While the site does tell us what size the model is wearing in the photos, it doesn't give any measurements for the model to judge how a size small will fit someone of a similar build. We might suggest adding more detail to that section. Further, adding reviews for individual leotards might be helpful so customers can chip in with their sizing and fit feedback.

There are 202 products available for leotards, and about 80% are more suitable for performances than class.

Missing major brands

You also may find that many popular brands aren't available at Just For Kix. The only brands offered are Alexandra Collection, Body Wrappers, Capezio, Dance Basix, Danshuz, Just For Kix's in-house brand, and Plume. Brands like Bloch, Nikolay, and others are notably missing. Weirdly, we did see one WearMoi leotard on the roster, but it wasn't credited to WearMoi. It was very clearly a popular WearMoi cap-sleeve leotard, but there was no branding on the listing at all.

Clean site, but more fitness-focused

For a company with "dance” implied in the name, the landing page of Danskin feels more like a fitness website than a dancewear store. The website is sleek and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and find the perfect piece for your needs, but the abundance of yoga outfits and photos might be misleading to someone who's never shopped with Danskin before. To find the dancewear, you'll need to navigate to the dance tab. Here, you can limit your options by color, size, and style. The details on the listings are a little slim as well, with no size chart to help you decide on the best fit.

Extremely limited inventory

When shopping at Danskin, customers can expect to find a selection of basic dancewear that can be mixed and matched to create a variety of class-appropriate outfits. Unlike some other retailers, Danskin does not offer a wide range of patterns or bold colors. Concerns from the BBB

With over 200 colors and 7 stretch fabrics to choose from, BDancewear offers a unique range of options for dancers of all ages and styles. However, the quality may be lacking at this retailer compared to other more professional sites.

Cluttered site and odd photo choices

When we saw "inclusivity matters” on BDancewear's front page, we were pretty excited to start exploring. The company offers a wide range of sizes for all body types from XS to 6XL; however, our research showed that larger sizes came at an additional cost. Our enthusiasm was further tempered by the website's cluttered design and overlapping text and images. This chaotic layout detracts from the overall user experience and makes it difficult to navigate the site. When browsing through BDancewear's collection, customers are often presented with photos that look like the dancewear is poorly fitted. There are wrinkles and pulls in unfortunate places, and the photos don't depict the dancewear as very flattering.

You'll find a lot of tops, briefs, shorts, skirts, pants, shrugs, gloves, leotards, biketards, unitards, and more. The company offers some options for boys and men with a dedicated category for their dancewear needs, but it is missing essentials like men's unitards or shoes. Within each category, customers can find many different styles, colors, and sizes. There are around 472 women's items for sale at BDancewear.

Custom-ish apparel

BDancewear's products appear to be available for immediate purchase, but customers should be aware that all items are made-to-order. This means that manufacturing time can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks. Unfortunately, the website does not provide real-time stock updates or indicate when products are out of stock. Customers will need to wait patiently for their orders to arrive. This also means that the colors are all custom. So, any leotard on the site can be made in black fabric for class dress codes.

Sadly, BDancewear had an extremely limited selection of menswear and unitards were not included. The site also didn't offer any warm-ups.
