On the Home Depot website

Home Depot is our top-rated faucet store for good reason: it offers nearly 23,000 outdoor, kitchen, and bathroom faucets (plus replacement parts), with a wide range of trusted brands, finishes, and features to match any need or budget. You can shop online hassle-free, thanks to helpful filters, free delivery on orders over $45, and the option for same-day in-store pickup. Their return policy is one of the most generous around - 90 days for most purchases, or a full year if you use a Home Depot credit card - and customer service is easy to reach 24/7. Whether you want high-end style or budget-friendly basics, Home Depot makes shopping easy and reliable as the #1 faucet store on our list.

Lowe's might not be a faucet-only retailer, but with over 7,400 options, it holds its own - offering everything from $27 basics to luxury models topping $3,500. It's easy to shop with helpful filters, local pickup options, and shipping perks like free delivery on $45+ orders (or $35+ for Rewards members). Popular models come with hundreds (or thousands) of reviews and quick fulfillment, and installation services are even available in some areas. Customer service is terrific, with 7-days-a-week availability and a generous 90-day return policy for unused items. Lowe's might not have the absolute largest faucet inventory on our list, but its mix of value, convenience, and variety makes it a standout choice - especially when you're on a tight timeline or already shopping for other home improvement needs.

3.5

On the Ace Hardware website

Ace Hardware offers a modest but reliable selection of faucets and repair parts online, with over 2,700 items available. It's best for straightforward replacements or quick fixes, especially if you live near a store for easy pickup or next-day delivery. Moen faucets are the standout here, with thousands of positive reviews, though most other products lack customer feedback. Shipping costs vary, but orders over $50 qualify for free local delivery if you're a Rewards member. While the selection isn't as broad as other retailers we evaluated, Ace's 100+ year history and overall convenience earn it a better-than-average rating from us.

3.0

On the Walmart website

Walmart is a decent place to shop for faucets if you need to prioritize price and convenience over expertise. With over 20,000 results, including familiar brands like Moen and Delta, there's no shortage of options - but it can be a bit overwhelming to sift through, especially without any faucet-specific guidance. You'll want to use filters to narrow your search and double-check whether an item is sold by Walmart or a third-party seller, since that affects shipping and return policies. Walmart offers flexible delivery options, from store pickup to next-day shipping, and customer reviews can sometimes help you separate the winners from the duds. Overall, Walmart provides a practical, low-budget option for faucet shopping, but not the best choice if you're after premium fixtures or expert help.

On the Ferguson Home website

Ferguson Home gives you just about every faucet option imaginable - from budget-friendly basics to luxury designs priced in the five figures - all backed by detailed specs and a sleek shopping experience. You'll appreciate the free shipping on orders over $49 and the generous 90-day return policy, but some buyers have reported unexpected fees and delays, especially when items turn out to be backordered or arrive with missing parts. While Ferguson Home's "A+" BBB rating might give you confidence, that's sharply contrasted by hundreds of negative Trustpilot reviews describing poor service and fulfillment issues. If you're lucky, you'll get the professional-level faucet you wanted with no hiccups - but don't be surprised if your experience doesn't quite match the polished promise. We recommend looking at Ferguson Home's higher-ranked rivals first.

SUBPAR

2.0

On the Faucet Depot website

Faucet Depot offers a large selection of faucets and other household fixtures, but the shopping experience and lacking customer trust make it short. The site doesn't let you sort by price, making it frustrating to browse, and recent reviews raise serious concerns about credit card fraud, shipping delays, and poor customer service. While they do offer free shipping on orders over $199 and a 30-day return window without restocking fees, the outdated website, broken review links, and inactive social media make it hard to recommend. With so many better options out there, Faucet Depot is best left as a last resort.

1.5

On the AJ Madison website

AJ Madison offers over 800 faucets from brands like Moen and Rohl, but shopping here comes with more frustration than benefit. You'll only get free shipping on orders over $1,299, returns come with a steep 35% restocking fee, and their price match policy is vague at best. While AJ Madison has an "A+" BBB rating, hundreds of complaints and poor customer experiences - mostly about shipping issues and unhelpful service - tell a different story. Despite this appliance specialist's surprisingly wide selection of faucets, you'll get better pricing, support, and return policies elsewhere.

POOR

1.0

On the Brook Evans website

Brook Evans might sell faucets, but that's about the only thing working in its favor. The site is a confusing mix of unrelated products, and fewer than 120 of the 700+ "faucet" search results are actual faucets. You won't find any brand names or warranty coverage here, and the return policy gives you just 14 days from the order date - not when it arrives. Customer support is limited, and there's no company background or trustworthy reviews anywhere online. Even with free shipping included in every price, Brook Evans just isn't worth the risk as a faucet store.

Which Faucet Store is the Best?

You might not spend a lot of time thinking about your faucets - but you should. Whether you're cooking, cleaning, getting ready in the morning, or winding down at night, the faucet is one of the most frequently used fixtures in your home.

Right now, faucets are getting smarter and better-looking. In kitchens, touchless and voice-activated models are in high demand - and not just for germ control. When your hands are covered in cookie dough or chicken juice, it's a game-changer to be able to activate your faucet without twisting a handle. Smart home integration is popping up more and more in bathrooms too, along with temperature memory and water-saving presets that help manage consumption and energy use. You'll also find more low-profile or minimalist silhouettes, often with hidden pull-down sprayers or motion sensors that blend in with the design.

When it comes to finishes, matte black continues to dominate, with brushed gold and champagne bronze close behind. These warm metals look high-end without feeling flashy, and they tend to hide fingerprints and water spots better than classic chrome. If you like variety, modular or customizable options let you swap out handles, switch sprayer types, or add filtration accessories without replacing the whole fixture. For those trying to make greener choices, many new faucets come equipped with aerators or low-flow tech to cut back on water use without sacrificing pressure - a small change with a big impact over time.

The beauty of shopping for faucets online is that you can take your time figuring out which of these features matter most to you. Some retailers even offer interactive tools that let you visualize the faucet in a virtual kitchen or bathroom, helping you see how it'll look before you commit. And since most major faucet brands sell directly through large e-commerce platforms, you're still getting the same warranties and support you'd expect from an in-store purchase.

With the right information and a few key considerations, you can confidently pick a faucet that works as beautifully as it looks. Not sure where to shop? Here are some criteria that can help you choose:

  • Selection. First and foremost, does the faucet store carry a broad enough variety of styles, or do you feel pushed into buying something not quite right because of a smaller-than-usual inventory?
  • Cost. Can you get the faucet you want at the price you've got budgeted? Don't forget to factor in any shipping fees.
  • Ease of shopping. Make sure the faucet store offers clear product specs and accurate photos, at a minimum. Are there filters that can help you narrow the choices down quickly?
  • Return/refund policy. Even the most careful shoppers might need to send back orders. What are the requirements the faucet store has in place for making returns and getting your money back?
  • Reputation/reviews. Look for feedback on individual faucets and on the retailer as a whole. Do customers say the store has support on standby if you need help picking the right faucet or installing it? Does the company live up to its promises?

Want a faucet that makes your space feel fresh, modern, and easy to use? Start your search with the information provided by the experts here at Top Consumer Reviews, where we've ranked some of today's most popular faucet retailers from best to worst - and made it easy-breezy for you to find the one that fits your home best.

Faucet Store FAQ

Do I need to have my faucet professionally installed?
Not necessarily. If you're pretty comfortable with tools and DIY projects, a faucet installation should be a breeze. Many faucet manufacturers offer step-by-step instructions or even video how-tos to guide you through the process. (Just remember to shut off the water before you get started!) If you get stuck, you can probably call the store where you bought the faucet or the manufacturer to get extra help. And, of course, don't be afraid to call a plumber or handyman if you need to.
My faucet doesn't seem to be letting the water flow freely. What's the problem?
Chances are good that it's the aerator, and that you've got mineral deposits restricting the flow. You can remove the aerator, soak it overnight in vinegar, and flush it out with water the next day before reinstalling it.
When do I need to flush my faucet?
When you've had a new faucet installed, you might see debris for a few days. This can also happen if you've had the water turned off for a while (for repairs, work on your home in general, and so on). Either way, you should flush your faucet by removing the aerator and sealing gasket, turning the water all the way on with a mix of hot and cold water, and letting the water run for at least two minutes. Replace the gasket and aerator and you're good to go!
How do I keep my faucet looking like new?
Start by keeping your faucet dry after use: leaving it wet may lead to mineral deposits on the surface. You should also avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the faucet's finish. If you do wind up with hard water stains, a 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar will usually do the trick.
Why should I buy a faucet online?
That's easy: because you want the best selection at the best prices! Even shopping at the biggest home improvement store near you, you won't find the thousands of options you'll discover when buying faucets online. Most sites offering faucets make it easy to get help from their team of experts, if you have any questions prior to your purchase - or even after it arrives, if you need guidance for the installation.
Will shipping be expensive?
Good news: most online faucet stores offer free shipping. You may need to place a certain minimum order amount to qualify, but most faucet purchases will easily meet that threshold.
Can I order faucet parts instead of an entire faucet assembly?
Most of the time, yes. Start by checking with the store where you originally bought your faucet; they may have them in stock and available for immediate shipment. You can also contact the manufacturer directly: some brands offer lifetime replacement components at no charge!
What if I get my faucet and I don't like it - or it doesn't fit? Can I return it?
Refund and return policies vary by retailer. Most will require the faucet to be in like-new, uninstalled condition with all of the original packaging in order to be eligible for a full refund. You may also be charged a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price. If you're buying the faucet that has a brick-and-mortar location near you, you may be able to return it in person.
