Veehoo has an assortment of products for both dogs and cats, with a focus on pet beds. Their brand is located throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, and Europe. The company doesn't provide information about their history like where they originated, where they're based out of, or when the company got started. Rather what you'll find here is a simple, straightforward website with an assortment of beds for cats and dogs and a blog that was updated over a year ago.

Not our favorite browsing experience

When we were looking at all the dog beds from Veehoo, we found a total of 43 results. This also included items like dog car seats and elevated bed replacement covers. Quite a few dog beds were out of stock, so the real options for dog beds were fewer than it initially appeared. You can shop specifically for elevated beds, orthopedic beds, inflatable beds, bed mats, or calming beds, but this is the only filter you can use to narrow down your selection. We wish you could at least sort by size or color so that you didn't have to click on each product to see what options are available.

Lacking detail

We feel like information about the different dog beds from Veehoo is lacking. For example, we were viewing an oval orthopedic pet bed and the specifications simply had a one sentence description of what the bed was like. Thankfully there are sizing measurements in the photos, but you won't necessarily know what materials the dog bed is made of, how to care for it, and other important details.

Practical dog beds

Most of the colors that the dog beds come in here are beige, black, silver, brown, or gray. If you're in the market for bright, unique, fanciful dog beds, Veehoo is not your place. We would describe all the dog beds here as very practical and neutral. They won't be very eye-catching, but they appear to be comfortable enough.

Cheap options

The least expensive option that was in-stock from Veehoo was a fuzzy pink calming pet bed. Even though we were looking specifically for dog beds, this one featured a picture of a cat (though we realize most pet beds work for both). For $19.99 it came in 8 colors and the sizes ranged from small to xx-large. The most expensive bed was still cheap at just $89.99 for a soft, giant, inflatable mat for humans and pets. The full inventory at Veehoo is one of the cheapest overall that we've found so far. Plus, they offer 10% off of your first order, so that saves you even more.

Free shipping with order minimums

Shipping is free throughout the United States if you spend over $79.99 from Veehoo. This is great, but considering the low prices of the pet beds you might be buying, there's a good chance you won't hit the $79.99 mark. If this is the case, you'll pay $5.99 if your order is under $49.99 and pay $3.99 if you spend between $49.99 and $79.98. Delivery time for all orders is 2-5 days.

Muddled 30-day return policy

If you're not satisfied with your dog bed from Veehoo, the company asks that you email them within 30 days of delivery. In order to qualify for a refund, one of the following conditions must be met: the product is flawed or malfunctions, the wrong item was sent, items are missing from your order, or you accidentally bought the wrong color or size. For items that you accidentally purchased in the wrong size or color, you'll need to reach out to the company within 48 hours and present photo proof. So in reality, this 30-day window isn't very flexible. Plus, further down their returns page it mentions that customers need to contact the company within 14 days for any returns, so the timing of everything for returns is a little unclear.

Possibly unreliable product reviews

Not all Veehoo dog beds have customer ratings. What we found weird is that all beds with ratings show that they have a 4.5 out of 50-star rating. When we read through the comments on these reviews, some customers said that their dog bed was low-quality or didn't last long because it was easily torn up, yet there was a 5 out of 5 star rating attached to the comment. This makes us think that the reviews here, although unfiltered in the comment section, are attached to unreliable star ratings. Be leery of this and read through what people have to say, rather than the rating the product appears to have.

Well-liked for the price

For the most part, Veehoo is well-liked by customers. They don't have our favorite website to shop at, a huge unique selection, or straightforward customer reviews, but their dog beds do receive high praise. People like the ease of assembly and appearance for the most part, which is great considering their low prices. The Better Business Bureau doesn't have a rating for the company, so we recommend paying close attention to what buyers say instead.

An okay option

If you're just looking for a cheap, basic dog bed, give Veehoo a shot. You can't go wrong if you're spending well under $100 on any given bed, so as long as you like the size and color of the dog bed, you'll probably be making a safe purchase. We would like to see more details about each product from the company and a website with some better features, but for now we are okay with what we see here and have given Veehoo an average rating.

Where is the Best Place to Shop for a Dog Bed?

We humans like having a soft, safe space to lay our heads whenever we crave some much-needed rest, so it makes sense that a dog would enjoy this too. Whether you co-sleep with your furry friend or not, dog beds are useful to have around the house as a home base for your dog - somewhere for him to hoard his toys, take a little nap, or just relax when you're out and about during the day.

Your dog might do well sleeping away from you in another part of the house, or maybe you'll want to have a dog bed in your room so they know you're close by. Not everyone wants their dog in their bed during the night, since it can lessen sleep quality overall and cause a distraction for both of you. Giving your dog his own space close to you is a good way to improve rest at night and feel the comfort of having each other close.

Dog Bed Store FAQ

Just like people, dogs need a comfy bed to sleep on. On average, dogs sleep anywhere from 12 to 18 hours every day, depending on their age and breed type. When your dog has a bed, they have their own safe space that allows them to relax in a spot that is devoted to them and that helps protect their joints and bones for years to come.
Of course, dog beds range in all shapes, sizes, and types. Dog beds are made to fit any size from tiny to massive. Giant dog breeds especially need supportive beds to protect their knees and elbows from hygromas.
Many dogs are chewers - especially at a young age. Look for dog beds that are called "chew proof” or "chew resistant”. While no company can guarantee complete chew protection, many manufacturers make some sturdy options.
Although you generally can't customize a dog bed, you can find an option that fulfills your pet's needs. Many sites allow for you to find a product based on the type of bed fill, bed shape, material, color, life stage, bed type, breed sizes, and more.
When it comes to picking a bed, you must consider how your pet prefers to sleep. A pooch that likes to sleep in a ball or tight circle will like round, pillow top nesting like beds. Whereas a dog that prefers to hide away and stay warm when they sleep is more likely to prefer a tent or cave bed. Along with bed types, knowing the type of bed cover is important. Younger dogs prefer more contouring loose filling pads. Older dogs tend to go for the solid pad since they would most likely have problems getting up and dogs that have health issues, such as joint pain or arthritis, would love to snooze on orthopedic mats.
Dog's beds that have been loved so much that are not pleasant to look at, smell funny, and/or are not sanitary for your pooch should be replaced. If you have a pup that likes to get their paws dirty, a bed that has a removable and washable cover is recommended.
On average you should wash your pups bed every 1 - 2 weeks, especially if you or a loved one has pet allergies. If your pet sheds a lot, or frequently is outdoor, you might want to wash the bedding more often to prevent your allergies from acting up, keep your pouch clean, and to prolong the lifespan of the dog bed.
Most companies offer a customer satisfaction guarantee, that includes a refund policy. If you have a finicky pup, be sure to shop from a customer friendly online company.

Continued from above...

Most people have at least one dog bed in their home, but for larger spaces or multi-story homes, you might even want to snag a couple to put around your main areas. But as simple and straightforward as finding a dog bed sounds, you'll quickly realize that there are a lot of choices when it comes to finding the right one. You'll discover all different sizes, materials, colors, and shapes. Take note of how big your dog is to make sure you find one that's cozy, but roomy enough for him to fit easily.

Will he want something really soft and fluffy? Or does he overheat at night? Would he sleep best with a pillow or blankets in the bed to snuggle with? Every dog's sleeping habits are different, so be sure to take yours into consideration when you jump online to shop for a dog bed.

There are many companies that sell dog beds online, but they aren't all created equal. Some companies have a lot more to offer than others, so we've done the research to help you find the ones that will provide the best selection and quality for the furry best friend in your life. Here are some major things to take into account when weighing your dog bed options:

  • Selection. Does the company have a lot of choices for dogs that are grown and those that are still puppies? You will likely be washing your dog bed more frequently if you have a puppy, so find a retailer that offers machine-washable, waterproof materials. For older dogs, you'll want a bigger size, possibly with more cushioning to support their aging joints. Your dog might prefer something fluffy or maybe something that's a little more firm and smooth. A good retailer will give you plenty of choices for all these factors.
  • Price. How much are you willing to spend on a dog bed? It's helpful when a company's website has filter features for you to adjust the price range you want to stick to so you see what you can comfortably afford. See if the company offers free shipping or if they often run sales that would allow you to save a bit on your dog bed.
  • Return policy. If you put your dog bed in your home and realize that it's the wrong size or the material doesn't feel at all as you expected, can you return it? How long do you have to send it back? Is there a store you can take it into or will you need to pay to send it back?
  • Reputation. What other customers say about a company is one of the biggest factors to take into consideration when shopping online. Are people satisfied with the timeliness of delivery, quality of the dog bed, and the attitude and helpfulness of customer service? Pay close attention to what people say on third-party sites, the rating the company receives from the Better Business Bureau, and what product reviews are like (if any).
