you, Florida) will be sent with ice packs to preserve your chocolates every step of the way. The guarantee includes UPS shipping, UPS 2-day shipping, and UPS next-day shipping. Now, the actual cost of shipping isn't the most affordable. If you pick standard (5-8 business days) shipping, the cost is $18.95. For 2-day shipping, the price will go up to $46.63, and for UPS next-day the cost is $63.06. These were all prices for our location, so the final cost may be different depending on where you live.

Committed to helping, but no details

Compartes states that it's committed to helping you have the best possible experience. So, if you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can reach out to their customer service. However, there aren't any specific details on whether you will receive a refund or reshipment if something goes wrong. You'll have to wait for Compartes to decide once you reach out.

Flavors are out of this world

At the time of our review, Compartes was not rated by the Better Business Bureau. Our research showed a few reviews on Trustpilot, which showed an average rating of 3.6 stars out of 5 with 60% of the reviews rated at a full 5 stars. Customers praise how easy it is to order from Compartes, and that the flavors were very unique and "out of this world” according to one reviewer. There are a few complaints about issues on the website, but we didn't encounter any of those during our research, so Compartes seems to have solved any browsing issues.

A feast for your eyes

Coming in as the "most beautiful chocolates” in our review, Compartes is the chocolatier you definitely want to check out. If you want to send an extra special chocolate gift box to someone, Compartes is one of the most eye-catching choices you could make. This edible art is beautiful, exciting, and the most memorable treat on our list. And, the best part is that reviews say the flavor lives up to the pretty designs. For these reasons, and the fact that this luxury chocolate experience is more affordable than some other high-end selections, Compartes earns a full 5-star rating in our review and the top spot for chocolate gift boxes.

Z Chocolat Review 4.5 Star Rating

Z Chocolat

4.5 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $120 to $418 for gift boxes
  • 7 listed packages to choose from
  • 15 chocolate flavors
  • Chocolates, rochers, pralines and more
  • Tray-style presentation
  • Shipping starts at $20.40
  • 100% satisfaction guarantee
  • 4.9-star average rating

zChocolat is one of the newer chocolatiers in our review. Opened by Jean-Philippe Khodara, zChocolat started making chocolates in 2000. He prioritized quality right away, seeking out natural ingredients from responsibly-sourced farms and providers. He also hired the World Champion Chocolatier Pascal Caffet to create zChocolat's line of luxury confections. If you're looking for a French chocolate experience, zChocolat is a great service, especially if you have an eye for the finer things in life.

Beautiful listings with photos of every treat

zChocolat provides a feast for your eyes as soon as you land on the main page. You can see tons of trending chocolate gift boxes with beautifully crafted chocolates in cute square shapes (with the "Z” emblem on top) and selections of macarons. You can start looking through chocolate gift boxes from anywhere on the site, but if you want a more targeted shopping experience, you can use the top navigation bar to go under the "Chocolate” tab and click on "Gift Baskets” to see the assortments designed for gifting, specifically. The listing photos show every single sweet bite included in the package. Each listing has a fun name, the price, and a list of what treats you're looking at in the listing photos.

Helpful chocolate descriptions

If you click through the "Discover” button on a particular box of chocolates, you'll get a four-paragraph description of the chocolates along with details of how the chocolate was made. You'll also have options to add a message card for gifting purposes. Unfortunately (and a little surprisingly), zChocolat does not include any ingredient lists or allergen information on the listings pages.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

7 boxes and 15 chocolate flavors

There are 7 different chocolate gift boxes to choose from at this luxury chocolatier. They include assortments of hand-made chocolates, rochers, bars, nougats, biscuits, french sable, amandes, oursons, and more. In terms of the chocolates themselves, we saw 15 different flavors included in the boxes. Some of the standout flavors include:

  • Iranian pistachio with almond paste
  • Coffee ganache with caramelized hazelnuts
  • Passionfruit and coconut caramel
  • Crunchy hazelnut and praline and salty caramel
  • Vanilla ganache infused with lavender
  • Hazelnut Italian Gianduja

You can also buy individual items (like the boxes of chocolates) separately if you want a smaller selection of treats.

Pricing from $120 to $418 for gift boxes

zChocolat is a luxury chocolatier, and you'll see that reflected in the costs. The least costly chocolate gift box at zChocolat is the "Pearl” which is $120. The top-level chocolate box at zChocolat is the Delicacies & Chocolate which includes 14 assortments of chocolates (15 chocolates in each box), and a variety of nuts, fruits, and more. This gift box costs $418. If you are interested in just one box of chocolates (rather than a gift box assortment), you can score 15 chocolates for $52.51.

Shipping from $20.40 to $41.32

You can't see the cost of shipping until you finish checkout, and to do that, you'll need to make an account with zChocolat. Once you make it to checkout, you'll be allowed to select a delivery date. These can be limited depending on when you want your chocolate gift box shipped. Regrettably, the cost of shipping is extremely high at zChocolat. The basic cost of shipping in our area for delivery before 6pm was quoted at $20.40. If you want it delivered before noon, it will cost $30.86. The final option, delivery before 9am, was quoted at $41.32. There was also a note about an additional surcharge of $3.14 for fuel consumption for each item in your cart.

100% satisfaction guarantee

zChocolat offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. The company promises that they will immediately replace or refund your order if it is not 100% accurate or up to your standards. The policy states that this applies at any time and for any reason, so there are no limitations on reshipment.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

No complaints for this top-quality chocolatier

While zChocolat is not currently rated by the Better Business Bureau, it has a fantastic reputation on third-party review sites like Trustpilot. Currently, this chocolatier shows a 4.9-star average rating with thousands of reviews to back up the score. Customers love the delightful flavors, the quality of the chocolate, and the level of craftsmanship that really makes this a luxurious experience from start to finish. Customers from around the world are thrilled with their purchases, and we struggled to find any complaints. Even the high prices weren't a problem given the impressive quality of the chocolates at zChocolat.

Top choice for luxury chocolates

If you want a luxury experience that's definitely going to wow, you'll want to shop for your next chocolate gift box at zChocolat. While the price point is a little high for their gifts, you can get single boxes and a-la-carte treats for a more reasonable cost. While the shipping is costly, customers say that the experience is worth it. For this reason, it earns the second-place spot in our review as a close second to our top pick. zChocolat is absolutely the top luxury experience, but for its higher-than-average costs, it doesn't quite make first place.

Ghirardelli Review 4 Star Rating

Ghirardelli

4 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $9.95 to $224.95
  • 25 listed packages to choose from
  • 18 flavors
  • Squares, chocolate sauce, and cocoa
  • Individually wrapped
  • $9.95 for shipping
  • 14-day return policy
  • "A+” rating and accreditation from the BBB

Ghirardelli chocolate is one of the most well-known names for chocolate confections. All of Ghirardelli's chocolates are sourced from high-quality cacao beans that are roasted the "special” Ghirardelli way to give you a slow-melting, textured chocolate that's been the same since 1852. Ghirardelli also works to promote sustainability. As part of the Lindt & Sprungli group, this chocolatier is part of a farming program that supports local growers of cacao in their home countries and returns money back to those areas by building and refurbishing schools and providing clean water in cacao origin countries.

Detailed photos of the chocolate boxes

Ghirardelli is all about chocolate, so you can browse right from the front page and start seeing packages and bundles for all of their treats. If you want to jump right to chocolate gift boxes, use the "Shop Chocolate” tab under the top navigation bar and then click "Gift Boxes” to start searching. The photos of the listings show the entire assortment, from boxes that are just chocolate to those that include caramels, cocoa mugs, and jams. Each listing shows the name of the box, the number of pieces (or ounces) included, the price, and on listings that have it, star ratings. When you click on a specific listing, you'll see a brief description of the item and a full list of nutrition information and ingredients.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

25 different boxes and 18 flavors of squares

Most of the boxes are an assortment of Ghirardelli squares. These are all individually wrapped, and provide a range of flavors. In total, there are 25 different chocolate gift boxes at Ghirardelli, including those with Ghirardelli Squares and those with a range of decadent chocolate-related treats like hot chocolate, bars, chocolate sauce, fudge sauce, and chocolate squares. You will also find Ghirardelli's peppermint bark too. Some of the standout flavors for the Ghirardelli Squares include:

  • Milk Chocolate Caramel
  • Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel
  • Milk Chocolate Mint
  • White Chocolate Sugar Cookies
  • Dark Chocolate Raspberry
  • Dark Chocolate Macchiato
  • Intense Dark Chocolate 92% Cacao

In all, you'll find 18 different flavors of Ghirardelli Squares, with some packages offering mix-and-match options for your box.

Pricing from $9.95 to $224.95

The least expensive chocolate gift box at Ghirardelli is the San Francisco Cable Car Tin (6pc). This includes 2 different chocolate square flavors (3 of each) for $9.95. The most costly option is the Chocolate Favor Gift Box which includes 24 mini boxes with 5 Chocolate Squares in them. This is a great idea if you need to give gifts to multiple people at the office (or a fun treat for the grandkids). This multi-pack box is $224.95. The box with the most chocolate in it is the 500 Pick & Mix Chocolate Squares for $199.95.

Shipping is free on orders $75+

Ghirardelli offers $9.99 flat rate shipping on all its orders. Regardless of how many chocolates you order or the size, you won't be charged more for shipping. And, if you buy more than $75 worth of chocolates, you'll qualify for Ghirardelli's free shipping deal.

14-day return and refund policy

Ghirardelli promises that their chocolates will always be fresh, and if you're not completely satisfied with your order when it arrives, you have 14 days to contact customer service. Since Ghirardelli chocolates are individually wrapped, you can return the items for a full refund. If you prefer, Ghirardelli also offers reshipment as an alternative. You will need to provide photos of any issues to help illustrate the problem.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

Praise for reliable chocolates

Ghirardelli holds an impressive "A+” rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. On top of that, it has a solid reputation on third-party review sites. While its general online reputation on Trustpilot is a 3.9-star average out of 5, customers who have bought chocolates from a local Ghirardelli location give the company a resounding 4.5-star average out of 5. Customers say the chocolates are all reliably made: you can trust the flavors to be good every time. While some found the dark chocolate "too dark” for their taste, most of the chocolates at Ghirardelli are highly praised.

Tasty squares are a fan-favorite

Ghirardelli is a top pick if you love chocolate squares. A popular chocolatier with a range of fun flavors to try, you can't go wrong with this simple chocolate gift box solution. However, if you're a fan of truffles or chocolate-covered treats outside of chocolate squares, you might be disappointed by Ghirardelli's selection. On the other hand, with a great return policy, and solid ratings online, it comes in as a trustworthy choice for your next chocolate gift box purchase.

Russell Stover Review 4 Star Rating

Russell Stover

4 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $2.99 to $239.99
  • 31 listed packages to choose from
  • 13+ flavors
  • Chocolates, truffles, and nut clusters
  • Tray-style presentation
  • Free shipping on $75+
  • Russell Stover Guarantee
  • 4.5-star average rating
  • "B+” rating from the BBB

Russell Stover is an American chocolatier that's been open since 1923. Known as a family favorite for generations, Russell Stover's chocolates are handcrafted in small batches with the original recipes created by the founder, Clara Stover. All of the Russell Stover chocolates are made in the US with chocolate factories in Kansas and Texas. The company offers a wide range of chocolate confections including sugar-free, chocolate bars, and holiday treats.

Jump right into chocolate boxes

To find the Russell Stover chocolate gift boxes, you can either scroll down the main page to the gift boxes on display or browse under the "Chocolate” tab and click on the "Gift Boxes” button under "Flavors”. The listing images show all of the treats nestled inside their tray boxes, and you can see the name of the package and the price. When you click through to a particular box or assortment, you'll find a detailed description of the box, a full list of all the chocolates included (for those with multiple flavors), and a complete rundown of the nutrition and ingredients. Russell Stover also provides delivery details on each listing.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

31 boxes and 13+ flavors and treats

Russell Stover has plenty of chocolate boxes and assortments to pick from. Across the entire selection, there are 31 chocolate gift boxes, including some unique assortments like the Forrest Gump 30th Anniversary Assorted Milk & Dark Chocolate. There are 13 different flavors in the largest box and a range of extras like French Chocolate Mints or Pecan Delights which are separate from the chocolate flavors. Here are some of the standouts:

  • Milk Chocolate Caramel
  • Milk Chocolate Toffee
  • Milk Chocolate Strawberry Creme
  • Milk Chocolate Maple Nut Butter
  • Dark Chocolate Truffle
  • Dark Chocolate Vanilla Creme
  • Dark Chocolate Orange Creme

Pricing from $2.99 to $239.99

Russell Stover is one of the most affordable spots to grab a chocolate gift box. You can get a box of Russell Stover chocolates for $2.99 (for three treats). Most of the boxes range around $11.99 to $12.99 with only a few of the most costly going above that price point. At the high end, you'll find the Copper Pick & Mix Gift Box (500pc) for $239.99. In general, though (if you're not shopping for 500 chocolates), you can easily score a solid chocolate gift box for under $20 at Russell Stover.

Free shipping on $75+

For our order, we were quoted shipping at a $9.95 flat rate for FedEx ground, $25.95 for 2-day, and $39.95 for next-day shipping. These prices may change depending on your location. On the bright side, if you spend $75+ on chocolates from Russell Stover, you'll score free shipping. So, if you're planning to buy for a group or just want some extra chocolate around, you can skip the shipping costs with this chocolatier.

Guarantee without many details

Russell Stover doesn't have a very detailed return or refund policy, but the company does offer a guarantee. The Russell Stover Guarantee states that they deliver high-quality and fresh chocolates in every box. If you're not satisfied with your order for any reason, Russell Stover asks that you save any unused chocolates and the packaging and contact them for support. At the time of our review, there was no mention of what this would entail (reshipment or refund), so you'll have to wait and see.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

Solid reviews from locals

At the time of our review, Russell Stover held a "B+” rating from the Better Business Bureau. Oddly, there were only a handful of reviews on Sitejabber and Trustpilot which don't seem reflective of the overall reputation we saw on other review sites like Tripadvisor and Yelp (there are exactly 3 total reviews with a 2.8-star average on Trustpilot, but a 4-star average on Yelp where there are hundreds of reviews). In general, customers praise the quality and consistent flavor of Russell Stover chocolates. Many customers drive out of their way to a location that sells Russell Stover to grab their chocolatey favorites. The reviews were just as good on Tripadvisor where Russell Stover holds a 4.5-star average. While this didn't give us a lot of information about the online purchase process since all of the reviews were local, it's clear that Russell Stover remains a family favorite for many chocolate fans.

Top pick for affordable chocolate boxes

If you're looking for a cost-effective choice for a chocolate gift box, Russell Stover is going to be the place to pick. The flavors are solid, the prices are fantastic, and with high praise from local reviewers, Russell Stover stands out as a top choice for a low-cost treat or gift. We would love to see more reviews for the online purchase process and a more transparent refund policy, so these factors bring down Russell Stover a notch in our ratings. But if you're looking for a place to grab a solid deal on a box of chocolates, Russell Stover is the place to browse.

Astor Chocolate Review 3.5 Star Rating

Astor Chocolate

3.5 Star Rating
  • Pricing at $6.99 to $124.99 per package
  • 36 gift boxes
  • 22+ flavors
  • Truffles, bars, bark, and snacks
  • One-stop shop for chocolate treats
  • Great for gifting
  • 4.1-star average rating

Astor Chocolate is a chocolatier that's been around for over 95 years, founded by Erwin Grunhut. Promising the finest ingredients with ethically-sourced fruits, nuts, and unique flavors from around the world. All of the recipes are perfected by hand by Astor Chocolate's Chef Chocolatier. This company was one of the first chocolatiers to import pure Belgian chocolate to the US. Now, Astor Chocolate is known as a preferred chocolate for first-class flights and five-star hotels.

Beautiful boxes on display

Astor Chocolate has a simple website that makes it easy to find what you need. The main page will show you a range of chocolate bars that are holiday specials for the current year as well as special packages for Hanukkah and signature collections. To jump straight to the chocolate gift boxes, you'll want to use the navigation bar to select "Gifts” and then click "Gift Boxes”. From there, you'll see a scrolling window picturing different chocolate gift boxes. Oddly, some of the photos don't show the chocolates, just the boxes themselves. Each listing has a name, the number of chocolate pieces in each box, star ratings, and the price. When you click through to a specific box, you'll see a full description that lists every flavor of chocolate included in the package, a full list of ingredients and nutrition facts, and care details for your chocolates upon arrival. There is one snag, though: some of the chocolates may be out of stock, which is something you won't see until you click on the listing.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

36 gift boxes and 22+ chocolate flavors

There are 36 different gift boxes in the inventory at Astor Chocolate. These include chocolate truffles, chocolate bark, chocolate squares, chocolate bars, variety samplers with pretzels and cookies, and chocolate-covered marshmallows. The chocolate squares are the most popular, with 7 different items in stock, followed closely by the truffle assortment which has 5 different styles. Some of the different flavors we saw in the chocolate gift boxes include:

  • White Chocolate & Passionfruit
  • White Chocolate Cheesecake
  • Milk Chocolate Caramel
  • Champagne Black Currant Dark Chocolate
  • Graham Crunch and Chocolate

In each box, most of the assortments are all different chocolates, so the Holiday 22pc Grand Elite Assorted Truffle Box included 22 totally different flavors. So, you know that Astor Chocolate has at least that many on its menu.

Pricing from $6.99 to $124.99 per package

There are boxes for every price range here, despite this being a luxury chocolatier. The prices start at $6.99 for the Holiday Red Sparkle Box with Assorted Microdot Truffles (4pc). At the high end, you'll find the Holiday Grand Elite 3-Tier Tower with 6 truffle cups, 18 truffles, and 25 chocolate-covered marshmallows. This assortment goes for $124.99. If you want a box with just chocolates (no marshmallows) you can grab the Moodibars Assorted Squares Tub (120pc) for $84.99.

Shipping From $20.95 to $34.95

Regrettably, shopping is quite expensive at Astor Chocolate. We were offered two shipping options for our area. The least costly was $20.95 for 2-day shipping. The only other option was next-day shipping for $34.95. Astor Chocolate's shipping policy states that the cost of shipping will vary depending on the size of your order. However, you are getting insulation with your shipment to keep your chocolates from melting in transit.

No policy for refunds

At the time of our review, Astor Chocolate does not offer any kind of return policy. They will not accept any returns of food items. If you have damage or an issue with your order when it arrives, you are invited to contact Astor Chocolate so they can "evaluate the issue”. There is no specific promise for a refund or reshipment in any case.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

Praise for texture, but not many reviews

Currently, there aren't a lot of reviews out there for Astor Chocolate. The company does not have a page with the Better Business Bureau, and there are no reviews for this chocolatier on third-party sites like Trustpilot or Sitejabber. We did find some reviews for Astor Chocolate on Yelp where locals visited the New Jersey location. Customers particularly praise the Moodibars (chocolate bars), and customers say that the chocolates are "melt in your mouth amazing.” The average rating for Astor Chocolate on Yelp is 4.1 stars out of 5. However, the most recent review is from 2022, so there is some concern about whether or not this feedback is up to date.

Misses the mark on customer service

While this high-end chocolatier may be a favorite with hotels and airlines, we feel a little more mixed about this chocolate gift box site. While the range of flavors is impressive, the total lack of a refund policy doesn't bode well for its customer service. Plus, with no reviews more recent than 2022, we're a little concerned about the lack of buzz from chocolate fans. However, the reasonable cost for "luxury" chocolate and the large number of boxes available make it a more competitive option than some. For this reason, it earns a slightly above-average rating overall.

Vosges Haut-Chocolat Review 3 Star Rating

Vosges Haut-Chocolat

3 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $80 to $220
  • 14 listed packages to choose from
  • 16+ flavors
  • Chocolates, truffles, snacks, and more
  • Tray-style presentation
  • Between $15 to $60 for shipping
  • 4-star average rating

Vosges Chocolate is a chocolatier that claims to be all about "chocolate and alchemy”. If you ever wanted to find a chocolate shop with a "witchy” feel (y'know like crystals, chakras, and incense), this is your place. Vosges Chocolate got its start in 1998 as a way to "open minds, spirits and palates” through delicious chocolate. One of the most impressive features of Vosges Chocolate is its ingredient transparency. They list the location where they get every major ingredient. For example, olive oil is sourced from Greece, curry powder from India, I.G.P Piemonte Hazelnut from Italy, and 24k edible gold from Germany. Whether you want to work on your chakras, or just enjoy an international suite of flavors, Vosges Chocolate is a unique spot to grab a chocolate gift box.

Every detail you could wish for on listing pages

Vosges Chocolate is all about packages, boxes, and collections. You can grab some individual items, but to find the chocolate gift boxes, you'll want to use the "Shop” tab on the top navigation bar and click on "Gift Sets & Towers”. From there you'll find an array of chocolate gift boxes and collections. The pictures focus on the packaging at first glance, but if you roll over the photos, you'll see an alternate picture that shows the chocolates in the box to preview the variety. The listings also show the name of the box, the star ratings for each package, and the price. When you click on a specific gift box, you'll see expanded photos, a full list of what's inside (with links if you want to buy specific items separately), sourcing details, tasting notes, smell, and care details after shipping. Under the "Care” section of the listing, you'll also find all the allergen and ingredient information.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

14 boxes to choose from and 16+ flavors of chocolate

There are 14 different chocolate gift boxes on Vosges Chocolate's website. These range from multi-box towers to a "Hatbox” style with multiple chocolate types in each container. There are a few boxes that are actually subscription plans too, in case you want a box of chocolates delivered regularly to your (or a loved one's) door. In one box we saw up to 16 different flavors including:

  • Exotic Chocolate Truffle
  • I.G.P. Piemonte Hazelnut Praline
  • Caramel and Chocolate
  • Caramel Toffee
  • Caramel Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

Vosges Chocolate also offers some "pairing” truffles designed to be eaten alongside wine or whiskey.

Pricing from $80 to $220

While individual chocolates aren't too costly at Vosges Chocolate, the chocolate gift boxes may not be ideal for those on a budget. On the low end, the Petit Gift Tower is $80. This includes 9pcs of truffles, a half pound of caramel toffee, and 6pcs of Red Hawaiian Caramels. At the high end, the Classic Parcel is a $220 package that includes 16pcs of truffles, 9pcs of I.G.P Piemonte Hazelnut Praline bonbons, 9 mini chocolate bars, 12 caramels, a half pound of caramel toffee, and 9pcs of caramel marshmallows.

Shipping between $15 to $60 depending on the date

To see shipping costs, you'll need to select a delivery date during checkout. We tried a couple of different dates, and the costs did change depending on when we wanted our chocolate delivered. For example, one day was $15 for 2-day shipping and another charged $28 for the same shipping speed. The highest shipping charge we saw was $60 for overnight shipping.

No listed details on refunds

As with many of the chocolatiers in our review, Vosges Chocolate does not allow for any returns of its chocolates as the items are perishable. However, if you're unsatisfied for any reason, Vosges Chocolate asks that you reach out to their concierge. But, at the time of our review, there were no promises on whether or not you will get a refund or reshipment in the case of a problem.

More negative comments in recent years

At the time of our review Vosges Chocolate held a "B-” rating from the Better Business Bureau. The reason for the lower-than-average rating is that Vosges Chocolate has failed to respond to complaints filed against the business. On third-party review sites like Trustpilot, there is only 1 total review for Vosges Chocolate. Instead, we checked out its reputation on Tripadvisor. Vosges Chocolate has a 4-star average rating there, but the most recent reviews were all 1 or 2 stars. There were complaints about reliability, how costly the chocolates were, and the lack of care for customers when resolving issues. While Vosges Chocolate remains the "favorite chocolate place” for many reviewers, we're a bit concerned about the increasing number of negative reviews.

The vibes aren't there for customer service

For a chocolatier that's all about the "vibes”, Vosges Chocolate isn't quite bringing their best energy in the customer service department. While the chocolates at Vosges Chocolate look beautiful and the boxes have a range of fun and exciting flavors, the customer service just isn't up to snuff. With high prices overall for both the boxes and the shipping (on some days), Vosges Chocolate won't be ideal for chocolate fans on a budget. Plus, with minimal reviews on third-party sites, Vosges Chocolate earns a mid-tier rating in our review.

Hotel Chocolat Review 3 Star Rating

Hotel Chocolat

3 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $150 to $540
  • 4 listed packages to choose from
  • 14 flavors
  • Chocolates, caramels, hot cocoa, and bark
  • Free shipping on $50+
  • Happiness Guarantee

Hotel Chocolat was founded by Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris, who wanted to "transform” the way you enjoy chocolate. They wanted a playful approach to this decadent treat with more cocoa and less sugar. Known for its hot chocolate "Velvetiser", Hotel Chocolat is a standout for hot chocolate as well as chocolate truffles and bars. Today Hotel Chocolat has 126 stores in the UK and serves a range of bars and restaurants. The chocolate is all made in Cambridge, UK. More recently Hotel Chocolat began offering its chocolates and gift boxes in Japan and the USA (as of 2023).

Click through to listings to see prices

Browsing for chocolates at Hotel Chocolat makes you feel like you've stepped into a mix of Willy Wonka and a Cambridge Library. The warm and inviting website makes it simple to find chocolate gift boxes. All you need to do is click "Chocolate” on the navigation bar, and you'll see a scrolling list of the collections and boxes offered at Hotel Chocolat. Each listing shows a photo of the entire "collection” with a short description. Some of the items have a maximum purchase allowance (so you can't buy more than two of the festive collections, for example), and a "Shop Now” button to take you to the purchase page for individual packages. Once you get to a specific listing page, you'll see a more detailed description of everything you'll find in the collection, a full list of ingredients and allergens, and the shipping policies.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

4 packages and around 14 flavors

There were 4 different chocolate gift boxes at Hotel Chocolat at the time of our review. These may rotate seasonally, as all of them qualify as "festive” collections. The bundles and collections include a variety of chocolate treats, including an all-milk chocolate collection, a dark chocolate collection, an "everything” collection, and the "Ultimate Bundle” which includes a Velevetiser Starter Kit for making your own hot chocolate. You can find classic chocolates, chocolate almonds, chocolate batons (like a Kit-Kat shape), and a range of cute chocolate designs in fun shapes like Caramel Penguins. Across the different boxes, we found around 14 individual flavors of chocolates, though Hotel Chocolat lacked some transparency on the exact details of the flavors. You're left to kind of sleuth out the contents by checking the ingredients list, which doesn't separate out ingredients by each chocolate, regrettably.

Pricing from $150 to $540

Pricing is simple at Hotel Chocolat, but it isn't cheap. The Milk and Dark collections are $150 each, the Everything Collection is $250, and the Ultimate Bundle is $540. There are occasionally sales that help with this cost. For example, at the time of our review, there was a promotion on the Ultimate Bundle that made that particular chocolate gift box $400 instead. There is also the opportunity to get 10% off by reading through the history of the company in a popup window and going through a little interactive story. Once you're finished, you'll just have to add your name and email address to get the discount.

Shipping is free on orders $50+

If you spend more than $50 at Hotel Chocolat, you'll qualify for free standard shipping (2-5 days) to any address in the contiguous US. Since all of the chocolate gift boxes offered by Hotel Chocolat are well over $50, you can be sure to get free shipping any time you order. While it doesn't make the boxes more affordable, it does help keep costs down (and avoid any sticker shock when you check out).

Happiness Guarantee included

There isn't a specific refund policy for Hotel Chocolat, but the company offers a Happiness Guarantee listed on every single item in its inventory. The guarantee states that all chocolate that you purchase is covered by the guarantee and that if you aren't happy, Hotel Chocolat will "do everything” they can to solve the problem. However, there's no mention of refunds or reshipments in the actual guarantee details.

Rave reviews for chocolate flavors

Regrettably, Hotel Chocolat holds a "C” rating from the Better Business Bureau, and there are currently no reviews on the BBB for this chocolatier. We did find plenty of reviews on Trustpilot during our research. Over 50,000 customers have left reviews for Hotel Chocolat with an average rating of 3.9 stars out of 5. There is ample praise for the delivery and quality of the chocolate. One reviewer said the flavor of her chocolates was "absolute heaven” and that she plans to buy Hotel Chocolat's sweets on repeat. Most of the poor reviews show that customers ordered Hotel Chocolat sweets from other vendors, and owed most of their complaints to the delivery service through that vendor rather than Hotel Chocolat itself.

A balanced choice if you can afford it

Hotel Chocolat is a mixed bag in terms of chocolate gift boxes. It has great flavors, but the details on those flavors are hard to find on the Hotel Chocolat website. The company offers competitive guarantees and a low threshold for free shipping, but it's also extremely pricey and may be out of budget for many chocolate fans. Overall, Hotel Chocolat earns a balanced rating in our review. It's definitely worth a look, but you may want to search elsewhere for your chocolate gift boxes if budget is a primary concern.

La Maison Du Chocolat Review 2.5 Star Rating

La Maison Du Chocolat

2.5 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $10 to $300
  • 15 listed packages to choose from
  • 24+ flavors
  • Chocolates, ganaches, and pralines
  • Tray-style presentation
  • Costs start at $20.88 for shipping
  • 4.1-star average rating on Yelp

La Maison Du Chocolat was founded in 1977 by Robert Linxe who was known as the "ganache wizard” in Paris. La Maison Du Chocolat focuses on gastronomy: the relationship between food and culture, and how preparation changes the experience (also known as the science of good eating). La Maison Du Chocolat also participates in some of the greatest chocolate sculptures in the world with a dedicated team of "chocolate goldsmiths” that sculpt chocolate for days to create art from one of the most decadent treats in the world.

Everything you need at a glance

While there are plenty of amazing chocolates to look at on La Maison Du Chocolat's website, finding the chocolate gift boxes is a breeze. You can find them easily on the "Chocolates” tab on the navigation bar. From there, the first item in the list is the chocolate gift boxes or "Chocolate Assortments” as they appear on the scrolling page. Each listing has a photo of the chocolates in their packaging, a brief description of the items (including any allergens), star ratings, and the price. You can basically see everything you need at a glance without even clicking on the individual listing. When you click through, you can see an expanded description of every chocolate in the box with photos to showcase which flavor is which.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

15 chocolate boxes and 24 flavors

There are 15 different chocolate gift boxes offered by La Maison Du Chocolat. They range from small tasting boxes like a 2pc Gesture Gift Box all the way up to a massive 144pc Coffret Maison Dark and Milk Chocolate box. Some of the chocolate flavors we saw across different pralines and ganaches include:

  • Almond hazelnut praline and Gianduja hazelnuts
  • Almond hazelnut praline with crushed hazelnuts and sea salt
  • Milk chocolate almond hazelnut praline
  • Milk chocolate praline with crepes
  • Almond paste with pistachio in dark chocolate
  • Caramelized mousse in milk chocolate
  • Dark chocolate with spices
  • Dark chocolate with lemon zest

There were a total of 8 praline flavors and 16 ganache flavors for a total of 24 different chocolates to try.

Pricing from $10 to $300

La Maison Du Chocolat offers a range of affordable and more premium chocolate gift boxes. It all depends on how many you need. The basic box is the Gesture Gift Box for $10. A more middle-range selection is a 24pc Coffret Maison Milk for $80. And, of course, the 144pc Coffret Maison Dark and Milk Chocolate is at the top of the price range at $300. La Maison Du Chocolat also offers some vegan options like the Fruit Naturally Gift Box for $60.

Shipping starts at $20.88

Shipping is a little costly at La Maison Du Chocolat. If you spend over $150 you can score free shipping, but if you don't quite meet the threshold, you may be paying quite a bit in shipping costs. For our area, we were quoted $20.88 for 2-day shipping through FedEx and $27.19 for overnight shipping. There were no options for shipping that were less costly at the time of our review. You may get different numbers depending on your location, however.

Hard to find mention of refunds

The policies for refunds are hidden in the legal section of the site under the General Terms of Sales for La Maison Du Chocolat. Returns are accepted only if there is a "prior written agreement” and only if you make the return no more than 48 hours after you receive the chocolate. If La Maison Du Chocolat accepts the return, you can get a free replacement or a refund. However, it seems like the cases for this to be accepted are rare. And if something goes wrong and your chocolates arrive melted? We didn't spot any kind of satisfaction guarantee here: there may be one, but it would be helpful if they spelled it out in some way.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

Mixed feedback depends on which location you visit

At the time of our review, La Maison Du Chocolat did not have a page on the Better Business Bureau or on third-party review sites like Trustpilot or Sitejabber. We did find reviews for this chocolatier on Yelp and Tripadvisor, but the feedback varied depending on which location customers visited. One retail location had a solid 4.1-star average through Yelp, whereas another had a 1-star average on Tripadvisor. In general, customers who loved La Maison Du Chocolat praised the thick and creamy quality of the chocolates; however, even fans noted that the prices are a little steep for what you get. Those who didn't like their La Maison Du Chocolat experience felt that the customer service needed an upgrade (both in person and online).

Too many complaints to be competitive

Due to the mixed reviews and the higher-than-average costs (including shipping), La Maison Du Chocolat comes in as a slightly below-average choice for our review. Despite the delights of French chocolate and the uniqueness of a chocolatier that can sculpt (which makes it worth a look for the art displayed on the site, no matter what you think about the cost), the chocolate gift boxes aren't the most exciting. We do love the range of flavors, but according to feedback, La Maison Du Chocolat's customer service could use a little work.

Godiva Review 2.5 Star Rating

Godiva

2.5 Star Rating
  • Pricing from $15 to $130
  • 43 listed packages to choose from
  • 18+ flavors
  • Chocolates, truffles, and cordials
  • Tray-style presentation
  • Costs start at $9.95 for shipping
  • 30-day reshipment policy
  • "A+” rating from the BBB

Godiva is a Belgian chocolate company that was founded in 1926. With almost 100 years of chocolate behind its creations, Godiva promises the same quality that it started with back when it opened. This chocolate shop has a rich history, including being appointed official chocolatier to the Royal Court of Belgium in 1968. Today, Godiva is one of the largest premium chocolate companies out there. Godiva is also a member of the World Cocoa Foundation and Cocoa Horizons Foundation, to give back to the cocoa industry and promote sustainable farming practices.

Nearly the entire site is gift boxes

There are tons of chocolate treats on Godiva, and you can find everything from chocolate gift boxes to chocolate recipes to greeting cards. Almost all of the chocolates are in gift boxes (rather than bars or chocolate barks as we saw at other sites). You can jump into searching the gift boxes anywhere on the site, but if you want to see a more narrowed selection, you can use the navigation menu to click on Shop, Collections, and then Chocolate Gift Boxes. From there, you'll see a scrolling window with opened chocolate boxes in high-resolution photos that present truffles and chocolate treats in Godiva trays. The listings show a name, a price, and the number of stars each box has from other shoppers. When you click on a specific box, you'll see a detailed description of the chocolates included in the box, measurements, and detailed shipping information for that box.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

43 boxes and 18+ flavors

At Godiva, there are 43 different chocolate gift boxes to choose from. These include assortments of chocolates with filling, truffles, and cordials. The boxes range in size from 9pc assortments to a 72pc gift box. Some of the unique flavors of truffles and chocolates we saw in the boxes include:

  • Ruby G: red cacao square with dark chocolate
  • Croconoir: chocolate ganache with dark chocolate
  • White Chocolate Heart: with hazelnut praline
  • Iconique: milk chocolate with hazelnut praline
  • Ergerie Noir: dark chocolate with raspberry ganache
  • Milk Chocolate Cube: with fruity spread and praline
  • Twilight Duet: milk chocolate filled with dark chocolate ganache
  • G-Macadamia: milk chocolate with hazelnut praline and caramelized macadamia

There are plenty more in the rest of the boxes with different truffles and chocolate flavors across the entire inventory. Some of the truffles even have cherry brandy or cinnamon and spices to make them more exciting. In the largest box, we saw 18 different flavors of chocolates to choose from.

Pricing from $15 to $130

The most affordable chocolate gift box at Godiva is the Dark Chocolate Cherry Cordials. This includes 6 of the same little round treats for $15. At the other end of the spectrum, the most costly gift box is the $130 Assorted Chocolate Gold Gift Box which includes a 72pc assortment of 18 flavors (4 of each flavor). Most of the boxes are identical in terms of flavors and sizing with only the color of the bows being different. Some of the bow colors (like red) were out of stock at the time of our review.

Shipping starts at $9.95.

The cost of shipping will change depending on how much you spend. For orders up to $24.99, the standard shipping cost will be $9.95 and 2-day delivery will be $18.95. If you order something between $25 to $59.99, shipping will cost $11.95 for standard and $21.95 for 2-day. For orders up to $99.99, standard shipping is $17.95 and 2-day is $27.95. Godiva also offers a Warm Weather Guarantee where the Godiva team monitors the package to make sure that your chocolates don't melt in transit.

Reshipments offered if something goes wrong

Godiva's satisfaction policy promises that your order is guaranteed to arrive in perfect condition. If you're not satisfied, you can contact their customer service team within 30 days of receiving your order for assistance with a replacement or exchange. Godiva promises to either replace your unsatisfactory item with the same item or another of equal or higher value. However, at this time, you cannot get a refund for an order through Godiva.

Dismal reviews for customer service

Godiva holds an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau; however, the reviews for this chocolatier are extremely concerning. On Trustpilot, Godiva shows an average rating of 1.5 stars out of 5. Most of the complaints have to do with the customer service experience. Customers noted that help with changing orders or resolving mistakes was not forthcoming. Complaints showcased regular problems with late delivery (even when next-day shipping was paid for), and many items were received damaged. Considering reshipment is the only option and many of these complaints were for chocolates ordered for particular holidays or events, the recourse offered by Godiva just isn't enough for most.

Don't expect a lot of customer care

Despite the long history of Godiva chocolate, getting your chocolate gift box from this retailer may not be the smoothest experience. While the low costs for shipping and a large selection of chocolate flavors may be appealing, the concerning reviews regarding Godiva's customer service and the total lack of any refunds make this site less reliable for your chocolate gift box needs. While it may be worth checking out for the classic box-of-chocolate flavors, you may find better service elsewhere.

Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. If you can imagine it, this one-stop shop has it. From confection tins to Lindt novelty characters to holiday snack boxes, there's so much to look at when you first hit the Simply Chocolate home page. You could spend hours looking at the Trending Gifts category alone. Unlike other chocolatiers in our review, Simply Chocolate is a site that curates chocolate gifts from a range of different chocolatiers. You'll find chocolate brands you love including Ghirardelli, Godiva, Chuao, Vosges, and Jacques Torres. Simply Chocolate also has its own line of products. With 50+ years of experience, Simply Chocolate makes sure to find unique flavor profiles and artisanal chocolates for a mixture of fresh cremes, caramels, and ganaches.

Tons of chocolates and treats to choose from

To find chocolate gift boxes, you'll want to jump right to the "Boxed Chocolate” tab. From there, you can see colorful photos of chocolate gift boxes with a range of both individually-wrapped chocolates and chocolates arranged in trays. Each listing shows a clear photo of the box and everything inside, the name of the listing, and the price. You can also see what products are "Passport Eligible”, which is Simply Chocolate's yearly membership that offers free shipping on any eligible item (and across the other brands in the 1-800-FLOWERS family). 67 boxes and tons of flavors

Simply Chocolate has 67 different results for chocolate gift boxes. These include those by Simply Chocolate, Neuhaus, Godiva, and more. There are so many different boxes from different manufacturers and chocolatiers that it's hard to say how many chocolate flavor options you'll find. Our research showed a collection of Belgian chocolates, terrapins, peanut butter cups, classic truffles, bars, and squares. Some of the standout flavors we saw from just one of the many chocolatiers (Norman Love) include:

  • Cookies ‘n' Cream
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Sea Salt Caramel Truffle
  • Key Lime Shell
  • New York Cheesecake
  • Tiramisu
  • Pistachio
  • Tahitian Caramel

Pricing from $24.99 to $199.99

The prices at Simply Chocolate are a mix of affordable chocolate gift boxes and high-end selections. The lowest cost boxes are $24.99 for the Greenport Unique Luxury Collection (4pc). This box includes Chocolate Coconut Toffee Macadamia, Dark Chocolate Almonds, Dark Chocolate Salted Cashews, and Maple Bourbon Pecans. The most costly chocolate gift box at Simply Chocolate is The Easthampton Gourmet Delights Collection for $199.99. This includes 5 oz of 12 different treats like Peanut Butter Caramels, Pure Dark Chocolate Blueberries, Premium Espresso Beans and more.

Shipping free with a membership

The cost of shipping isn't cheap at Simply Chocolate, and seeing your cart total change before you buy can be a bit shocking. We were quoted $24.98 for shipping in our area, and there were no other options for different shipping speeds. When tax was added on top of that, our $49.99 box of chocolates was updated to $79.84 in total. But, you can get free shipping at Simply Chocolate with the Passport membership we referenced earlier. This costs $19.99 the first year (still less costly than the price of shipping) and you'll get free shipping on every order. This applies to most items at Simply Chocolate, but not all, so make sure you check that the chocolate box you want qualifies before subscribing.

100% Smile Guarantee

Simply Chocolate offers a guarantee that your chocolates will arrive fresh and with perfect presentation. If you are not 100% satisfied, the company promises to "do what it takes to make it right.” This is the Simply Chocolate 100% Smile Guarantee. To get recourse for a problem in your order, you are invited to talk with Simply Chocolate through the online chat feature on the website. Make sure you have your order information ready when you start chatting.

Best Chocolate Gift Boxes

No buzz for Simply Chocolate

Regrettably, Simply Chocolate currently holds an "NR” rating from the Better Business Bureau (meaning it isn't rated at this time). We also couldn't find reviews for this all-in-one site on Trustpilot or Sitejabber. There was a UK site under the same name on Trustpilot, but this isn't related to the US Simply Chocolate. The few individual listings that do have reviews on Simply Chocolate's website are almost all uniformly 5 stars, so we're not sure how curated those reviews are. At the moment, Simply Chocolate falls behind the pack by not having any reliable third-party reviews to support its reputation. Of course, as part of the 1-800-FLOWERS group (that also includes big names like The Popcorn Factory and Harry & David), you know that this chocolatier is backed by a larger corporation - but we'd still prefer to see more buzz about how well Simply Chocolate itself is doing.

Simply... not our favorite

Simply Chocolate seems like a great option at first, but without more details on its reputation, it's hard to know if this company is doing a consistently great job on delivering chocolate gift boxes. It's true that there are lots of different chocolate brands to choose from here, which may appeal to those who want a variety or don't know exactly which chocolate assortment to grab. However, without a concrete customer service policy or third-party reviews, Simply Chocolate falls behind the pack.

Continued from above...

When we say chocolate is a classic sweet, we don't just mean in the last few decades. Chocolate has one of the most interesting stories out there. The discovery of chocolate (specifically cacao beans) can be traced back to Mesoamerican civilizations. The beans were so precious, they were once used as a form of currency.

Our word for chocolate comes from the Aztecs who called the bean "xocoatl”. Originally, chocolate was made into a drink, similar to the hot cocoa we drink today, but a lot spicier (try Mexican Hot Chocolate sometime, if you want a more authentic flavor). Supposedly the Aztec emperor Montezuma drank 50 cups of chocolate per day.

While you might not be as much of a chocolate superfan as the emperor, we can definitely see the appeal. Chocolate, as we know it (the chocolate bar and chocolate confections), started being made around 1847. There are tons of benefits to enjoying chocolate too. Cacao can lower your blood pressure, and dark chocolate has a range of health benefits including improved brain health, improved mood, and promotion of your good (HDL) cholesterol. Bottom line? You can enjoy your sweets without any guilt.

There's no limit to what you might find in a chocolate gift box online. If you're ready to get that delightful melt-in-your-mouth chocolate treat, but aren't sure which confectionary to choose, don't sweat it. We've put together some factors that can help you pick the best vendors for chocolate gift boxes:

  • Cost. When buying chocolate gift boxes online, you'll want to make sure you're getting the best deal for the price. How many chocolates are included in the box? Are the flavors unique enough to warrant the price? What is the quality of the chocolate? Keep in mind any costs for shipping too, as that might change your total during checkout.
  • Variety. Chocolate is such a versatile confection that you'll want to make sure the chocolate gift boxes you choose have a competitive variety of flavors, chocolate types (milk, dark, and white), and add-ins. Once you find a chocolatier you like, it's frustrating to need to find another spot to shop if your favorite flavors are missing. Looking for a one-stop chocolate shop can ensure that you know exactly where to shop every time.
  • Dietary restrictions. If you're on a special diet, there are tons of sites that cater to your needs. With the right chocolatier, you can find vegan, sugar-free, and gluten-free options. Make sure you check out the ingredients list for dietary changes and allergens.
  • Reputation. When searching for chocolate gift boxes online, it's smart to check trusted review platforms like Trustpilot or the Better Business Bureau. Feedback from other chocolate enthusiasts can help you find the best deals, best quality, and best customer service out there for your next chocolate purchase.

"Life is like a box of chocolates"... or it could be as soon as you grab these gift boxes for yourself, your friends, and family. To help you find the best chocolatier to satisfy your cravings, Top Consumer Reviews has researched and ranked the top chocolate gift boxes out there today. Now, crack open those sweets and pick one. Like they said in Forrest Gump, you never know what you're going to get!

Chocolate Gift Box FAQ

You'll find everything from classic milk and dark chocolates to truffles, caramels, pralines, and even exotic flavors like sea salt or chili-infused chocolate. Many sites offer curated gift boxes with a variety of options. A few chocolatiers let you build your own box to make the gift extra personal.
Yes, many chocolate delivery services cater to dietary needs like vegan, dairy-free, sugar-free, or gluten-free chocolates. Some chocolates also highlight ethically-sourced, organic, or fair trade ingredients for a more conscientious sweet treat. Always check the product details or use filters when searching for chocolates to make sure you get the sweets that fit your needs.
You can rely on your chocolates to be freshly made before they're shipped to you. Chocolate gift box services package the chocolates carefully to maintain the quality and flavor of your sweets. Some packages even include cooling packs to prevent your chocolates from melting during transit.
This depends on the service you purchase from and your location. Most chocolate gift box sites offer standard shipping from 3-5 days. You can also look for expedited shipping or next-day shipping from some vendors if you're in a hurry. Always check the estimated delivery dates during checkout so you can plan accordingly. If you're sending the chocolates as a gift, you can schedule ahead for your specific delivery date too.
Prices can vary widely depending on the type and size of the gift box. You can find small boxes for around $5, while more high-end assortments with premium chocolates can go for over $100. Many sites offer a range of chocolate gift boxes that suit multiple budgets, so you're sure to find something that fits what you're looking for.
Chocolate gift boxes are usually packaged in sturdy containers and sometimes wrapped in additional protective layers to keep your chocolates from breaking during shipping. With many chocolates situated in plastic trays that hold the sweets away from one another, you shouldn't need to worry about anything sticking or breaking before it gets to your door.
Most reliable chocolate gift box delivery services have a satisfaction guarantee or refund policy. In some cases, you will be eligible for a refund or reshipment of your order. The exact terms will depend on where you buy your chocolate from. You may need to take photos of your chocolates as proof in case of any concerns.
There are definitely chocolates out there free of allergens. Avoiding any sites that work with peanuts or nuts in their facilities will be a great start. Most reputable chocolatiers will list allergens on the site if there's anything to be worried about. Always read the ingredients closely before you purchase to ensure your safety.
