Feels like you're looking through an art gallery
If you're not immediately dazzled by the colorful, gemstone-like chocolates on Compartes's main page, you can find the chocolate gift boxes by following the "Gift” tab to "Chocolate Boxes”. From here you'll see a scrolling list of the different chocolate boxes. Complete with colorful photos (yep, those are chocolates, not makeup palettes), a title (including the number of chocolates in the box), and the price. Everything, from the packaging to the unique designs on the chocolates themselves, is artistically done. Once you pick a box and click through, you'll see further options for sizes (10, 20, 40, or 80pc on most orders), a full description, a list of ingredients, and storage instructions for your chocolates when they arrive.

There are 167 different chocolate gift boxes available at Compartes. The boxes include an array of chocolate treats including truffles, bars, chocolate-covered fruits, holiday-themed treats, caramels, and more. You can also find selections of fully vegan chocolate at Compartes, and some of these treats are decorated in 24-karat edible gold (Fellas, you might want to be taking notes for Valentine's Day).

Compartes offers a "No Melt Shipping Guarantee” that promises that you'll never get melted chocolates. Any shipments sent to warmer climates (we're looking at you, Florida) will be sent with ice packs to preserve your chocolates every step of the way. The guarantee includes UPS shipping, UPS 2-day shipping, and UPS next-day shipping. Now, the actual cost of shipping isn't the most affordable. If you pick standard (5-8 business days) shipping, the cost is $18.95. For 2-day shipping, the price will go up to $46.63, and for UPS next-day the cost is $63.06. A feast for your eyes
Coming in as the "most beautiful chocolates” in our review, Compartes is the chocolatier you definitely want to check out. If you want to send an extra special chocolate gift box to someone, Compartes is one of the most eye-catching choices you could make. This edible art is beautiful, exciting, and the most memorable treat on our list. And, the best part is that reviews say the flavor lives up to the pretty designs. For these reasons, and the fact that this luxury chocolate experience is more affordable than some other high-end selections, Compartes earns a full 5-star rating in our review and the top spot for chocolate gift boxes.
Whether you want a traditional chocolate, something like a holiday Ferrero Rocher, or a new confection with unique flavors like lavender or orange, there's a box of chocolates out there for you. With online ordering, you have access to far more assortments and flavors than you would at a local sweet shop, and you can easily send chocolates to your loved ones anywhere in the country (or the world).
If you choose to indulge in this cacao-based confection, you'll be in good company. Americans spend an estimated $22 billion on chocolate each year, and 90% of recent consumers said that chocolate is their favorite category of treat. Milk chocolate, unsurprisingly, is a popular favorite, especially in the US. Around the world, dark chocolate is generally preferred. Chocolate is something that brings people together. So, why not enjoy it?
When we say chocolate is a classic sweet, we don't just mean in the last few decades. Chocolate has one of the most interesting stories out there. The discovery of chocolate (specifically cacao beans) can be traced back to Mesoamerican civilizations. The beans were so precious, they were once used as a form of currency.
Our word for chocolate comes from the Aztecs who called the bean "xocoatl”. Originally, chocolate was made into a drink, similar to the hot cocoa we drink today, but a lot spicier (try Mexican Hot Chocolate sometime, if you want a more authentic flavor). Supposedly the Aztec emperor Montezuma drank 50 cups of chocolate per day.
While you might not be as much of a chocolate superfan as the emperor, we can definitely see the appeal. Chocolate, as we know it (the chocolate bar and chocolate confections), started being made around 1847. There are tons of benefits to enjoying chocolate too. Cacao can lower your blood pressure, and dark chocolate has a range of health benefits including improved brain health, improved mood, and promotion of your good (HDL) cholesterol. Bottom line? You can enjoy your sweets without any guilt.
There's no limit to what you might find in a chocolate gift box online. If you're ready to get that delightful melt-in-your-mouth chocolate treat, but aren't sure which confectionary to choose, don't sweat it.
