However, due to no small amount of negative customer feedback, we recommend you first consider a different drone manufacturer for your hobby or enterprise needs, before committing your dollars to Autel. • The Alpha Series and Dragonfish Series are tailored for applications that require high-resolution imaging and long flight times. The Alpha features 4K 35x optical zoom, an IP55 rating for ruggedness, and 56x dual thermal zoom, making it suitable for tasks that demand precision and durability. On the other hand, the Dragonfish Series has an impressive 158 minutes of flight time, 4K 50x optical zoom, and an 18.6-mile transmission range, coupled with quick assembly capabilities.
• For industries where obstacle avoidance and flight autonomy are important, Autel offers the EVO Max Series. These drones feature 720° obstacle avoidance, non-GPS return-to-home, and automatic rerouting around obstacles. They're designed to navigate complex environments safely and efficiently.

For the best quality of images from the camera sensor, the EVO II Pro V3 stands out for having the best camera quality. It features a 1" CMOS sensor, Moonlight Algorithm 2.0, and 16x digital zoom, offering high-resolution images and videos with excellent clarity and detail. Conversely, the EVO Nano Series offers the least for camera quality. While it still provides decent 2.7K/30FPS transmission quality and a 50MP photo capability, it doesn't match the high-resolution and advanced features in models like the EVO II Pro V3 or the Alpha series.

Impressive flight time and transmission ranges

If flight time and range are important to you, The Dragonfish series has an amazing 158 minutes of flight time over an 18.6-mile transmission range due to its extended 4.8-hour battery life. This makes it ideal for long-term photographic missions without changing the battery as often. Note that the 18.6 miles is the image transmission distance when the base station is used. Without a base station, the image transmission distance is 6.2 miles. The hobbyist EVO Nano Series will, at best, give you 6.2 miles of transmission range and a battery life of 2.5 hours when connected to a mobile phone and about 3.5 hours when not connected to a mobile phone.

Autel drones with obstacle avoidance abilities include the Alpha, EVO Max, EVO II Enterprise V3 and V2, EVO II Pro V3, EVO II DUAL 640T V3 and V2, EVO II RTK Series V2, EVO Lite Series, EVO Nano, EVO II Pro V2, and EVO II.
