Theraplex Eczema Therapy is an effective healing cream that can be used anywhere on the hands, body, or face. It is only $23.99 per jar (or less if you subscribe) and has 6 fl oz of cream. Dermatologists frequently recommend this brand of skincare to their patients, which isn't surprising after reading the positive reviews about how well the product works. On the Terrasil website

Terrasil Eczema and Psoriasis Ointment comes in a small 1 fl oz tube that is convenient for on-the-go use. It is HSA/FSA approved, which can make it even more affordable than the already low price of $14.95. This formula includes natural ingredients that are gentle on the skin and safe for both children and adults (though ages are not specified). It receives mostly high ratings from customers, but due to its small size and potential for not being able to tackle severe cases of eczema, it has just earned a better-than-average rating.

On the Eczema Honey website

Skin Soothing Cream is one of a few eczema products from the Eczema Honey brand. They use gentle, natural ingredients that are safe for all ages and are accepted by the National Eczema Association. However, the formula is a bit greasy and sticky, so it doesn't rub in all the way. Customers suggest using this skin soothing cream at night, and we recommend it for mild eczema, so that you don't have to continue paying so much for it. Overall, Eczema Honey Skin Soothing Cream is a really good option, but not the most convenient one.

On the DermaChange Eczema Cream website

DermaChange Eczema and Psoriasis Cream can be used for both children and adults up to 6 times per day as needed. It contains many natural ingredients that are intended to soothe and hydrate the skin. The formula is a bit pricey, coming in at $20.08 for a 4 fl oz jar or $35.98 for a 8 fl oz jar. The reviews for the Eczema and Psoriasis Cream are mixed up with ones for a shingles cream that is also made by DermaChange, so we weren't able to get solid insight about how well it generally works for people. We believe this could be a good option for some, but this DermaChange product isn't one of our top choices for eczema relief.

On the Eczema Relief Oil website

Eczema Relief Oil is made by the brand Kiyamel. They have a few products for eczema as well as haircare and other skin care formulas for adults and babies. Their Eczema Relief Oil combines a short list of natural ingredients that seem to absorb into skin well and are reported to be hydrating. However, this is a pricey eczema option since the oil comes in such a small bottle, and customers complain that it doesn't reduce flare-ups or seem to do much besides make skin feel hydrated. Instead of using Kiyamel's Eczema Relief Oil, we would recommend a higher-rated eczema product that will provide more anti-inflammatory effects.

On the Mother of All Creams website

Mother of All Creams would surely be a soothing, hydrating lotion for everyday use, but that's not good enough when it comes to relieving eczema symptoms. This cream is plant-based, comes in 2 different sizes, and is even accepted by the National Eczema Association. But, it isn't a very popular eczema product, and customers don't feel like it worked wonders for soothing flares and preventing new ones. There are much better products that we've discovered for helping eczema, so use one of these instead of Mother of All Creams.

What Are the Best Products for Eczema Relief?

Eczema is a chronic skin condition that affects nearly 10% of the US population. It's pretty easy to identify eczema on your own without need for a diagnosis from a doctor. If you're seeing patches of dry, itchy, inflamed skin on you or your child that flare up and subside over time, you're likely dealing with eczema. It can appear as a rash or scaly patches that can sometimes itch or even be painful.

Individuals of every age can experience eczema and it can be found on nearly any part of the body. It's especially common in babies and young children in areas behind the knees or the inside of elbows because these places are prone to rubbing, bending, and sweating. Adults and older children may see eczema on their neck, hands, feet, wrists, or ankles.

Regardless of where it pops up, it's usually something you want to tackle right away, since it can have an alarming appearance when it's agitated. Some say eczema is a sign of poor gut health while others say it can't go away completely, but just needs to be managed when environmental irritants cause it to flare.

Although it may appear otherwise, eczema is not contagious. With proper attention, it can go away, although it's likely that it will come back if you don't identify what triggers it. This can be tricky with so many factors that contribute to eczema, like stress, irritants, allergens, temperature changes, food sensitivities, skin infections, and possibly even a hereditary component.

Some children may outgrow eczema completely, but for the most part there is no cure for this condition. It may come and go throughout an individual's life, so it's important to find the right products to get on top of it at the first sight of an eczema flare. This not only helps reduce its appearance, but can also lessen or prevent the miserable itching, burning, throbbing, and stinging that is commonly associated with an outbreak. Because eczema is so common, there are quite a few over-the-counter products geared specifically for it.

We've explored popular solutions for eczema relief so you can easily identify the best choices. A few things we recommend taking into consideration as you're evaluating which eczema products to try first are:

The experts at Top Consumer Reviews have researched the best products to relieve the appearance and feeling of eczema for infants, children, and adults. Our goal is that you'll find a product that will provide instant relief, and with consistent use, could keep the eczema in remission.

Eczema Product FAQ

What is eczema?
Eczema is an itchy inflammation of the skin. The main symptom is a rash that is usually found on the arms or behind the knees, but it can appear anywhere on the body. The skin will usually feel dry and bumpy and may appear cracked.
What causes eczema?
Eczema is usually developed in early childhood and is most common with people who have a family history of the condition. There are certain triggers that can cause eczema to flare up like certain soaps, detergents, wool, dry skin, heat, or emotional stress. Allergens like dust mites, molds, pollen, or food can also be the reason that eczema appears. It is often hard to identify the exact reason that you or your child has eczema.
Is eczema a harmful condition?
If you have eczema, it will not cause any harm to the other areas of your body unless it's left alone and eventually causes a skin infection. The main reason this is a condition people want to get rid of is because it can be extremely uncomfortable. Itching may be intense and scratching only further irritates the skin and causes sores.
How can I get rid of eczema?
Experts usually recommend avoiding soap and other irritants if you're experiencing eczema. These can dry out the skin and make the problem worse. To fully heal from eczema, you may be offered prescription medicines from a doctor, but these could be expensive. Fortunately, there are many highly-rated, safely-developed options you can find online to find fast relief from your eczema.
Are eczema products safe?
Yes! The eczema products available online are developed specifically to nourish skin and heal eczema without causing any further damage or side effects. Some formulas are made with 100% natural ingredients derived from plant sources. You're more likely to find a treatment without harsh chemicals online than if you use a prescription from a doctor.
How much do eczema products cost?
Effective eczema treatments can cost as little as $10! Depending on how severe your case is and how many areas of eczema need to be treated, you may need to purchase a few bottles of an oil or cream, but you'll find that no matter the route you go, you won't pay much. Eczema is a condition that can be treated affordably and quickly.
How are eczema products applied?
Most eczema products come in the form of a cream, serum, or ointment. They are applied directly onto the skin, covering the affected areas. You might be recommended to use some products more than once per day for maximum results, but it takes as little as 1 or 2 minutes for a treatment.
What if I try an eczema product that doesn't work for me?
If you don't have success with the eczema product you use, check to see if it came with a money-back guarantee. Many companies stand by their products with an offer to get a refund if you weren't satisfied with your results. If not, you probably didn't lose too much money since eczema products are so affordable; try a new cream or ointment in hopes that it works better.
