The TOPS divorce kit includes a CD and legal divorce forms to help prepare and file for your own divorce. This do-it-yourself option is designed to help safeguard assets, divide debt, and establish child support, custody and alimony.
Shoppers will not find the easy, step-by-step process that we found with higher ranked divorce form packages. TOPS does include State required forms in CD format. The website also states that they offer a digital format, but we weren't able to find any other details on how to download it, nor any hardware requirements that may exist. A digital option would save shoppers significant time in waiting for shipment and delivery of the physical divorce forms. For those that have made the difficult decision to file for divorce, waiting on receipt seems so antiquated compared with other more efficient choices available.
TOPS provides the option to save some money if you buy 6 or more divorce kits, although we aren't sure why an individual would want to buy that many. Also, the only shipping method available is UPS ground, which cost a staggering $10.50. We also couldn't find any customer reviews on this product, which left us feeling uneasy.
With very few product details, an inefficient and outdated approach, and expensive shipping, this product rated low on our list of divorce form options. TOPS is selling many DIY legal forms in a similar method that they sell binders and labels. However, we feel there are better options for people who are going through a very emotional and stressful situation.
