BloomsyBox is one of the most environmentally-friendly flower clubs around, believing that "discovering the joy and beauty of our natural world should not come at a cost to our planet”. The company works hard to invest in farms that protect their land and communities, sourcing blooms from Rainforest Alliance-certified providers whenever possible and providing benefits like healthcare and transportation to workers on those farms.

Largest variety of flower clubs on our list

Since our last evaluation, BloomsyBox has really taken it up a notch with its options for flower subscriptions, all of which include shipping as part of the cost. Here's everything you'll have to choose from now:

  • Bloomsy Original ($59.99/month): 20 seasonal stems per bouquet
  • Bloomsy Deluxe ($69.99/month): 24 seasonal stems per bouquet
  • Bloomsy Premium ($79.99/month): 27 seasonal stems per bouquet
  • Bloomsy Weekly ($69.99/week): 24 seasonal stems per bouquet
  • Bloomsy Bi-Weekly ($69.99 every other week): 24 seasonal stems per bouquet
  • NYBG ($99.99/month): 30 stems per bouquet, hand-crafted arrangements inspired by The New York Botanical Garden. A percentage of each purchase is donated to NYBG.
  • Tropical ($69.99/month): no specific number of stems, typically includes varieties like heliconia, mini bananas, ginger, and more. This subscription is described as "Summer vacation, unlocked”.
  • Plant ($69.99/month): if you love flowers but hate the idea of a dead bouquet of them, try the houseplant subscription, complete with a decorative pot.
  • Bloomsy Roses ($69.99/month): nothing but roses (usually 18 stems)
  • Pet-Safe ($69.99/month): 24 stems guaranteed to be 100% non-toxic for all of your furry friends.

No matter which club you prefer, you can set up your subscription as an ongoing membership, or choose a length of 3, 6, or 12 months.

Not hard to set up as a gift

How about if you want to give a BloomsyBox flower subscription as a gift? Just indicate that during the checkout process, add a gift note if you like, and indicate whether or not you want it to auto-renew when the initial subscription is done. The plan will be in your customer portal: you can manage delivery dates and see shipment notifications, but your recipient will have to email the company to make any adjustments. There aren't quite as many little extras here (like a newsletter or plant food to keep your blooms fresh for longer) but that's not such a big deal overall.

Ample five-star ratings from satisfied clients

BloomsyBox has a pretty strong reputation, starting with an "A+” rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, with fewer than a dozen complaints filed there. And, when we jumped over to Trustpilot, we were glad to see that over 60% of BloomsyBox's ratings were a perfect five stars. People praised the easy customizability of the subscription boxes, excellent service and delivery, and many years of just-right bouquets delivered to moms, girlfriends, you name it.

Best Flower Clubs

Certain times of year are prone to botched deliveries

But, all is not rosy (ha... ha ha...) with BloomsyBox - especially around Mother's Day. At least when we looked at feedback from that time period most recently, there seemed to be an onslaught of disappointed customers: flowers arrived with no water and totally dried out, stems were broken, and people got cranky responses from BloomsyBox reps. On the whole, most bouquets arrive in great condition and give this florist rave reviews - but over 25% of ratings on Trustpilot alone were a not-so-great 1 or 2 stars. And without a clearly defined satisfaction guarantee - just a vague "contact us within 3 days if something happens and we'll fix it” statement - BloomsyBox could go a little further to reassure people that those negative reviews aren't worth worrying about.

Still gets our recommendation

Despite the negative reviews, there's a ton to love about BloomsyBox. We're 100% behind them on their sustainability and ethical practices, and they offer more flower club options than any other florist we've seen. Best advice? Don't start your BloomsyBox subscription in May. Other than that, you're probably going to love any one of the 10 flower clubs on offer here (and we particularly love that there's a pet-safe arrangement too).

Which Monthly Flower Club is the Best?

Whether you wish to brighten up your living space, adorn your office with nature's beauty, or surprise someone special with a heartfelt gift, flowers are a great way to go. But, we all know how annoying it can be having to call the florist, describe what you want, and just hope that what gets delivered matches our expectations, right?

Imagine the joy of receiving fresh, fragrant bouquets regularly, without the hassle of placing individual orders. From adding a touch of elegance to expressing love and appreciation, flower clubs offer a delightful way to enjoy nature's most beautiful creations - on the regular. With plans ranging from three months to a year, and delivery frequencies tailored to your liking, the subscription is usually quite customizable.

Flower Club FAQ

A flower club is a subscription-based service that provides a gorgeous, fresh bouquet of cut flowers on a monthly basis. You can subscribe for just a few months or for an entire year, and you can even decide if you want them every month, every other month, or quarterly. Flower club memberships are an affordable, easy way to bring some beauty and color to your home or office - no need to go to the store or florist!
Most flower clubs take great pride in the incredible selection of flowers used in each bouquet. Forget carnations and daisies (though you could get a few of those from time to time): you might receive exotic orchids, Birds of Paradise, lilies from around the world, and so much more. Many club providers have active social media accounts where you can see customer photos of the lovely bouquets they've gotten, if you'd like to get a feel for a particular flower club's offerings.
Your local flower shop probably doesn't have access to the quantity of blooms available through a flower subscription. Plus, a regular delivery of flowers eliminates the need to phone in an order or stop by: you'll know that, like clockwork, your bouquet will arrive safely on your doorstep.
You'll be surprised how affordable they are: some of the most well-loved flower clubs start at just $35 per month! That's definitely competitive with the price you'd pay for a premium bouquet at a supermarket or florist.
That depends on the flower club provider you select. Some include the delivery costs in the subscription price, while others have shipping fees of approximately $15 per month (above and beyond the membership cost).
That also varies by flower club. If you'll need a vase, some clubs include one with the first bouquet while others require you to pay an additional fee. Many providers send an informative, fun newsletter with each bouquet, not only with care instructions for helping your blooms last as long as possible but also with details about the origin of the specific flowers in the arrangement. A few flower clubs offer add-ons like chocolate or balloons too.
Usually, yes. If anything goes wrong with your bouquet - the flowers arrive wilted, they don't last longer than a day or two, or some other issue occurs - you can usually get a replacement order sent right away. If you prefer a refund, a few flower clubs will gladly do that as well.
Absolutely! Flower club memberships make great gifts, and you'll find a nice array of gift-giving options with most providers. That could include a hand-written note with the message you specify, an email announcement on the date you indicate, or even the ability to send the flowers anonymously!

Continued from above...

First and foremost, flower club subscriptions introduce an element of surprise and anticipation. They are a regular, tangible expression of thoughtfulness and affection that brightens our lives. The arrival of a fresh bouquet each month or week can infuse joy and excitement into the mundane routines of daily life. This regularity fosters a sense of appreciation, ensuring that the recipient experiences a constant reminder of love and care.

One of the key advantages of flower club subscriptions is their power to nurture our emotional well-being. Studies have shown that the presence of flowers can improve mood and reduce stress. The vibrant colors and enchanting scents of fresh blooms have a soothing effect on our senses. This helps to alleviate anxiety and promote relaxation. The act of arranging the flowers themselves can be therapeutic, encouraging a meditative state and boosting emotional resilience.

Even better, many flower clubs source their blooms directly from growers, ensuring you get the freshest and most vibrant flowers available. You're not stuck with whatever your nearby flower shop has access to at the moment, because a flower club schedules each delivery well in advance, usually providing an in-depth description of every beautiful bloom you'll see in your arrangement. Plus, the cost of a flower club membership is often much more budget-friendly than ordering individual bouquets.

Are you finding it challenging to pick the perfect flower club among the many choices? There are some really fantastic options out there. Here are some things you can consider to make your decision a little easier:

  • Flower selection. Some flower clubs allow you to pick specific types of blooms, catering to your preferences and seasonal favorites. Others surprise you with diverse arrangements, keeping the excitement alive with every delivery. How much say-so do you want over the bouquets that get sent?
  • Flexibility. Look for a flower club that offers membership durations that match your expectations, whether you seek a short-term gift or a year of floral fun. The most flexible flower clubs have no rigid prepayment requirements and you can skip a delivery, cancel or pause your subscription easily.
  • Cost. How much are you looking to spend? Don't forget to factor in delivery fees, because they're not always included in the main price. Also see if your bouquets will come with a vase on the first delivery or if you'll want to add one a la carte.
  • Customer satisfaction. What's the word on the street about the service you're considering? Look for a flower club that consistently delivers fresh, long-lasting flowers and handles any issues promptly and professionally.

At Top Consumer Reviews, we have taken the guesswork out of finding the best flower clubs for you. We're confident that our research will make it easy for you to send flower arrangements that will delight for months on end!
