From You Flowers is your round-the-clock flower delivery company: you can place your order online or through the toll-free number any time, any day of the week, for delivery throughout the US and to more than 140 countries worldwide. If you get your order in prior to 3PM in your recipient's time zone, your bouquet can be delivered the same day. From You Flowers is a sister site to another flower delivery service in our review, Send Flowers, so this site may feel familiar if you've shopped there too.
Some budget options available here
What kind of flowers are you looking for? It's easy to browse your options with From You Flowers by the occasion, and there's a separate page just for birthday bouquets. You can also order plants plus gift baskets and food if you want something a little different from a traditional arrangement. And, if you're on a budget, check out the Sale link -but don't get too excited when you see "Under $30" , because the lowest-priced flowers on that page at the time of this review were still $35.99. But, we did some digging and found three options for a dozen roses priced at $29.99.
Keep an eye on the extras
Pay close attention to the details when you choose a flower arrangement at From You Flowers, because there can be a lot of extras that really add up. For example, on one of those $29.99 rose bouquets, the pictured vase came with a $12.99 surcharge; only the "no vase" option was free. You can also add other items, like a box of chocolates, a teddy bear, twice the number of roses, and so on, depending on the type of bouquet or arrangement you select.
No total cost until you enter your payment info
What will you pay for delivery? That's another area where you may encounter lots of surcharges with From You Flowers. Want your flowers to arrive before noon, guaranteed, instead of the default "delivery by 5PM" ? That's an extra $7.99. Saturday arrival? Another $9.99. What we really didn't like about buying flowers here is that your final total is only displayed after you enter your payment information - and we're not in the habit of handing out our credit card details just to find out what we might pay for shipping and handling. From some reviews we read, it's safe to say you should expect your delivery and service fees to be anywhere from 50-100% of the cost of the flowers themselves.
Too many complaints
We're not sure what to think about the reputation of From You Flowers. On the one hand, the company has an "A" rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau - and typically that means that there's a good track record of handling customer concerns, even with more than 1,000 filed against From You Flowers over the last three years. Checking out what customers said in their BBB complaints and in other places left us feeling less than reassured, though. The pattern seems to be that flowers are delivered late or not at all, or the bouquet that arrives is vastly inferior to what was pictured on the site - and it takes a report filed with the BBB to get any action on the complaint. It left us wondering if From You Flowers really has "over 7 million satisfied customers" like they say they do.
Too much room for improvement
We give From You Flowers a slightly higher rating than its sister site, Send Flowers, because we were able to find ratings from people who actually had a good experience here. But, until this company makes it less of a hassle to get a refund or replacement when problems pop up, we don't feel comfortable recommending it as a flower delivery service you can rely on.
Fresh flowers are a part of some of life's most significant moments. An engagement ring nestled in a dozen red roses. A red-white-and-blue tribute arrangement at a veteran's celebration of life. That "just because" bouquet when someone needs to know they're loved. From Valentine's Day to Mother's Day and a thousand other occasions, flowers are the perfect way to show your love, gratitude, or appreciation.
But, if you live in Memphis and you're trying to delight, surprise, or honor someone who lives in Miami, you can't just run to your local florist and pick something out. That's where flower delivery companies come in. Most florists (including your preferred mom-and-pop flower shop) participate in one or more networks, like FTD and Teleflora. These connections let you place your order and have it brought to life by a florist in your recipient's area, easy-peasy.
Because so many florists use these networks, you'll often find the same arrangements featured on their online stores. That's where attention to customer service really makes the difference: any network florist will be at the mercy of how the store on the receiving end actually pulls the arrangement together, and sometimes the quality on that side isn't what the original florist promised. When that happens, the best flower delivery companies will take responsibility for your satisfaction - either through a refund or a redelivery, often with a different local florist if available. That's more or less "business as usual" when you're buying flowers from a traditional online florist.
However, that's not the only option for flower delivery. You can also choose to send flowers from a service that works directly with growers: the bouquets are fresh-cut and carefully packaged, kept chilled in transit, and delivered right to your recipient's doorstep. These direct-to-customer flower companies are a great solution if there aren't any florists local to the person you're sending them to - because FedEx and UPS can get just about anywhere in the US. Another plus with this type of flower delivery is the price: you'll often get twice as many blooms for what you'd get for the same money spent at a more traditional flower shop.
So, where should you buy your flowers? Your options are almost as vast as the variety of blooms themselves. It might feel a little less overwhelming if you use these criteria to guide your choice:
To help you get the best floral arrangements delivered exactly as expected, TopConsumerReviews.com has evaluated and ranked the most popular flower delivery services available today. We're sure your lucky recipient will feel a whole bunch of happiness and sunshine when they see their beautiful fresh-cut flowers!
