Amazing Clubs has been around since 2003. They say they offer the best prices among Coffee Clubs once you factor in shipping costs, and they claim you can save about 20% compared to their main competitor (though they don't name who that is). While their presentation might seem a bit ordinary, they seem to do a good job with customer service and consistently deliver quality products. They have a perfect "A+” from the Better Business Bureau to back it up.
100% Arabica beans
You'll get high-quality coffee from Amazing Clubs' Coffee of the Month Club, and they don't use artificial flavors or sweeteners. Instead, you'll receive 100% Arabica beans from specialty roasters worldwide. These coffees are made in small batches and must meet strict quality standards. You can choose whether you want whole beans or ground coffee, so you can enjoy fresh, gourmet coffee just the way you like it.
Not much information about roasters disclosed until you buy
While Amazing Clubs says their coffee is "premium” and meets "the highest standards of [their] gourmet professionals”, they make it hard to decide if you agree before you buy. They don't disclose who their growers or roasters are on their website, which is probably how they maintain some level of exclusivity. (Or maybe the illusion of it.) You won't know what future picks will be unless you're signed up for the club, but you can find a not-very-detailed list of previous shipments on their website. A recent selection of Coffee of the Month Club was "Indonesian Java Semeru” and "Honduran Lempira”, and the month before that was "Oceania Papua New Guinea” and "Ethiopian Yirgacheffe”.
Newsletter containing more info comes with each shipment
While the packaging your coffee beans come in is nondescript (and somewhat drab), it'll come with a copy of Amazing Club's newsletter for their coffee club, called The Daily Grind. Here you'll be able to read more about the origin of your coffee, how to get the best brew, and even coffee fun facts. We assume this is where you can find out more about ethical sourcing, too.
$18.47 per 12 oz bag
You can order ahead for 3, 6, or 12 months, join their seasonal coffee club, or choose monthly or bi-monthly deliveries. Two bags each month cost $36.95 - that's $18.47 per bag. Here's a breakdown of their tiers:
If you live in the continental US, shipping is always free. They do not deliver to customers outside of the USA, even if you were willing to foot the shipping bill.
They'll do whatever they can to make you happy
Amazing Clubs does well when it comes to consistent value. Each bag of coffee is always 12 oz - none of this "It's 10 oz this time. Whoops! Didn't you read the fine print?” nonsense you may get from one other company in particular. On top of that, EVERY bag of coffee comes with a "They'll Love It!” Guarantee, not just your first. That means if you're unhappy with their service or your monthly selection for any reason, Amazing Clubs will do whatever they can to fix it.
Customer experiences are overwhelmingly positive
Amazing Clubs offers a huge variety of subscriptions beyond coffee, so looking into their reputation via third-party sources can bring up results that are less relevant to you if you're considering their coffee club. Luckily, you can read over 600 customer reviews of their coffee club right on their website. They can't be sorted or filtered, but we still found a handful of negative reviews. (We always look for these because if a site that hosts its own reviews only shares positive reviews, it's likely the whole story isn't being told.) The most common complaint we found here was that decaf coffee isn't offered, which Amazing Clubs is clear about in their FAQ, so it was a mistake on the part of the customer. We also double-checked Amazing Clubs' reputation with Trustpilot, and they have an "Excellent” rating there with a near-perfect rating average of 4.9 stars.
Good score for reliability
Given their reliability, quality, and customer-focused approach, we recommend Amazing Clubs' Coffee of the Month Club for coffee lovers who enjoy exploring new flavors and don't mind a bit of surprise in their monthly selections. However, if you're looking for decaf options or need to know exact roaster details before purchasing, you might want to explore other coffee subscriptions.
For centuries, coffee has been more than just a vehicle for your caffeine fix - it's been a catalyst for connection, creativity, and culture around the world. From elegant cafes in Paris to quiet mountain villages in Colombia, this beloved beverage has brought people together and fueled countless conversations, ideas, and dreams.
But for many of us, our daily cup has become routine instead of a moment to savor. If you find yourself stuck in a coffee rut, reaching for the same familiar-but-”meh” blend day after day, it might be time to shake things up with a coffee club subscription. Coffee clubs are perfect for coffee drinkers who want to explore flavors (and freshness) beyond what's available at their local grocery store.
Coffee clubs are also great for busy professionals who don't have time to hunt down specialty beans or for those who simply want the convenience of having freshly roasted coffee delivered right to their doorstep. Coffee clubs take the guesswork out of choosing new coffees - you get to benefit from expert curators' knowledge about tasting notes and brewing tips for the perfect morning cup of joe.
Coffee clubs range from specialized to generic. Some take pride in sourcing single-origin beans from a particular country, like Costa Rica. Others act as a middle-man for US-based independent roasters, helping you discover a new business or award-winning coffee every month. However, some are a bit one-note and lacking in customization options or variety.
The frequency of deliveries can vary too. Some clubs ship weekly, so you'll never run out of fresh beans. Others operate on a monthly basis, which might be better if you don't go through coffee as quickly. You'll also find differences in customization options - some clubs let you choose every coffee you receive, while others surprise you with new selections based on your taste preferences. Most coffee clubs have a quiz to help you figure out what those preferences are.
