Whether you're in the market for a bracelet, anklet, earrings, or an engagement ring, Limoges Jewelry has a wide variety of designs and customization options. They were founded in 1895 and have been doing business online for the last 20 years. There are quite a few frustrating glitches on Limoges' website that slow down the time it takes to get from page to page. This is something that could be fixed, but for us it made the shopping experience less enjoyable.
Huge inventory of ring designs
When shopping for a class ring, you'll select whether you're looking for men or women's rings first. There are a staggering 485 options for women and 226 options for men. There is no shortage of design options at Limoges, so be prepared to do a lot of decision-making. To make things easier you can filter the results by fashion or traditional, metal, personalization type, color, birthstone, ring size, and the age of the recipient.
The least expensive class ring starts at $99 and the most expensive class ring starts at $2,299. Since there is such a wide range of prices here, most people should be able to find a ring that fits their budget. Unlike many other class ring companies, Limoges doesn't offer tons of metal, stone, and side design options. Most rings have the option for you to select the size, stone color, and text to be engraved on the inside and outside. There are minimal customization options, so the prices you see reflect what you'll likely pay in the end.
Look out for discount codes
At the time of this review, there was a discount code for 50% off plus free shipping on your order - a huge savings. The cost for shipping on orders less than $50 (which won't happen with class rings) is $4.99, orders $50 - $74.99 incur a $6.99 shipping cost, and you'll pay $7.99 for orders of $75 or more. These aren't bad shipping costs, but it's a perk if you can get it for free during one of Limoges' promotions. Each ring product page gives an estimated timeframe for how long it takes orders to ship. The majority of them take 4-8 weeks.
Potential quality issues
Limoges only has a "B" rating from the Better Business Bureau. This isn't terrible, but it's still much lower than the grades their competition receives. They don't have nearly as many customer reviews as other class ring stores we've seen either. There are some complaints that orders were never received, stones have fallen out of jewelry, and after spending a few hundred dollars on a ring, it turned some people's fingers green. It doesn't seem that you get a quality that reflects what you pay for here.
30 day return policy
Luckily they offer a 30-day return policy that says you can exchange your item or get a refund for any reason if you send it back within 30 days of receipt. They don't specify that customized products are ineligible for a refund, so we assume you can get your money back if you change your mind or are disappointed by the quality of your class ring.
Not our top shop
The most impressive thing about Limoges is their huge selection of class ring designs. They have more options than we've seen elsewhere. However, customization is very limited. Issues with their website not responding sometimes make it difficult to browse their inventory too. Until they gain more customer reviews that can vouch for their reliability, Limoges isn't our top shop for class rings.
It's a long-standing tradition for high school and college graduates to get a class ring to symbolize their achievement. It represents the hard work and dedication you put into getting an education, your alma mater, any extracurricular activities you participated in, and the people who changed your life along the way.
Class rings have never been so customizable. It used to be that there were only a couple of ring designs to choose from and they were usually sold by just one or two companies. Now you can compare pricing online among different retailers and browse a variety of band colors, stones, engraving options, and sizes that reflect your educational experience and personal style.
Once you see how many appealing class ring choices there are online, you'll want to start designing your own right away. Whether you're rewarding yourself with a class ring or giving it as a gift to a loved one, it will be a cherished possession for years to come.
